Anyone have a good memory of early 90's tv?

I'm trying to remember the name of a tv show that ran (I think) on Disney and then again in Fox Family, when the channel first started, before ABC took it over.

Remember the old Donkey Kong CGI tv show? There was a show that I believe ran right after it on Fox Fam. I don't remember much about it, but here's what I remember...

It was very similar to stargate, in which there was a circular portal that would open up to another "dimension." However, the portal would open to the same world, it was a medieval looking world and the portal was powered by this weird crystal, and if you didn't have the crystal, no portal for you.

So... yeah, anyone remember this show? I'd love to hear the name and continue my search for dvd's/online info. Thanks in advance.

P.S. - This search has gone on for like... 3 years, and still no luck, so don't feel bad if you can't help.

I don't know about that specific show, but I do indeed remember the Donkey Kong CGI series. That was about the time DK64 came out for N64. Kinda sucked.

Oh, Fox Fam wasn't the first incarnation. Before that was just "The Family Channel".

I'd need more details on the show to which you are referring though.

yeah, I remember the family channel because it had the dog game show on it. haha, that was a good one.

I'm trying to think of what else I can say about that show...

I think the kids all went to a camp in the "present time" and that's how they came across the "portal". I remember one episode in which one of the medieval time characters found an aerosol can and didn't know what it was, so he threw it in an open fire and BOOM.

Uh... I'm not sure what else I could say.


I just got reminded of another show I want the name of though. It ran on Sci-Fi a few years back in reruns, don't know when it originally aired. It's pretty much another form of the show "TimeCop" but in this one it was a single guy who went back in time, and he caught people by shooting them with a laser that came out of a car alarm button shaped phaser device. One shot was red, the other was green, and I think they had different functions. (Maybe stunning and sending them back to the appropriate time). I think he also had a super-advanced car, but I could just be thinking of nightrider.

Yea, I remember that Donkey Kong show, too, surprisingly.

Was it like a large group of kids? Or just like two or three? This one show where these kids built a time machine that brought people to their time is all that I'm coming up with, but that doesn't seem like the show your talking about. =/
