We don't know what the deal is yet with people who have existing power ups.

I think they should keep them. I mean im sure there is a reason as to why they earned them in the first place.

Um, we already stated that those that currently have powerups would keep them. That's the reason that we shut off any further Spiritken when is was powerful so as to keep it from being a pointless upgrade.

... I realize I never mentioned it, but with this new release on techniques, Spiritken is able to be gotten again. This was the reason it got locked, and one of the main things that made us go make changes.

Im not saying it wasnt too easy to get. But with a bit fo a reform, I think it would no longer be a slap in the face.

Spiritken is harder to get. We didn't say we were make it super-hard, just harder.
Maybe it looks easy at first glance, but you'll find it's a bit harder then it looks once people actually begin going for it

To be honest, I think all those with Spiritken should go down to the level at which they have the requirements. It's blowing the power levels out of proportion to have it at these levels.
I mean, c'mon. Why should my Max Ki be over 20,000,000, while other's who have been here longer don't even have an upgrade? It's crazy. If nothing else, I'll volunteer to take the dip. ![]() Mal Nova Wrote:I do apologize for using the word rape. Then there you have it. I'll take the dip, and I urge other Spiritken users who are significantly below the requirements to do the same.
But even if I'm the only one to do it, I'll do it. EDIT: Btw, I don't remember even getting a reply from that PM awhile ago. I must've missed it somehow. ![]() Mal Nova Wrote:I do apologize for using the word rape. There are four separate definitions for the word rape, two of which describe vegetation...

If you want to take the dip, then that's alright. We just didn't want everyone complaining that "OMG I shouldn't have lost what I earned!" If you guys want to rp it back, we encourage that, by far! But we can't force you to lose it. Really, that's a man to step up and agree to the setback. And yes, it does suck that people like KV don't have SSJ yet and people that just joined have SK. But this upgrade will fix these issues, just trust us on this. We just got tired of every race having very similar issues. So the races are more diverse. No, one race is not more powerful than the others. Quite the opposite. Some races will get easier, smaller upgrades at multiple intervals while others will only get two total upgrades with a nice power boost.

Okay, Krillen, since you volunteered, I'll do it here soon

I personally agree that its unfair that some who have been here longer and RP better dont have a power-up while some got a power-up over night. Also as we speak about this, im not sure I deserved Spiritken. So I think its only fair I take the dip with you. Sometimes you just have to give something for fairness sake. ![]() Sage Wrote:Holy shit. The knives and everything.

Well, I don't feel you guys need to. I certainly am not giving up my power-ups. But if you're sure, I won't stop you.
02-15-2005, 09:04 PM
You dont need to, you fulfill all requirements. I admit I am not sure about this. Thats why I decided to ask you something.... Do you think I deserved the power-up? And I want you to awnser honestly. The only way Ill keep Spiritken is if I deserved it, beacuse I would feel bad to have something some have strived much longer then myself and dont have it. It took Rei a year to achieve SSJ. It took me a few posts to achieve Spiritken. I dont think thats fair.
![]() Sage Wrote:Holy shit. The knives and everything.

Both you and Krillin earned the power-up. If we didn't think you deserved it, you wouldn't have got it in the first place
02-16-2005, 12:04 AM
Quote:Originally posted by Jackie Chun It took Reijin about four years before he first got SSJ actually, although I'm sure he'd love to point that out himself. =P As much as I've bitched about the whole Spiritken thing, I think if you have it already, you should keep it.
02-16-2005, 12:11 AM
No worries. I could really care less about Spiritken. If/when I ever get to King Kai's, I'll start working on a power-up there.
Until then, nuts to Spiritken I say. It actually feels better to be weaker... ![]() Mal Nova Wrote:I do apologize for using the word rape. There are four separate definitions for the word rape, two of which describe vegetation...
