Yes, the way out for the cowards. I have a few questions about surrendering.

1) Can we surrender at any time? I mean obviously, if I've got a Spirit Bomb coming at me from Raditzu (or whoever), I won't be able to surrender. But what I mean is this: Say I'm about to be attacked by someone much more powerful than me (...Furiza...), would I be able to surrender before the roleplay gets started?

2) Do I still die even if I surrender, or is DA not that cut-throat?

Yea, you can quit before you get attacked if you want. You dont die if you quit.

Alright, but what if I was attacked? Since we both need to post before the thing is wrapped up, what if I were to use my post to surrender?

Well, no, you have to quit before you got attacked. If your being attacked, the attacker would have to offer you to surrender. If you did, they would get 2,500

Huh? No, you dont have to pay 2,500 for quitting, do you? I was under the impression if you gave up, the person you surrended to gets 2,500 Zeni from DA. Not the perosn who gave up

Wow, this is extremely weird. I misunderstood a LOT of stuff from what you guys wrote.

No, they get 2500 from you for the surrender, so if you don't have enough, they don't have to accept the surrender and can just outright kill you.

BUT if you kill someone, you just win 5,000 from the tournament organizers, so you'll get that as your winnings later.

But say you DONT want to kill someone, but they don't have enough money to surrender. Imagine a case in which I actually won 8o. I don't want to go to hell for killing someone, so I try get them to surrender. But they don't have enough money. What then?

If you wish to just randomly surrender without being in a confrontation with someone, you have to RP meeting a Synex guard and giving him the 2,500 zeni to surrender to him. They should always accept your surrender, but don't take that as every time

This tournament will not affect you going to hell just for killing someone. You are fated based on your deeds in life, not this one tournament. If you randomly go attack someone to kill them, yes, that can factor into hell a bit, but just for killing someone doesn't send you there. You can easily kill in self defence or for a "warrior's duel" or something.

Whoever delivers the coup de' grace is the winner of the 5,000 zeni. It is up to him/her as to whether or not s/he will split it with his/her accompliss. Note, all splitting will be done at the end of the tournament if you wish, not during.

Well, it's how things go. If you want the points for ranking and score, then you engage and fight for a show. That's how you win the tournament. If you are in this simply for the zeni gain, you take your opportunities when you can get them.

I didn't think he earned the 5k, so I just made up some extra stuff and pretended that Synex gave him 2,500 zeni for going as far as he did.
