Finally started playing. Current thoughts are that Aston and Roland are pretty much exactly alike, comparing BL1 and BL2. They're both so... well-rounded that that challenged the other Hunters can complete easily are a bit harder for them. Still, I like Aston's backstory and the be decent at everything playstyle meshes well with my personal credo.

The way you can change Aston's turret is quite a bit different from Roland's, too. I like the versatility that they added to the characters this time around.

Finally got this game...Rocking a GUNZERKER...mostly because he had two guns.

Finally got a deal on ps3 for this.

Everything is so much stronger than last time. Pimped a no-turret Roland in BL1 so the commando was an unappealing repeat. Gunzerker is tits though. Shame they need to be lvl20~ before you can take decent skills. Also disappointed by all of the assault rifles, I've looted automatic pistols with better stats.

Yeah, I found rifles consistently underwhelming through the whole game. The only time I ever used one was when they came with interesting shot types like a grenade launcher or rocket launcher.

Otherwise, I never found a reason to use one over an SMG -- for rapid fire (Hyperion SMGs are beast, btw) -- or a sniper/heavy pistol --for the longer-range stuff.

Hyperion's bad initial recoil really turned me off. All their other stats are great but I end up wasting half of every magazine. Prefer Dahl and Jacobs but Moxxi's good&bad touch were too good to pass up.

ugh that assault rifles suck. I've been trying an assault rifle run as nathan-fillion (whoever the fuck) and have been wondering why I couldn't do shit. So much easier with sniper rifles

Finally found a good assault rifle. Capain Blade's Rapier, +200% melee damage. Almost never shot anything, used HP regen and speed skills from zerker's Brawn tree and stabbed everything to death. Was doing 20k damage with melee override.

Started TVHM and meleeing stuff is a bad idea. Switched to Gun Lust tree for gun damage. Pretty chaotic when I'm bouncing between 2k and 12k damage, they should have smoothed that out.
