31. Hellfighter 17 - Leader

Hellfighter 17 has the map, and the objective, which is to find the clue inside the mysterious unexplored caves under the Kala Mountains. Head towards it, and enter it. Don't try to rush things, move at your own pace.

Remember, you can do things as you wish. You don't have to stick with the same leader, or even the same group.

As things happen, I will roleplay with the heading 'EVENT' to progress things. Events can be good...or horrible.

You have until Thursday Afternoon USA Central Time. The maximum times you can rp this round is 3.

The android looked around in slight confusion as questions were being asked and answered around him. He had no idea of what exactly was going on, but still took the effort to listen to his ?host.? ?Just trust me,? the green monstrosity of an executive spoke out, ?you will,? in retort to the long-haired saiya-jin's questionnaire. Seventeen did not know what to make of the situation, but after people started rustling about, he checked his pockets; they were piercing his skin for some reason. Apparently the hell fighter was correct when he pulled out a rolled up piece of paper that had a sticky attached to it.

The smaller piece of paper held eight names on it, and by one of the names, his, was the word ?Leader.? ?Huh. Leader.? Also was something along the lines of a goal that Brim had explained, but the android would keep that with himself for now. The android was still quite apathetic after his departure from the female. He didn?t understand, but he still held hope for seeing her again and finding out what had happened, but melancholy was still a powerful force.

The other article of paper was bigger, but slightly distorted after being rolled up in his pocket. The curves that had formed, however, did not make the map hard to differentiate. As indicated in his sticky note, there were mountains, quite an amount away, which the collective group had to find. The android decided that he would rally his ?group? up before dispersing for his group. First, though, he decided to find a very familiar name that appeared on his list.

?Uub,? the android cried as he approached the tanned fighter. A faint smile appeared on his visage; the best that he could muster under recent emotional happenings. ?Well, whatever is to happen, it appears that you are in my group.? The human had not said anything so far, but rather decided to let his comrade continue, ?So, let?s find a way to get off of this rock, heh?"

Zarbon had been somewhat surprised to come all the way from Hell to here, but once he found out what he was here for, he became very excited, and somewhat annoyed. He was excited because this was another test of the transformer?s skills, but was annoyed that this was interrupting his quest to power. ?The ?game host? could have at least asked before bringing me here.? The mutant muttered, ?How very rude.? Zarbon kept on grumbling for awhile, until he found that everyone was dividing into their groups! He jumped and looked from side to side looking for his team, and trying to remember if the green man Brim had given him a number or not, panicing a bit in his confusion.

?Why didn?t I pay attention?!? Zarbon gritted his teeth at his very own stupidity, and began to look for his group. The transformer trotted by many groups, looking over their shoulders to see if they were his, closely examining the lists the leaders held. He found nothing but strange names: not even close to his. They didn?t even start with ?Z.? The mutant murmured a few curses every time he found that one team or another wasn?t his. After going the first three groups, Zarbon narrowed it all down to the last one, that distinct team holding Hell Fighter 17: The transformer knew him all too well.

Zarbon and the android had been in a race held by Mayor Crusty, a crazy man whose constant misspellings had made people laugh hysterically, no matter what member of the family they were. The two had tied at the end of it, leaving Yemma no choice but to bring out the tie breaker: a fight. They fought wildly, Zarbon himself having to make a few moves ?below the belt.? In the end, Zarbon one after ripping the arena to shreds in from the sheer force of it all. Zarbon thought the android was sort of cute during the race, and still thought him oddly attractive, but that didn?t stop his ego from showing. The transformer smiled at the thought of the battle: he couldn?t wait to rub it in his face once again. He put on a smirk and walked over to the android, putting his arm around him when he arrived.

?Nice to see you again, big boy.? The mutant said softly, watching the android leap forward in shock. ?Looks like I?m with you. Still have scars by how much I kicked your ass?? Upon seeing it was Zarbon, and hearing the remark, 17 rolled his eyes at the transformer, turning back to his conversation with a person which Zarbon just noticed near him: a tanned human with a large amount of strength.

?Interesting. Looks like we have strong fighters?? He thought upon looking over the new warrior, and soon becoming bored with him and the talk he was having with the android. The mutant looked around for the other people in his group. He saw a few people apart from the other teams. One was someone he recognized from long ago, which brought back old memories from the Dante?s Abyss. A man stood there, meeting with people he knew, he looked like an intellectual person with his thick white mustache and old worn face.

Tapion was familiar with the game, he was here once before. His eyes scanned along the figures that participated in this game. So it seemed Brim was back and his crazed TV show was back on air, well that's just great. At first, the young konat wanted to fight and win this game, like what was supposed to happen in the first one, but now he had to use them to reach the great distance of which to win.

Those dark holes where his pupils were stared in bewilderness. What was his brother? There were thirty-two people here including himself, but never did his eyes find the shape of his younger brother. He missed him so and hoped that once he returned to Earth, he would be able to be with his konat-jin sibling and his lover. The lean, mohawked warrior noticed many people he had seen only recently. He saw Burter with his son, he saw Bra and Uub, and also the one man named Yamu he saw before he left Arlia. Then his eyes laid rest upon one of the strongest people he had ever seen.

He first saw him at the end of the war on Earth when he fought the evil Kooriza. He did not know his name, he just saw the characteristics of the tall, muscular body. He was a saiyan, that was for sure, and his hair was as tall as he was at least. If anything, that warrior would be the hardest challange. He almost feared the worst as he did not have his brother to fuse with, but the people were oblivious to the fact that he still had a dragonball, which was fine with him.

After that was one of the people he had teamed with in the earlier Friend or Foe, Furiza. The konat knew he was strong, another good competitor. Then there was one last person he knew, but it had seemed like ages since he'd seen him. The android walked up to his other friend, Uub, and had said a few things. The bronzed warrior made no reply and a smiling konat-jin walked up and placed a hand on Hell Fighter 17's shoulder.

"It's been awhile, Seventeen."

The machine turned towards him, finally realizing who it was, he smiled as best as he could, ang the two clasped hands. Once they let go, the two mohawked warriors gave a nod to each other, looking each other in the eyes. Finally, the pale skinned warrior put out a hand, Uub accepted and shook it. Tapion only wished them to be friends.

"So what group are you guys in?" Asked the curious konat.

"Well, there's an interesting thing to that. I am the leader of the group, and on the list I have who are in my group, you and Uub are both in my group." The android spoke with kindness.

"That's great!" Tapion was cheerful, Uub didn't say much still. "Well, let's find the rest of our group."

The hellfighting android agreed, Uub seemed to be okay with the idea so far. They had to ge tthe clue, sooner more than later.

But there was still loneliness in his heart as he knew that his younger brother was far away. He wanted him here, but he had all his friends here to keep him company. Maybe this time he would get further than last time where he was killed by a young kid and his brother. And they were here. Goten and Gohan. The dark eyes just gazed at them briefly, they were with their father who Tapion had never met but they were looking for him before he was killed by the youngest of the two brothers, Goten. There was so many memories...

One second the two super powers were ready to duke it out, each had elevated their powers to the max, and that?s when everything changed. Now Uub stood with his arms crossed across his chest, finding that he was now apart of an event called Friend or Foe II much to his dismay. Where was Rejin? Where was the other Saiyan warrior with the smart mouth? He sighed as Hellfighter and Tapion turned away from him to mingle with others in their group.

?17 acting as my leader..? he almost laughed at the reality of it, knowing that he himself was the fighters superior officer in Pitch Black, but for the time being he would carry on with the escapade, until something better came to light. The intense fire that had burned with in him during his battle with Rejin still burned like an inferno. ?I know he?s here too, I can feel it.? he grabbed the pouch at his waist and squeezed it with his gloved hand. ?I can feel it!? he closed his eyes letting his newly accelerated brain take in everything that had happened to him in the last forty eight hours.

He had been on Arlia training to improve his abilities, had almost met death for a second time and experienced a mutation in his body, something that he could still not explain. He had gone to Earth at a whim to find those responsible for his creation, to find answers, and to make them all pay dearly for their crimes against him. That?s when he had run into the group of warriors led by those two Saiyan warriors. And now this, he remembered the stories told to him by Burter and Bra of the first Friend or Foe, about the ruthless Brim and his insane tactics to get the highest ratings possible.

His eyes reopened and he glanced around at the rest of the forming group before his eyes, all surrounded 17 as he unrolled the map. ?Well surly this time it can?t be much more different then before.? he walked towards his group, the poor bastard?s that he was stuck with in this hell hole. ?So where are we off to first 17?? he asked deciding to change their subject from simple banter to business. The android scratched his head as he analyzed the regions of the map.

?If I?m not mistaken we are closest to the area called the Kala Mountains.? Uub nodded and walked up to get a closer look at the map. ?If I remember Brim?s statement correctly our objectives are to..? he stopped talking and his eye?s began to fluttered.

"Your groups will all have a similar goal. Find a particular clue that will aid you in finding out what brought out the problems of the Kala Civil War, and unlocking the many mysteries of this asteroid."

17 looked at Uub with raised eyebrows as his sensors scanned the Human for any signs of interior change. ?You ok Uub? You spoke like I would have if I was reciting a playback file..? he watched closely as his companions eyes stopped fluttering.

?I?m fine 17..? Uub coughed as he pointed his finger at the map. ?This section of mountains here looks like a decent place to start our search for caves.? he was desperate to change the subject, he did not want to go into detail of what had happened to him since the androids death.

Tapion shrugged ?Seems like an idea to me? he said as he looked back and forth between the interaction of Uub and 17, both warriors were impressive strategist, Uub had proven this several times back when he was an acting commander in the Resistence on Earth, 17 was an android with the capacity to run several simulations at once and come up with the best possible solution.

?I agree.? 17 said raising his voice so that the entire group could hear him. ?Alright, we have time for pleasantries later, now is the time to try and find this mountain range.? He looked over at Uub who nodded ?If we can find them, I believe it is the best chance we have to find a few caverns, there we will surly be able to find something pertaining to the civil war that took place here.? he recited hovering into the air, ready to depart and begin the search.

If he was going to be part of this group, he would play the part, after all this was what he was here for, Brim wanted ratings and Uub was going to give them, one way or another.

Gero was quite confused now. Just a short time ago, he had been dead, alone, and preparing to focus his mind in the depths of the Dojo of Light. Now, he was alive, among friends and others, and about to participate in a reality TV game show. It had all happened awfully fast for the android. He seemed to have been magically teleported to a museum-like chamber, where three other figures also appeared in. One of them Gero instantly recognized as his bald friend, Krillin, who pointed out to the android that he was now alive. And then, a scarred teal figure appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and shot all four of them, easily rendering them unconcious.

When Gero awoke once again, he soon realized that there were even more people standing around now, and instead of the museum-like structure, they were in what appeared to be a cabin. It didn't take long for Gero to guess what this was all about. His ever-expanding mind could already determine that, based on the incredible echoes of energy and life he felt all around himself. All of these people were powerful fighters, and that meant one thing. It was going to have something to do with them fighting for their lives for the amusement of others. And when the proprietor of this event, Brim, began speaking, Gero's thoughts were confirmed. While quite different from Dante's Abyss, it bore some striking similarities. They were, as usual, fighting for the amusement of others, considering it was supposedly a reality TV show. And not only that, but Gero soon noticed one of those damned collars fitted around his neck. He had enough memories with these things, considering he had to endure having his body imploded when it malfunctioned. He really did not wish to relive that experience.

But Gero also thought it strange that in this event, they would be working together, and not against one another. Not the typical stereotype for this kind of event. That made the scientist begin to wonder what the true purpose behind this event really was. While it was possible that Brim truely was holding this event for the money it would most certainly bring him if the story he fed them all was true. And then, there was the fact that this was called "Friend or Foe II." The android theorized that Brim had probably held the original Friend or Foe as well, and that left more doors open for what his true motives were.

Nonetheless, Gero knew he could not attempt to delve deeper into the true purpose of this event, and what their fates were to be, yet. The annoying feeling of the collar on his neck reminded him of this. While Brim may have said he would only use it to kill them if they did nothing, Gero knew that if they tried anything, Brim would probably not hesitate to obliterate each of them.

But the android could no longer simply stand around and think, as he noticed that they were breaking up into separate groups, with the task of finding "clues" that explain how Kala's Civil War was brought about.

The wizened machine began to mill about, looking for the group he was supposed to be a part of. There was quite a large number of participants in this event, Gero realized, as he tried to find his own name. But eventually, he discovered which group he was to be a part of.

The black-haired leader of his group looked to be in his teens, and was probably human. However, when Gero attempted to sense the echoes of power coming from him, he was astonished to feel nothing at all, except for a few barely noticable oscillations of energy resonating from him. The leader was an android.

"20?"

Gero turned around upon hearing his cybernetic name called, and nearly fell over backwards when he saw who it was. A teal man with long green hair tied into a ponytail was waving towards him. The memories came rushing back in a flood, as the android distinctly remembered this person from Dante's Abyss. A person he had seen die right before his eyes.

"Zarbon?" Gero also asked in response.

The two approached each other, and soon realized that the person they were talking to was actually who they thought it was.

"It's been quite some time. I don't believe I've seen you since..." Gero trailed off, thinking it wouldn't be very tactful to mention Zarbon's death already. "Well, it's been quite a while."

"Sure has. What've you been doing this whole time?" Zarbon responded.

"Not too much. Died once, came back to find Earth frozen over, fled to Namek, went to Mercy-sei with Tottepo to look for the dragonballs, failed, returned to Earth, and blew myself up in vain. You?" Gero said, trying to act nonchalant about it.

Zarbon gaped at the wizened android for a moment, and then decided to play along with Gero's little game.

"Me either. Got sent to hell, fought my way to the Shadow Mountains, battled against fear itself, and destroyed a stone giant. Same old, same old." Zarbon said equally as nonchalant as the android.

Just as the mechanoid was about to speak again, he heard the voice of another calling out to him.

"Hey old geezer!"

Grimacing at being called an "old geezer," Gero was about to teach the young whippersnapper a lesson or two, when he was blinded by a dazzling light. Rubbing his eyes, he soon realized that it that it was light being reflected off of someone's bald noggin. It was Krillin.

"We're in the same group! How about that?" Krillin announced to Gero, and then noticed Zarbon standing nearby. "Who's that guy?"

"Oh, right. I don't believe you two have met. Krillin, meet Zarbon, Zarbon, this is Krillin." Gero quickly answered, introducing the two of them.

As Krillin and Zarbon shook hands, Doctor Gero turned around and glanced at their group leader. When was this guy going to lead them to wherever they were supposed to go? It wasn't wise to go against Brim's rules this early on, they knew too little about how this competition functioned yet. However, if the group didn't start moving out soon, Gero would start investigating Kala himself, whether it be for the "clue" they were searching for, or to determine the true nature of this "Friend or Foe."

Seventeen had been shaking hands for quite some time now, and nodding to those he already knew that were in their own respective groups, and basically was at the mercy of the crowd. His apathy towards the situation?life, overall?was the only think keeping him sane at the moment. ?Okay, people,? he raised his voice, forcefully drumming out every syllable, ?we need to get going already; we don't want to lose this early, now do we?? His motivational speaking, which came out to his surprise, received nods of agreement from the crowd. ?Do we have everybody?? he inquired, looking about the wandering heads. ?I think the only person we need is. . .?Bi-dow?.? The group looked around aimlessly, trying to find their last companion.

?It?s Bido,? came a lone voice from the cabin wall they were near. The body left its position against the wooden logs, and started pacing towards his pre-determined group. Not allowing the pirate anytime to introduce himself further, Seventeen started things again.

?Alright, let?s get going already, we?ll talk on the way.? The male humanoid took one more look on his map, and then pointed in the direction he thought would hold the mountains. He set himself off and tucked the map into his back pocket, with his loose shirt covering it up.

All of the people walked in their own selective sub-groups of the larger group, but Seventeen made sure that he set himself ahead of the rest, he needed time to think. Time had once again precious, but in a different sense than it had before. Ever since the android left the Room of Spirit and Time, his relationship with the fourth dimension grew once again, but it had a different value than it once had.

In a matter of minutes since he opened those doors and proclaimed the evil gone, and after he had been brought to King Yemma yet again, he appeared within a room of nearly three dozen chambers, and one designated for the ki-less man. He had seen the two aliens that he saw just moments ago, and the youngest of the family had tried to attack him, but Bido stopped the attack, only in vain though, which was apparent with the circumstance they were in.

Time was passing him by. Hours must have passed in the slumber that Brim?s scientists had put him in, and he was only growing further from the only one that could cause him pain. Selipa, the female which he had saved in numerous ways, was most likely now forgetting him. The thought of this caused the android to slip slightly out of his state of apathy and back into that of melancholy. Where he was right now did not matter to the humanoid at all, except for the fact that it was not where she was. The way Seventeen was before he died would have resented these fluxations in emotions, how he allowed another person to cause him to lose his love for his way of life, which had been to fight. Blood lust was all the android before, and then he gained so much, and he felt as though he had lost it all.

?Hey!? Uub called out from behind, jogging for a moment to catch up to his ?leader.? The android let out a feign smile as his reply, allowing his alliance commander to be the one to start a form of conversation. ?Have you heard of ?Friend or Foe? before, Seventeen?? he questioned, unsure of how to act to the robot as a superior, since he had grown accustomed to be the one to bark orders?not that he barked orders all the time, but he enjoyed doing so, especially to the youth.

?No. . .? the partial human trailed off, his eyes showing signs of his electronic innards at work. ?I have not.? The humanoid had heard mention of some form of competition such as this, but up to now he simply assumed that it was mentionings of Dante?s Abyss. ?Have you?? he inquired back, attempting to not let the conversation die out.

?Yea,? he piped up, half-enthusiastically, ?Burter has told me about it, along with Bra, but she hasn?t actually said all to much about it.? His face slipped down, thinking about just why the female was reluctant to give out information as much as the veteran fighter Burter, but soon enough he settled for the guess that it would just be another one of her quirks. ?Hopefully things won?t have to get as worse as they did last time,? he started, catching Seventeen?s attention as the android looked towards the human with slight awe. ?I?ve heard that emotions flared a lot in that ?contest?, and those kind of scars can wound you for life. . .? His words drifted off, surprised of how serious the conversing between the pair of them was, and remembered that humour would be better for the situation.

Those kind of scars can wound you for life. The words were repeated within Seventeen?s mind, his mouth ajar slightly in just how much he felt the drift of that saying, and just as his thoughts began to pace back to Selipa, Uub tried to bring the funniness that was his original intent. ?So, uh, whatja think ?bout them Red Sox?? Just as the darkened human said the last word, he noticed his leader stop abruptly, and decided to do so as well. ?What?s the ma??

?We?re here,? Seventeen muttered, stepping forward once again into the cave, immediately noticing the contrast in brightness to where it had been on the outside of Kala.

EVENT

The caves were huge, stretching deep inside the mountains of the asteriod. There was no light except two torchs at the front of the caves which the group would have to carry. This meant if they split up, they could only go in two groups.

There were many secrets in the caves. Corpes, treasure, old mining equipment, and much much more...

(just a description for ya.)

Zarbon nodded as he walked into the cave, looking at every nook of the place before making a comment. ?This is nice, from dark to more dark. So, what next?? The mutant groaned as he looked down farther into the cave. It was useless to see anything farther then only a few steps along the passage downward. ?I think we should take a torch and go.? The transformer grabbed one of the flaming sticks and held it up in the air, laughing. ?Who?s with me?? Most members just shrugged confused at what was so funny, so Zarbon began his way into the caverns.

It was dark down there alright. Enough to get a guy lost for hours. Lucky they had a torch with them, or they would never find their way around the rocky underground. They all paced along for some time, not finding much of interest other then a bit of old rusty mining equipment and few worthless coins. It soon became very dull amongst them, as all sounds of the world above them turned into pure silence. ?I miss the Shadow Mountains.? Zarbon thought sadly. ?My lips are getting dry and it?s very humid in here. I must look like a mess to everyone else.?

After walking through the maze of tunnels for what seemed like hours, the transformer was finally getting really tired of their predicament, and had just decided to turn back, when he turned one last bend. Around this corner was something interesting.

It was a large open area by what Zarbon?s torchlight could tell, and it was filled with old drills and digging equipment, gathering a vast amount of dust. ?Looks like the main area.? Zarbon said, and then sneezed loudly do to the great amount particles in the air. ?Let?s take a look around.?

?We can?t.? Krillin said rolling his eyes. ?Only you brought a torch, dumbass.?

?I think I have the solution.? Their android leader 17 entered. He walked up to Zarbon and grabbed him by the hair, making the transformer scream loudly. 17 kept on tugging until he pulled out a bunch of Zarbon?s hair. As the mutant sobbed and complained endlessly, he broke them into large clumps. ?See? That works.? Their leader laughed.

?I cannot describe how much I hate you.? Zarbon grumbled at him, rubbing his new bald spot frowning.

After threatening the transformer with a bit more hair pulling, they got him to share his torch to burn his own locks of hair, though he cried through the whole thing. From there, they spread out quickly, knowing that the hair would burn rapidly. They checked the cavern head to toe, until Toma found something. ?Look guys!? He shouted. ?A mining cart!? Everyone turned towards the saiyan, seeing an old mining cart, covered in rust. The cart was placed on stainless steel tracks, ready to go into the darkness ahead.

?They must lead somewhere.? Gero said in a wise voice.

?No shit.? Zarbon frowned.

After looking it over a little more, they knew it was safe, and all got in, though it was a tight squeeze at first. A few people had to be placed on another person?s lap. They pushed off from there, using Ki cannons to give them the push they needed to move themselves down the track. After the starting push off, they began they hit a slope and their cart began to wheel downward. ?Well, this is nice.? Krillin said comfortable on Zarbon?s lap. ?Though, I wouldn?t want to fall.? The midget looked over the edge and saw what was below: nothing. It was a long drop from where they were.

?Don?t worry.? 20 smiled. ?I?m sure we will be fine as long as we??

?Lean at the TURN!? Krillin shouted.

?That?s right??

?No! I mean it!?

They were racing along the track at top speed now, moving a meter a second. Ahead was a large bend in the road, and if they didn?t curve with it, they would fly off the edge, and down into a bottomless pit, or worse, a pit with a bottom! ?Christ!? 17 yelled. ?Lean to the left!? They did, the wheels hammered on the left side, spurring sparks all over the place. Zarbon gritted his teeth as he pushed as hard as he could against the edge.

?Alright, stop before we fall!? Their android leader shouted back at them. The road returned to a straight one. ?I pray we don?t have to do that again.? They did though, though they were prepared the next few time, and got used to bending their cart back and forth. Any fear of falling had now faded. They breathed a sigh of relief. ?We are good.? Toma smirked lightly as he said it.

?Err?? Krillin broke in. ?That jump is good right?? The old man pointed ahead and everyone looked. There was a break in the track, curving upward into the air to another one far away. ?I?m sure we can handle it.? They sped towards it. Zarbon closed his eyes, thinking that they would never make a jump in this car. It was far too heavy. They hit the jump. The transformer?s lunch climbed up to his mouth. Time stopped for a second, and then they hit the other side, the back side?s wheels missing the track but picking back up with the speed. After the jump, they were in another room similar to the last.

?And nothing bad happened!? The human Krillin chuckled, but at the same time, Zarbon threw up all over them. That made for a quick laugh and a mad midget. They exited the cart and went into this side of the caverns.

?I pray I don?t have to do that again.? Zarbon thought wiping the vomit from his mouth.

OOC: I tried my best to play your character's, and couldn't do a few of them. Sorry.

"How boring. How totally, completely boring. It's just miles of dark. Dark dark dark."

No response. The atmosphere seemed to have effected the tongues of most of the teammates, causing instant paralysis. On others, however, too much ATP was stored in those mouth muscles. The conversion rate to ADP was rapid, and as such, large amounts of energy collected themselves in the vocal cords, yearning to be let loose as free speech.

As Krillin had previously commented, the caves were notably dark. Even the torch's light seem pressured by the dark, threatening at any moment to leap over the photon battlelines and engulf the flame in silence. Krillin wouldn't like that one bit. Light was his friend. Light was what kept him from bumping into rocks, stalagmites, or creepy critters (such as Zarbon).

Twenty said very little, but that was to be expected. Other than a few idle jokes (none of which Krillin found particularly funny), everyone seemed to have succumbed to the darkness. Krillin didn't much like the idea of wandering about dark caves on an unknown asteroid, searching for a clue as to what caused a bloody civil war. The whole idea seemed ominous.

Krillin would just follow the group and stay in the middle. If anything came after them, he'd just kick Bido in the shin and bolt. Perhaps not entirely honorable, but he had no intention of seeing good ol' Pit-Sweat anytime soon.

No sir, that fat-ass ogre can count beans just fine without me there.

The sound of falling feet reverberated in the stale air of the pitch black tunnel. Funny how ironic this seemed to Uub, so familiar to the caverns on Vegeta-Sei years earlier during the Dar?s incident. ?Oh how the times change.? he mumbled, the crunching of small pebbles and the shuffling of feet was enough to dissolve his vocal emissions, leaving his statement to fall on deaf ears.

He studied the group around him, nothing impressive by any means, none of them besides 17 and Tapion seemed to register as adequate in his mind. But he was stuck with them for now, for now at least. ?How long does this tunnel go on for god!? a voice rang out behind the bronzed warrior, making him stop and turn slightly. ?Shut up!? he whispered. ?We don?t know what the hell?s down here.?

17 raised his arm allowing the torch to illuminate back on the stopped group. ?Uub what seems to be the problem?? the human turned around and continued walking, pushing past the human imitation. ?Your boys seem to be unequipped for stealth, tell them to mind their tongues, we don?t know what could be lurking down here.? the android nodded as he watched his companion vanish into the shadows before him.

?Who the hell is he to snap at me like that!? it was the mutant 17 had pulled hair from. ?Someone that knows what he?s doing.? Tapion retorted walking past the bald spotted warrior and following Uub down the hallway. ?Let?s move? 17 commanded turning back around and shining light before the others.

?This damn passage goes on forever? Uub had moved on in front of the group, his eyes could see well enough in this passage, though not as great as he would of liked, his other sense though made up for his impaired line of vision. He could still hear the others, that was good they were not far behind, if he needed light they were only a few minutes behind, but a few minutes here could mean life and death so he stopped.

?Oof? *thud* ?Ouch! what the hell man!? Uub spun around and grabbed someone by the throat, squeezing with all his might he pulled upwards and thrusted the flailing body into the rock wall lining the passage. The sound of pain and breaking rock filled his ears and he coughed as he inhaled aged dust and grit.

?WHAT HAPPENED!!!? 17 bounded into sight, his torch lighting his path and illuminating him and the others, and with that light all dropped their jaws as they looked upon Uub and the hole he had created. ?Tapion!? 17 darted forwards into the hole and shook the unconscious youth back awake. ?Opps.? Uub rubbed the back of his head and grinned slightly. ?He startled me? he smiled and stepped forward trough the broken rock and helped heft the man to his feet.

?Sorry mate.? he brushed him off and slapped him on the back. ?Don?t worry about it.? Tapion rubbed his throat and coughed slightly. * Sorry my ass * Uub sneered inside his mind.

?Guy?s check this out!? 17 raised his torch higher as the others stepped into the room, and a room it was. ?Look?s like we ought to thank you two.? he grinned slightly ?Looks like we have a lead.?

EVENT

"I think we just found the cave man's gladiator dome." Uub chuckled, looking up at the insanely vast cavern. His voice echoed down the room.

The cavern wasn't actually a fighting arena, but it surely could have been. Smoothed over walls, a light sandy floor, and at least a hundred yards deep into the mountains of Kala.

"I don't think something like this could be made without the aid of something." Krillin observed.

"Perhaps the miners made this room."

A light hiss came behind them, but Toma was the only one to see it. He looked up at the uninvited guest, backing up into Zarbon. The handsome green man turned to yell at him, but he too saw it. Unlike Toma, Zarbon yelled out what he saw dangingly from the roof of the room.

"Oh shit!" He shouted, "It's a giant spider!"

OOC: Last post (3rd).

Chaos had arisen between the members of the group. Though Seventeen tried to keep things orderly, rather than simply branch off and fight the monstrosities himself which he would have normally done, but a second death had cured all that. Fragments of a weapon laid strewn about the floor; some schmooze had thought that these creatures would be disposed of with a simplistic gun, which may have been advanced technology-wise, but when it came down to strength in circumstances such as these, it held no weight. People had begun to disperse, attempting to eliminate the mini versions of the eight-legged creatures. For those who had arachnophobia, this would not be such a dream, but being teleported into a deathly game show wasn?t all peaches ?n cream.

?Ugh,? the android sighed, frustrated with the turn in events, ?why does nobody listen to the robot?? The rhetorical question simply drifted into the hidden room was a leg came whipping past the humanoid?s vision. The course hairs that were bestowed to the enormous leg?which seemed to be nearly as long as Seventeen?s stout neck?rubbed against his cheek on the withdrawal, causing burns to appear across his visage. The robot winced in slight pain at the sudden occurrence, but caught his composure rather quickly as his arms raised up in defiance to the spider and grabbed the wicked appendage. The humanoid pulled with much might, but this only caused the foe to use more force to gain back his leg, but the raven-haired fighter would not give. Finally, the parent decided to use the acidic properties of its saliva to gnaw its opponents hand off, but after the lime-green substance was flying, air resistance from the resounding blows to the tinier arachnids caused it to be forced back some, and thus a small fraction landed on the hairy leg, and started to eat through.

Many of the fighters? ears were treated to the high-pitched squeal that echoed in the cavern, and those that took time away from their fight quickly looked back, noting that the ?leader? was merely subduing the creature to pain. Seventeen?s force finally paid off as a section of the leg came tearing off before the acid had any time to harden itself about the appendage. The android was taken back a bit by too much force being exerted for such a minor job, but the damage was still done, or more was to be dealt out. Dying for a third time?even if it be that of the fictitious side?was not among his more pleasurable thoughts, thus he would do whatever it would take to make the creature forfeit or be vanquished.

The spider?s gaze was now fixed on Seventeen as the multiple eyes, arranged in a format that would confuse even the greatest of mathematicians who dealt with patterns, squinted, or seemed to, that is. The creature began walking towards the cybernetic man, abandoning any combat with the other seven fighters. His leg raised high into the air, with a rush of wind blowing the hell fighter?s hair back, and then it came rushing down, headed for the humanoid?s head. The warrior was able to sense this attack coming, but that did not stop the edge of the appendage from tearing at his clothes, but his body remained free from superficial scars or marks. After leaping back, the android followed through with relatively weak final flash, which had not been charged up for any known amount of time. ?Final Flash!? he beckoned, viewing as the yellow beam ripped through the particles of air, leaving a slight wave of energy behind that would soon dissipate.

As Seventeen anxiously watched as his attack carried for, the target had taken quick notice to this, and, surprisingly, jumped out of the way of the mastered attack, flying high into the air, then gathering force in his descent. The male spider was crashing towards the android, and the quake that would be induced would surely have caused much woe for his comrades in battle, and after a glance around his surroundings, the hell fighter had to make a hasty decision. ?Agh!? he spouted as the choice was clear.

Crouching down, the android could feel the aura rushing over him, his silicon chips were being activated as his unidentifiable power?well, though non-technological ways, that is?elevated to a moderate amount, but this was purely to pump up his rate at which he flew. With eyes squinting, and the aura beginning to pulsate off a burning scent, the dynamic leader stretched out his hands, preparing to grab ahold of the arachnid.

The insect-like creature was amazed at the sudden change in events as his underbelly was grappled about in mid-air. Seventeen was now pushing his ki so that the large amount of mass that was tumbling along with his would move towards a gorge that could be seen from where he once stood. As the two slipped through the cracks, the humanoid did his best so that the spider would not bite a limb off or melt his inner workings. The last thing that the hell fighter could see was another large spider dropping down. Though he wasn?t able to tell form his viewpoint, this arachnid was relatively smaller and a female, but everybody knows what happens when the mother comes out to play.

***

?Ouch. What is that?? the dazed synthetic human pondered aloud, barely able to set his eyes ajar. A low shriek was heard in his robotic eardrums, but he could not identify just what it was. What his vision could make out in the hazy state was a large brown mass, and it was slowly becoming larger. When another drop of the acid fell onto his raven-black hair, Seventeen was now fully conscious as he could feel it burning into his scalp and that it was hardening. With a quick search of his hands he was able to dismount the globs of saliva that had collected on his head, and he then searched for the source.

After a brief remembrance of earlier events, the humanoid was able to determine that that ?large, brown mass? from earlier was, indeed, the spider that was contesting him when he was near his teammates. Now they were nowhere in sight, and his memory was not able to tell just how he ended up in this predicament. Though, figuring out what had happened to the other seven was important, he would have to fend off the creature for the time being.

Another attack was launched; taking a lime-green form, but Seventeen was able to evade the spit and charged towards his rather large opponent. With a clenched fist, the synthetic man billowed his hand into the creature?s hide, but found that it was abnormally strong. This was an unpredicted fact, that the spider would have a very high defense, but the android would just have to find a way around such a thing. ?Well then,? he began, stretching his hand outward and grasping into thin air, ?if that won?t work.? A bright glow began to form within his hands. The hand quickly became shaky, and the owner of the appendage a bit on edge as his foe was starting towards him. Soon enough, though, a cylinder of golden light appeared into existence and the android went forth. Normally a smirk would be present on his face in such an uplifting move, but keenness in battle did not hold the same appeal that it once had, he was merely trying to survive for the moment.

As the rod moved around majestically within his fingers?twirling about to pass the second?the arachnid launched forth, once again attempting to use its mass to its advantage. Seventeen moved his hand down to the edge of the weapon, ready to use it as a dagger against the monstrosity. In much desire, the attack had landed ho as the golden light pierced through the spider?s eyes, causing a barely audible yelp to be heard by the android as he grabbed onto the staff with his second hand, driving the staff forth, further into the insect-like creature?s head, jumbling about with the brains before the kinetic energy soon shattered into pieces and fell to the ground, soon to dissipate into a state of nothingness.

Seventeen was the type who would use such a victory to flaunt his superiority over others, but this time was different. The sense of conceited that he had once felt was now replaced with an ache. A victory on the battlefield was neither a win nor a loss to him now; it only meant that he would fight again. Fight again for what, his mind would wander. Fight for the people who he had been separated form, for himself, for this Brim, for his love who seemingly betrayed him? These were questions were becoming spoiled in his mind as he began search for his comrades.

The passage that he had fallen into was covered in all directions save the one he was currently following. The map that he had tucked in his back pocket would be of no value at the moment, with not knowing where he was. After several minutes of light walking, though, the android made his way to what appeared to be some form of light. After only have the cascades of light form various parts of the cavern as his guide before, the night light of Kala was a welcomed relief.

OOC: I've kinda left my group; I am basically at the exit of the cave. I didn't think this would be too much of an event, so, yea. Oh, yea, guys; there is another spider there, the mother. Have fun. =D

Praise God for Foresight. Without that neat little ability, Krillin would have already been spun up in a tight little cocoon and hung up to dry.

Krillin loathed spiders. Something about the smoothness or hairiness (as the case might be), the bulging abdomen, or most likely the fangs left him unsettled. Wee little ones scared the feces clean out of his butthole. Big Momma caused convulsions.

Externally, he likely looked nervous, being as jittery as a slinky during a 'quake. Krillin's strategy was obvious. He'd do the long-range stuff and leave the close encounters to those of sterner stuff. He quickly adopted a small crevice on the upper tiers of the dome, allowing a fantastic firing line, while at the same time, allowing him to dodge Mum.

And, as often happened in such dire circumstances, Krillin's stupidity was proclaimed three seconds later in a frightened yelp. The "crevice" he had stumbled into happened to be the joint living room of a spider duplex. Dozens upon dozens of Arachnida climbed over his back and down his pants, causing him to wiggle and jiggle in an unmistakeable stupor.

In desperation, he leapt off the upper tiers and onto the floor below, rolling about like a maniac to squelch the jitter-bugs. Luckily, none of his fellow warriors took note.

It's unfortunate that Krillin offered no actual offense (or defense) in the fight that ensued, as he fainted soon after the infestation, but through the concerted efforts of the other warriors, the fight began to look better as time progressed.

The wrinkled android stared up in awe at the size of the monstrous arachnid that towered over the small group of fighters. It was awe-inspiring, that a creature could live so long as to grow to such an enormous proportion. It was only defending its home from them, as they had trespassed into its lair. However, Gero knew that if they didn't try to fight back, they were soon going to be a tasty snack for the eight-legged monster.

As the spider hissed and began to attack the group, Gero immediately leapt out of the fray. He heard their mechanical leader attempting to call out commands to lead the group, however, they were futile, as everyone seemed to erupt into chaos, each assuming their own fighting style.

"This isn't going to work! We aren't working as a team!" Gero thought angrily in his mind.

"Everyone is just running and attacking wildly like a horde of bufoons. There's got to be some order established here." Android 20 echoed in the back of his mind. "WATCH IT!"

Gero looked up, and threw himself to the side just as an acidous ball of spit from the arachnid hurlted by. It slammed into the ground behind him, and began to sizzle, the ground burning beneath it. Glaring back up at the spider, Gero spotted the group's leader doing something both brave and completely insane. The black-haired mechanoid had grabbed hold of one of the spider's apendages, and was attempting to break it off. A lime green burst of acid sprayed out of the spider's foaming jaws, and was about to hit the android, when it seemed to lose its balance. The spit splashed onto its own leg, and then, an ear-piercing shriek filled the cavern, grinding into Gero's ears with fierce intensity, causing him to clap his hands around his audio sensors in pain.

When the aged scientist looked back up again, his eyes were filled with a glaring golden beam of light, roaring out from the outstretched hands of their leader. The beam screamed towards the towering spider, when in a shocking display of speed, the arachnid jumped over the destructive wave of energy, and dive-bombed towards the raven-haired machine. In a rush of energy, an aura burst around their leader, moments before the spider slammed into him. However, the android had remarkably managed to grab a hold of the monster. His power rose as he strained himself to defeat this creature, the ground quaking and cracking beneath him.

And then, Gero watched as the massive spider and their leader began to fall through the ruptured ground. The spider let out one final shriek as the two disappeared from view.

That's when the wizened android felt a stinging pain in his left leg. One of the smaller arachnids he had not noticed before had just sprayed a wad of acid onto his leg, and now Gero was beginning to feel its effects. Grimacing, the android quickly wiped the bodily fluid off of himself before it could burn into his circuits. Quite annoyed now, the android turned his attention to the fledgling creature, raising his arm to face the spider. Softly muttering the word "Nova," a radiating burst of white energy exploded before him, vaporizing the tiny spider completely in its blast.

Turning around, Gero was once again treated to another shock. A slightly smaller, but still massive spider had dropped off the cieling and was now scuttling furiously towards the group.

"Uh oh. You all pissed off the momma." Android 20 echoed.

Ignoring his robotic half, Gero quickly formulated a plan of attack. Spiders were very top-heavy creatures, relying on their eight legs to support them. Taking out a single leg will hamper it, but not paralyze it. One would need to take out at least six legs in order to immobilize it. And that's when Gero had an idea.

A translucent field of white energy whipped up around the elderly android, as he propelled himself towards the spider. Gripping his right arm, an orange light began to radiate from within it. Quickly calculating his velocity and trajectory, Gero threw his hand forward towards the spider. An orange grapple erupted from his palm, the golden kienzan tip buzzing towards one of the spider's legs.

The gruesome and yet satisfying sound of flesh and exoskeleton being ripped apart met his audio sensors (as well as another piercing shriek from the creature). Gero knew he was going to have to act quickly. Quickly focusing a minute amount of energy to his left, he utilized his inertia recoil technique to whip him around the spider rapidly, increasing increasing his acceleration as inertia whipped him around faster. Bursts of green acid whizzed by the machine as he began to circle faster. The glowing orange ki grapple began to tighten around the spider's many legs, pulling them closer and closer together, until finally, it lost its balance.

Hissing loudly, the massive spider began to tumble, and hit the ground hard. The mechanoid quickly halted his rotation, and grabbed onto his ki grapple tightly. The spider hissed loudly, as it began to strain against the lengthy cord of energy that immbolized it. Gero felt his body straining to hold the arachnid, and he knew it wouldn't be long before it broke free.

"Now's your chance! I can't hold this thing much longer!" Gero cried out to the others.

OOC: 2nd post. Spider is now temporarily hog-tied, and will break free soon.

Zarbon had been running in circles, trying to evade the massive arachnids crashing down from the ceiling and throwing them all into confusion, including himself of course. The transformer became even more in a mess when thousands upon thousands of little spiders came down with them! It was unbearable to know that little bugs might be crawling around in his clothes. He had been focused on himself, but no longer: for when his robotic ally 20 called for strike, he listened to every word, and heeded him them well. He charged through the crowding spiders, trying to get there to help Gero take care of the spider he rustled up. The little monstrosities spat a gooey liquid after them, the strange substance barely missing the transformer: one in fact hit his leg, singing him and making the mutant lose his balance and topple forward, making him go into a somersault into the crowds of little insects around them. Upon stopping, he got up on one knee and turned back in rage.

?Little bastards!? Zarbon shouted loudly and formed his hand into gun-like shape and began shooting the swarms around him, them stinging back with their strange liquids. The mutant soon let out a moan from the effort and gave up fight, charging through the shrouds about him once again. The transformer needed some sort of plan to take the bugs out, but couldn?t think of one. ?How does one kill so many?? Zarbon thought carefully, making sure not to step on one lest he get their damned acid on his feet, and that made the transformer think. ?Maybe if I get a way to turn their goo against them, then they will take themselves out! But how?? It didn?t really matter: he would figure it out when he got the beast before him.

The mutant pointed his palm down. ?I need a boost.? He smiled, remembering how he took out Kaiol in the Shadow Mountains. As he did when fighting the giant, he launched his trademark move: the great teal and white beam known as the Possiblity Cannon, sending him shooting into the air in rapid speed. The Ki cannon dissipated quickly after the launch and Zarbon turned downward pointing his feet towards the giant spider 20 was taking down, though it was still wiping about like a wild bull trying to escape the android?s grapple.

The transformer landed on the creature?s back, managing to keep his stability as it throwed about in its ensnared state. He now needed to make the big spider go pop and spread his guts everywhere. He still had no idea how to do it, but he needed to. If the meantime, he kept his team relaxed. ?I?ll get this big?insect thingy down in a minute!? He shouted to them, but added in a mutter: ?I hope.?

The giant insect shook back and forth, making 20 shout behind him in fear of the spider getting loose. The android?s yell said in basic terms: ?Hurry the hell up!? Zarbon thought about how to take the big hairy arachnid out of the picture. His cannon wouldn?t work if he was to pull off the plan. ?How am I going to-? The mutant stopped in mid-sentence as a small object fell out of his pocket. He quickly grabbed it, making him slip slightly, needing him to grab the beast?s fur. The insect made a loud squeak of pain: well, as loud as a spider can get anyway.

Zarbon opened his palm, looking at what he had clamped. A tube of lipstick. It was then he remembered.

?You did well mutant.? Yemma said grabbing something with in and slowly pulling it out. ?Think of it as my own reward.? He had pulled out a lipstick tube, and Zarbon smiled at the sight of it because even though some people didn?t know it, he was a big fan of the stuff.

?Yemma,? Zarbon smiled. ?I?m going to worship you from now on.? The transformer began to climb back up, not halting his climb no matter how much the creature squealed. The mutant finally had his plan. He put the lipstick tube in his teeth so it would not restrict his ascension, and then carried onward. When he finally reached the top, he opened the tube. The lipstick was a deep purple. His favourite. He sloped it on slowly, letting the stuff soak into his lips.

?Alright,? Zarbon said to himself. ?Let?s try this!? His mouth began to glow a bright purple and little sparks flew off it like magic. The transformer bent down, kissing the spider on it back, softly saying: ?This is my kiss. The Kiss of Death.? The insect yelped for a moment and whined as if in great pain. It threw the Ki grapple off of him and began to dance about, stomping the ground. Zarbon was throw off about the same time the grapple was, looking back and seeing his lips emprinted on the beast?s back. The mutant backflipped and landed easily, throwing his arms back for Extra Graceful Cannon, but waited for when the time was right.

Soon enough, acid began to spur from spider?s sides. It erupted from his skin and began to form puddles on the ground, killing most of its babies easily. It pranced about until it fell to the ground, still leaking its fluids onto the little monsters it produced. Zarbon knew it was time. Since most of the little guys were gone, they could get on easy from here. He fired his Graceful Cannon, the beam erupting from both his palms. The great energy burst crashed into the ground, spreading the sand on it in all directions. It hit the mother spider hard, breaking the beast apart in seconds, the insect looking at himself dying with its big red buggy eyes.

Goo blew across the room across them all, making them covered in viscous liquid. Zarbon felt his hair. It was covered in the stuff. ?This his going to take hours to get out!? He whined, then noticed more little spiders coming down from the ceiling.

?More!?? The mutant shouted. ?It must be a nest!? He sobbed quietly. "If I have to do that again, my looks are ruined!"

OOC: Sorry for lack of posting, this is my second, I am trying to squeeze in time to RP.

The arachnid was dead, but there was still much fight left. Goo dripped from his body from the explosion of the large spider, it gave a weird, tingly feeling to the konat until he looked up. More and more spiders walked along the ceiling above them as if there was no gravity, and many dropped. Tapion didn't take the time to count any of them, but decided this time he would have to do something actually worth it in the end.

The mohawked head turned to his allies, and a small smile played upon his soft lips. He turned his back down them and walked down the lengthy shaft of the cave. Eyes turned to him, noticing his departure, but they weren't sure on what to do as they had many spiders to kill off. So their attention was turned to the many smaller arachnids that dropped from above.

Down the tunnel of darkness, the pointed elf ears vibrated with the echoes of the battle with grunts and other sounds. After a certain distance the konat stopped and turned into the darkness, where he could make out light every now and then from ki. His eyes skimmed through the darkness until he was satisfied with where he was. The slender right hand of the konat-jin raised to above his right shoulder, gripping the handle of his large sword, sheathed on his back. With a slow, dramatic movement, the sound of metal grinding against each other was heard as he withdrew the sword from its holster and held it tightly with his right hand. His left hand joined with his right in holding the handle of the large blade.

Tapion pulsed with energy and felt in run through him, flowing through his blood, through his veins, like water flowing down a creek. The energy within his lean body flowed into his arms and hands and fingertips, transferring itself into the blade. A mystical glow radiated from the sharpened metal in his hands as the blade itself was energized. The glow was of a white color, with a small dab of yellow into it, representing the energy from his body.

The konat's left hand fell from the sword and his knees bent slightly. His left foot shifted infront of his body and he took off into a full sprint in an instant. A whistle noise rang in his ears as the wind played with the flesh. He turned his hand, pivoting his wrist so the blade was pointed toward the ground, the tip of the blade dipped in the ground, leaving a line in the ground, leaving traces of himself. The interesting thing was that the small line made was filled with a white streak; energy leaked out from the blade as it glided through the rock and hard soil.

"I've had enough of this..." Were the only words mumbled from the sprinting warrior. His sword continued to glow mysteriously and the attention of the other fighters was gained. They all seemed to make a path for him, almost expecting what he was about to do, that or afraid of getting in the way. He spun the blade in his hand once, the streak of energy left what looked like a discus behind. It was a beautiful site.

Dirt kicked up behind him as he sped through the tunnel, but it was almost unseen. He got closer and closer to the arachnid chamber, all of this was within a few seconds as he was much faster than some would have expected at first sight of his konat body. As he got closer and closer, he took three steps and with his right foot, he kicked off the ground, leaping into the ground, not very high as he could have bumped his head, but he seemed to fly at a great speed from the self-launch from the ground. The smile returned to his lips as he found his target, in the front of the horde of spiders that clogged the chamber.

He finally came down. Both feet slammed into the hard dirt first, breaking the soil beneath his feet making himself sink in about an inch, ever so slightly. His left hand rejoined his right on his sword as he brought it from above his head, down, in a stabbing motion toward the ground. The sword struck, slamming into the ground with great force, making the sounds in the cave to suddenly stop as cold shivers ran up even the legs of the eight legged freaks. The cave seemed to tremble, as nothing happened at first. Tapion felt his energy drain ever so slightly, mostly from the energy he put in his sword, but some rapidly left his body, transferring with the exerting ki.

The tunnels and different shafts echoed with the thud of the sword sliding into the ground, almost as if the dark corridors never ended. Then finally, a roar was heard and then a small sound, a cracking noise. The light was dim but barely enough to see a small crack forming in front of his blade, it was small at first, just there, as if that was it. Almost mocking him, saying 'is that all you got?'. But then it spread, almsot instantly in the time of a second, and the length filled the rest of the room as a fissure was creating, spreading the rock and dirt and other objects in the ground from the force of the impact, and the energy exerting forward from his blade, as well.

The gaping fissure spread even more, as many spiders fell into the depths of the crack and the walls and the roof of the cave all rumbled. Dirty shook loose and fell from the top of the cave onto Tapion's head, almost like the cave was laughing at him. Then the scream of Android 20 came.

"Run! The roof is caving in!"

There was more rumbling, and a roar echoed as the crack ran up the wall and followed through on the ceiling, opening it and making rocks and dirt fall and allowing the rest of the insects to fall to the ground, and in the end, into the large fissure. The whole cave began to shake, and soon to be, caving in. The konat was exhausted from so much energy being exerted at once. Once again he mumbled, but only to himself.

"Just call me...the Blade Runner...." He chuckled to himself as he sheathed his sword again, his body telling him to rest.

It was rather funny, actually. The one called Bido was so dramatic, Krillin could not help but giggle. He thought back to the old "Private Eye" movies, and could easily have seen this space pirate in any one of them. Probably not the color ones (since blue-skinned aliens with orange hair weren't well-liked by cast directors), but the black-and-white variety should have been receptive.

But, regardless, it got them out. Even if the spiders had been killed, he still had the willies just from standing near their corpses. The scary B movies he used to love came to mind. Spiders would pop out of the momma's distended belly, latch onto the nearest person, and suck the living bejeezus out of them. Incredibly unrealistic, of course, but frightening nonetheless.

The first thought with the explosion was "loud". Next came "hot". After that, light waltzed into the cave, sat its fat ass on the ground, and went to sleep. Lazy bastard, but Krillin loved every ounce of it. There were a few smiles here and there in the congregation, but only he was rocking back and forth like a Southern Baptist. And, since he was the most excited, it's reasonable to assume that he was the first one out.

If there had been grass on the ground, he would have grasped it in his palms and smooched it. But, there wasn't. Instead, a large plain of dirt stretched alongside the mountain, looking entirely unsmoochable.

Bido walked up behind, wearing a slightly egotistical look as if it was a few sizes too small. Gero was next to come out, smiling slightly at the bald man's happiness.

Most of the others remained solemn, but for a moment, Krillin forgot the pressures of the forthcoming competition, and celebrated. Later down the road, he would likely square off against these same teammates, but for now, they were Brothers, sharing in the dim light.

ooc: Takes place before Tapion's post.

Uub shook his head, countless dead spiders lay around him in the darkness, the sounds of the others struggling echoed in his ears. ?These people panic to easily.? He closed his eyes, the amount in darkness never changed, the pitch black piercing deep into his mind.

?HAAAAAAAAAAAA!? power surged through Uub, his aura sparked to life as his rushing energies exploded into an emerald aura. Light danced about the cavern walls, playing off the milky white eyes of his arachnid foes. ?It?s a shame really that I will not be around much longer to kill the rest of you, but I?ve business elsewhere, you all of are no concern to me.?

Allowing his powers to rise to their full extent in his Spirit Ken boost his emerald aura pulsed with extreme power. ?They can follow me if they want, but I?m getting the hell out of here.? Cupping his hands Uub chanted the words of a technique that had so well served him in the past. ?Chou!? a small orb spiraled to life between his palms as he channeled his energies in the centralized location. ?Kamehame?.? He grinned as he thrusted his arm?s forward, ?HAAAAAAA!?

The energy bounded forward with the sound of an exploding cannon, the bright bluish energy illuminating the darkness to such intensity the spider?s squealed in fear and pain, the whitish orb burning their sensitive coronas, blinding them in eternal darkness.

?What the hell is he doing?? someone yelled with their hands covering their face. But they needed no answer as the head of the beam barreled into the ceiling of the cavern. Slowly but surly Uub forced his attack through the ancient rock, channeling more and more of his power into the beam. ?Almost?? he strained as he sent one last surge of ki into the massive force.

The explosion rocked the cavern, chunks of falling rock scattered the dirt floor, crushing squealing spiders and squirting their remains across everything in sight. Uub laughed, he had penetrated to the outside world, and the fresh outside air a gift from god as it replaced the stagnant ancient air so long trapped from the surface.
