If anyone hasn't heard Heath Ledger, star of great films suchs 'Knights Tale', Brokeback Mountain, Ten Things I Hate About You, and more recently Batman: The Dark Knight. Is dead. Reportedly from an overdose on sleeping pills.

No...if he couldn't seperate a darn comic character from his mind than something was wrong before that. Mentally anyway, but yea to me it was merely an accident of him taking sleeping pills or something was going wrong in his personal life.

Whatever...I know protraying 'The Joker' wasn't the thing that drove him to kill himself...IF he did. I don't know the story all I know a great actor and father is gone and it's sad.

I didn't say it did. I was just thinking out loud that it's possible that, as an actor, he had to tap into a dark part of his psyche to play such a dark, twisted character. That might have helped (in some way) to lead towards depression. It's just a thought, it's not even speculation really.

Apparently he had been suffering from insomnia since taking on the role of the Joker. Some nights he only got about two hours sleep.

I am like honestly really sad about this, he was one of my favorite actors, other than just being a great actor he just always seemed like he was a great guy in general. It really sucks that this happened.

Some nights I would be thankful for two whole hours.

On a serious note, I don't feel upset at all. If it was a suicide, then he took the coward's way out. If it was an accident, then I'll probably change my attitude.
