I'll provide the chord notation for the pianoforte, you tell me what classic tune/sound/whatever it is. It's quite recognizable, I'd go as far to say that everyone that has ever joined Chubbs would know it. It's all played one-note at a time, starting at the bottom of the chord and continuing to the top.
<E minor chord minus the 5th (Octave E, middle G)>
then
<C2 Chord, higher than the E minor Chord>
In effect, the notes should be like this: "E, G (up), E (up), C (down), D (up), G (up)."
Play that and tell me what it means. =D

It must be played quickly. All six notes are played in succession very quickly. It should take only two-seconds. They are played mezzo-forte, usually in the higher octaves, with perhaps the vibes.

Gimme it on an actual musical bar, and I'll tell you what it is. I'm like colorblind with music. I can only see if it's written as notes.

That, my friend, is part of the riddle. I've given all directions. Translate them in your mind.
If it's really that much of a problem, I'll offer a reward shortly.

Crap, I'm too lazy to figure that out right now. Might give it some thought tomorrow or something.

No hints, though I can promise you that EVERYONE on this site knows this "tune" by heart.

Ah, it should be rather recognizable on there as well. Vibrophone would be best, but that would work.

No. I daresay it's a much more popular tune than that.
Another hint (but this is the final one): This tune would probably not be recognizable with people aged 40 and over. 70% of the 30 and younger would probably know it, while 99% of the 20 and younger population would know it.

No.
It's not mainstream music, in that it's been released on a record. But everyone knows the Main Theme to it.
I've said for too much already.

The Pokemon theme tune.
Edit: Ohmigod it's Mario! It's Mario isn't it?

I can't allow vague answers. If you think it's from Pokemon or Mario, you must give what it is specifically.
No, HF. It's not O Canada.
