Destination: Dante's Abyss
#1
"Will all participants please report to the information deck." A bored voice rang over a loudspeaker system. Several warriors expressed their desire to continue sleeping/drinking/sparring/etc., but that was quickly addressed. "Failure to do so immediatly will result in an automatic expulsion from the tournament."

That got everybody's attention in a hurry. Along the ceiling, a large flashing arrow appeared, directing everyone to the "information deck." The deck contrasted startingly to the rest of the station. There was little decoration throughout what was, in essence, one giagntic room, save for around the doorways. The doorways themselves were twice the size of all the others, for reasons that soon became apparent. A seemingly endless stream of warriors trickled in through the door ways and sat down in one of several folding metal chairs. Several aliens complained about the chair's design obviously not meant for those with tails. The folding chairs were all set up facing a large, make-shift stage, similar to the one Boz had used to announce the tournament's existance.

"Looks like everyone's here." The room had been filled with exctly enough chairs for the warriors present. "As of this moment, everyone here is a participant in the Dante's Abyss tournament, sponsored by Synex Corporation." There were several groans in response to the shameless plug. "I'm here now to give all of you a bit of information before the ships take you all to Dante."

"Why don't they just you tele-tubes? Like they did to take use here?" A faceless voice spoke up.

"A good question. Can anyone else answer it?" The announcer, a human standing on the stage with a microphone clipped to some kind of uniform asked. This tone suggested that he simply didn't want to waste his own breath on the question.

"You can't teleport to, or from this place." Raditzu answered, having tried already.

"There's a stasis field covering this entire area." Koola added, with a smug grin. Having purchased several of the grenade-sized stasis field generators, he hade made sure he knew what they did.

"That is correct. The same sort of field is around Dante. You were able to take a teleportation tube here because, for lack of a 30 minute explanation, we modified the tubes you used." The announcer snapped his fingers after a short pause. Another human male, dressed in the same red and white uniform as the announcer, brought a small box onto stage, set it down, and left. "Moving on. The only thing any of you will be allowed to take with you to Planet Dante is whatever armor you are currently wearing. Any sort of protective suit (Enhanced Bio Suit) will be allowed as well."

"We can't even take a scouter?" King Cold stood up immediatly, expressing his annoyance at having purchased the device specifically for this event.

"No. You may not even take a scouter. Now please sit down so I may continue." After a few choice expressions, King Cold sat down. "Any items that are not armor will be placed into one of these boxes. It will then be locked using a fingerprint, or whatever appendage you choose. This is to ensure that your items are not in any risk of being stolen. Not even we can open these boxes without your fingerprint, so there's nothing to worry about."

"What if we lose our arm in the tournament?" A morbid, but entirely plausible situation in this tournament.

"Look, 'what if's aren't my job. And, frankly, I'm not paid enough to take more time than neccissary explaining all of this. The last thing on the agenda is this little collar." The human pulled what appeared to be a plain, black, collar out of a hidden pocket. He snapp his fingers again and a manequin was brought onto the stage. He fit the collar around the manequin's neck and it immediatly resized itself to fit in a choker-eqsue fashion. "On Dante there are several 'safe-houses', or bunkers. Within each bunker is a device that deactivates the dematerialization feature of the collars." There was a small murmur at the use of the word 'dematerialization.' "Failure to enter a bunker, and turn off this feature, results in an immediate activation of the collar." The announcer snapped his fingers once more and the manequin, without a flash or a sound, shook for a second, then turned into a pile of dust. "I assure you, the collar does not care how strong or fast you are. Oh, and tampering with the collar in any way will result in the collar's activation."

"And we're just supposed to trust you guys with something like that strapped around our necks." It did seem like quite the leap of faith.

"Get over it." Raditzu, who had picked a seat as close to the center of the room as possible, responded. "They've done the same thing for every tournament."

The announcer nodded towards Raditzu. "Now, with all of that taken care of, it's time for everyone to board the ship." He waved towards the door they had come in through. "There will be several waiting rooms where you may lock you items in, then you may proceed to the security station where you will be checked for any extra equipement. Please have your armor off and ready for inspection when you enter this room. From there you will each be fitted with a collar and sent on your merry way." He scanned the room. "Any questions?" Several people raised their hands. "No? Good." He was off the stage and out of sight before anyone could say a word.

OCB: You heard the man. For the tournament, you will be considered to have only your armor. The ship will arrive at Dante Monday morning. Consider the ship be the same as the Loading Station, in terms of what you can do.

The demon watched uneasily as the evnt's unfolded before him. The mention of the collar was some thing he didn't want, but he respected their wishes. Turning around, he made for the door. Walking in to one of the diffrent waiting room's. He nodded to a security guard as he walked over to him. A box placed on the desk before him. He undid his blet, which held all of his item's. Placing it neatly in the box, the man closed it.

"How would you like it to be locked sir?" The demon thought for a second, remembering about what the people had said in the room about loose of apendeges.

"Retna." The man nodded, entering the needed information, then motioned for the demon to lock it as such. He did so, a print ment of his eye appearing on the screen then a confirmation light flashed on.

"If you would continue on sir to the checking station, sir." He pointed to a station a bit of the way to the right, a tube leading to the ship there. The demon nodded slowly, then made for it.

As he arrived at the station, he was asked to spread his legs & was padded down, they where searching for item's of sort's. Apon clearence, they strapped the collar to the demon's neck. It hummed as it adjusted to his neck size. And they granted him permission to go onward's. The demon was edgy about this whole facaid now, but he wasn't about to back down.

He walked on down the corridor to the ship. A final security check to make sure he had the colar on was made & they let him thou. The ship was alot like the station And he decided to return to what he was doing before. Training. Looking to the sign's, he followed them to the training room's. And went in to the gravity chamber. Setting the gravity to around 2 times the normal gravity, the demon growled faintly as it pulled down on him.

"This.. Will.. Be... Intresting.." He started to walk around the room, getting him self used to the gravity..

OOC: I'm on the ship.. I'm training.. Gee this is gonna be fun -_-''

"So it has," Goku finally replied, his composure ringing true in his voice. "I thought I might see you here."

Before Reijin had the opportunity to respond, the loudspeaker in the port interrupted. "Will all participants please report to the information deck." Reijin's eyes snapped back to Kakarot, but he just turned, and gave Reijin a final look before walking off. "Failure to do so immediatly will result in an automatic expulsion from the tournament." Reijin knew the look well. The look of sheer hatred. He sighed, and quickly followed Goku and the reptillian alien towards the information deck. Crowds of people began pushing at them, as everyone tried to force their way through at once.

After fighting his way clear of the crowd, trying to keep Kakarot in sight, he began to notice large flashing arrows on the ceiling. "This way for the pre-dead." he commented morbidly. "All potential victims of Reijin, please line up at the counter." he continued to quip, drawing some look.

Soon, he was pushing his way into a large open room, expansive for thousands of warriors, and equipped with several thousand small and uncomfortable devices known as the folding chair. Each found themselves behind one as those in front of them stopped moving, and they each took their seat. Reijin turned and found Goku staring at him in disbelief. He gave Goku a grin, and a thumbs up just for good measure. "Cheers." He'd managed to score seats right next to them. He looked just down the row and saw Trunks trying to sit down and continue to glare his way at the same time.

The love in the room was overflowing.

A large stage was at the front, similar to the one used by the overly-flamboyant man that had announced the tournament. Another man was standing at it, tapping boredly on the microphone as he waited for all the files of people to finally sit. Finally, he looked up and around. "Looks like everyone's here." he said, motioning to the crowd. "As of this moment, everyone here is a participant in the Dante's Abyss tournament, sponsored by Synex Corporation." Reijin heard groans from around him. "I'm here now to give all of you a bit of information before the ships take you all to Dante."

In the front row, another participant stood up. "Why don't they just you tele-tubes? Like they did to take use here?" An annoyed friend of his quickly kicked him in the back of the kneecap, forcing him to retake his seat and slapping him in the back of the head for being stupid. Reijin just assumed it was to cause his victims to die of being overly anxious... to die.

"A good question. Can anyone else answer it?" the man 'answered'.

"You can't teleport to, or from this place." This came from the long haired Saiyan that Reijin had witness the ascended Super Saiyan transformation from. Raditzu. He was only a couple of rows in front of Reijin, and neaby was Koola as well, who seemed to be responding on the same tone.

"There's a stasis field covering this entire area." the changeling commented. Really, Reijin wondered what kind of moron would be in such a hurry to leave when the fun and festivities had yet to even begin.

"That is correct. The same sort of field is around Dante. You were able to take a teleportation tube here because, for lack of a 30 minute explanation, we modified the tubes you used." He motioned to a few boxes that an assistant was carrying onto the stage. "Moving on. The only thing any of you will be allowed to take with you to Planet Dante is whatever armor you are currently wearing. Any sort of protective suit will be allowed as well."

Reijin grumbled in annoyance. All the Saibamen, all the Stasis Grenades, all that zeni he had purchased upon first hearing news of the event from various posters in town was wasted. He was sure he was not alone in this feeling. Right on cue, someone stated his thoughts in a rather moronic way. "We can't even take a scouter?" Reijin sighed. That IS what the man had just said. Reijin looked at the one that had asked the question, and narrowed his eyes. This being seemed very similar to the other two changelings he had met, Koola and his brother Furiza. Perhaps this one was related as well, or at least just a member of the same race.

"No. You may not even take a scouter. Now please sit down so I may continue. Any items that are not armor will be placed into one of these boxes. It will then be locked using a fingerprint, or whatever appendage you choose. This is to ensure that your items are not in any risk of being stolen. Not even we can open these boxes without your fingerprint, so there's nothing to worry about." Again, a raised hand prompted a moronic response.

"What if we lose our arm in the tournament?" a random participant joked, recieving a few laughs. Reijin smiled smugly. "I'd be worried about losing your head." He heard a few laughs his own way, at the sick humor, but also heard some annoyed sounds from his right. He turned and looked at Kakarot, and chuckled.

"Look, 'what if's aren't my job. And, frankly, I'm not paid enough to take more time than neccissary explaining all of this. The last thing on the agenda is this little collar." The man hurridly answered, growing rather annoyed at the lack of any seriousness. He motioned at a mannequin off to the side, a collar around it's neck. "On Dante there are several 'safe-houses', or bunkers. Within each bunker is a device that deactivates the dematerialization feature of the collars." Some moans were heard in response, and all Reijin could think to say was "I love how they call that a FEATURE." To him, it seemed like some sick inside joke. He liked it.

"Failure to enter a bunker, and turn off this feature, results in an immediate activation of the collar." He motioned at the dummy with a flourish, as it just began shaking a moment, and then became dust to dust, ashes to ashes. "I assure you, the collar does not care how strong or fast you are. Oh, and tampering with the collar in any way will result in the collar's activation."

"And we're just supposed to trust you guys with something like that strapped around our necks." Reijin was ready to respond to this one himself, when Raditzu lazily beat him to it, from a couple of rows in front of him.

"Get over it. They've done the same thing for every tournament." Raditzu shrugged, recieving a nod from the announcer. Reijin didn't see what the big deal was. To him, they were all already dead the moment they signed the sheet. Now was just a question of how and in what way.

"Now, with all of that taken care of, it's time for everyone to board the ship." Several people began to rise around him. "There will be several waiting rooms where you may lock you items in, then you may proceed to the security station where you will be checked for any extra equipement. Please have your armor off and ready for inspection when you enter this room. From there you will each be fitted with a collar and sent on your merry way. Any questions?" Several hands were raised, but the man had been far patient enough with them, and just seemed blank to them. "No? Good." He quickly left the stage, leaving many an unanswered question in the mouths of sheep.

Reijin turned to Kakarot. "Do you need any help removing your armor, Kakarotto?" he asked with a voice so sweet, it could kill.

"Deposit your extra's in this here box," said a raspy, yet pleased voice.

Krillin looked up to see a guard in exotic clothing, and wiry muscles. Krillin looked away, and shook his head.

"I don't have any extras," said Krillin.

The man mumbled something like, "...sure you don't...", and allowed Krillin to pass through. Krillin stepped up on the slanted metal grate, and walked through a magnetic field, apparently to test for any items he might try to smuggle on board. When he reached the other side, an acknowledging 'ding' sounded, and the strange guard turned his attention to the next individual.

Krillin looked about the sterile ship, surprised at its sanity. The entire ship reverberated the light in such a way to sting the eyes. It reminded him very much of a doctor's office from home, though this one had a more ominous glare looming over it.

Krillin looked up just in time to see his friend Kirano step into what looked like a training room. Eager to train himself, Krillin decided to follow him inside.

The training room was amazing. Everything was so clean you could practically eat off it. Weird vents and strange objects lined the sides, and the tiles lining everything seemed to be placed at perfect angles. Noticing Kirano in front of a control panel, Krillin walked up and said, "Hey, mind if I train with you? Dante's Abyss is starting soon, and I'd like to get some workout in."

ooc: Pulling some liquid time here so, can nobody post talking to me, I just wanted to get it up. I won't do it again so don't worry'bout it happening alot.

The thought of these people being able to 'dematerialize' wasn't exactly the most assuring thing in the galaxy, but he would just have to put up with it for the time being if he wanted to get some of this zeni, and maybe engage into a good to-the-death fight or two. If he was about to let himself be put up for execution by anybody, then he could wear a collar. It was too bad that it had to be a collar, this made him feel like a dog, under complete control of their master which the android didn't exactly take a liking to. They probably had the contestants wear these collars because the audiance would like to see if they would make it to the bunkers in time. He wondered what else they would pull in this little tourny of theirs, but the black-haired android just decided to forget all of this and do what he was told, for now.

He slowly rose up from his seat in the small room and grunted as he did so, as he had begun to relax in that chair. Just as slowly, he walked towards one of the staff members in the uniform with a box in hand. The hell fighter just put the his scouter in their without asking if it was available.

"I will be using my fingerprint" 17 spoke aloud.

The member of staff only said "Yes sir." He did not like to be called sir, made him feel old, when he was not, he was only in his 20's, as far as he knew. He then put his index finger up against the indicated spot and once a green light apperaed he left the spot and headed towrad the line-up for the space-pod. The line up was pretty large, there must have been over 40 people there, possibly 50. It was not moving very fast as they had to search them for any items before they could board the ship. Once it became his turn the android spread his arms out and within seconds they were done. Then it came time for the collar. It was small, but he still hated it. Once the device was on it fastened quickly, which was a bit painful at first, but he got used to it. Many of the other fighters picked at theirs a bit to see if it was realy on, which it was. They all piled through a long passageway leading to the ship.

Once they were inside some went in the direction of the training room, others went to the bar, but the male android only stood teher, not sure where to go.

Krillin shook his head at the mention of sparring.

"Not a spar, no. Just training. I'm through with sparring until the tournament," Krillin replied.

Krillin awaited Kirano's response, but he guessed it to be alright.

Krillin stretched out his arms and sighed. He was a bit tired, but he was sure to get rest before DA. It was his first major tournament, and there was more at stake than just monetary items. His life and soul were in the pot, and from the looks of it, he got stuck in the blind.

Even though the storage rooms weren't as fantastic in size or design, they were perfectly made for their purpose. Rows upon rows ran along the left and right side of the wall as well as the back, Goten's eyes widening as he had guessed to be almost a million of the small slots where the boxes were being taken out of or placed in. "Um... aw, I can't use my gun thingy!" The tiny Saiyan groaned to himself as he remembered that was his only other thing on him aside from the L.E.N.S scouter positioned within his eyes.

"Next." Muttered an almost unaudioable voice over the constant drone of fighters that stood behind in the audience hall he had came out of. "NEXT!" The voice shattered all of the others in little competition.
"Oh!" Goten blinked, unaware that the line in front of him had depleted thanks to his thinking to himself. Smiling, the hybrid trailed his way inward to stop in front of a large alien like creature... it stood a towering 6' 2" over the youth but never the less its mass in muscles was anything but impressive. The alien's eyes drifted down upon Goten.
"Please remove any items that you were told to." It sounded blunt, obviously this strange character wasn't getting his fair cut of the pay either. With a nod, the demi Saiya-jin extracted from his pockets a small capsule which he had obtained to hold his small 'laser' gun in. Fingers coming up as he widened his eyes, removing the scouter from his retinas. Feeling a sudden rush feeling come over him he drifted backwards slightly, it had been a long while since he first put those on, and the view of the clear world had been much of an over powering feeling.

"What containment unit would you like?" The creature spoke again, ignoring Goten's small fit of dazed dancing.
"Um..." The youth hadn't really listened much to the speaker... all he had heard was something about a fingerprint and during into dust with something around your neck. But he decided to go along with the fingerprinting, tilting his head back and smiling up as he spoke. "I want the fingerprint thingy that Boz person talked about!"
With little more enthusiasm then a man walking down death row, the creature took a small box from the wall and handed it down to the Saiya-jin, telling him to place his finger against the small panel on the top. The youth did... for a moment nothing happened, then a green light flooded running from top to bottom before shining red indicating that it was completed. The box echoed as it undid its locking mechinized then popped open, the inside was lined with a strange yet dreamily soft deep blue cloth that felt almost like velvet as Goten placed the small capsule and contact lens inside. With the youth's hand withdrawing the box snapped shut, the alien turning to slide back the box into the opened space, more green light shown from behind somewhere as the fingerprint was scanned... by the shelf? It seemed strange but Goten smiled widely as the small screen facing out into the room where it was being held glistened his name. "Son Goten"

"Neat! So that's how they keep track of the boxes!" The small child giggled slightly out a laugh before glancing over to the security area where he had been told to continue onto next, giving a half dedicated smile as he turned about, wanting another to go before him. The youth hadn't the faintest from what to expect from a group of people that were supposed to search you for other items... and he wanted to make sure someone else experienced it first before moving on in himself...

Tapion stood from his seat. He looked around the crowded room as they all stood up and started to walk out the door. He was amazed. This type of thing, he never participated in. He was a little worried now, he needed to use his speed to get to these "bunkers" if he didn't want to die. He still didn't know all of the details to the tournament but this already was enough. He didn't want to die so he had to make it. But no items? That means he couldn't use his new LENS or his battle charger. His battle charger was the only thing he had to power up to a stronger level. He had to use his intellegence then.

As he thought about all of this, the konat shuffled out of the doors with the rest of the crowd who were grunting and seemingly not liking the whole event now that they couldn't use thier items. Tapion disliked that as well since he would be weaker than a lot of people but his base ki was still higher than most. He decided to take one last look at the people.

"LENS....activate. Scan ki of all people within fifty yard radius."

The LENS contacts changed the colors of his pupils as numbers flooded the tiny screens, filling up his eyes and mind. Numbers flashed into his retina so quickly, Tapion was almost amazed.

"Organize ki from the most to least."

Then Tapion's eyes grew wide. There were such high levels of ki. He looked around, trying to find them. But he couldn't tell. He just knew that this would be one hell of a tournament with such high levels. His LENS had detected close to their maximum powers as well.

"Find me."

He said. He was basically whispering to hiself and one of the people next to him gave him a funny look. Tapion disregarded him and continued to stare forward as the list scrolled down a lot. Tapion couldn't believe how far he was down but he was still higher than a lot of people. At least that was good. He realized he would most likely die in this tournament because so many people were stronger than him. Tapion was almost frightened to even participate, but he couldn't pass up a chance like this!

Finally, the konat found his way outside of the doors and followed the crowd to where the boxes were to put his items in. He waited in line patiently as he thought to himself and looked around for anybody he knew. He foiund nobody, just hundreds of warriors that looked so strange and others looked like normal humans. Tapion never saw so many people that were stronger than him like this. He had his encounters with stronger people but not this many. It gave a bad taste to the konat's mouth. He despised the fact he was not as strong as a lot of the people here.

Finally, his place in line was up front. His thoughts betrayed him back into the darkness of his mind as the person was talking to him.

"Please place your items in this box. Failure to put your items in here or you do not take something off, or out, from your person will cause a lot of trouble. We do not like cheaters."

The guys rambled on but Tapion just nodded and pulled a small container from his pocket and opened it. It was a small, cushioned box. Tapion reached to his eyes and took out his contact LENS and placed the advanced technology into the container. He then put the container in the box and then he untied the brown bag from his waist and placed it in the box-it was his zeni. Tapion finally raised his hand and pulled the battle charger off from his wrist and placed it in the box. He sighed at doing that but nodded, reasurring he had no other items on him.

"What type of lock would you like on the box?" Asked the creature.

"May I have two?"

The creature nodded.

"Then I want an eye scanner and a finger print."

The creature titled the box, "Now stare into the green horizontal bar and it will take a scan of your pupils."

Tapion did so, a flash of light made Tapion blink but his pupils were copied onto the box.

"Now put your finger on the clear square."

Tapion placed his right index fingeron the square and in a second, a green light ran from the top to the bottem then went all green.

"You may removed your finger now."

Tapion complied.

"Now I need your name so we can find the box for you when you return."

If I return... thought Tapion. But he responded with "Tapion."

The creature nodded and added something on the back of the box then put it on the belt behind him so it would carry the box along with others, to another area. Tapion nodded, turned to his left, and walked out of the area and went to the waiting room to sit in a chair alone in a corner watching the other participants in the tournament as they strolled by...

The demon by now had gotten used to the gravity pull on him. In the process he had increased it to nearly 10x, & was sweating heavily. Cracking his neck, his mind drifted back to the fight he had had with so man people. All the people using energy projectiles diffrent to what he could do.

I have to learn how to do that.. A flash of Bulma's blast she had used on him, that tri beam one. Then Recoome's final flash. All of there attack's ran though his mind, making him more anger. I will learn it.. I will make my own! I don't care!! He started to make diffrent form's with his hand's. None appealed to him as a sort of attack method.

Finally, he came to one, his hand's cupped at his side's. Grinning faintly, he now had to think of what to do. Pulling his hand's back & forth, trying to think of which way to do it, & what to do. Sighing softly, he dropped down in to a push up postion. Then started to preform push up's. His muscle's bulged slightly as he did so. Growling constantly.

Minute's turned in to hours, all passed by as he repeated the procedure, his mind ticking over with thing's of what he can do. He also kept track of how many push up's he had done. Finally coming to the count of 1,000. He dropped & rolled on to his back, sweat covering his face & running down on to the ground. He shifted silghtly, then began to do sit-up's, still debating thing's over in his mind.

Minute's turned in to hour's, ever thing passing around him as he kept up untill some thing struck him. Quickly getting on to his feet. He shook off the sweat, then shifted in to the stance he was in before.

"Focus.. Focus..." Static engulfed his upper body, slowly running up in to his arm's. He slowly focused his mind. The static was blue & crimson red. It ran along his arm's to his hand's, where it was beging to be compressed. The orb was small at first, & it slowly grew. Looking forward, he growled gentle, then threw his hand's forward. "Hadoken!!" The crimson blue orb propelled forward, soaring around the pillar then he spun around, shifting in to a defensive posture. The orb slammed in to him, & it began to slowly weather & die.

Snorting he dropped his arm's, the attack hadn't even effected him. Repostioning him self, he began to cup his hand's again. Focusing on it. The static engulfed his body, traveling though his arm's & hand's. This time, it was all at once. It channeled in to an orb of crimson blue energy. Clearing his mind, he threw his hand's forward, calling out hadoken as he did so. The blast soared forward around the room, this time, he could feel it. The diffrenece in the power. Throwing his arm's up in a defensive postion, it slamemd in to his arm's. Pushing agasnt him. He could feel the energy pulsing from the orb. As he looked in to it, he could see the static inside of it. Grinning gentle he slowly pushed it away, then forced it to disipatate.

"Perfect.." He looked to the gravity machine, he could feel his body was used to it. Looking to the time reader, he could see the time was already three hours in to the time he had entered. rasing it up slowly to 20x, he repeated the training regime he had endured him self under.

Tapion was sitting when a figure in black and red clothing came to him. His skin was of a green color, something he hadn't seen before. Tapion felt this power level earlier while in line but paid no mind to it as it was much lower than his own. Was he being followed?

"My name is Pikkon."

Said the creature when he gave out a hand. Tapion put his hand out and shook, replying as kindly as he possibly could.

"I am Tapion."

Pikkon nodded, "Yes, I know."

This wasn't much of a shock to the konat. He knew he was being followed. He shrugged as he withdrew his hand back. He wasn't good at making the first move, so he thought he would let Pikkon speak. But this guy came out of nowhere.

The konat couldn't stop looking up at the green skin, contrasting to the black and red he wore. He also saw the lips of the figure, they were huge and pink. Tapion thought Pikkon looked strange but to everybody else, he probably looked strange with his pointy ears and his one spike for a mohawk.

The youth gave an awkward half smile as he decided to continue further, ignoring the rule of taking any armor off for he hadn't any. As he walked into the security branch of the examination a quick flash of light traced from his head down to his toe in almost a second flat, two guards dressed to fit stepped up. Both of them varied around the height of five feet, but Goten still hand to crank his head up to look at them in the eyes.

"If you have any armor on please remove it now." Spoke the one to the child's right; after Goten shook his head indicating he had non they both gave a nod. The one on his left glancing over at a screen near the entrance of the door, apparently it held the results of the scan that had gone over the Saiya-jin when he walked through.

Scan results_...

Body weight_... Approximately 65 lbs.
Added weight_... Yes
Added weight reason_... Weighted clothing

Metal object(s)_... None
Other metals detected_... None

With another nod, the guard turned back to Goten. "All is clear, hook him up with the collar."
The second guard turned and left for a moment, returning with a large black ring in his hand which he placed over the demi Saiyan's head. The collar hung loosely from the child's neck before quickly resizing to a perfect fit, Goten's eyes widening as for a moment he thought that he couldn't breath, the sudden resizing was too fast for him to comprehend... but quickly realized that it was indeed a perfect fit... far enough from his throat to allow him to breath without problems yet close enough to his neck so he could snake his fingers in between to tear it away.
"Ooh..." The little one stood awestricken as he ran his hand along the smooth surface of the metal collar, one of the guards coughing in his throat to get Goten's attention turned back to him.

"If you would, follow the hallway behind us back to the bridge it would be highly appreciated." Said with the utmost distaste, for one reason or another, against the child. Goten looked up and gave a nod before following along the hallway back.

The Small Child nearly stood on his chair, trying to gaze at the announcer over the massive Hair of a much larger saiyan sitting in front of him. Every occurance of a dumb, pointless remark was countered with a intelligent statement from a seemingly seasoned veteran at this tournament. The Pint sized grizzled warrior sat back in his chair, dozing off as he listened to the rules and regulations of the tournament.

"Little dude, wake up..." Minoshia's eyes blinked open, The massive saiyan had turned around in his chair, the auditorium was clearing out. The long shaggy hair of the saiyan reminded The Konat of a big black sheep dog with dirty matted hair.

"Hey Thanks for waking me up..." The small Konatsa-jin rubbed his eyes clear of the clumps of yellow "goo" that develops at the corners of all being's eyes. "My Name is Minoshia."

The Dark eyed, Dark Haired figure shrugged his shoulder's in his tight Saiyan style armor, trying to reconfigure himself into a more comfortable position. "I'm Raditzu, Nice to meet you. Maybe we will meet again."

Minoshia stood up, reaching high above his own head to shake the hand of His massive statured aquaintence.

The Two parted ways and headed in seperate directions, Minoshia walked with his head aimed at the floor, NO idea where he was going. Slowly he drew his eyes from his shoes and looked forawrd at the large Bar and furniture set up to accomadate the guests on the ship.

Minoshia sat in a long comfortable chair and rested.

The demon began to concentrate, the android watching him as a small glow emited around him. His body began to shake & slowly, a copy appeared from him. The android's eye's widened, this was a new one to him. The demon's just grinned then went in to a spar between them selves.

A Small Gaurd wandered into the lounge with a plasma Rifle.

"You sir! Where is your collar?!"

Minoshia felt his neck and realized he never picked one up as he entered the Ship.

"I never recieved one."

"Alright let's get you one then, You have any Items you need us to hold."

"No."

"Alright this will just take a minute."

The Gaurd injected a needle into Minoshia's arm. A Small screen on his wrist lit up with a a series of words and statistics.

It was an understatement to say Burter was just alittle jumpy for tihs trip, as the last time he boarded something this big resulted in a catastrophic crash which killed dozens of innocent namekians. He did not want this actioned repeated, even if he would be fighting everyone aboard the ship.

The reptile had a hard time getting through the gate, as he was very nervous to have strangers putting his hands on him. He wasn't always like this, but perhaps it was just the fact he finished shedding that kept the guards continueally checking him accusing him of hiding things under his scales. After many arguements they finally let Burter pass into the ship where he would meet up with his friends.

Now he sat, tired, in the room he shared with the Android 16. They made a good pair when bunking together, considering neither really needed to sleep.

[]i'm alone, but dont meet me, I have previous engagements planned[]

The heat inside the ship was stifling, even with the air conditioning systems running at full-capacity. So many people were gathered in such a small space, coupled with the fact that the air itself was alive with the energy of every excited warrior onboard. Many were getting themselves psyched up for the impending battles, others were getting in last minute training, trying in vain to excel beyond that of their potential opponents. Others still were having last-minute doubts about their situation, the recently explained mechanics of the tournament worrying them to their core.

One such person was on her way to the security-check, where most of her possessions would be removed, eliminating any sort of technological advantage she would otherwise have access to. One of the girl?s gloved hands brushed through her cyan hair as she stood in an endless line, alone in a crowd for the time being, having left her blue friend with the Saiyan Goku.

?The last thing on the agenda is this little collar.? said the announcer, withdrawing what appeared to be a plain, black collar from an unseen pocket. The man snapped his fingers and a mannequin was quickly brought to his stage. In a few seconds, he?d affixed the item to the mannequin, and stepped back as the collar quickly resized itself to fit like a choker around the dummy?s neck.

?On Dante there are several ?safe houses?, or bunkers. Within each bunker is a device that deactivates the de-materialization feature of the collars. Failure to enter a bunker, and turn off this feature, results in an immediate activation of the collar.? following a snap of the announcer?s fingers, the mannequin seemed to shake, and then reverted to dust and collapsed on the floor.

?I assure you, the collar does not care how strong or fast you are. Oh, and tampering with the collar in any way will result in the collar's activation.?

Bra had a hard time dealing with the sight of those blasted collars. The were just like the ones in Brim?s twisted competition, failsafes to keep everyone in line, only running a different, and much more dangerous, principle. How often did she need to visit one of these bunkers to keep the device from killing her?

All would be answered in good time, decided the young warrior, shuffling forward once again as the line painstakingly moved her ever closer to the desk, where she would check into the ship, and await being released into a Darwinian atmosphere, being forced to fight for her survival.

A few minutes passed, as more and more eager warriors passed through the entrance to the ship, cleared by the very strict security put in place by the Synex corporation. One had to wonder just what Synex did in order to call itself a corporation and run a televised death competition simultaneously.

?Next please,? spoke an exhausted customs attendant, watching as Bra stepped up to his desk, ?Please place all restricted belongings into this container. It will be locked and stored, and returned to you upon your return. Be sure to put all restricted items into this container, because violation of Synex?s terms bears extreme consequences.?

Bra quickly withdrew two capsules, one marked ?Scouter?, and the other ?Cloaking Device?. She also decided to leave her weighted clothing inside the container. She wouldn?t need any weight training on Dante. The halfling dropped them into her little box, stating that was all that she had to declare.

?Alright, do you want a print scan, or ocular scan? I recommend ocular, as it seems to be more common for our contestants to lose limbs and such, than it is for them to lose eyes.? the attendant spoke, utterly serious.

?Okay, I?ll do the eye-one, then. I just look at the screen here?? Bra asked, already knowing the answer. The attendant nodded, and the cyan-haired warrior stared into the lens, fighting the urge to close her eyes as a green light washed over them. Suddenly, the green switched to red, and then disappeared completely. With an affirming chirp, the box closed and locked, and the attendant took it and placed it on a shelf, and within moments, a small screen above her box flashed to life, displaying her name prominently. It would be a useful tool for recovery of the objects.

?Alright, now head through our magnetic impeller.? the attendant stated, motioning toward what looked like an expensive metal detector.

?Magnetic what!?? Bra demanded, having never heard of such a thing, even with all her time spent within the Capsule Corporation.

?Eh, basically a fancy name for ?cheater detector?. You go through, and it makes sure you?re not carrying anything. You know, standard operating procedures and such.? he replied.

?Oh, okay.? Bra agreed, walking through the metal square without setting it off.

?Okay, you?re clear. Now we?ll just put this collar on for ya,? spoke a guard as he raised a wide, black ring over Bra?s head. Carefully, he lowered it down around her neck, where it shrank to fit close around the demi-Saiyan?s neck, covering the golden choker she always wore. ?You?re all set. Head into the ship, it?s got all the amenities available on the station, make use of them while you can, in a few days you?ll be on Dante.?

Bra nodded her compliance and headed through, into the ship itself, where most people were filing off to either the restaurant, the bar, a quiet lounge, or the training section of the vessel. Bra, on the other hand, decided to head for the guest quarters, in hopes of getting a quiet room in which to get some sleep, seeing as how she was running out of better things to do, and more importantly, she hadn?t slept in many hours, and was feeling the effects of sleep deprivation.

The cyan-haired girl passed by a table which read, ?Room Keys - Take One Set - Do Not Lose!? Bra gladly took a key, complete with a key-chain which read ?42?. Matching the key with the room, she unlocked it and went inside, where she immediately flopped onto the bed and turned on the rather nice flat-screen television.

After sitting through the human's boring little seminar, Android 20 proceeded to walk to the check-in stations and secure his items. After waiting in an annoyingly long line, he finally reached the checkpoint. Two humans approached him with a small box.

"Do you have any items you need to store with us during the tournament?" the taller of the two humans asked.

"No, I do not. All I am wearing is some weighted clothing." 20 answered.

"Very well, just step through this detector here..." the taller human requested.

20 walked through the detector, and a loud buzzer sounded.

"Sir, please empty all your pockets of any metal you may be concealing." the short human stepped forward.

"I'm an android you idiot." 20 criticized.

"Oh, sorry sir." the short human apoligized.

The two men proceeded to slide the collar around 20's neck. As soon as they let go, it tightened to fit perfectly around the android's neck. After this, he was cleared to enter the ship, and walked down the entryway and into the strangely warm craft.

He immediately looked for a sign to the nearest gravity chamber. After a bit of searching and getting lost, he finally stumbled upon the gravity rooms. They were busy. One had a red demon and a bald saiyan, another two humans. He recognized those two humans. It was Krillen and that blond human. He knocked on the chamber air-lock and stepped inside.

"How y'all doin?" He asked as he stepped inside and felt the gravity slightly press him down.

Burter didn't even bother trying to the doorknob, as he knew Bra was most likely sleeping and this would help wake her. He brought his hand back and roughly SLAMMED it against the door, causing a crash and a land stir. Grinning, he heard her voice.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" came the screaming female voice, and some lod ruccus inside the room. Sure enough, the door was jerked open and the grinning reptile came face to face with the not-so-happy saiyan girl. She glared daggers at Burter. "What the hell is your problem?"

He smiled down at his companion, "Nothin, nothin, just wanted to see what was up."

"Well, nothing is up, bye," she said rudely, trying to shut the door. Burter put his arm in and way and pushed it back open.

"Oh yea," he said as if he just thought something up, "I wanted you to come go swimming with me."

Bra looked a bit flustered all of a sudden, turning around to hide of shocked face. "U-um...swimming? I dont think so, Burter..." she tried walking away but he only followed.

"Come on, whats the big deal?"

"I...I dont have a suit...." She lied, moving to the chair. She took a seat, relaxing, trying to get him out of her head.

"Bulma told me she packed you one in her bag. Come on Bra, this is our last chance to relax before the tournament." He took a seat as well, looking at her very sternly. She groaned and got up, moving behind him.

"Fine," she said, going in her mother's bag for the swimming suit. When she got it, she made sure Burter didn't look as she changed clothing and put a towel around her. Even as a girl, she was still a saiyan and had alot of pride. "Lets go," she said finally, finishing off by putting a shirt over her suit.

Burter took a glance at her and smiled. It was funny, too, that the fiery saiyan girl could look so sweet and innocent. He decided it was best no to comment for his sake. As they headed into the pool area around the bottom of the ship, they found it completely empty. Burter wasted no time diving in the 12 foot deep end. He came out, grinning. Bra was amazed at his movements in the water, as if he was a fish and not a reptilian.

"Wow..." she said as he came up. "Um...I guess I'll go in over there."

"No way!" He shouted, leaping up and grabbing her feet. She let out a horrifying scream as she fell into the water on top of him. He let go for a moment, but then began to see the young girl kicking and flaing about violently as she sunk deeper. In a quick movement, Burter dove down and grabbed her , tugging her up to the surfance. It took some time to drag her, but he finally got her to the shallow end. "What the hell was that about?"

After some moments to catch her breath, she let out an angry roar. "You asshole, I CANT SWIM!"

"....Ooops."

A very disgruntled Saiya-jin found himself at the lower end of the snaking line of warriors loading onto the ship. He hadn't even been able to finish his nap. Fortunately, he felt refreshed enough to do a little last minute training. Bardock still wasn't comfortable enough with his mortal body to pose any sort of threat to anyone. While he was waiting, the fighter was using this last opportunity to use his scouter. It was the only item required for confiscation, and the man felt a little naked without it. Reliance on a tool was not very becoming of a fighter, but for now it was his eyes into the Ki of others.

Bardock didn't like the numbers he was facing. He was so focused on reading every 1, 2, and 3 that he didn't realize it was his turn.

"Next."

Bardock stepped up.

"Please remove all illicit items. This includes standard scouters, L.E.N.S. scouters, battle chargers, explosives..."

As he droned on, the Saiyan detached the machine than hung comfortably over his left eye and placed it on the side table. Everything else in his possession was allowable. The humanoid standing in uniform before him placed the scouter in a small box of plain design.

"What security measures would you like to place? Fingerprint, retina, or voice scan?"

"Retina," he shrugged.

"Name?"

"Bardock," the Saiya-jin said, much louder than necessary. He wanted everyone to know who he was.

"Please approach the ocular scanner."

Bardock turned and faced a circular lens and placed his left black pupil over it. A flash of green light passed down and across, mapping his specific retinal pattern.

"Move on, please," the processor motioned, putting his box (which was now closed) into a square slot. The box was sucked inside to wherever the personal items were kept. The Saiyan continued onward to something that look like a large metal detector. A woman approached him.

"Please pass through the device," she droned.

He walked through, and anything he still had with him was immediately identified: Focusing Armor, weighted clothing, and a gold coin which didn't appear to be anything of value or use.

"Please remove your armor."

He did so, and a large ring was placed over the crown of his head and slid down until it reached his neck, right where his vitals were. The metallic object easily slimmed down until it was perfectly contorted to the size and shape of his neck. Bardock could feel a warm pulse emanating from the strange device. It was active, and if given the chance, would completely dematerialize his body before the fighting even began. He was given back his armor.

"You may proceed to the ship."

The process had been very mechanical. He couldn't imagine anyone ever wanting to perform such a task for a meager restitution. Bardock was then suddenly reminded of the collar, and quickly went to find the nearest bunker to deactivate it.

Tapion and Pikkon were making small chat of why they were here and what they had been doing before. Tapion had told the adventure of killing the archers briefly since Pikkon asked why there was a single spike standing up. Tapion wished he had his full mohawk back but he had to wait until it grew out. Tapion looked around and then he realized he didn't know where his brother, Minoshia was.

"So that's how I got here..."

Finished Pikkon. But the older brother was looking around as if there was an emergency going on. Pikkon gave him a strange look.

"My younger brother. His name is Minoshia. I don't know where he is."

"Don't worry, he will be fine."

Pikkon reassured. But Tapion's big brother insticts were kicked in.

"No. I need to find him."

Pikkon shook his head a bit and Tapion got to his feet. He looked around and ran off yelling his younger brothers name into the air, not knowing if Pikkon was following or not.

OOC: I felt like I needed to post.
