it couldn't be as obvious as Nirvana7x, so I'm going to agree with Rad and say General Chubbs.

Noxu is the last badguy I remember, but he wasn't a badguy.. he was a goodguy! And we saved his brothers.

It wasn't Noxu or Sabin (I'm 80% sure), but I think it might have been the guy that we were fighting the first time I died. I don't remember his name though. That was shortly before the first Dante's Abyss.
