I know of only one way to change it, thats going to view, and setting it to not being thumb nails. Eg, setting it to tiles.

Other wise, I'ma stumped =(

go to view-> choose details -> the check 'name'.

I honestly looked when I first saw this, and I saw no option under XP about it as a "show name" button like on desktop. I really don't know what to tell you.

Right click on some of them and see if they still have names for one.

I get details at the side. If I access my docs from the desktop its fine. Bah, it happened when I was trying to type in Yahoo but I was typing in the folder. Anything could have happened.

Oh really? You must have alt-keyed something or with shift and hotkeyed something accidently then. What, by chance, was the phrase you were intending to type? It might help me out.

I played with it, at risk of randomly deleting my own My Documents, but yeah, couldn't find anything.
