No it wasn't. They're getting rid of it because it's a bad set of stats on a summoner spell. It's one thing to have something like Nashor's Tooth, which is situational, but a summoner spell is way more of a trap for newer players.

I really like the new itemization options we're getting peeks of here. They all seem like they get their own effect, which I think is the first step towards a DotA-ish itemized game of which I think LoL desperatedly needs to catch a hint of.
"Oh, you're support? Well... You can buy wards and support items, that's basically how you itemize. I guess one of them has a decent active."
In DotA/DotA 2/HoN a fed and skilled support will shut down the enemy team and in LoL, even though I arguably find them the highest role to play (solo queue for sure), they just don't get to make such a big impact.

Seriously want a cyclone staff. I'd say maybe even a Force Staff but they seem to want to avoid any item that will let someone else potentially grief, so that option is a bit gone. I would love to see more support style items though. Items with small stats but a disable (like Sheep Stick or Cyclone Staff) or maybe an item that can cast a shield onto someone, things like that. Something that would appeal to supports for the utility reasons and dissuade the "lol ward machine" meta (though personally I want all gp10 items to go to hell for that same reason).

Much liking the new shop interface. As someone who spends far too much time rushing through windows trying to find whatever it is I'm thinking of, this will help me out a lot.

I hope they never itemize disables. Ever. There's also already an item that creates a shield.
I think the new support oriented items fulfill pretty much everything support could be looking to do. Supports getting more gold in a lane is almost certainly not going to happen. It looks like ADC are becoming more expensive with the new items and, really, you can't compare the gold effectiveness of an AD vs a support.

They're changing how Malz and WW's ults work. They're attaching the damage from the ults onto the animation instead of the suppression. So moving forward you can QSS out of the suppression, but you'll still be taking damage until you move far enough away to break the animation (a little more than melee range for WW and a bit more than cast range for Malz).
I really like being able to start early itemization for a cleanse. As it is now, you simply can't start working on a defensive item until you finish your IE/PD.

Apparently they had a mana shield in mind but it was too broken on everything not support, so they decided against implementing it for now.

That's good. Sounds like it'll still be a very effective counter, but not quite "this is some bullshit".

I heard the jungle changes enables Malzahar to be a decent jungle because of the changes to leashing. Them void spiderlings.

Elise also became a lot stronger in the jungle, too.
Apparently playing carries out of the jungle will be viable again, which I think is awesome. As it is now, just farming the jungle, most of the time, just puts your team behind because of pressure from the other jungle. GP/10 shouldn't mean "I can camp lanes non-stop without losing any real gold."

So I was glancing at a few things and i realized that the wording of GP's Raise Morale and Ryze's Rune Prison were outdated on the Champion page.
Raise Morale still says it affects allies and Rune Prison says it prevents enemies from attacking...

not sure what you mean there. GP can activate his E to boost nearby champions and I'm moderately certain you can't auto attack during Rune Prison.

Oh. i thought Raise Morale was changed quite some time ago so that it only affected himself.
But I know I have killed Ryze a few times while in Rune prison. Rune Prison is only a root that hold him in place. It doesnt stun him so they can still attack in range
