I have a question
#1
Hey, I'm thinking about creating a Halo rpg. I'm just wondering how you guys would react to a specific rpg like that.

Don't do it. If people are determined enough to pretend to play Halo, they'd probably go play Halo.

I agree, plus, no one likes you, so no one would join Sad

I'd join, just because no one else would.

Then Furiza/Metal Koola would join cause I joined, and then our cult following

I think it would be a bad idea. Everybody being the commander guy? Or being covenant and flood leaders. I don't know. Seems stupid, no offence.

It could work Tapion, but you don't HAVE to be a character from the game, not all RPG's work like that. You could be one of those marines, a covenant elite, etc, etc, etc. You would start out with weapons depending on your race, and could buy better armor through money you earn.

There could be minor, "shoot-outs" for private fights, and "Paintball" or something for spars Big Grin.

This would all take place on Earth, perhaps some sort of covenant planet you could fly to, and maybe "A remade Halo Ring" or something. (Note: I haven't played Halo 2, and did not make it to the flood on Halo, I got to that level though...).

And of course massive battles could take place over the course of the planet, skirmishes.

There could be training centers, or perhaps you would like to train by shooting at trees.

In fact, you could start in a training center. Training to become a tough soldier from a scared, idiotic, complaining, and weak marine, or covenant.

And stats, could probably go through a system-like Chubbs here, but a bit different.

Intelligence, determination, endurance, strength, and perhaps...accurancy, of course.

There of course would be attack power, but that would be from your gun...

All of these things would go up to something called "Soldier Honours" . This would be the averge of all the numbers, showing your skill. There could also be "Ranking", So the higher your number, you can get a higher ranking. You start a private, and work your way up to lets say...General as highest rank. These numbers would help people solve the winnings of battles in the end of rps. Perhaps there would be a min number of post until you and your "other side of the board (other rper)" would decide the victor.

Man, just some ideas.

I've been playing Halo 2 for hours now. The flood come back and there are more rings. I guess if we start out as covenant 2we can get the energy gun with the green charge up and we can start as marine with a pistol and rank up to master chief. For covenant we can upgrade armors until we get one that can keep us invisible unless we attack or are attacked and for humans we can get master chiefs armor.

Ya, thats what I mean, but in Halo, just wondering, are the Flood insane? Have no intelligence other then "Attack, attack!"?

The Flood is barely sentient. Basically, it's a virus. It infects any biological matter around it and incorporates that hosts knowledge and abilities into the Flood's collective conscious. Yeah, my friend read all the books, and told me 'bout them, that's how I know. If you want a more detailed explanation, I can give you one, after I ask him more about it.

I haven't really read the books, I thought I might start since I finished everything else I've been looking through.

And I'd probably join the Halo Rpg in spite of everyone >< as if my thoughts mattered.

Would there be custom characters, since I doubt Halo offers many?

If I did make it, then yes, you would make custom characters, based on the races I'd have for offer (namely marines, spartans, elites, jackals, brutes).

His reply to the hate letters were even more hilarious.

"...Then I eventually decided that anyone who would come to my page and read that article, and then take it seriously enough to end their lives has problems more serious than depression: the problem they have is 'Stupid'..."
