OK, I've got an idea.

Keep the two week rule for members, but when someone has proven that they want to stick around (eg. a year) they could request to be in a list that provides them with a larger length of time before they are deactivated (eg. a month instead of two weeks). Basically, giving those who've proven some dedication to the site some extra time if they feel life might get too hectic to post a (what's considered to them) decent post in two weeks.

Here is an idea.

I dont know if anyone noticed this, but most of the mayor sagas we had in recent...em years have been competition-like sagas. Basiclly sagas which were some sort of competitions in which members competed against one another and formed their own storylines in the process. But I think recent developments (such as the League) have proven that perhaps such sagas have been overdone. Perhaps its time we give more attention to traditional storyline sagas where members feel more connected to the main storyline.

The saga we have in mind at the moment is a storyline saga. The PC's were storyline sagas. We've been giving them enough attention IMO. We just have to keep a good maintenance.

Jackie, I have always preferred actual storyline sagas, despite the fact that the turnout/success is traditionally lower.

I have one in the works that I can't lead immediately (which is convenient, because there are other, more finished ideas already on the table), but it will, most definitely, be a storyline saga.

So, now...just out of curiosity...this thread has been stickied for two months. Correct me if I'm wrong now, but isn't this thread made to make suggestions and hopefully make improvements to the site? Well what exactly has changed around here aside from the addition of customs and the (half assed if I may) revival of quests?

On the subject, any updates on that saga? Christmas is over, New Years is over, and it's been more than a month since the idea was initially brought up and I'm sure SOME progress has been made, so please, give me a reason to stop complaining. Tell me some good news, I don't care if I have to eat my words and sound like a jackass, as long as I get some comfort in knowing something is being done.

News updates? Thats going to change anything? Honestly, they were never frequent, in all my time here.

As for the saga, thats me, I have had not much of a chance all month in doing anything towards it, between work, other obligations and admittedly my own lethargy. Just this new years though I was working on it because it was my first time in a long time that I had caught up to everything in the big ole Real World© and thought to sit down on it. I fully expect to to launch the new saga, in some form, before January is out.

As I told bojack, the biggest problem this forum has is the laze thats hanging over it, the feeling of just getting by(which I share), the fact your posting what you are is giving me hope that things will turn around soon.
