I made the comment because of the last line. Just because he had been in jail doesn't mean that his jail visit caused his death. I would assume he was at least partially responsible for his death because of behavior he engaged in.

Productive? He was a gang member, and more then likely sold drugs on the street. I wonder how many people lost their lives because of what he did, and just because he tried to make some money doesn't make him a good guy.
