Holy shit. Spiderman 2 was fucking awesome. I work at a video store so I see a fair few movies, and for the past few months the movies have been par or below. I sat down and watched Spiderman 2, having pretty big expectations. I didn't want to, because the last time I did that, the movie was shit. Yet, to my amazement, Spiderman 2 filled in everything I thought it would, and more. It is the best movie I have seen in so very long in an industry that is dominated by Hollywood trash.

I didn't get a chance to see it at the movies, and it came out on DVD yesterday in Australia. Everything comes out in America before Australia, but I still thought I'd voice my happiness with it.

The video game got too repititive. Seriously. All of the little mission things were the same with the civilans. And the bad guys were all the same.

"O noez! i cum to destroy teh earth!1!"

And all of that sort. But my favorite had to be the dude who dressed as an alien and you get a one shot kill on him. That was the highlight.

Oh, and of course when I didn't save and I played for hours non stop and got to the last level of the game and I fell in the water right when I hit the last switch to win and it froze. That was fun. I stopped playing then.

But the whole free roam thing was cool....when you got all of the upgrades...

I thought the movie was amazing (huge shocker there, I know). It was all about how much it sucked to be Peter Parker. They stayed so true to the comic.

I hope they use Black Cat for the next movie (slated for release in 2007, btw). The dynamic she throws into comic was so awesome, and it makes perfect sense considering the direction they're taking the tone of the movies.

Well I thought it was stupid how they turned his personal life against him.

It was like

"Oh my god, I can't concentrate on my life, now my web shooter wont work! NOOO!!!"

That was stupid. Venom or werewolf or something will be that guy who was going to marry MJ because he went to the moon and was an astronaut. Also, Kirsten Dunst is only going for the third movie, then she quits. But she's a bitch anyway. She was like "I would do another movie after 3 if they pay me a buttload of money"

What a bitch.

exactly the same for me...

that night was fun. After the movie we coned cars, stole road blocks (the plastic 4 foot long ones, with stands on either side) and put a watermelon with a smiley face on it in a friends front seat of her car. It was fun... then we went back to my friends house and Spidey 2 was played.

I would smack you so hard if I knew you...

1. The movie was based on the COMICS, now if you don't know how the comics go, then you should bitch about how the movie went. They did an amazing job switching the comics into the movie.

2. In the comics Spidey can't shoot webs, he uses cartridges, but there have been many situations where he loses some of his spider-powers. Be it he can't concentrate, he's mutating, or whate-have-you. I personally have the feeling that he might lose them again in the third movie, because of a form of mutation... and they might go back to say that's the real reason why he lost it in the second movie.

3. Kirsten Dunst was a horrible casting job... I loved every other person they cast for that movie (including JJ... wow, what a great job!) except for her. I would see Eliza Dushku playing MJ much better than Kirsten. So good riddance KD.

4. I highly doubt Venom will be in the next movie, as much as I'd love to see him there. Avi wants him, but Sam doesn't. I expect a second Green Goblin, because they set up for it... it'd be kinda stupid not to go along with what was set up so well. Also, I expect the lizard, since Doc Connors was shown in the movie... maybe even the Scorpion, because JJ will find a reason to blame the whole doc ock incident on spidey. I also have a 'hunch' that they'll introduce the symbiote into the movie, maybe not venom though. I think maybe towards the end of the movie, he'll realize he just isn't strong enough to fight one of the baddies, he investigates a strange alien meteor crash-landing, and he gets the symbiote. Yes, I know in the comics he got the symbiote from the secret wars, but they won't be able to show that in a spidey movie.

5. It's John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson's son. He becomes the werewolf, yes, but that was such a minor enemy in the whole scheme of spidey villains that I don't see why they'd waste their time with him. They'd have a lot of upset fans.
