Of the Flood and Metroids

Damn. I, personally, get scared by weird things. When I cook macaroni and all the noodles face up, that freaks the shit out of me. Dunno why, but it does. Honeycombs freak the shit out of me, and not because of bees.

And, so do jellyfish. Which brings me to this next part of my post. The Flood (from Halo) and Metroids (from...Metroid).

Goddamn! Why do they have to make something so freakishly scary that I can't sit down and play the game anymore? I had to actually force myself to finish Metroid Prime. Beautiful game, but the Metroids freaked me out. Whenever one latched onto me, I just shut the game off to spare me of the freakiness.

The Flood are even worse. I can put up with the big zombie things, but when one of those little bitty Flood guys starts hopping at me, I practically piss myself. And those big hulking bloated Flood things that drop like a thousand Flood when you kill them? Damn.

Is it just me, or are Metroids and the little Flood genuinely scary? I can't tell if I'm just a little out of it, or what.

I never really found either of the two that scary really, but I guess I could see where you are coming from.

Myself, I thought that the metroids were really not that scary, unless you count those hunter metroids. Those did freak the shit outta me.

Flood, yeah... those are a little creepy. Especially on that last level where you're fighting in the dark, and then one pops out and you're like "OMFG AAAAAAH!" and just start shooting randomly.

So yeah, I really don't know why macaroni or honeycomb cereal scares you (I love macaroni and honeycomb. They're good ). But, you are sorta right about the flood being scary, and metroids sometimes.

Anyway, yeah, I knew about killing the flood and all. Shotgun is the absolute best weapon against the big 'uns, while the frag grenade is the absolute best weapon against the little 'uns.

But scared of Pikachu? That's pretty bad.

Meh, I don't really get into games much anymore. I love playing video games still, but I'm not near as obsessed with them as I used to be. So, I don't think it's that.
