Though no one was speaking above a pronounced whisper, the entire room was filled with an almost deafening hum. People were conversing about everything from what they expected the weather to be like, to how worried they were about a pet they had left at home. It was the sort of irrelivant conversations that people only made to take their minds off of something to come. To distract themselves from some bigger, larger force. The large room they were in was almost identical to the "Information Deck" that everyone had gathered in on the Loading Platform, complete with uncomfortable folding chairs. Scattered throughout the crowd were warriors who were saying nothing. They wore smug grins, or concieted smirks, and simply observed those around them. They energy in the air built upon itself exponentially as a woman climbed onto a make-shift stage and called for their attention. She wore the same uniform that all of the Synex employees seemed to be wearing. She slipped a microphone onto her shirt and checked it with a small cough. The warriors present grew quiet and waited for whatever it was she was about to say.
"Alright." She began pacing across the stage. "We are about to land at the arena for this tournament. I'd like to start by making one thing clear: this is a publicity stunt first, and a tournament second." Several people turned to whoever was next to them to express their confusion. "The Synex corporation is hosting this because of the almost incomprehensible profit that can be made. They don't really care about who is the strongest, or why you people want to fight. With that said, I think we should move on to the basic rules of the tournament." Though people were still talking about being part of a publicity stunt, they quieted up as a large screen rose from the back of the stage.
"This is the basic layout of the tournament arena." She pointed out areas on the map with a laser pointer as she spoke. "The area labeled 'start' is where the participants will be set down from the ship. Also here is the 'main event' arena and holding cels for those who give up during the course of the tournament. The pentagons marked 'one' are the safe houses, or bunkers, for you to stay in. While in these bunkers, your collars will be deactivated and you can stock up on any supplies that you have run out of. Also in the bunkers are cots, food reserves, and medical kits. The squares marked 'two' are the bases of operation for the Synex troops that will also be participating in this tournament. Their job is, basically, to get in your way. There will be no reward given for killing a Synex employee, but they recieve bonuses for killing you. The yellow bars indicae barricades set up to further impede your mobility. I'm not at liberty to discuss the specifics of the barricades, but I strongly suggest that no one attempt to go through them." The woman paused for a moment, took a deep breath, then continued on.
"As you can see, each area is designated A, B, C, or D. Throughout the tournament arena are cameras designed to follow the events of the tournaments. In the main event arena there hundreds of screens showing various camera outputs to those who are watching this event from the arena. Along those lines, the people watching here will be the ones to judge this tournament. At any given time, they may vote for a participant in this tournament to recieve points. The number of points is completely up to the audience, but a majority vote much be reached for the participant to recieve them."
"What will they be giving us points for?" A warrior waved his hand as he asked his question.
"Whatever they want. Your job is to put on a show for them. Do something flashy, or say the right thing. Whatever. It's completely up to them. To that extent, there will be two warriors, picked at random, fighting in the main event arena. This is a chance for the audience to see what you can do first hand. The warriors will be teleported, via their collars, into the arena when they are chosen. There will be no warning, nor will the match-ups neccisarily be fair." The woman hesitated for a second, then reached into a pocket and pulled out a small note card. Her eyes scanned over it for a second, then it disappeared. With a small cough, she continued, "a few more details to cover, and then we're done. To quit, at anytime, simply say 'I surrender' and you will be immediatly transported to a holding cell for the duration of the tournament. For killing another participant, you will earn five thousand zeni, and for forcing another participant to surrender, you will recieve half of that. Winners of the tournament will be based on the number of points you have recieved during the course of the event. Giving up, or dying, results in all of your points being taken away." The woman glanced over at a side door, where another Synex employee nodded to back. "And finally we'll go over your equipment. For any of you without armor of your own, Synex will supply a suit of Saiya-jin Armor. Each of you will recieve a standard scouter with the Ki Monitor and Q-Wave upgrades. Each scouter also has a copy of the map stored within it. Everyone will also be allowed to carry one senzu bean and one Stasis Field Grenade with them. You may restock on any of the equipement at one of the bunkers. Now, go pick up your equipment through that door," she pointed towards the door she had checked a second ago, "and head down to begin the tournament."
-----
After picking up their equipment, the warriors found themselves being led through several corridors. A low rumble could be heard echoing through the hallways as they filed through. The rumbling grew louder and louder until they exited through a large archeway. All around them, people burst into a thunderous roar. Cheering and clapping deafened the warriors who were still making their way into the arena floor. Across the arena, another archeway opened. Through the opened doors, the warriors could see forests and desolate plains. The participants shot looks around the arena, at the audience, towards their opponents. Dante's Abyss had begun.

Goku vs Uub
OCB: Here's how it works, guys. Both of you were teleported out of whatever it was you were going without warning. You're in the arena to fight. You're each given an extra senzu bean at the beginning of the match so you're both at top form.
You get three posts each. Both of you may also post an 'intro' on top of your allowed three posts. The intro may not contain any actual fighting. If you choose to post an intro, make sure to note that it is an intro at the top of the post.

"This fight's just starting to heat up!" Goku called out with a smile as he gracefully glided into the air, his blue spiky aura blazing about his body. Flipping his feet over his head, the Saiya-jin fighter poised his leg, aimed at the chest of Yamcha. He came soaring down, ready to begin the real battle, and then...
His foot passed straight though the human fighter and hit the ground. The powerful foot broke the ground, cracking around his heel. Suddenly, the ground shimmered from the grassy green into a sterile white. The blue sky was blocked out by a towering grandstand encompassing the entire area, filled with cheering and screaming spectators. Goku removed his foot from the broken tile before him and scanned over the hundreds of tiles laid out to form the arena he stood in. Around the arena was filled with green grass, where a man holding a microphone stood.
"Oh, what is this?" Goku complained. "I bet all this teleporting is giving me cancer." The only warping that Goku wanted to do was the warping that he was consciously in control of. He was sure he didn't just teleport with his technique; something else moved him. It was quite annoying too. His battle with Yamcha was just heating up. The Saiya-jin found a small green bean in his palm. It looked very similar to a bean that grew in a special place on Earth, a senzu bean. Studying it cautiously, he placed it in his mouth and chewed, instantly feeling the revitalising effects.
"Welcome everyone to the first Dante's Abyss Main Event!" the announcer suddenly yelled into the microphone. His voice was amplified ten fold throughout the stadium, spurring on an unbridled cheer from the occupants. Goku turned to face the man dressed in the seeming Dante's Abyss official uniform. "As you all already know, the Dante's Abyss officials randomly selected two warriors from the battlefield and teleported them here to the main arena for the first tournament battle!" Another roar from the crowd erupted, filling the contestant's ears. "Here are your first two warriors, battling for your entertainment!"
Goku felt the tiles beneath his feet shake as a piece of the landscape behind the announcer hissed out steam. The top of the ground slid open and a large, flat plasma screen eased upwards until it was fully exposed, clanking into place. The huge screen turned on, displaying a large spinning three dimensional image of the tournament's initials, "DA".
"First, we show to you, the Saiya-jin warrior Goku!" the announcer boomed into the microphone. The screensaver flickered away, revealing a spinning image of Goku. His name appeared in large white letters and a detailed list of his abilites scrolled beneath it. "As you can see, Goku is quite a seasoned warrior. Born of a powerful fighting race, he has mastered the pinnacle of his race, the Super Saiya-jin transformation, and even trained with the gods themselves!" The crowd once again vocalised their enthusiasm. The huge screen flickered again to reveal an image of the Saiya-jin's opponent. The letters read 'Uub'.
Goku looked across the arena tiles to see a small tanned warrior with a black mohawk, intently watching the details of Goku before they vanished. The Saiya-jin probed him with his ki sense and felt little power, but a dormant energy within him. Uub turned his head, meeting Goku's gaze. Would this warrior prove to be an even better test of the Saiya-jin's new found powers than Yamcha?

Uub stood in the ring staring down the man facing him, the crowd around the two warriors was deafening. The announcer had introduced the man, the Saiya-Jin Goku. He remembered the man, back on Earth he had seen him briefly while the major powers of the Universe battled Radius and Dars, this was not going to be easy, if his memory was correct Bra had said he as well had become a Super Saiyan, and fighting a Super Saiyan was no joke..not even to him. He glanced up at the large screen showing the two of them in 3-D form, a list of their skills scrolling down beneath them and flashing on their most powerful.
?As you all can see the opponent from Earth is no joke. Though young he has attained a level of power older warriors envy. He is skilled in the art of Ju-jitsu, has trained with the Elder Namek Guru and has discovered the power of the Human Spirit.? The Announcer let the words roll of his tong, trying to build up suspense. Uub ignored him, rather putting his full attention toward the man standing before him. He let his sixth sense probe his power, it was elevated, not maxed, and it would take everything he had to battle this man head to head if indeed Bra was telling the truth about him?and he had no reason to doubt her.
As the man with the mike stopped the introductions, Uub realized the bean in his hand, it was small and green and he had used a few back in the Room of Spirit and Time. * I?m going to want to be at full to fight him?* placing the bean in his mouth and swallowing it whole, the same warming rejuvenating feeling he had felt during his intense training flooded his body, forcing his cyan aura to explode around him. The time was upon the two to start their fight and Uub was as ready as he was ever going to be.

The curved cyan spikes of Uub's pulsing aura swirled systematically upwards, ascending up his tanned, lean build. Small self generated currents of cool air infiltrated the thin, ebony strands of the human's punk mohawk hairstyle, animating the inanimate spikes to dance enticingly like focused cobra snakes hypnotising their next intended feast. Uub's taut epidermic layer gently coaxed the large tunnel like veins in his thick biceps to protrude outward, provoking the single women in the crowd to experience a newly appreciated interest in fighting. The subsequent aesthetic alterations were a direct result of the intensifying forces brewing within the orphaned warrior. It was not his maximum, not by far; a better understanding of the Saiya-jin's battle style was wanted by Uub so as to fight with the utmost precision. Light snaps caught the attention of the stadium employees close by to the strengthening human warrior. Gently, like a rain drop breaking gracefully against a green leaf, miniscule cracks snuck from the sides of Uub's boots. Within a moment, these small cracks abruptly jutted open, forcing the pristine bleached tiles around him to shatter into imperfect jagged rocks varying in size.
At the opposite end of the stadium arena, Goku stood vigilant. His dark, black eyes were narrowed, triangulated by his sloping brow. Like invisible mental whips, the Saiya-jin warrior lashed at Uub with his honed ki sense. Patiently he waited, bit by bit assessing the warrior with whom he would soon enter the fray. Such attentitave, concise focus on any event taking place outside of Goku's very thoughts was an unusual occurance, but his Saiya-jin heritage had programmed in him a unique way for him to concentrate on battle. The sudden chipping and remodelling of the tiles surrounding Uub confirmed the suspicion that the Saiya-jin had from the beginning. Uub wasn't going to be a pushover.
Swaying to the undeniably higher power before them, the smallest remnants of the broken tiles shook slightly before gracefully levitating from the floor. Defying the law of gravity, they hovered carelessly on either side of Uub, before the radiating energy holding them in place fragmented them from the outside in until they were nothing but a rapidly fading whisp of smoke. Uub's gradually ascending energy level was losing speed as he approached the plateau from where he wanted to reach. His loose and lingered fingers by his sides curled towards the centre of his palms, coming to rest as his thumbs clamped down firmly on his index fingers. At the completion of the fists, a small cloud of electricity circled his knuckles. Uub was ready for the battle.
Goku's feet shuffled away from each other, heels parting outwards before being followed by his toes. Impatient excitement was finally released from the anxious crowd, spurring the Saiya-jin to begin the battle. His furry brown tail swiftly guided itself about Goku's waist and tightened as to keep itself from becoming an Achille's Heel. The winds sucked in towards the Saiya-jin fighter, exploding chaotically outwards as Goku's navy blue aura catapulted them back.

Uub stood vigilant in the mighty gale force wind?s expelled from Goku?s pulsing navy blue aura. The large chunks of the arena hovering to either side of the human stood little chance of doing the same, and proceeded to launch toward the stands behind him, turning to a fine dust as they hit the rippling barrier protecting the spectators. He had been right in presuming that the warrior had been nowhere near his maximum, and the arena beneath his spread feet buckled and shattered to prove the power dwelling deep within.
Without warning the two ran toward each other, aura?s emanating a slow pulsing glow around them, the ring splintering underneath their footsteps as they entered an unnatural speed. Goku made the first move, thrusting his open palm outward and firing off a quick ki blast to try and catch the charging human off guard. Uub dove to the right, tucking in his shoulder as he hit the ground rolling into a kneeling stance, his own ki attack already charging in his outstretched arm.
?SCATTER SHOT!!!!!? the growing orb exploded propelling a torrent of ki blasts toward the streaking Saiyan warrior. Goku grinned as he weaved in an out of each blast with the grace of a cat, flying toward the stationary human fighter the whole time. * Jesus He?s quick * Goku slapped the last blast away as he came in to engage Uub. Uub stood up quickly raising his right arm to block a jab to the head, and shot out his left in an arcing upward motion toward the side of the taller man?s face. Goku pivoted back, and felt a rush of air blow across his face as the human missed his mark. The two jumped back once more taking each other in, studying each other?s stance, trying to find a weakness in the others guard.
The crowd watched in awe as the fighters erupted in another spectacle of bright light and vanished, loud eruptions echoed through the silent stadium as they vanished and reappeared into sight, always in a different place, always a flurry of attacks and combinations streaming from the two as they tested each other out.
Goku grunted as Uub plowed into him feet first, driving him down toward the ground with intense speed. The Saiyan warrior smashed into the tiled arena surface, backsliding toward the edge of the ring. Uub grinned flaring his aura in chase, the opportunity that he might be able to end this quickly was to ripe to let pass. Goku caught a glimpse of the speeding Human as he slid, he chuckled slightly as he timed out his plan. * one?two?three * as the Saiyan approached the edge of the ring Uub skimmed the surface of the tiles, coming in low and fast.
Goku slammed his fists into the tiles, cracking the surface and embedding his knuckles, his shoulders cried out in protest as they hyper-extended in effort ?AHHHHHH!!!!? the two large tiles ripped out of the arena as Goku pulled, using his backward momentum as a boost he rolled onto his upper back, crunching his stomach and raising his leg?s, he threw them forward, snapping himself up into the air like a whip. He had timed it right, Uub was charging in ?HAAAAAA? rearing his arm?s back his aura erupting he threw the tiles forward toward the approaching human warrior.
There was no time to dodge, he was going to fast and the tiles where moving just as quick. His pupil?s contracting Uub elevated his body slightly, allowing the flat tiles to pass underneath his belly, in a blind effort the human pulled his arms in close and shot his open palms down, charging them slightly with ki as they slammed into the spaced surface of the tile. He shot upward, rearing his head back and arcing his shoulders so as to fly up vertically.
Goku watched in shock, he had not expected that, his eye?s glued to Uub he watched his hands cup by his side and his waist turn 90 degrees ?Kamehame?? he knew the chant, and recognized the whitish blue orb that followed ?HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!? Uub thrusted his arm?s forward, and centered back out launching the massive attack downward toward the standing Saiyan warrior.

"Kamehameha!"
The familar name of Uub's technique sent Goku's attention to his cupped hands. Within them was a pulsing light, the energy collected from himself. Thrusting his arms forward, the orb of energy lingered in his palms for just a moment, with strands of ki whipping outwards before disappearing. The Saiya-jin warrior looked on in shock as the energy finally exploded outwards. A small tear in the orb's physical form sent the energy pouring through the hole, streaming out in a small line before quickly being devoured by the true form of the attack. The head of the beam became distinguishable very fast; the rapid pace of the ki flow created a large bulb that drowned out the ground with its eerie hue. A huge roar of excitement and awe erupted from the grandstands at the sight of the incredible display of power, but was muffled by the crackling of the kamehameha beam.
Taking a step back from the approaching beam, Goku ran several ideas through his head to combat such a potent offensive strike. The ground rumbled beneath his black boots, prompting the Saiya-jin warrior for a decision as soon as possible. Uub floated in the sky, his arms holding rigid to allow the constant flow of his own inner energy to tunnel through them. Any simple energy attack would not stop Uub's blast. Making an impromptu decision, Goku thought it best to fight fire with fire, although the expression had never really made much sense to him. The Saiya-jin spaced his legs apart and twisted his waist to his right with his cupped hands by his side. Immediately a small light began to shimmer in his palms, overshadowed by the monstrous beam on its way.
"Ka... me ..." The words seemed to have a hypnotic effect on the energy within Goku's palms, coaxing the small star to enlarge, reforming into an orb.
"... kakusan ..." The spherical ki suddenly shimmered with a new yellowish coating, which reacted with the blue orb it covered with small jolts of electricity.
"... ha!"
In much the same fashion as Uub, Goku threw his tensed arms forwards, tilting them to aim his own blast at Uub's. With a huge deafening clap, the Saiya-jin's harvested energy ripped forward. The two colossal beams approached each other, neither warrior prepared to back down. Goku and Uub mentally braced themselves as the blasts neared each other. In a few moments they would strike ...
The heads of the two kamehameha waves collided with all the ferocity that was expected. A resulting flash of white light caused the crowd to shield their eyes, and their ears from the thunderous clap. To anyone who dared brave the blinding sight, they saw the two columns of energy vainly pushing against each other, neither making any headway. However, even if one could look directly at the impact zone, it would've been impossible to distinguish the six small blasts of energy that sailed around the circumference of Uub's wave. Goku however, was fully aware of them. Seeing Uub's total concentration on his attack had made the Saiya-jin realise that a distraction such as the kamekakusan attack could help him turn the tide of the energy fight.
Within seconds the demi blasts were close to impact with their intended target. Uub's eyes widened as he saw the energy approach him. There wasn't a lot of time to move or come up with a plan. Forcing his mind into overdrive, the mohawked human's eyes frantically jumped from one beam to the other. Nothing was coming to his thoughts and there was no time left. With an aggravated growl, Uub tore his hands away from the base of his kamehameha wave and gave birth to his cyan aura once more. He flew towards the ground as the six energy beams followed his ki signature.
Goku felt the abrupt cut in the opposing energy's strength and waited patiently as his own attack burrowed through. It raced higher and higher into the sky, heading straight towards the preoccupied Uub. The tanned human moved his attention away from the homing blasts and swore as he barely dodged the kamehameha wave that went screaming by. Uub kept his composure together though, and located the Saiya-jin aggressor on the ground. With a smirk, he lowered his altitude and started straight for the stationary Goku. The black haired Saiya-jin fired a quick energy blast from his hand, but Uub easily batted it away. Just before Uub ran dead into Goku's chest, he stopped and blasted off into the sky in less than a second. With hardly any reaction time to speak of, Goku threw his forearms over his torso as his own attack backfired on him.
The explosion of the simultaneous sextuplets on his arms launched him backwards. Goku somehow found his footing, and examined the seared flesh on his forearms. It was burning lightly with translucent whisps of smoke floating upwards. Goku looked to the sky to see Uub rocketing down on him, hoping to take advantage of the situation Goku was in. The Saiya-jin saw little time to counter, and did the first thing that came to his mind. The familar pulsing of blood through his veins resonated in his ears as his black hair stood upwards and shimmered a brilliant blonde-gold. The white of his eyes clouded his irises for a moment, quickly parting to reveal the newly shaded aqua. His physique bulged outwards to accomodate the new Super Saiya-jin energies flowing through his body. The crowd gasped at the sudden transformation they had known of, and then applauded.
Uub had no time to do anything as his foot slammed into Goku's left shoulder. The Super Saiya-jin's body sunk slightly, but it was obvious that he did no real damage to him. Goku grabbed the stunned human's ankle and spun him around. Lifting Uub's body upwards, he guided him forcefully into the tournament tiles. Shaking the rubble from his spiky hair, Uub got back up and started a flurry of attacks on his powerful adversary. Goku dodged the moves with his heightened speed, feeling overconfident in his Super Saiya-jin abilities. Using the obvious self arrogance to his advantage, Uub was able to land a few powerful punches on Goku. In retaliation, the golden haired fighter drove his right foot into Uub's gut. Bending over from the shock of the kick Uub spat, recoiling from the hit. The Saiya-jin used his leg as a lever and lifted Uub in mid air, smirking as he held him in place with his telekinetic powers.
The Super Saiya-jin jumped to Uub's height and tucked his legs in, readjusting them so that as he extended them, his heels slammed hard into Uub's face. The resulting attack knocked Uub from Goku's mental hold and sent him skidding him across the arena floor. Hoping to knock the human from the ring, Goku charged a yellow energy ball in his palm and hurled it at Uub. The ball collided with the sliding human, sending up a smokescreen. Whether Uub was still in the ring or not was unclear, but as the cloud dissipated, Goku saw the human standing stronger than ever.
"Maybe it's time for me to step things up," Uub said to himself, igniting his cyan aura.

Uub?s cyan aura spiked and flared, flashing toward and emerald hue. He hunched over, bent at the knees as he continued to power up. His body bulked, and the tiles gave way underneath his feet. ?AHHHHHHHH?. Goku watched on with calm, his turquoise eye?s squinting in the flashing mix of emerald and cyan light. He noticed the change in the human?s power level, rising rapidly to ascended heights, coming close to match his own. The spiking mixed aura erupted, turning into a pure emerald green storm of unleashed power.
Uub flexed his fingers as he finished ascending ?Round 2?? he asked raising an eyebrow. Goku laughed, the majestic power of the super saiyan was nothing to take likely and Uub knew that from his fights with Bra. ?I knew you where strong, But Bra was modest with her words when referring to your skills.? The saiyan raised an eyebrow ?Bra?? Uub nodded spreading his feet apart ?we trained together for a while?? Goku nodded ?That would explain why you know a little about me..? he paused ?But you?ll find I have better control over my powers?.
The two launched forward, streaking after images behind them as they raced toward the center of the ring. The crowd roared as they clashed in a spectacle of golden and emerald light. Punches and kicks creating deafening eruptions as the sound caught up to their movements.
Phasing into sight Uub landed once more upon the crushed and broken ring, his feet spread out on uneven jagged tiles. He spat, the sweet coppery taste of blood passing his lips. ? Damn? the human muttered in frustration, his ascension might have made the power gap less, but that was not enough, he was facing someone with more experience, someone who could read his movements before he made them. Grunting Uub fell forward, skidding across the white surface of the tiles. Goku landed softly, his golden aura making the only noise in the arena; the constant pulsing sound echoed through out the human?s head.
He had to do something soon, the fight was slipping into the saiyans favor?and if he took any more hits like that he doubted he would be able to stand much longer. Getting up on all fours Uub glanced back over his shoulder, checking to see where Goku stood. * Good he?s standing there seeing if I can continue. * Sighing he stood, flaring his aura. ?It?s really a shame we had to meet under these circumstances Goku?? spreading his feet and cupping his hands Uub retracted his arms down by his side. ?CHOU!!!!!!!!? his aura engulfed his body, and his ki flowed from his body into the space created by his cupped hands. ?Ka?me?ha?me? * Time for my trump card *
Goku cursed under his breath, his last kamehameha wave was strong and now another one with even more power. ?I Hope this works? thrusting his arms forward Uub?s aura vanished, drawn in by the vortex of swirling unstable ki in the midst of his palms ?HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!?
ooc: sorry for the lack of quality in this post but I really had to squeeze this in, Goku just end this out for staff decision, I won?t be able to get on tomorrow to post due to my littlest bro?s first birthday.

Goku brought his thumb to one of his temples and massaged the other with his index and forefinger. He stared at nothing in particular on the ground, watching it slowly being consumed by the luminescent glow of the impending blast. The small broken fragments of the tiles wobbled from the mere presence of the approaching kamehameha wave. The Super Saiya-jin lifted his crown of golden spikes and locked his gaze into the very centre of the head of the suped up ki column. Uub's power was not to be underestimated by any means; it was on par with the Saiya-jin's own. However, the human seemed to fear a quick defeat. Such a powerful finishing attack showed the desparation of the mohawked warrior to bury his adversary into the dirt. Could Goku hope to successfully beat back such an attack?
The gale force winds generated by the chou kamehameha slammed into the Super Saiya-jin like a brick wall. Goku's rigid posture held steadfast against the cyclonic influence, almost but not quite buckling before it. The real test was the menacing streak of raw, destructive energy cutting through the air. Uub was giving it everything he had, and for Goku to even block his powerful attack he would need to muster the majority of his own strength. Goku sighed. The battle was about to end very soon.
Curling his fingers into the centre of his palms, Goku moved his arms to his sides and sharpened his eyes. Despite the distracting brightness of the energy beam and the constant waves of wind, he focused his mind. Exploding his golden aura to life, the Super Saiya-jin released the caged energies he had restrained within him and let them soar. Although the resulting outward force was great, it was hardly noticable beneath the commanding majesty of the oncoming blast. Goku opened his palms and threw his stiff arms out horizontally. The golden aura shrunk to coat the Super Saiya-jin's buff frame as he channelled his ascended energy inside him. Whips of light flickered from his outstretched fingertips, a testament to the accumulating power that would soon be unleashed.
Happy with the energy collected, and with little time to spare, Goku rotated his shoulders and slammed the base of his palms together. Bending his fingers, a baseball sized orb pulsed into existance and was quickly filled with the brimming energy Goku stored. The ball let off a blinding flash, enough to catch the eyes of the spectators, before he roared the technique's name.
"Final Flash!"
At almost the exact instant, a huge, undeniably powerful column of energy rocketed from his open palms. Uub bared his teeth as he felt the contesting energy blast on target with his own. This would determine the fate of the battle, and would leave no earthly remains of one, or perhaps both of them.

Uub groaned with frustration and fatuige. His last attack had simply taken too much of his own energy from him, his last ditch effort made incomplete. The final flash roared down from above, barreling through his own blast and colliding with his body. He was simply out of energy, he had nothing left to give. The bright yellow light enveloped his whole body, followed be a searing pain and then a strange calm. Goku floated back down to the ground, breathing heavily. His golden hair faded to black and flopped back down to it's original position.
The crowd was silent, not a sound could be heard other than Goku's breathing. The announcer struggled for words before he found the phrase that best suited the occasion. "AMAZING FOLKS!!! GOKU IS THE WINNER!!!"

The crowd silenced as a large form stepped onto the balcony. The steely gaze that was cast over the crowd was unequaled, and he sneered with an arrogance not of this world. "Little Saiyan, you shall receive your wish. Your opponent shall arrive... shortly..."

He could feel the energy coursing through his veins, priming for attack. Bardock was prepared to unleash a more serious assault on his opponent, the femme fatale Android 18. A moment like this was paramount in determining how effective the degree of such a manuever like this would be. It could almost be considered tactical, if the Saiyan even knew he was doing it. Upon reaching climax of the gathering, the old brawler prepared to fire, every muscle tensing up in anticipation. One more second and...she was gone. But not just her...everything! The humid forest was replaced by an elegantly crafted stadium. Hundreds and hundreds of stone tiers encircled the marvelous ampitheater, filled with thousands upon thousands of screaming fans, each one more diverse than the next. Their lungs cried for battle in this forsaken colosseum of blood, demanding a grandstand for their own selfish entertainment. Bardock found himself in the middle of a large ring that had obviously seen battle before. The tiles of mineral matter beneath his feet were cracked and crumbled in numerous areas, their remaining clay materials holding together in defiance of unnatural wear and tear.
The energy attack in his hand was withdrawn, the refined power becoming once again raw Ki to be redefined in any so chosen form.
Damn. Just when it was getting good, he laughed to himself, a little disappointed at the intervention.
The Saiya-jin let his dark eyes gaze upon the roaring crowd, letting the true nature of his transportation sink in. He had been fighting Android 18. Now he was to fight in this Main Arena against another randomly selected aspirant. The members of the Synex corporation demanded it. To him, this was an honor waiting to be embraced.
Surprisingly, he found something clenched in his other hand. Strange, he didn't remember grabbing it. Opening his sunsoaked palm revealed a small bean of seeming insignificance. Bardock was no fool. It was a Senzu, one which he immediately consumed. No other feeling of near-rebirth could ever be felt as when that crunchy edible seed was devoured. Every fiber of muscle in his body expanded and contracted as his power was fully restored, the invigorating life essence overwhelming his fatigued body with indescribable ecstasy. All debility was forgotten, the exhaustion of his physical output a momentary whisper of his recent past. What was left was to identify who he would be fighting. It couldn't have been any worse than his last disputant.
He looked straight ahead and saw nothing but the crowd in front of him. Was this a joke? There was no one there. It took Bardock a couple of moments to scan the entire surface of his new playground. He then discovered his opponent, not ten feet away from him. A young adolescent girl with dishevelled black hair stood boldly in his path. She wore a bandana tied tightly around her eyes, obscuring her face from recognition. Yet somehow, Bardock felt like he knew her. If only he could see her face...he could tell...the thought was brief, and his attention was refocused on the bandana. It occurred to him that the child was blind. Had he been cheated of an honorable death to fight this young wisp of a girl, who was penalized by a distinct disadvantage? The aged Saiyan did not know if he could ever cleanly win a fight like this. It was not so much his conscious that nagged at Bardock, but more his sense of honor. He was conflicted. The Saiyan in him told him that the strong must survive, and those too weak to defend themselves must perish, but whatever morality he had acquired whilst living in the realm of the dead told him that perhaps he should choose an alternate path. He shook his head. This dissension would be resolved at the end of the fight. Bardock could not afford to let himself be distracted from the beginning. The seasoned warrior let the cries of the crowd drown out his mental altercations.
This fight was destined to commence...two had come, and only one would walk away.
OOC: Meh. Long. Your move, Pan.

Just as quickly as Bardock had permitted the sounds of glory to be received by his ears, he shut them out once again. A simple filtering of the reception his basic five senses allocated was an elementary focusing technique, allowing him complete and total control of his fixations without distraction. The crowd wanted nothing more than pure, unadulterated carnage, and their incessant squawking would not aid him. He knew that if he fell prey to their pressure, it would coerce him to make foolish mistakes, and a man of his limited intelligence could not afford such aberrations.
The young girl was ready, so now it was his turn. She had elected a plain fighting stance, one that permitted her with an effective defense and easy maneuverability, granting both offensive and defensive capability. The beauty of paradoxical simplistic complexities was lost on the older Saiyan. He tilted his head from side to side, angling his chin. The joints in his neck loosened and emitted their trademark cracking sound. Before him, the girl twitched slightly. Sight was lost upon her, so sound was her reliance. By simply hearing what was around her, she could discern the placement of objects?namely, Bardock.
The elder had relaxed his body, and now he must call upon the power that lay dormant within him once again. Deep within the belly of the beast, the central core of his energy was aroused by the will of its master. Flames of deep red were enkindled all around him, swirling upwards in a fiery torrent of pure Ki. Fine black spikes of hair swayed and twisted in perfect harmony with the forces that nudged them to the skies. It was time to let go. His head snapped back and a deep rumble flowed from low in his throat, filling the air around him with its primal pitch. Well-defined veins tunneled along the surface of his skin, the compulsion of the body they served. Every tendon tightened, the sinew that stitched the brawn constricting in preparation for battle, appealing to the hardness of his aesthetic image. Bardock immersed himself in his darker side, allowing the pure Saiya-jin essence to take over. His face showed pure concentration, but within he was wickedly grinning. The ring beneath his feet began to give way to his manufacturing. Cracks snaked out from beneath his boots, sounding off their resentment to the threat of their livelihood. Small, imperfect chunks of the stuff began to rise. A mighty gale of unnatural wind emanated from Bardock?s body, striking the blind child that stood unfalteringly in his wake. She remained poised and unwavering, the clothes that garbed her body flapping rapidly. Bardock?s scream slowly died down, his gaping jaw closing as his chin became level with his chest again. The clattering staccato of stones could be heard as they were released from their reversed gravitational pull. Tendrils of steaming white energy were discharged from the Saiya-jin?s figure, a byproduct of the sudden and forced release of his true power. Yes, he had unleashed his maximum. Bardock could see that nothing would be gained by gamesmanship here. What was the point of holding back?
Had his opponent been able to see, she would have gazed upon a Saiyan standing in full fluorescence, his tail twitching in anticipation. There was nothing left to do but to fight now. Beyond the stage, the audience was growing impatient. The light show had not abated their thirsts.
Patiently, a boot came forward slightly and clapped down on the tiles. Another stepped past the first and came down again, faster and farther this time. Yet another followed, again at an increased rate. Before long, the pace accelerated to a run as Bardock charged his younger foe, the dancing spikes of energy in his aura trailing behind him. In the darkness of her perception, the youth was fully aware of his approach. She probed her immediate surroundings, both sound and sense combined to create a rather remarkable radar. The resonance of his steps was augmented to the blind. She knew exactly where he was: right in front of her. Next was being able to ?see? his first move. A thing subtle to most people was the most minute of air currents. It became an ally of the juvenile. A slight, almost negligible rush of wind brushed against her skin. The noise of two steps was gone, but the sweeping sound of a single shoe sole against stone remained. Each different symptom was critical in determining the attack. Both conjoined?to form the precursor to a kick! She raised a forearm to block. The very next thing she felt was pressure against that limb, followed by an audible gasp.
WHAT?!
Bardock was stunned! Back in the world of the seeing, his leg was extended, balked by this girl?s block. The sight was almost whimsical, and sent the congregation into fits of hysterics. Clearly this girl was so in tune with subtle forces that she didn?t need to see to fight, an underestimation, which redefined his predetermination. His brows furrowed in conviction. The blindness was not a weakness. In fact, it may even be construed as an asset.
The Saiya-jin male backed off. His mind raced trying to decide whether to find a way to manipulate this factor or try and brawn his way to a win. Pending didn?t take too long. His tendencies slanted to the brutish style. He leaned in forward for an uppercut. The signs were nearly the same: the rush of air, the concentration of a moving body of Ki. The young one lowered her hands and met with the attack before it hit its destined target. Ten tiny fingers were what were required to stop one of his meaty claws. Bardock instantly utilized his speed for the second phase of his assailment. He caught her a tough one across the face. She was flung to the side, but ricocheted with a spring in her step. A close range fight proved a disadvantage, as he had longer arms and legs. Size, to some degree, did matter. Bardock stared at her. It hit him like lightning. Where he had seen her before. But he had to make sure. He let her lead the next dance. The girl came barreling in. Clouds of granulated tile squalled around her, kicking up as she blasted off. A bolt of energy came blasting. Bardock smacked the ill-fated attack away with ease, and caught her follow-up punch easily, his hand overwhelming her own. His feet slid back centimeters by the force of her impending momentum. Tucking her knees in, she manipulated her inertia by bowing her body and bringing her legs out underneath Bardock?s arm. He was too slow, and was pike-kicked in the gut. His thick fingers released their hold as he stumbled back, the wind knocked out of him. She was distinctly on top of the fight, but he planned to change it. As soon as he got his breath back, that is?
Pushing off his well-muscled abs, the adolescent gracefully flipped backwards, her feet landing almost silently onto the ring floor. Immediately resumed was her defensive stance, but it didn?t hold for long. Almost as if she were a descendent of the Saiya-jin race, she was not satisfied with a recess.
?MASENKO-HA!? came the cry.
The giant specialty bore down on the flustered Bardock. He could do nothing but put his hands up to stop it. His left leg faltered back, with his right knee lunged forward. The power to halt it lay in his lower body. The Masenko sizzled and crackled with dark intentions, a sharp whistling sound preceding its inevitable approach. White and blue clashed with tan as the hot energy hit. A shockwave was sent along his arms as the force of the attack was felt. Boot scraping against stone was perceived by the younger warrior, and she knew he was being pressured backwards. Then she heard a chuckle.
?You have to give me more credit than that, kid,? her opponent laughed. That voice?
Scraping became slapping. He was running, running towards her with her own attack. It had not overwhelmed him, merely provided him a means of his own little assault. Bardock let out a grunt and executed a stylish spinning back kick, launching the giant sphere in the alternate direction it had been intended. The girl flinched before jumping into the air, her own blast missing her narrowly. So startled was she that she did not feel the currents around her change. Bardock appeared behind her in the air. Beyond them, the rogue Masenko blasted a large portion of the audience. An aftermath wave of wind was generated in the fighters? direction, ruffling their identical black hair. Up close, their facial structure was so much alike?
?It?s been awhile?Pan?? Bardock smiled.
OOC: Nothin? like a good ol? family reunion.

Bardock couldn?t help but smirk, although the gesture was useless to Pan. She had an impressive command of evasive maneuverability, which was an aptitude he hadn?t expected, an underestimation that would have proven costly in a slanted fight. It was this resourcefulness that made her a difficult target. Nevertheless, Bardock was impressed. She had grown up. She had done the family proud. Unfortunately, she was still just another opponent to be broken, making it a bittersweet battle. Pan was ready and willing for the next bout. Despite his resolve, Bardock hadn?t excelled past the warm-up round. At full strength, he was still playing around, but so was she.
?I can?t hold back anymore,? the taller man conceded.
?Then bring it,? Pan answered zealously.
Bardock reanimated his aura in a flashy conflagration. As only a Saiyan could, he let loose a feral howl, and with every bit of force he could muster, charged his great granddaughter, crimson ambience trailing behind him like the tail of a colossal comet. The youth got her wish: her grandpa had dropped his constraints and let forth the battle wrath bestowed upon him by the primordial instinct of his ancestry. He cocked his arm back and blasted it forward with the force of a cannon, aimed straight for her stomach. The sheer velocity of approach was impossible to prepare for, although she tried. Pan lowered her arm, but the five furious knuckles perforated the protection. The limb was smashed up against her abdominal area, causing afflictions to both constituents. Pan flew backwards, reflexively cradling her upper left protrusion. Bardock did not stop there. Not even close. Upon impact of the blow, he immediately shot upwards in an arch. When the child skidded on the tile, the man was bearing down on her. His form whistled as it broke the sound barrier, a powerful knee extended. Pan rolled to the side, sensing the advance, but not quick enough. Bardock?s knee struck a crushing thrust to her ribs, pinning one half of her body down. She could hear two cracks in succession, but it was not the sound that concerned her, as she was preoccupied with the sudden advent of ache that now pervaded her flesh. The girl?s cries of pain did not penetrate the older Saiya-jin?s hearing. Adding even more pressure, the old gladiator bounced off her body and onto his feet, instantly reaching down to grab her limp form. Pan?s mass was nothing to him. With increasing acceleration, the patriarch flung her over his shoulder and slammed her back down onto the arena floor with a sickening crunch. Her crumpled structure was further abused by being viciously kicked to the other side of the stage via aerial route. Deep within her mind, she knew she had to retaliate. She was far more capable to defend herself than this. A poorly aimed energy blast was hurtled towards Bardock, a feeble attempt during her short sojourn to keep him off her long enough to devise an offensive strategy. He advanced towards her destination, unflinching. The blast caught the side of his face, slicing a deep wound on the cheek opposite his old battle scar. Blood percolated from the gash, streaming down the side of his face and dripping onto the surface below. He didn?t even notice. So immersed was he in the savagery of his mind that he was in a strange catatonic state. Blood wrath boiled within his dark eyes. Bardock had let himself venture too far into his primal state.
Pan bounced unceremoniously to a stop. He was coming?coming for her. She heard an even, paced gait. Quick thinking allotted her a momentary strategy. From a seated position, she raised two fingers. An audible hum resonated in the air, the decibels elevating at a rate of seconds. Pillars of bright blue energy rose from the ground in forbidding columns, amassing to impressive size. Bardock was caught in the onslaught of the Shockwave attack, his silhouette becoming obscured by the dome of light that encircled him. Pan stumbled to her feet, weight unevenly distributed to support her injured ribs. Whether consciously or not, her grandfather had marred her intrinsic mobility. The ability to circumvent this detriment was yet to be determined, however. She looked on blindly as her attack slowly faded away, revealing a battered Bardock. Energy burns covered his body, but they were minor in degree. The attack itself had been crudely constructed. Pan had not had enough time to perfect the fine points before launching it. Her own anger was slowly mounting. Two Saiyans at the pinnacle of rage made for an interesting clash. A brilliant fluorescence of blue surrounded her body, cerulean spikes dancing madly in a display of pure vengeance. Pan?s figure levitated and launched towards her foe. Bardock readied himself. He was sorely disappointed. At the very last possible second, the adolescent gracefully flipped right over his head, turning around and slamming her elbow into his lower back as hard as she possibly could. His back arched; his feet stumbled to stay standing. Curving tightly around, Pan landed a spinning kick to his ribs, exacting her revenge. Bardock flinched, but recovered quickly enough to grab her ankle. He swung her around in an attempt to throw her down again. As she descended to the ground, Pan instinctively thrust forth a hand. Her reflexive efforts were rewarded with a solid hold. Combining her own strength with Bardock?s momentum, she pulled her captured leg forward and flung him over her. It was an interesting sight to see. The older Saiyan slammed down on his back, with Pan bearing down with a drop heel kick. He flipped forward, and the girl?s heel cratered into the clay. She landed uncomfortably on her sensitive side, and Bardock didn?t waste a moment. He was already turned around and raring to get the next shot in. Pan utilized her hearing and knew he was coming for her. She slid to her feet and dodged a kick aimed for her head. The elder fighter didn?t have to reach very high to strike a vital spot. With an almost uncanny direction, Pan flung her fist in Bardock?s face. She hid him dead on, the blood from his cheek wound smearing all over her fingers. He hit hard on the floor, and Pan blasted him with a dose of energy. The compact Ki exploded upon infliction, causing a screen of smoke. Such a convenient concealment was all Bardock needed to Zanzoken away without detection. The byproduct of the blast interfered with her ability to sense his movement through the subtle air currents. Pan had gone in for a second assault, but sliced through emptiness. Indeed, her grandfather was not there, but behind her. She was unaware of his coming. His left hand reached under her head and gripped her chin, while the right latched onto the other side of her skull. Pan panicked. She was familiar with this hold. One second and it would be over. Her hands impulsively grabbed his arms, wrestling to get them off, but Bardock?s hold was firm. She gritted her teeth. This was the end.
But the end never came. In fact, she was puzzled with his hands started shaking. Something deep inside the Saiyan had overridden his battle prowess.
He can?t do it, she realized.
?Surrender, it?s over!? Bardock fumbled hastily.
With an amazing feat of strength, she threw the larger warrior over her shoulder, his superiority gone. A moment of weakness had lost an opportunity.
?Don?t hold back!? Pan grunted, slamming her heel into his chest.
Bardock gasped in pain, then grabbed her ankle again, throwing her off balance and causing her to fall. He jumped to his feet, as did she. With quick flare, Bardock ignited his Explosive Fists. The warmth generated could be felt by her sensitive intuition, but the flames themselves could not be seen.
?Last round. I?d rather not kill you if I don?t have to,? Bardock said, his face hardening. The moment was behind him. He wouldn?t make the same mistake twice, he would end it if given the opportunity again. The black-haired brawler preferred she didn?t force an unnecessary one. But then again, she might just as easily be the one to decide who walked away and who didn?t. Everything was so muddled when it once was so clear. One thing was for certain: Bardock would battle on.
OOC: Sloppy, late, bleh. End it Pan.

The two Saiya-Jin battled fiercely to become the winner of this fight. Even though she was at a disadvantage Pan still fought as well as ever. The older warrior found that she was a handful; it was no surprise that she was Goku?s granddaughter. The fight had gone on for a long time, though, and they were both feeling weariness come over them. They fought with ruthless courage and might, which only Saiya-Jin could muster. Yet, only one of them would make it out of this fight as a winner, and one would die?or surrender. Pan knew she had to strike now, and end the fight in her favor. She moved gracefully like any trained warrior should. Her body hit the air in a series of flips that almost dazzled the elder fighter. To his surprise, though, she unleashed an awing attack upon him. Her arms shot out as she descended upon him and she shouted out the words of her attack. The ki burned forward like a heat wave and Bardock held up his hands in the only defense he could use at that moment.
A plume of smoke hit the air and Pan sailed toward the ground. She felt the impact shake her very bones, and she wearily felt like lying down on the cool arena floor. The sound of feet against sand and grit was not pleasing to her ears. She glanced toward the dissipating smoke with her mouth ajar. There stood Bardock, a slight smirk plastered upon his face. His hair and arms were singed painfully, but he was not ready to be defeated. The young Saiya-Jin hastily got to her feet to defend his next attack, but they both knew the fight had gone on long enough. He rushed in toward her smaller frame and they battled one last time. He had suxh little energy left himself, but he had to go for the gold. In a brilliance of light his fists flamed with ki and energy as he ignited his Explosive Fists attack. The drain upon his energy was horrible, but he would not lose. He cocked back his arm as Pan fought to try and stop him in any way possible. He was blinded by the win, and the kill. His fist shot forward with extreme force and exploded upon impact. Blood splattered upon himself, both his and her blood. His fist bled because he had used his remaining energy and it had had devastating affects. Pan stumbled backwards, her nose bled and her face grew numb from worse injuries.
?Let me put you out of your misery?child.? Bardock?s body twitched as he held his other hand forward. He pushed forth the very last ounce of his ki and fired an orb of light toward his granddaughter. The ki hit her chest and caused her tormented body backward and she fell to the soil below. The impact had finally caused her body to give up, and she slowly bled to death as the crowd around them roared their ecstasy. Bardock fell to one knee as medics rushed in. The fight was over.
OOC:
Bardock +1 point for never giving up, and 5,000 Zeni. Your fist is damaged, it?ll fix in time.
Pan, I liked your RPing and so I?d like to give you 2,500 for your great effort.
DA08 Winner. "Screw them, this was her show now."
