I could probably come up with some fancy, elaborate way of saying this, but I'm tired.
We'll be deleted a lot of the shit on here. A lot. Everything in the "Legends" category. All of the alliance forums. Very possibly all of the Asylum. We're deleting as much as we possibly can.
Point being, if there's something you, personally, want to save, go save it. We'll keep stuff around for a couple days, more or less, but after that it'll be gone.

There are things in the Legends forum that I like to re-read, like the DAs or FoF. And CU's alliance forum has extremely tediously written histories and schematics and things that would be pretty hard to save and move somewhere else.

The point of doing this, I assume, is to create a clean break with the past. If not, maybe it's about.. storage issues. I dunno.

It's about technical issues. It has nothing to do with the content.
I know there's some stuff floating around that people don't want to lose. That's why this warning was given. If you like to reread posts, save them to a word document or something.
Also, there's no chance that this isn't going to happen.

Hmm... That sucks. I was hoping that we could just back this board up in some form and effectively run a new clean board with this old one locked. Especially given that the entire point in saving things in the Legends forum was to archive things, and now we are deleting the archives. Its like burning down a museum.
But since there's no other choice, then I guess I'll just have to get over it.

I only care about the stuff in the Legends forums, because that's our past history in a nutshell (and I expected when we did this change that we'd put the current IC forums down there as well.)
I'm hoping someone else has a forum that they would mind uploading this stuff to, because saving those old sagas in a coherent forum would be a bit... difficult to say the least.

That's a good point Belle because if it is, I can understand why we would not need them. If there is not a way to make the posts not count, then they would have to be removed.

Well, if it was about that, then that would mean the program is unable to exemp desired sections of the forums. Which would mean that the Asylum, then, would also be counted post-reset, which seems like an insurmountable problem. So hopefully (and probably) it's not that.
