The pre-orders start April 10th. I've already debited by checkbook against grabbing the digital edition. I've giving them my last bits of faith for the MMO genre. I think we should coordinate (eventually) whose going to be playing and where.

Hell I'll give it a go. I haven't been keeping up with it, haven't even beaten Factions or Nightfall...or EOTN. I should probably do it sometime.

I heard two big nonos: There's a cash store(I tend to have an addictive personality so I try to avoid this) and...you can't jump. Kind of a dumb thing to hit on, but I jump like, 90% of the time when I'm moving around and I would be sad to be land-bound.

I'm waiting for a review before I commit (as well as some sort of assurance that the cash store won't be evil), but I'm very interested in GW2.

So I've been playing a Norn Mesmer for the beta. So far, it's pretty awesome, really enjoying the story quests [spoiler]At one point I actually get to incite a minotaur riot by becoming one[/spoiler], but I'm getting to the point where my story missions are like 2-3 levels above me, which basically makes it impossible to solo.

I'm just wondering what everyone is playing as this weekend, and what your impressions are with the profession/race you chose.

Also, what plans do you have for the release? Are you going to stick with the same style as what you're playing now, or something completely different?

As for myself, while the mesmer is pretty cool, I plan to be one of the new races that hasn't been beta released yet (Asura or Silvari), and either a Ranger or Elementalist. I plan on trying them out in a future beta.
