Introduction

I just realised that I have no idea who a lot of people on this site are, thanks to my year+ inactivity when the site was repopulated with youngin's. So I thought we could do a thread that just gives a brief rundown on who we are (if you're comfortable with it, that is.)

My real name is Scott. I live in Queensland, Australia, which is the north eastern most state of the country. I'm 22, born in '85, dating a girl for a little over a year now who I hope I'll marry someday when paying for living isn't a devastating thought. I have a Bachelor of Information Technology, and after a lot of disappointment trying to find a decent job for ~2 years, I've finally landed a job working for an I.T. business that looks after 20+ business' computer systems around town that range from bowls clubs, engineers, doctor surgeries and real estate agents. I still live at home, mostly to save money as living costs are ridiculous where I live (over half my pay check would go to rent alone if I moved out.) I think I'll always love DBZ style fighting; quick paced, superhuman clashes with energy. I just don't ever get tired of that. I'm also Christian and am intellectually stimulated with theology. I'm a leader of a youth group for 15-17yr olds at my church, and I'll be giving two talks over the next two weeks, both of which I haven't started yet.

So there you go. Oh, I also tend to refer to Australia as 'Aussieland', Canada as 'Canda' (and often pronounce it 'Canadia' without even realising it now), especially when making fun of Bra. ^_^

Oooh, fun.

My name is Rebecca, and I live in Saskatoon, Sask, Canada. I'll be 21 in 12 days, and I'm doing alright for my age. I've kind of coasted through life since my dad died 8 years ago, struggling to get through school, getting into two 2 year long relationships. My last one ended almost a year ago. I'm now with the love of my life, we've been together since August 2007, living together since November 2007, and hopefully we'll get married once we're finacially stable. I'm finishing grade 12 now through adult courses while I work. I just got 95% in both my grade 12 english classes. I'm considering my choices for universcity...but I'm taking it slow.

I work at a petstore part time, which doesn't pay the bills, so I have to get a second job. I love my job, I just wish it paid more than 8.60 an hour and gave more than 25 hours a week. I have no religion, I'm manic depressive and on anti-depressants that don't seem to work but make me sick if I miss even a day so I can't stop taking them. I love reading, and watching shows like Queer as Folk, The L Word, and I'm a trekkie.

I own 4 rats, a hamster, 3 rabbits, and have 3 ten gallon tanks of fish.

Um, that's about it.

Um, my name is Laura, I live in Columbus, OH (USA). I'm 23 years old, no kids, no husband. I work as a cashier at Shottenstiens (Value City) for 7 fucking dollars an hour. I had a brief stint with college, and hope to go back, but I want to go to ITT Tech and get my bach+ in IT.

I dropped out of high school when I was 18 (I only had about 13 creds of the 22 that i needed to graduate, and with the shit that was going on, I just gave up on it). I got my GED the following year, and it hasn't really done much for me. I moved out of the house when I was 16 to live with my Aunt and help her raise her young children, she kept me in school until I was 18, which i subsequently ended up dropping out of when I moved back in with my mom. Lesson learned: stay in school, kids.

uh, what else am I missing here? Oh, religion, I'm Wiccan, although I do tend to find myself praying to God when I'm in some hairy situations, mostly out of habit because I was raised a Christian all the way up till I converted to Mormonism, which didn't last long, then found Wicca.

And I've been pretty happy ever since, I guess.

My name is Evan and I live in the Columbia/Jefferson City area of Missouri. I'm seventeen and am single and have no job. I drive and have a car and I plan on going to college.

I just got elected class president for the senior class so I have to give a speech at graduation, which is really cool. I've taught myself guitar for over two years now and have been growing my hair out since, as well. My hair is currently to the mid back and I plan on getting it to dreadlocks by the end of the summer.

I have no religion but I spent several months learning and studying different religions, so I understand them. I also like to debate/argue.

My aim is guitarlife09

IM me if you want to know more ^_^

I'm Emily I'm 18 years old and I currently live in Vancouver, WA at home with my parents. I'm dating Waffuru (David) on this site, and we've been together for a little over 2 years. Not really any talk of marriage or anything serious like that yet. Uhh... I dropped out my sophomore year and got my GED. I took a break from school for awhile to sorta find myself because I was also learning that I was bipolar. I'm now on meds and doing much better than before. I plan on going to Devry University in the fall for Game and Simulation Programming. Not much else to say, but I guess I'll list some fun facts about myself:

- I'm not a true redhead and I've been cutting my own hair for about 2-3 years (except now I just do bangs)
- I have 1 pet, a cat named Callie who is a calico
- I have a giant pink Hello Kitty themed computer

Name is Levi, like the jeans. Not Levy. Levi. I'm 21, I live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Graduated highschool, and have been trying to get my shit together to go to school abroad. My time has mostly been spent working at various jobs, and the one I have now I've had for the longest. Doing technical support for cellphones at 11.50 an hour, it pays off the bills and let's me save a little on the side, but if they ask for people to go home early, I'm on the top of that list if I can help it.

I've been in my first serious relationship for 2+ years, and it's stuck. Things are a bit hard as she was going to school in the states, but now she's graduated and all she has to do is get stuff financially secured and we should be able to spend more time together either in the States or in B.C. I'm looking to go to school for business, maybe accounting, and my dream job is to do something in Radio.

I've got 10 years of writing and roleplay experience under my belt, I can't draw worth shit, and I like to play around with pixels, making 2-D characters for side scrolling games.

I can't have pets since my roomate is allergic to fur. But I'm thinking of getting a couple of Degus and keeping them in my room.

My name is Alex(ander). I turn 20 in under a month, and I live in Clarion, Pennsylvania. I'm currently living there, taking summer classes and working as a summer RA. When the fall pulls around, I'll technically be in the second semester of my junior year, although I probably won't be able to graduate early due to the limited availability of courses. I've been dating the same woman for two years as of three days ago, and just based on things, I wager we'll still be together way down the road (although he parents are major, major bastards).

Hmm, I've been writing since I was 11 or 12, and I've run about a half dozen rpgs in that timespan. Two of the most popular ones from that list include Friend or Foe and it's spiritual successor, Another Destiny. I'm writing a novel, although it's a slow process that's simmering on the back burner and probably will be for a while. I've been a part of Chubbs for nearly three years, although I am relatively reccessed when it comes to partaking in all the OOC revelry.

Ummm...trying to think of anything else. For religion, I'm an atheist and have been since middle school. I have a six-year-old bearded dragon named Jade.

Oh, right. I'm not really Atheist. I believe there's probably something more then life, but I can't say I think it's a deity living in the clouds with a flowing white beard. Nor have I really found a religion that I completely agree with.

Hello! Me llamo es Tim, and I live in Saltsburg, PA. I'm 19, single, and I work as a Utility Technician for reliant Energy for 8 hours every weekday. That's the fancy word they use for 'janitor dude that does the bitch work' and I hate every second of it. I plan on going to some sort of college eventually, probably to get a teaching degree. Maybe History. Who knows. I like to draw, but I'm not really good enough to make a living off of it. I'm told I could if I worked at it, but that leads to another thing; I'm chronically lazy. I've been doing RPGs since I first got on the intarwebs at 10, mostly DBZ ones. Chubbs is the first one where I had to extensively write, and I loved it enough to stay for four or so years.

I live a fairly boring life, content to chill in front of my computer, so nothing too crazy to talk about there. I am an atheist who is fascinated by religion, a pacifist who loves weapons, and a tenderheart who has trouble caring about people. I am a contradiction of myself. I have a cat named Oreo who is almost as fat and lazy as I am, my other pets have at some point died or left and I haven't had the heart to get more. At one point I had three cats two dogs a hamster and a mouse. At once. That's all I can think of.

My name is Michael, often abbreviated as Mike, occasionally Mikey, and once or twice Mickey, Mick, The Michael, and Mitch. I sometimes refer to myself as 'the Mikester' due to my being megacool. I have gathered many nicknames over the years, such as MJ, Yaehne, Yester Yester, Yesticle, Yogi, Yuppy, Trogdor, Yawn-e, and many more I cannot remember. My middle name is Jordan, hence MJ, and that makes me Michael Jordan; suck on it.

I hail from Regina, Saskatchewan, of the country formerly known as the Dominion of Canada. I was born here and have lived here my whole life. The first 1.5 years were spent with my sister and mother in an apartment; then with my mother, sister, grandma, grandpa, and uncle at my grandparents' house until I was 8, when my uncle moved; then my mother was kicked out soon after my 12th birthday, and I hesitantly moved in with her in a triplex, where I resided until shortly before my 15t birthday, when I moved back in with my grandma and uncle, him having moved back in, my sister having just moved out, and my grandpa having suffered a bad fall months ago which resulted in him ending up in a home.

My attitude towards life is fairly negative. At times I can hate it and at others I am very apathetic. There is always a small part of me that thinks that everything can work out, that all humans do have the ability to be pretty much always be good, happy, and strive towards glasnosts. However, this flies in the face of my logic, which is what I depend upon more than anything else in matter of what I believe in thought. I think that my philosophies in life work on two levels, those that I think are true and those that I believe are true. My thoughts often contradict the beliefs, even though I have rationally shown that the thoughts are superior, but such is human nature, no?

I am an atheist, and although this has been so since I was in the third grade and I was hit by a car while riding my bike, it was not always maintained for good rationale. Over the past year and a half I have grown a vast amount intellectually. I used to be very idealistic, extremist, and absolutist in my political opinions, but I have learned that I will never be satisfied as a human with them, nor would others. I love to engage in discussion of spiritual matters, which has honed my logical abilities, making sure that I don't set up strawmen or attack them as often as I once did.

A part of me really believes that, in some significant way, I am superior to a vast amount of the human race. I have no evidence for this, but merely intuition, and I also believe that although many may have a similar feeling, that mine is distinct, special, and destined to have a bearing of truth to it.

I wish to be a novelist, despite myself having very much trouble resigning myself to writing like that. I often get ideas for short stories, television skits, et cetera, but I never write them down, mainly due to apathy. Partaking in philosophy and physics leisurely would also be very nice for me, and I hope to have many allegorical tales that reach international claim. I think I can contribute a lot with my intellect and reasoning skills, which is why I also think being a Member of Parliament, particularly of the House of Commons, would be worthy endeavour later in life.

I also think I have one of the best sense of humours on the face of the Earth.

I am not in a relationship, but I am tied up emotionally. I have strong feelings for some whom I have never met face-to-face, but we talk frequently on the phone. The two of us have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions over the past year, and it remains to be seen where this will conclude. My best friend lives in Montreal, but she is to be coming down here for a week in the summer followed by me going back with her for two weeks.

My name is Ethan. I am a freshly turned eighteen year old graduating from high school today. I live in Lewisberry, PA which is a nice little place just outside of Harrisburg. By hobby I am a martial artist, magician, musician, actor, and writer. By profession I am a barista at the local coffee house and will be attending Pitt next year for communications with a journalism focus (plus a minor in theater). I am an utter band geek and have been in marching band for four years. This summer our bad will be going to CHINA to perform in a pre-olympic festival. I am single but dating and attending frightening theater parties. I consider myself philosophical and write every now and then about my thoughts. My main belief is that not enough people sit around and think for the sake of thinking. I consider myself religious and am pronounced a Catholic. I don't entirely agree with my religion, though, (which heavily goes against my religion) and make a lot of belief decisions on my own.

Uh, my name is Matthew, I'm 19 years old, live in the UK. I have 3 sisters, 3 black cats, and 1 jack russel dog (the only pet that is actually mine is a male, 8 year old cat called Leo, the rest are family pets). I loved DBZ as a kid, I watched every episode. I've never really been too interested in writing, but when I first found this site it peeked my interests, so I decided to give it a go. I think I've been here for nearly two years now, I stopped writing after a year, I wasn't enjoying it anymore and it took up too much of my time. I've always been Sazuaa, I've tried changing character a number of times, none of which were successful. I would say I'm an atheist, although I've been baptised, and had a first holy communion, I just can't believe in God... My interests include, video games, poker, movies, crappy reality tv shows. My life is boring beyond belief, I am extremely anti-social, I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when I was 12, I guess my family would probable use that as an excuse for the way I am, I personally never really think about it much, neither do I tell people about it, so this is pretty rare that I'm telling you guys. That's about all I can think about.

My name is Zak, i'm 19, i live in Boston, MA officially although i have cousins in New Hampshire and i stay with them somtimes. My Dad lives in Cork County, Ireland - which would be where i was born. People used to tell me i talked funny, but they don't anymore - i think i've lost most of my accent. I go to Boston College and i play football there, though i have never actually played a down in a game, i dress for games though. I shattered my ankle this spring during the last quarter of the spring scrimmage, so football might no longer be a possibility for me - which has taken alot out of me emotionally and physically lately. I just completed my freshman year, but i am considering transferring to University of New Hampshire since it will be easier for me to get back into football (injured) there than here. I was planning on transferring to Ohio State to play football, (yes, i talked to Jim Tressel in my home Smile ), but that was before i shattered my ankle. Now i have no idea what i'm going to do, about anything. By the way, Football has been a major reason for my inactivity this year.

I'm Catholic, and i go to church just about every sunday. Sometimes i question my faith in the church, but never my faith in God. i think priests are like middlemen in your dealings with God and i'm very skeptical, i think the more people that have the oppurtunity to force their interpretations and assumptions about faith on you, the worst it is. Faith should be something between you and God, and no one else.

The only thing i've ever been dishonest about on this site was my last name, which i said once was O' Connor. and it is not, although it is similar to my cousins last name and my ancestors name, it is not mine and i am not sharing mine.

My name's Jason. I've told very few people my last name and I intend to keep it that way. I'm 22, and I build hyrdraulic cylinders for heavy equipment for a living. I hate my job so much it's nearly driven me to suicide. The only reason I'm still there is because it pays very well, and I can't afford to work a job at average pay.

With that fun little tidbit out of the way, I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. (Manitoba, as you know, being far superior to Saskatchewan)

I have a dog. He's a chihuahua, and his name is Nacho.

I'm fascinated with cars, and I, myself, drive a 400 horsepower '95 Trans Am during the summer, despite the exorbitant gas prices.

I desperately want to attend university but I honestly... don't know how to apply. It's like some jerk throws up a wall at the very last moment every time, and I wind up outrageously confused.

I am a Christian, but I've all but lost my faith in the church. I'm disappointed, as I was baptized only seven or so years ago, but... them's the breaks, I guess.

I'm clinically depressed and I have obsessive compulsive disorder. As a result, my... unique mental state has intruded on my everyday life far more often than I would like.

I'm an amateur autocross racer, I love to write, I love music, I'm fascinated with genetics and virology, and while I despise war, murder, and all of the connected atrocities, I have a morbid interest in weaponry. I have a deep interest with ancient Rome.

I have never been 'in love', although I have been involved with a couple girls. I just don't... connect with people. I value my time alone a great deal.

My brother has caused myself and my family an enormous amount of trouble over the past few years. He developed drug habits for anything you can imagine, barring meth and crack. Everything else was fair game for him. He pissed away over ten thousand dollars, was nearly shot in the head, and wound up in dozens of fights as a result.

I lack direction in my life, and have become jaded, bitter, and apathetic. I have developed an unfortunate mentality that causes me to immediately consider anyone I meet a waste of life. Should they prove themselves otherwise, I change my mind, but, still, that shouldn't have to happen at all.

Despite all that, in the last few years I've found myself... far more serene than I used to be. I'm much slower to anger, and I just feel better about things now days, although I still experience a great deal of negativity.

So, yeah. Perhaps I won't be referred to as 'mysterious' all the time anymore. XD

I'm Nathan, 20 years of age and live in London, England. Yeah, the most extorted city in the world. I'm currently in living with my parents, and attend University, taking a course in Film Studies and Creative writing. Lived on campus during the first year, but attended from home this year. I'm on the verge of moving into my final year in september.

I own a black Polo. Let me jsut say that driving in this country is pretty expensive. Petrol freaking goes up every freaking damn time. Then their's my phones, I have a fixed price plan on my contract phone so it's all good.

How do I get by you ask? For starters I receive a maintenance grant and on top of that, I'm a silent partner of an international restaurant. I usually just sit in the office going over finances amonst other things. Plus I've still got heeps of money from working at summer gigs last year.

Relationship status you say. Single, I've been single since February 06. The last girl I had was a crazy chick, always getting into trouble, and like a sucker I'd bell her out of trouble every single time. We split up after 3 months for the most stupidest reason. Haven't heard from her since May 07, even though I've tried to get in touch with her. She's the reason why I haven't desired to be in a relationship since. I pretty much enjoy the single life with no strings attached. Don't know when I want to settle down. Why should I right now? I'm still young.

Interests? Football Football Football. Or what you guys in the US would interpret as soccer. I don't want to ramble on about it because I pretty much watch every sport there is, save for a select few.

Activities? Play for my Universities football team, and did attend my uni gym, until my yearly membership ran out last month.

Religious Views: Christianity.

Pets? Large fish which live out in my garden. A black and white, three year old male cat. I couldn't have anything other than a cat. They're pwn. Caesar pretty much takes care of himself. He's been lounging a round a lot in the heat lately. Can you blame him? He's enjoying the weather.

That's pretty much me. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just hit me up on AIM or MSN.

Name's Baron. I'm 18, turning 19 in July. I live in Baltimore, MD. I've changed homes several times due to DSS, hopping from group home to group home. Last school year I attended my first year of college and dropped out for personal reasons. Now I'm living at home with my parents again, helping out my family any way I can. Currently unemployed, but hoping to land a job. Currently single, and currently trying to land a girlfriend.

I like football (American style, bitches), playing chess, writing, playing CoD4 (Get on and get owned!), and hanging out with friends (getting high, drunk, grab girls, whatever).

I am currently playing Aero on Chubbs and Deadpool on AD. Used to be Gokua here. Used to be Kimimaro, Shikamaru, Zolf Kimbley, Luigi, and Tien throughout my tenure at FoF/AD.

Even though I'm 'new', technically, I'll participate.

I'm Theodore Mihai, last name not important. Mihai roughly translates to Michael or Mike so I generally use that. I'm but 16 years of age, and live in Ploiesti, Romania (Mr. Romania ftw, for Heffers, and the rest who remember me). The black hole of economy and living. Currently going to high-school to an average one in my city. Year 10 at the moment.

I call Romania the black hole of economy because it is impossible to send money outside the border to buy things. I've tried. It's impossible. And banks don't help because of their huge fees. Not to mention our prices here are annoying. Stuff like a PS2 game, that's over 2 years old, is being sold at 200-250$ a copy. And the new ones about 300$. However the actual consoles are sold at no more than 50-100$.

Currently dating a girl, and have been, for 6 months. But it's weird, because I'm technically dating more than one girl, but not of my own accord. It seems girls around me have a habit of deciding that we're together without me agreeing. Though my current girlfriend is driving me nuts.

I generally dislike sports, although I've recently discovered I'm very good at most of them. I can never be made to watch a full soccer match, because I fall asleep immediately. It's just too boring for me. Playing it is different though. I play football, soccer, tennis, table tennis, basketball (being 6'8" helps), and I am able to swim better than most average 16 year olds.

I'm a nonpracticant Christian by legal status, but I'm actually an atheist. Which makes it funny when people write me down as 'non-practicant atheist' on official papers.

I have one 8 year old dog, which I received from my great grandfather, days before he died.

That would be all I guess. You can add me on AIM/MSN/Yahoo if you'd like to know anything else.

EDIT:

Quote:I have one 8 year old dog, which I received from my great grandfather, days before he died.

Before my great grandfather died. Not the dog.
