Although it could be Vad. My thoughts that he wasn't mafia turned out to be a misreading on my part. I doubt that Kaden could be mafia after he just royally fucked the mafia out of a kill. I don't think Kayne is mafia either since she's basically our sheriff, and Ashe because he has the vote buff power. I'm obviously not mafia, unarguably, because if I was then the game would be broken as fuck. So we have 17 and Vad to choose from.

Kayne, use your "ping" on Vad and tell us what Pokemon and power he is.

If we can't determine who to kill based on that alone, we should lynch both Vad and Ashe (depending on how Vad and 17 vote), killing Vad, and letting Ashe have 3 votes to evolve. Then he can just kill 17 and the town wins.

Hopefully I've alleviated some of the suspicions about me. Would like to see the town pull this out after such a ridiculous defeat last game.

Vad is definitely pretty high on the list. He hasn't been super active and we don't have any information on him.

Kayne is also reasonably high on my own suspicion list. The power is ok, but not something that, to me, proves a townperson. We have no idea what Lickitung and Farfetch'd could do and it's possible one of them had an investigative power. I'm not saying we should lynch her, atm, but I'm not completely convinced and I have no reason not to voice that.

17 I'm going back and forth on. His power is crazy good right now and, if he's mafia, that would mean really bad things for us. It's just that if he's a townsperson his power is basically meaningless and if he's mafia then it straight-up wins the game.

Ashe I don't think is mafia, not because of his power, but because there's no reason Rose would use his ability to PM someone he could already PM (assuming these mafia members can PM each other like they've been able to in every other game of mafia we have ever run on these forums).

Doe I'm not suspicious of, because of reading.

So that's where I'm at right now. Kayne/17 can be flipped around at will and you have my in-order list of suspicions.

Also, if the intention is the try to evolve me, then I would prefer if only one person voted me. 3 votes evolves me, 4 makes a majority. Its too easy for someone to try to play those numbers by withdrawing or adding a vote at the last minute. I would prefer not to evolve at all.

I'm still very on the fence about 17 being mafia or not. Evolving to Blastoise or Wartortle, to me, means an offensive use power. I'm thinking that if he IS mafia, my power was intended to help counter Withdraw for balance. Here's the problem with that - by reducing votes by 2 and also being able to vote differently himself, he counters 3 votes single handedly. Even with my adding votes, he nulls both of them and then he and the other mafia member (if there were 3) cockblock by voting differently. That would leave 3 others of us to vote for him, which doesn't make a 4 vote majority. The math doesn't work for us. The only way for him to die is a kill ability, and today is the only day its possible to evolve me - any other day after this will mean its a majority vote. Its too large of a risk to do it in general.

If we try to evolve me AND reach a majority vote (in otherwords, me and one person vote myself, the rest vote one other) then we are certain the mafia can screw with the numbers by voting differently or together depending on who it is. So evolving me seems to also be not worth it.

I would prefer if we majority lynch Vad. If we do hit a mafia, then we by ourselves the ability to have more vote options next day phase (if our doctor gets lucky and blocks a kill). Doe hasn't been able to block a kill during the night yet, so that gives doubt on him, but we also have GM confirmation that he can repeatedly protect someone from day lynches. So he can't be mafia. As he pointed out, it would be game breaking.

Kayne is an option, but having access to abilities like Doe's would make the mafia break the game as well. However, I suspect that she can't target the same person more than once per game, which would make it possible.

Kaden is a risky option. Sure, he did a powerful move. It could either be the most ambitious late game mafia strategy in the world, or it could be that he's a definite townie. I think the townie option is most likely.

Who else is in this game that I haven't named? Doe, Kaden, Kayne, Vad, myself, 17... That leaves us at six, right?

Honestly, based on powers, I think Kayne and Vad are our mafia.

I hadn't actually thought through that, but yeah. It wouldn't take much for the mafia to screw with that. If there's only one mafia left it might only delay things (which is definitely bad), but if there are two left, then it could just end the game right there.

I really do not know what else to do to convince you guys I am not mafia. I can say it till I am blue in the face, swear on a stack of holy books, whatever, but it'll mean moot till you kill me off and find out you guys were wrong. You'll also lose whatever benefits my ability gives as far as information gathering goes. It's not a threat, but if you guys who are accusing me of being less than honest about who I am, you'll lose what could be a very valuable tool. I personally do not care about the ability as far as being able to save myself. I'd rather help my team than use it to save my own hide.

I'm trying my best to help out, gave you a play by play of my ability usage and am even now waiting for a ping back from Mal for a reading on Vad, which I will gladly provide once I have it.

My ability isn't extensively useful for telling who is who as far as who is mafia and who is just a townie, all it does it provide you information on what somebody can do, if I am able to mimic it. As far as being able to do the same person more than once, I really do not know if I can or not. I've been assuming I cannot.

Vad might just vote himself out if he gets another mark. Right now, with Ashe's +1 ability (I think that's what he has, not entirely sure. If you can confirm, that'd be great), we might just have the numbers to negate the -2 from 17's ability and vote him out. 4 is necessary for majority. Maybe it might work, maybe it won't, but we can try.

Also, Ashe, I can still protect people during the day (my power is fucking broken as hell) so if people wanted to dick around with the votes I could just save you while you had enough votes to let you evolve.

It actually makes a lot of sense for that to happen, in some cases.

Iron Defense. Responding in the same tone, I clearly would know exactly what the name of that ability is and that it shoots rockets and kills all the townspeople. Given that you've explained to us in the past and all.

I'm not pointing at you right now, anyway, given that I don't think your first ability is something the mafia should have (-1, sure, -2, no) outside of the context of someone starting town and evolving into mafia.

Not worth the risk. From the wording of my ability, I'm fairly certain that I have to have exactly 3 votes to evolve, no more, no less. So even if you prevent me from dying to a 4 vote tampering, I still won't evolve and we lose a lynch that leads to the mafia getting a free kill.
