Essays Suck!

Ok...I have an assignment due...rather soon, and I am fresh out of topics. This is a persuasive essay, meaning that it needs to argue a point. SooO!!!!!! This is where I need help. I need ideas, so I am asking my fellow bretheren to help me out. If you can help me, in return, the idea that I use will earn three free sigs and avatar sets from me in the future. Not much incentive, but all I have to offer for your assistance.

So...if we can start scrounging ideas, that would be sweet.


(Also, if you have references I can use, please post a link to them with your idea/information.)

I got one for ya. Everyone's always telling me how much Bush sucks as President. You should argue that he's doing the best that he can, and that's all anyone can ask of someone else. He's just the President, folks. He's not God, so don't expect him to be perfect.

Just find something your interested in and can be easily bullshitted such as: drawing or writing as therapy.

And a hint...just make up sources. In 13 years of schooling not ONCE have my sources been checked.

I was sorta thinking of doing something about web design, but the thing is, it is such a broad spectrum, it is hard to choose. Programming or layout? content or target audience?

The easiest and best essay I have ever done was a debate between myself and Mustafa Monds from 'Brave New World' over who's civilization was teh best.

I would go for the fact that everyone is always saying that games and TV are making us more violent and dumb. Then argue that many games and TV shows don't.

You just became so much cooler in my eyes, Blue. I may not be a huge fan of Bush, but dammit, the guy's trying. Like you said, he's not God, so people need to stop expecting him to make the world perfect for everyone.

Hmm, topics? I've got a TON of topics you could write about, but a lot of them are political, and then some others are medical, and several "call-to-action" ideas about what the American people need to do in general.

I have an Idea that strays away from politics. You could do a comparison essay.
Basicly you can compare the differences between western and eastern animation, and tell them why there both good in there own way.
Edit: That way it doesn't seem one sided.

I found out that my assignment has four choices for subject...and Web Design is one of those four. =(

You could describe the role of the corporations in politics since through lobbys they rule your country.

The Video Games subject is also a good subject. Video Games are way too often marked as one of the factors for violence.

Hey! You could also describe Sig making! Its origins and such.

You could also desribe the history of computers. You would give Zuse some justification.

Can`t remember anything else for now.
