Quote:Originally posted by Majin Buu XD I feel your pain, MB. I'm stupid, too. Try your best to put on your "not-stupid" face, though. Think, "Is this stupid?" if the answer is "yes", it's stupid. If the answer is "no"... well... it's still probably stupid. So, uh... get... chocolates, too? "I wasted time and now time doth waste me."

Roses...but different color ones...don't push the red too hard.
Me. I get my wife white and yellow tipped red and white roses, she loves that. On the card, don't get too romantic, you may scare her off. Shoot for the cute and cuddily...make it make her saw "aww". I'm no expert, but I managed to get married an amazing woman somehow!

Buy her a load of chocolates and stuff for Valentine's day.
If you want to supplicate yourself. I would suggest just being yourself. Don't buy any gifts or presents ('cept maybe like Piccolo said, a funny/lighthearted card), because those will not make the girl like you. She might thank you for the gifts, but if you want an actual relationship with her, she has to like you. The problem about making girls like you is that the more you try, the more they see that you're trying and the less they care. This is where the 'nice guys never get girls' thing comes in. I'm not trying to be a bastard, but ultimately you have to be prepared to let her go. If she sees that you're independent and confident, then she'll like you. If she sees that you've got all your hopes set on this relationship, then she's going to feel pressured and awkward. You get what you don't really care about and the things you really do care about don't care about you. It's ironic, but that's life. =/ ![]() Bra Wrote:People are dumb, essentially.

on the card with the chocolates write: Don't eat these all at once, you'll get really fat, and I won't like you anymore.
So seriously... Chocolates are always good, and write something like "sweets for a girl who couldn't possibly get any sweeter" Something good like that... The classic "do you like me, check yes or no" always works too. another idea just came to me... put a message underneath the chocolates, or possibly a photo of you two together.

As usual, Piccolo is right. Go for the 'awww' factor thingy. And don't do anything that would pressure her too much.
For instance: It may not be a good idea to buy her a red Porsche with 'I Heart You' on the hood.

Sorry to add my shit to this thread but I could use some help >.<
Ok, my ex and I broke up two weeks ago. The reason being my partner needed more time. Time for what I never found out, so that pissed me off and it seemed I was being blocked from the friendship we had as well when we didn?t speak at all for a week. So this ended up in a few arguments as to why I was being ignored. Then I decided that I would just write e-mails like I used to when I first showed an interest. Its been going real awkward, but we are talking it seems. However with V-day coming up do you think I could do something to show that I?m here, still willing to give this a go? Or should I still wait for my partner to come to me? I?m a massive romantic at heart and this kills knowing that because of us both being proud individuals that we cant be happy or make each other happy on v-day just as friends. Argh. Any thoughts? Sorry MB for taking your thread. But with your problem, umm just do flowers and a card, the card make it cute and say a stupid joke from your past. So she gets a smile out of it. Then wait for her to come to you, casue if you come then your pushing to much maybe. You did your part with the gift now let her come to you. Best of luck man, you get em. ~_^

Move to Japan. There the girls give the guys chocolate on valentine's day.
![]() Although I think they have another v-day later in the year, at which the guys need to return something. ![]() Anyway, being yourself is the best. Take her out to a cosy private place where you can talk and just be together. Like a restaurant.

I can't say I know exactly how you feel, MB, but I've got a good guess. I can't really offer any advice on that myself, as I've got a similar problem too.
Don't mean to change the subject either, but yeah, I'm just downright dumb around girls for some reason. I feel so akward and kinda don't like talking about stuff like this online, but could you all give me some help too? I really like this girl at school, I just feel happy whenever I'm around her. I guess we're sorta friends, but I don't know what to do. I guess I'm just really shy or something, but I'm afraid of telling her that I really do like her, I'm afraid of getting shot down. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

<.< This thread needs a woman's touch. I have recieved gifts here and there. If you like a girl, and want her to know, I would give her a flower (or more) and a card. Do NOT say love, but show that you are interested. The ball is in her court after that. If she doesn't talk to you after that, you can ask her if she'd like to go on a date, or take it as her not being interested. (If you want to be romantic and it's in school tape the card and flower to her locker when no one is looking [close to when she'll go to the locker, or give it to one of her teachers to give to her] and make sure your name is in it. That was something I myself always wanted.) If you want to get back with the girl I would suggest a boque(sp?) of flowers and if she's into it most girls love teddy bears. She will see you do care, and it's more of a personal gesture. Stuffed animals usually signify comfort, in my opinion. Chocolates are great, but in my opinion if I recieved chocolates I would see it as "Hey you're my friend here's the typical box of chocolates gift". Chocolates are fattening and typical. If you want to send a message, be classic. Flowers may be typical too, but it's WHAT flower and how many you give, an how it is arranged. Believe it or not be my best gift was a small brown teddy with a single lavender rose. My recent ex gave it to me a few weeks into our relationship and I loved it. ![]() DA08 Winner. "Screw them, this was her show now."
