Another thing you'll learn in any Anatomy class is that different body types exist. To be basic, there is a rather slim build, an average build, and then a more stockier build. A person in one of these builds can't really do much to be a different build because his/her body follows that build.
In other words, and I'm not saying this is the case, you may simply just be of a larger build, which is perfectly ok.
Just something that came to mind.

Oh, Burter, I know I'm pretty. I know I don't look that over weight, or else I wouldn't show my face on the net.
I think I need to do this for myself, emotionally and physically. I know if I can last longer than 3 mins on a bike, I'll feel happier than ever. I miss when I could run for 11 mins at school, and talk without running out of breath while walking.
Also it was really depressing when I shopped for a dress to be my ex's escourt to his graduation and none fit, no matter where I went, all the beautiful dresses were too small, but only by a bit. I want to look good when I graduated next year, and I know I will graduate, I have the confidence to become better and stop thinking of myself as a failure.

Those pains you were talking about after going up stairs, did they hurt more every time you took a breath? If yes, then I think it's nothing to worry about. Unless it persisted for days on end, I think that you just got a "side pain." I'm sure there's a more scientific term for it, but I don't know it. Those things happen randomly all the time, but more often when you push your body past its normal limits, while not getting enough oxygen. They hurt like a bitch, but they're normal.
I still think you should try the self-motivation approach or getting a trainer at a gym to help you before spending that much money, but that's just my opinion. It's great to try and lose weight and be physically fit, but it's entirely possible to do it without being in a weight-loss program and pay a crapload of money for it.
And I still stand by saying you should try swimming. Honestly, it's a lot less strenous on body mechanics, but it burns as much or more calories than running and walking. More so if you push yourself to go fast, and about equal if you just do some laps.

Unless I get a friend to swim with, I'll pass, I'd rather hop on an exersize bike for a while with some good music.
And if you didn't notice I said I'd basically do this on my own first =P.

I knew that...
Eh, I guess swimming is how you make it then. I just swim to relax, because when you're going, you don't hear anything, and you can just think. Great way to relieve stress I suppose. And now, I'll shut up about swimming. That's not what this thead is about.

umm. Though I'm not the highest person on everyone's "like list", this coming from me, a married man...you're beautiful 18.
Now, we could hit the good old, it's not what's outside, it's what's inside, but I'm not touching that.
If this is just purely for your own mental and physical benefit, I say go with your heart and try every and anything until you hit whatever works best for you. I've seen that "no carbs diet" work on MANY people, so that's not a bad choice I guess. tie that in with a run every other day and bam, before you know it, you'll be running miles on end, trust me, I've been there.
From personal experience...
I was WAY overweight. I weighed about 180 lbs and was only 5'4"...that's like, yeah.
Anyways. I began to eat pasta to no end(contradicts what I said earlier, but hey, this here worked for me). Mix in some salads, no soda and no candy, and bam, that was my diet.
As for the exersize, I found out what the military does for boot camp and well, I did it. Try flutter kicks, leg raises, sit ups, push ups, reverse push ups, diamond push ups, and lots of running. That's all I did and that's all i've done.
Four years later...meaning now...
I'm 5'6" and weight 135 lbs. Haven't had a piece of candy since, however, I have had McDonalds here and there and some soda, but mostly just a bowl of either shredded wheat or Cocoa Puffs in the morning, Rice and sandwhich, usually turkey, for lunch, and whatever my wife and I have for dinner. For snacks, either a salad or some form of fruit, usually Kiwi.
I hope I didn't offend anyone with anything I said.
Anyways, if you have losing weight in your heart, good for you, if not, good for you. May sound strange, but the person you are is the person in your heart, not the person everyone sees.

I was being mostly sarcastic, but I don't want to offend Vegeta because he's such a lover of his country, and I also don't want him coming in here and insulting my country. Suffice to say, no more disscussion on Armies or countries, that's just not something I want to do or talk about.
Thank you for the advice Jeice, I love fruit ^^. Now all I need to do is go shopping for food, but can't until tomorrow, no money .

Yep, I already plan on going to bed at eight if I can (after 8 it's hard to digest) and getting up at 6, so no eating between. I was very hungry last night, I couldn;t go to bed because my brother needed me so he had someome to talk to (very bad day yesterday family wise). I had a pickel and some water and finally got to bed by 1 a.m. even though I was craving the left over spegettie we had for supper -.-
I know this is going to be hard, but I think I can do it. It's just like life to make me take the hard route, counting the proper amount of calories a day and the right amount of certain food groups. If I put my mind to it I think I'll manage, I just hope I stick to it after the first week.

Not to unnecessarily repeat overused phrases, but the thing about eating right is that it's all in the mind Instead of stopping yourself craving the things you want, you have to actually start enjoying and looking forward to eating healthier things. Like Jeice said, if you can learn to appreciate fruits, then you'll stop wanting sweeter stuff. Crappy short-term diets don't work in the long term, you have to permanently change your attitude towards food. If you're serious about losing weight, then you have to think hard about whether you want to change your lifestyle. Some people just enjoy unhealthy food, and for them it outweighs the cost of having to give it up for a healthier body. If you can find a way to balance things though by enjoying yourself and still keeping fit, then you're set.

Sleep is when your body stores the most fat, and if you eat just before sleeping, it will increase weight gained from -anything- you have eaten within the last hour or so.
Also, don't spread out your meals -too- much. I'm sure it's already common knowledge by now, but attempts at self-starvation often result in the body storing excess fat to prepar for oncoming lack of food.
I did not know that. *looks at stomach* (Ha! Biatch! Take that!) No wonder I've porked up...Thank you, Jeice. I'll keep that in mind when I go on a midnight munchie raid. ^_^
Fuck you, Photobucket.

1. You look very good, 18. At least from the picture you showed me.
2. If you wanna go into a diet, the first thing you have to remember is DONT RUSH IT. You just cant go from a normal nurishing routine to a diet over night. I tried that and it didnt work out well.
3. Make sure you organise what and how much you will eat. The official formula is five small meals per day. Also, make sure you rally your family so they will adapt to your system.
4. Work out. You dont have to do it a lot, just do that minimum of half an hour per day. Even a walk is good enough.
5. Dont give up. No diet in the world will help you if you dont persist with it. You have to be mentally strong.
Other then that, I really dont know what to say. Oh and heed no attention to diets in magazines. They dont work

So I joined Curves today. I took the first step, and walked the few blocks to the building and went to my appointment. I had an appointment with another gym a few days ago, I didn't go...I feel bad, but I was, well, scared. Not this time though!
Good thing is they had a thing going on where if you brought in a bag of food for the Food Bank you'll get in free. For new members you get 50% off, so instead of 200 you pay 100, but because of this thing, I got in for 0 dollers! It ends today too, xD. (I still have to pay 41.73 a month, but they're letting me pay on thusday instead of today because I don't have any money right now).
I'm kind of excited. My goal is 25lbs by June, for my trip. I will work out 3 times a week for 30 mins, I can also get a book they have that lists good food plans for each day. There were a lot of people there so it must be good.
My first day is wensday at 2pm ^^ wish me luck.

You should also walk from place to place or get off of the bus a stop early or hunt foxes or swim up niagra falls.
I remember that summer . . .
Good for you, Eighteen! Jog to Regina and bring a pizza, please.

Or simply just use stairs instead of an elevator
