Yes, the checkpoint is inside the portal, since the portal takes you to your destination.

If I pick that path... how far is it from entering the village to leaving? I mean I know it'll be considerably lengthy, but we're talking about some place that looks like the Smurfs' village right?

Crap. I hav ewritter's lock. I've been trying to do it all day, and somewhat yesterday, but I just can't get in the groove. I'll try to have something up tomorrow, but it will be after the deadline, just so you know. Sorry. =(

If it matters, I will be doing Krillin's task, since it wouldn't make much sense for a robotic creature to go willingly into water. I know I could, but it just wouldn't make IC sense.
