This is a fan fiction of The Amazing Race my friend and I have been writing, and I'll share it here because I want to.
I'm not looking for grammar editing or suggestions, just root for your favorite teams and stuff like it's a real show!
Soon, eleven teams of two will embark on a race around the world. The prize? One Million Dollars! HERE IS THE CAST! =D
Elizabeth (47) and Zachary (25) ? Engaged
For nearly fifteen years, Elizabeth, a never-married woman in her forties, had been a best friend to a mother of two. When her friend?s son, Zachary, got into his mid-twenties, the two became romantically involved, much to the dismay of Zachary?s parents. ?For a while I listened to my parents and did what they wanted. I always dated the type of girls they wanted, didn?t come home late, and wasn?t a troublemaker, but I fell in love with an older woman, and nothing?s wrong with that in my eyes. Love is love,? Zachary explained. Elizabeth, who is often criticized for her relationship choice, only commented stating that, ?I don?t see the big deal to it all. Who cares about age?? Happily engaged as of recently, Zachary hasn?t spoken to his parents or sister for just over a year, and admits that until they can accept his choice in life, he?s better off with the love of his life.
Elizabeth: With long fiery red hair and a very young figure for an older woman, Liz is often mistaken for a younger girl. Though physically she isn't as strong as Zachary, her courage and brainpower helps complete the team. As Zachary so accurately puts it, her chest is not the only thing well endowed. She realized the race is going to be tough, and claims to be ready for anything we can throw at her.
Zachary: Fresh out of medical school, Zachary is primed and ready to compete in a race around the world. . He has long blonde hair down his back, which fits in with the fact he plays guitar in his own band. He's perfectly fit and appears to be the stronger of the pair, which in no doubt is a plus. Zachary is often described as an overall nice guy who lives his life by goals and values he sets for himself.
Jeremy (27) and Sara (23) ? Parents
A successful college student at twenty, Sara and a few friends went out to a party one night. Unbeknownst to her, it would change her life forever, when she got so drunk that she and a friend of a friend, Jeremy, slept together, and the next thing she knew she was pregnant. The two don?t get along all that much, but Jeremy is working hard to support his daughter, and even Sara herself. ?I?m not a jerk like some people I know. I had a child, and we both wanted to keep it. She?s my everything,? Jeremy admits, letting down his cocky wall. ?I?m ashamed of what I did, but I can say that it was God?s plan for me,? Sara explains, having become more religious after the pregnancy. ?We?re here to work together, because we?re always fighting, and a three-year old doesn?t deserve to have to sit through it whenever we?re in a room together.? The pair isn?t afraid to admit that they dislike each other, but want to learn to work as a team, and win the money to raise their daughter with no restriction money-wise. ?Look out for us. We?re going far, and we?ll be at each other?s throats all the way to the finish line,? Sara says, in-between chuckles. ?It?s the Jeremy show now!? Jeremy arrogantly spits out, as Sara rolls her eyes.
Jeremy: Slightly overweight, Jeremy has long brown hair, which he keeps in a ponytail. Sara is constantly telling him how arrogant he is, but of course being as stubborn as he is tall, Jeremy doesn't listen. "I don't see anything wrong with how I am, so why should I change?" he questions. He says the determination to win, even at the risk of angering Sara, will cause him to do anything and everything he can to win the money to support the real love of his life, his daughter, with the million dollars.
Sara: Sara is tanned with smooth black hair reaching all the way down to her rear end. "I've never had a haircut. My hair is now longer then my arms," she laughed. She feels that her best strength in the game is going to be her ability to keep her cool in the hardest situations, but admits with Jeremy around it's going to be difficult. "I have been known to go off as well," she admits, "So I can't really say Jeremy is always at fault." Whether she has to fight Jeremy the whole way or not, she promised herself and her daughter that she was going to win the race at all costs.
Rachel (30) and Sarah (31) ? Dating
When she was only sixteen, Rachel realized that she was a full-fledged lesbian, and though at first she denied it, and tried to seek help for it, she eventually came to terms with it, and is now fully happy with the way she lives her life. By nineteen, she had fallen in love with a girlfriend, but when she discovered that her girl had been cheating with a guy, she was heartbroken and vowed never to date again. For four years she was closed-minded towards dating, but a year ago she met Sarah, a recently out bi-sexual just looking for a good time. ?Our relationship is rocky at best, but we still love each other,? Sarah commented, ?Neither of us have support from our parents, and we?re looking to gain it,? Rachel added. After applying to The Amazing Race, they decided that it would either make or break their relationship. ?This is it. There is no next level, but I?d like to start taking things more seriously. Let?s call this a test,? Sarah finished.
Rachel: Rachel has a full head of silky brown hair, as well as a swimsuit figure that she is not afraid to use to her advantage. She is an independent woman, living by her own beliefs. "I think the only opinion that matters is mine," she claims, "If someone doesn't like me for who I am, they can kiss my ass," she adds with a smirk.
Sarah: Being the more outspoken of the two, Sarah is often criticized for her rudeness or loud mouth. "I do talk a bit too much," she admitted with laughter. Sarah sports a fairly average frame, a little bigger then Rachel. Though she doesn't have a model figure, she does have very long blonde hair, which shimmers, down her back. She claims her biggest strength is her optimism, which can keep anyone cheerful even at the hardest times.
Summer (25) and Emma (26) ? Stepsisters
Emma?s father walked out on her and her mother when she was only five years old. Meanwhile, Summer?s mother had passed away a year before, a heartbreaking tragedy that always followed her. When both girls were ten, their parents met and a year later married. Growing up together, the two girls became the best of friends, never fighting. ?I never saw the point of fighting with my sister. We were both the only child and for me at least, I don?t take Summer for granted,? Emma said, hugging her stepsister. ?We?ve always told people we?re actual sisters, but we look nothing alike!? Summer mentioned, giggling. At twenty-one, Summer went away to university, and now has a job in New York, while her Emma lives in Cleveland. The two applied to The Amazing Race because they feel that their strong bond will bring them close to the finish line, and as diehard Race fans, they want to be the first fully female team to win the race.
Summer: Summer is very petite, standing just barely over five feet tall. She keeps her brown hair up in comfortable bun, a habit she never got rid of from childhood. Her figure is not exactly model material, but she is still considered cute nonetheless. She claims that the biggest asset to her in the race will be her navigation skills. "I've already traveled all over the country," says the New York Times reporter, "So I'm excellent with maps and directions."
Emma: The polar opposite of her stepsister, Emma is tall, thin, and drop dead gorgeous. She has shoulder-length black hair and twinkling brown eyes. The older of the two, by only a few months, Emma feels like the leader of the duo. "I think when it comes down to it, I take care of her a bit more then she does for me. It just comes with the age." She explains. Emma feels that the race is going to be a test of relationships for a lot of people, but not for her and Summer. "For us, it's all about winning. We don't want the adventure or a way to see if we are compatible. We know we get along, so to us, we're here to win and that's it."
Samos (22) and Ryan (24) ? Teachers
Even when he was young, Ryan knew he wanted to be a teacher. He had a hunger for helping others to learn, and as his parents pressured him to choose an ivy-league school and become a doctor, Ryan ignored their advice, and went on to become a third-grade teacher at a local school. Samos, however, had a completely different experience with becoming a teacher. After getting engaged at eighteen to a girl that lived on the opposite side of the country, Samos found himself without enough money to support them. Barely making it into teachers college, Samos became a teacher, while his fianc? (now ex) got into law, with the money Samos had been earning. ?I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed,? Samos admits in his thick southern accent, ?but I?ve got dumb luck that carries me far.? Upon getting a job in the Boston area, he met Ryan, his polar opposite, and the two have become good friends. ?We?re two pigs in a pigpen. Two slaps of tuna in a sandwich. We?re? forget it,? Ryan said, beginning their interview. ?I know we?re gonna win it,? Samos said, and the two high-fived in a special ?secretive? way that only the two of them knew about.
Samos: With shoulder length brown hair and a shaggy beard, Samos looks alot older then he actually is. In reality, Samos is a young guy in his lower twenties who just manages to get by based off his charm and luck. "I can admit that sometimes I make bad moves, but I have logic sense on my side." Truth be told, Samos is quite the charmer with people and he says that is his best advantage coming into a game that requires alot of social interaction with local people all over the country.
Ryan: Ryan is short, bald, and wears glasses. Nerd? Don't think so! Ryan is as physical as it gets when it comes to teachers, regularly playing local football and basketball games and doing very well. "I'm not cut out for sports," he explained, "But that never stopped me once." He felt that he and Samos made the best team because they were both intelligent, and both of them were athletic. "Some people may think it's sad that the person I trust the most is my co-worker," He shrugs, "Well Samos isn't just a co worker to me. He's my best friend. He's closer to me then my parents ever were."
Veronica (29) and Daniel (29) ? Twins
They might be twins by birth, but the fact that ?Vee? and Daniel are totally different people sets the record straight that not all twins are alike. The two grew-up in a small house, with their parents, and two other siblings. Since they live nowhere near one another, and only see each other on special occasions, the two decided to apply to The Amazing Race, for not only the closeness it can bring, but also the money. ?Vee?s doing well for herself, but that?s another place where we?re polar opposites. She?s here for the competition, I?m here for the money,? Daniel clarifies. ?I don?t really need the money, but I know Dan does, so he?ll be getting most of it if we win. I?m more here to see new things and experience first-rate culture,? Veronica continues. Regardless of their placing, the twins are excited to race, and both being strong, hope to come out on top.
Veronica and Daniel: Both of them have fairly short hair and have almost exact facial features. Both are also fairly fit, but not muscular. If you look close, you can tell both of them have different features, so they are not exactly identical. Oh, and the different sex organs is also a distinct difference.
Veronica: Being a successful African American brings great pride to Vee, who feels like she has something to be proud of. "I for one am not racist at all," she promises, "But some people are, so to have earned my way up the ranks in the business world really makes me feel like I accomplished something for my race." When asked what she felt was her biggest weakness, she thought that it probably her bossiness. "I sometimes take control and when I shouldn't, and I know that's probably not the best way to act when on the Amazing Race."
Daniel: Working full-time with his father in a car repair shop, Daniel just barely gets by in life. "I tried my hand at sports, but I never got the grades like Vee to get past college," he sighs, "So I just live my life by working at the family shop." He had never got to travel like his sister had, and assumed that to be his biggest flaw. However, he knew he was a fairly physical person so that could help in the race itself. "When it comes down it, my relationship with my sister is going to effect whether we win or not. Can twins really work as one? I don't know, but here's to finding out!"
Benjamin (63) and Eric (22) ? Grandfather and Grandson
In his day, Benjamin was not only an athlete, but also a star student. He still exercises weekly at a local fitness club, even at sixty-three. He?s been married for nearly forty-five years, and has never had a snag in the relationship. His youngest of three daughters was married young as well, and had her first son, Eric, not even a year after marrying. Just last year, Eric decided it was time to out his deepest and darkest secret: he?s gay. His entire family was at first unsupportive, but sooner or later turned over a new leaf. ?Eric is the same grandson that I used to bring around with me,? Benjamin concludes about his grandson. ?I?m the stereotypical gay guy. I love to shop, I?m a hair stylist, I?m afraid of everything, and I talk like a girl. Am I damn proud of it? Absolutely.? Eric?s still in college but has yet to decide what he wants to do with his life. ?This money isn?t the most important thing to either me or my grandfather. The fact that it will bring us closer is,? Eric added, while his grandfather nodded beside him.
Benjamin: Ben is not how you would picture a sixty-plus man. He's actually quite built and looks like he could be in his late forties or early fifties. In fact, Ben doesn't even have grey hair, instead sporting brownish-red on his nearly bald head. Of course, that doesn't stop the fact he is as old as he is, and does of course suffer some eldery problems. "I'm not fast or as strong as I used to be," he admitted, "But I'm still a pretty athletic person, so coming into a race of this magnitude is not a problem for me at all."
Eric: Skinny, feminine and also gay, Eric doesn't have much going for him when it comes to the athletic part of the game. "I should be happy that I have my grandpa here," he smiled, "Because I'm not a physical person at all." With a ponytail pulled back, holding his crimson locks, Eric isn't all completely helpless. "I think I got the brains of my grandpa, because I seem to get really good grades. I have logic sense, I know how to keep my cool, and to top it off I have a great relationship with my partner."
Kyshawn (23) and Dave (28 ) ? Dating
Friends say that Dave & Kyshawn are quite the pair, and work together quite well. ?We?ve done marathons, and sometimes he has trouble keeping up with me!? Kyshawn admits. Meeting through a friend two years ago, Kyshawn and Dave didn?t fall in love instantly, and were friends for quite some time, before finally beginning to date. ?The fact that Kyshawn isn?t white and I am is something we?re really excited about. We?re here to prove that color doesn?t matter to us,? Dave tells the producers. Their interracial relationship isn?t the only thing that sets them apart from the pack. The two of them are nearly trained athletes, who hope to score the million dollars and possibly up the stakes of their relationship to marriage with the money.
Kyshawn: Kyshawn is a young, fit African American woman. She has long black hair, which she keeps braided. She has a competitive edge to her, which makes her unable to give up or feel like she could lose. She's an optimist, never looking down until the very end.
Dave: Though small, he has a muscular torso, which makes him seem bigger. His hair is short and dirty blonde, making him stand out more with his black partner. He's very competitive, like Kyshawn, never wanting to give in. His only flaw is he seems to lose his cool easily, something he'll have to learn to control. He claims when it comes down to it, he can change himself and control his temper. He says he understands the race is 50% mental.
Alan (41) and Suzie (40) ? Married Parents
On her twenty-first birthday, when Suzie married her boyfriend of three years Alan, the two were thrilled and excited to start a new life. To put it lightly, they had no idea what they were getting into. Soon to follow would be three children that had the mouth of both of them, and yet, living in an entirely Jewish household, the family is a tightly-knitted group that loves each other more than anything else. Right before having children, Alan and Suzie decided that their marriage was already falling apart, and were separated for four years before getting back together. ?We have major tiffs and we?re both as stubborn as a baby holding onto a lollipop,? Alan admits, but Suzie is the first to pin the problem on her husband. ?I?m calm. He isn?t. That?s the biggie for us, and we wanna work through it. This is real marriage, and we?re here to show that to America,? Suzie adds, as her husband breathes heavily, holding in a comment. They then share a laugh. ?Our family is no Partridge Family, that?s for sure!? Suzie exclaims.
Alan: Alan is your typical middle-age man. He's slightly overweight, has a goatee and mustache, is fairly short and has just barely enough black hair to cover his head. He feels that he does have a slight temper problem, but he is not entirely to blame. "There are things about me that I can change to make life easier," he notes, "But I don't think that's enough. If I have to change, there are things about Suzie she would probably need to fix as well." Alan is a football couch and teacher at a high school, so aside from not having the physical looks of an athlete, he is gifted in the knowledge of that sort of topic.
Suzie: Getting older every second, Suzie is all a skinny middle-aged brunette. She comments that she has all the needed skills to win a race like this, but has no confidence in her husband. "Alan is really very bossy and arrogant, so I feel if we lose this race, Alan will probably be the fall. I can see myself carrying us to the finish line, and I'll do it if I have to." Clearly, both sides of the relationship need to work on some things if they plan on going anywhere near the finish line.
Steve (58 ) and Adele (56) ? Married Grandparents
It?s been awhile since Steve and Adele walked down the aisle, thirty-nine years to be exact. Their life has been smooth, and the two have never had any trouble financially, or with their family. In fact, the two have promised that if they win, at least a tenth of the money will go to charity, while seven remaining tenths will go to their children and their grandchildren, and the rest will be neatly tucked away for Steve to retire on. ?The one thing we?ve barely done is travel, so this is a dream come true for me. I might appear as the regular old housewife, but I can abandon the country club, and the make-up, and the hair appointments. It?ll be hard to do, but I?m here to win!? Adele promises, forging a smile. ?She?s my everything. We get along famously, and she?s my best friend. It doesn?t get better than that, no matter what anybody says,? Steve notes. ?Wanna see a strong marriage? Ours is rock-solid and you?ll see it during the race,? remarks Adele.
Steve: Your normal elder male, Steve has a grey beard as well as some hair on top of his nearly bald head. He's not very physical anymore, as seen from his hunching posture. "I'm not the strongest guy around, and I know that, but I have the determination to win. Adele is here to sight-see, but I'm way too competitive to just lose a race." He grins big, "Count on it." Showing off his determination, Steve noted that he was quite the football player back in his day.
Adele: With brown hair and a wrinkled face, Adele is about as cute as an elderly housewife can get. She's the kind of person who bakes cookies for the kids on the corner or picks up stray cats off the street. "Sometimes Steve tells me I'm too nice for my own good," she laughs, "And I guess I see his point." Being on the race is going to be a great experience for Adele. "I've always wanted to see what all is out there in the world." She says, "And this is race is just a God-send."
Taryn (29) and Julie (28 ) ? Roommates
For three years, Taryn and Julie lived together in an on-campus apartment at their local college. However, a major tiff over living conditions had them not speaking for five long years. ?It was one of the roughest times of my life. I?d gone from having this great friend to being on my own. It was scary,? confesses Julie. No longer able to afford the apartment by herself, Taryn placed an ad in the newspaper looking for a roommate, and Julie answered the call. The two patched up their problems and have been living together happily for three years. ?We?re both smart, we?re both pretty, we?re both sassy, and we?re gonna bring down the house!? Taryn laughs. No matter what the results, the two vow not to fight at all, and be satisfied with however they do. Air kissing, the two then share a hug, and smile.
Taryn: Skinny, blonde, and big-breasted, Taryn is just smoking hot, and she knows it. Unlike the stereotypical blonde, Taryn is a fairly intelligent girl. Though like the stereotype, she admits her love for shopping and clothing. "It's gonna be hard not having the wardrobe I usually have, or the make-up I always get." She feels the biggest advantage she holds is her looks, which is not afraid to use if she has to in the race.
Julie: Like Taryn, Julie is short and skinny. However, unlike her roomate, she is a brunette and isn't as well-endowed as Taryn is. "It's always been a joke for us that the only thing we don't have in common is our boob size," she giggled. Julie is a natural athlete and is a very gifted volleyball player, which she regularly plays all the time. "The biggest assett I have," Julie states, "Is my love for a game. If I'm competing, the only thing I think about is winning. Set morales aside, because they can make or break you."
There they are. The eleven teams. Time to speculate! Who's gonna win, who's gonna lose, and who's your favorite? Episodes will be posted within a few weeks.
I'm not looking for grammar editing or suggestions, just root for your favorite teams and stuff like it's a real show!

Soon, eleven teams of two will embark on a race around the world. The prize? One Million Dollars! HERE IS THE CAST! =D
