OMG! DnD 4th Edition Just Came Out
#1
I am SO pumped.

A friend got the book on Friday and explained it to me tonight and it sounds so much simpler than 3.5 and it REALLY is. It is a lot more balanced as well. I can't wait to play. Check out the sweet new character sheets:

Beware, it's a pdf file.

I have mixed feelings on this.

Would you like to explain any of those feelings?

They took away the negative racial traits and added two bonuses to stats for racial traits and they added some really cool things. I still love 3.5e

I read the PHB.

Not a real big fan of the change, but that could be because I was raised on 3.5 *shrug*

The way I see it; who cares?

Don't like 4th? Play 3rd, or 3.5, whatever. It's not like there isn't a wealth of material for the previous generation.

The only thing I don't like is miniatures. Like hell would I spend that kind of money on it.

What if someone already had all the miniatures?

I've never been pumped to get a manual on anything. Even a game.

That said, when does the next campaign start. Seriously.

I find the pre-made campaigns to be boring.

Although hearing about people play 'the world's largest dungeon' made me laugh.

Let's start a game using vent and the program at the same time. EPIC

I would murder you all.

I'd make a Goblin Rogue.

So, basically, we can accept a couple more people into our group.

We play online, hit me up AIM (at Borglesplotch) if you are interested in how to go about this. You don't need to own any of the books or really even have any previous tabletop experience. We are all learning this new thing together.

We are making characters this week, and setting up backgrounds and such, probably through to the Saturday after this one. We plan on gaming once a week, preferably on Saturday but if schedules require it Friday.

Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.

edit; Post in the new thread on the DnD board, if you are going to.
