Important Date Change. Read This

So we don't get too bored waiting another week:

The game will officially begin on the 25th. All the dates in the rules forum will be updated.

This means all 44 contestants will be picked faster up till the 24th. As it stands now, we have 47 people signed up

wow, I'm getting eliminated quick.

I'm going to be in VA for that date, for Memorial Day weekend for a family reunion. I made my plans based around the dates I was given.

Good luck to whoever randomly steps on my spot. I might even get eliminated from collar as I'll be there from Friday till Monday.

The way I see it, if I keep the dates as it was, everyone will lose interest. There is still seven days to the 29th

I was going to be coming back on the 29th or 30th. I'm already requested off for work and have my plans locked in with my family to be at the graveyard on Sunday. And my gf's side as well if we can get to it.

I am for sure that I will be gone this weekend, as per the plans that I made a month ago. Knowing that the date for DA would be well within that, and the fact that I have no long term plans during June. I have the dates off on the schedule and my family is waiting to hear from me. I really doubt people would just "get bored" but I'll just assume that there has already been complaints about waiting or something else. I can't say that I'm very happy with this random change of events, especially when the reasoning is "just because".

Either way, whatever, I'll just let myself get eliminated in the beginning and hopefully I'll luck out and either cut things short with my family (despite already not having enough time to get everything done up there that I wanted) or just hope I randomly make Day 2 off of luck. Who knows. I was looking forward to this.

What does that mean?

No room for interpretation there. It means that I can either change my plans to fit this change of plans, or I can't participate.

Reijin, stop it. You arn't holier then thou. I'm sorry things didn't turn in your favor but I have a better reason then just because. I was told people were getting bored, I asked people and I changed it. You are the ONLY negative response I've gotten thus far. I'm not changing it back just to accomodate you.

I sympathize. I'm sorry it didn't roll in your favor. But what am I supposed to do? Change it back just for one person, and then everyone else is back to doing nothing for 7 days while you're out with family?

I don't see how people could get bored when they're allowed to continue fluid timing all their outside activities. I don't suppose we can still fluid time until the 29th because of the change? =/

I have the same question. Me and the others are trying to finish the quest a quickly as possible before DA, and with this new date change, that is going to be extremely hard to do.

Edit: So could we keep fluid timing unitl the 29th?

I changed it due to popular demand. I didn't just say "hey, let's take five days off!"

Personally, I think it was cool the BJ was allowing us to Fluid time, but he changed the date and what he says goes. The man is in charge of the games, if you don't like that, drop out.

All in all, I'm happy BJ made the change. It'll keep things moving at a good pace, instead of having it stall out then pick back up.

I'd rather go without the change (on the grounds that I was quite enjoying the pre-show, and it's not every month we have a staff saga ), but as it's due to popular demand I'm not gonna debate it. As long as I can still fluid time my outside stuff, I'm happy.

Agreed. And the cool part is, some people see advantage from the inconvenience and those people know who they are. ;-)

IF that happened to be pointed at me...IF...you're wrong. I'm not looking for an easy way out, I'd prefer to fight against the biggest and best, it's the only way to prove that you are the best. Besides, I hate to say it, I'm not exactly that bad, I do believe that even if everyone in the site was to join DA that I'd have a good shot at winning it.

I'm not saying that Reijin is saying that he was pointing is finger at me, but I just wanted to make sure he knew that I'm not looking for a cheep win. I've never rp'ed against him and am looking forward to rp'ing with/against others that I've yet to rp with...besides, it'll make it easy to hunt them down if they have Dragonballs after DA.

I wouldn't mind the date being pushed back again, what with some people being inconvenienced by the new date, but then, yeah, I'm not exactly complaining about the new one either. So long as we have at least one lumberjack cutting down cactuses in the saga, I'm happy.
