Day One: Afternoon
#21
How long does it take these young people to neck, anyways? Kid Buu wondered. He looked in the direction that Super Buu and Violet had disappeared off to and grimaced. Them and their drama, he thought scathingly. He allowed his eyes to drift away from the last location of the vanishing Super Buu and Violet. While they were off dealing with their childish love issues, the rest of the group was stranded. Maybe that was their plan, after all, to run and let Buu and the others take the fall from some unknown force...

He arrested that train of thought and muttered a soft, just audible curse. He was letting himself get worked up into a paranoia, and it wasn't even the end of the first day yet!

It was all that man's doing, Dunhan's, and suddenly his presence in Buu's mind and heart was repulsive. Buu wanted the fat man out of his system, out of his head; human fears had no place in the heart and soul of a puttalin warrior. They were the true immortals, full of limitless powers that never ceased. Violet, and the others, they grew old, they withered, they died, but the Buu's would live on.

His eyes moved over the others in the group as he sat in his rock, a loose sheaf of paper balanced on one knee. He lifted a piece of bark from the ground and incinerated it into charcoal with a sharp blast of ki. He lowered the tip down to the map of the island and began to scribble, marking down danger zones as well as positions. Occasionally one of the group would look over his shoulder and nod or make some comment, but Buu paid them no heed. Map-making for him wasn't so much a philanthropic act for everyone's benefit, but a way to keep him occupied. As he scribbled down the names of the others and marked some off on the copious list, he waited for the others to return...

"Well... someone's out for blood."

Raditzu and 18 had wandered towards all the commotion as Bardock flared up his fists of fury. The poor human he was accosting probably had no idea who she was staring at, or how much trouble she was actually in. Bardock allowed his eyes to dart towards his son for only the briefest of moments when he spoke: the mocking tone had undoubtedly caught him off guard. Whoever she was, Rad's scouter confirmed that she would be less than a problem for Bra and Bar should it come to a fight, so Rad simply shrugged his shoulders and strode towards the lake, motioning for 18 to follow. The androidess jogged a couple of steps to catch up, then the two walked side-by-side to the lake. With a relaxed sigh, Rad dropped to the grassy floor while 18 took a somewhat more graceful approach. There was a moment of silence where the two simply took in the sights, before Rad turned to his better half.

"So... you bought a ship did you?"

"Mhmm. Its a," she paused for a moment to think, "Cete'el Interstellar Cruiser." Another pause. "Or something like that."

"Oh? Did I ever tell you I bought a ship a while back."

"Oh?" her tone was designed to mock her partner's. "No, you never thought to bring that up. Is that where my money's been going?"

"Heh..." Rad tried to look casual, but found himself failing miserably. "Well... what's a ship without some big guns, eh?" He cleared his throat and got back on topic. "Anyway, I put in an order for one last time I was on Mercy -- there was a poster or something like that and they sounded pretty sweet -- and a few days ago I was notified that it had just been completed and was waiting to be picked up."

"I see. What kind of ship was it?" The android picked at blades of grass absent-mindedly.

"Uh... the big kind." Rad laughed at himself. "I don't really remember what its called."

"So," 18 looked up from her grass and caught Rad's eyes, "where did you go?"

"Eh? I went to the Room of Spirit and Time." The saiyan said it so matter-of-factly that 18 wasn't sure how to respond. A second later the saiyan caught himself. "Which I meant to tell you, of course." A lame cover, but its the thought that counts, isn't it?

"Uh-huh." 18 gaze turned back towards the grass.

"No really! I was! It was just... one of those spur-of-the-moment things. You know how that goes."

"I'm certainly learning."

I deserve this... I deserve this...

The long-haired saiyan kept thinking that over and over to himself as 18 cast him an icy glare. He was happy to see, however, that after a moment or two her stare turned to something much warmer. If he played his cards right he might be able to get out of his ever-present dog house. He looked around idly for something to talk about... something that wouldn't get back to him ditching her. When his eyes fell on Bra, however, he was struck with the brilliant idea to do the exact opposite.

"You noticed Bra, right?" Rad hooked his thumb over his shoulder, toward the Princess of his race.

"I guessed as much, but I wasn't sure."

"Heheh... you wouldn't believe what happened in the Room."

"You went with her into the Room of Spirit and Time?" Dog House 1. Raditzu 0.

"Well... yeah, but wait til you hear this."

Raditzu went on to explain their rather mundane trainin sessions, while 18 simply fell back into a routine of nodding. Training wasn't something alien to her. When Rad got to the part about fusion, her interest was peaked, and made for the perfect segue into the part about black magic and dimensional pockets and all that jazz. From there, Rad tried to recall exactly what had happened in Grimshaw's dimension, which was not an easy task. Trying to remember whether a pirate had turned into dasiys or tulips seemed a bit superfluous, but Rad didn't mind. He finally got the part where he had slain the dragon-woman ("Not like she was much of a challenge for someone like me!") and the crystal had been taken back to Grimshaw.

"So then the old man's like 'you must give up part of your life' yadda yadda. Bra agrees and bam she's all grown up by the time we get back to the Room."

"She just...?" Rad nodded, "and poof...?" another nod of confirmation.

"Actually..." Rad hopped up, "I'll be right back. I promise!" He added as 18 glared daggers at him.

With a sudden urge to make this little visit a quick one, Rad strode over to Bra, who had broken away from Bardock's interrogation of the new comer, and greeted her with a wave. Despite the fact that they had been traveling since morning, Rad hadn't had the chance to ask Bra the only question he really wanted to ask. As he approched the girl, he had to wave a hand in front of her face to get her attention; Bra's eyes had been fixed intently upon the lake he had just left. The princess blinked a couple of times as she took in Raditzu.

"Nice view, eh?" Rad looked towards the lake himself.

"Err... yeah. What's up?"

"I just hadn't actually had a chance to ask you about what happened since... you know... you were kind of in a hurry to leave." Though many might consider Bra's current attire indecent, it was certainly several steps above what she had been caught in after she had aged.

"Oh... heh... yeah." Bra suddenly found her boots very interesting.

"So... have you found it yet?"

Bra's eyes darted back up towards Raditzu, but she shook her head.

"Its supposed to be here, right?"

"I guess," she replied with a shrug. "That's what Grimshaw said."

"Hmmm... well... if you need any help, you know where to find me."

"Yeah... thanks."

Rad turned away from Bra with a grin, intending to rejoin 18 by the lake, but was intercepted by his father. Apparently his questioning had grow old. The elder saiyan stopped Rad with a firm clap on his shoulder. The long-haired saiyan sighed and turned towards Bardock with yet another grin.

"What's up, pops?"

"This isn't a picnic, ya know."

"Tch," Rad's grin quickly faded away. "I'm aware of that. However, there's something I have to get squared away first."

"That so?"

"You go into battle with your allies pissed off atcha?" Rad cocked an eyebrow at his father. "Look at our present company, pops." Both Rad and Bardock looked around. The lack of any other Y chromosomes was painfully obvious. "And we both know that hell hath no fury..."

"Yeah, yeah. Fine. But we're not doing ourselves any favors by sitting around here."

"I agree." Rad reached into his pocket and tossed his map to his father. "So find us a better place to sit around."

Pops snatched the map out of the air with a shake of his head. He looked like he had more to say to his son, given the chance, but both saiyans decided now was not the time for it. Regardless of what his father said, Raditzu had brushed 18 aside too many times and, come hell or high water, she would get the attention she deserved. Hopefully, Rad thought, Bardock would be slightly appeased by getting to make the decisions. He doubted it would work, but it was better than just telling him to bugger off. As he approached 18, he wiped all that from his mind and sat back down.

"Now, where were we?"

Goh simply followed behind the behmoth of a warrior known as Yamu in silence. The trouble the man spoke of, chances where he thought Goh knew nothing of what he meant. How wrong was he? He looked down to his hand, the hand that had minutes ago been holding a ki sword ready to kill his so called friend.

The transition from one location to the other in this place was hard to tell, it had smoothly and little else changd. All he could do to register the happening of it was a small beep off of the color around his neck. He turned his head slightly as he let out a deep breath. His eyes danced softly over the land scape as he debated on things. Namely what to do with Hasky if he found her.

One part of him wanted her safe, the other side.. That side wanted her dead, to lay the crushing blow to her life to make it simpler and swifter. To know that he did it not some other bastard of a fighter.

"Gohan." The flat voice of Yamu broke the silence as the hybrid was drawn to the mutant's form, then followed after his gaze. He spotted it just as he did with a quicker method. Somethign was strange thou.. His powers. Normally he would of sensed the person he saw, or at least his LEN's would of activated to register her pressence.

"It's cool." The hybrid moved ahead this time, guiding them towards the female in the distance.

"Friend of yours?" The mutant spoke stiffly, the fact that he knew nothing of the hybrid's past life before his joining of PB made thigns a bit edgey.

"Of sorts.." The hybrid raised his head, clearing his thoart. "Selipa!" His voice called over the grounds, drawing the attention of the female. He couldn't make out her facial features as he drew her attention, but he kept movign towards her as she began a small migration towards them aswell.

"Gohan." The female voice graced the hybrids ears softly as the duo came face to face with the woman. "Whos your friend?"

"Selipa, this is Yamu. Yamu, Selipa." He motioned to each in correct corrispondance, before he turned to look at her fully. "I thought you died.. Back in the tornament.." He felt mentioning that was at least a base to start a conversation off of, but he also kinda feared it, due to the darkness in his mind begging to release the assassin in him.

OOC: Bleh.. Ain't much, but it some thing. Selipa?

?The days seem to slow down, as if time had nothing better to do but play a game with me. Calling my name in the wind as I wait here for the unknown. No longer will I play by its rules and wait for others.?

Spoke the Saiya-jin as she looked to a direction that told her heart to follow, and before long she jumped into the air. Gravity pulling her down, her body in a freefall as a submersion was created upon the planets surface when she landed. Her legs bending under the pressure, however this not slowing her down in anyway.

?God it would help to be able to fly right about now.? Quivered her lips up and down as she discharged in the path she desired. Her speed great, yet nothing to want she had fought against in the past.

Trees, rough terrain all passing by her eyes. Her mind tracing back to when she fought on these lands. She knew that if you moved quickly you would find someone, and she was soon find someone as she wished.

For in the distance could she see figures appearing. Her several hour of search across the lands had resulting in what she wanted.

Edit:
OOC: Dry LoL I was writing this as you posted. Umm my post does not change things much gohan.

"Tapion, come in!"

The sound of his younger brother brought music to his ears. But it was risky. Sure, it looked refreshing, but leaving all their stuff where anybody could take it? Tapion was smarter than that, he grabbed his brother's stuff and walked behind a few large boulders. Behind the boulders he dug a hole in the sand with his hands and put not only his bag, but his brother's bag in the hole and covered it up. He then followed his younger sibling's suit and stripped down to his boxers, revealing small hearts on his boxers and a small stain on the back end.

He forgot that he hadn't changed boxers in awhile and stood behind the boulders nervously while watching his brother. The sibling emerged from the sea and lifted his head, seeing Tapion's head and naked shoulders.

"What're you doing over there? Come on!"

"Erm...I think I will just sunbathe over here!" Came a quick, nervous reply.

"Brother! Come on! Stop being like that. There are fish here, too, we can catch them for more food and I'm hungry!"

There was more arguing of Tapion not wanting to come in but his brother's constant complaining got the better of him. He made sure their items were hid and stepped from behind the boulders, revealing long, lengthy pale legs followed by white boxers with red hearts. He walked akwardly towards the water, wishing he had changed his under garments before Dante's Abyss.

Once the older of the two was close enough to the younger's eyes, the images on the briefs was revealed. Laughter filled the air as the younger konat looked at his brother. Tapion's cheeks changed to a bright red, hiding the paleness from his face.

"Shut up..." He grumbled as he moved forward, at least the younger one hadn't seen the stain in the back.

Tapion moved into the water, lowering himself more as he continued to walk towards his brother. Finally the two were far enough where they were unable to touch the sea floor and were floating.

"Nice boxers bro!"

"Shut up!"

Came his brother as he grabbed his sibling's head and shoved it into the water, dunking him. A chuckle escaped his lips as his brother ascended to the surface. Minoshia broke the surface with a smile on his face and him laughing as he shook his head, the water flying off of his mohawk into Tapion's face. To get back at him, the older of the two smacked at the water and splashed it into Minoshia's face. A couple minutes passed as they continued to play their game.

"So you said there was fish around?" Asked the taller konat.

"Yeah, but I think we scared them away."

"Well let's wait and catch one."

The two agreed as they seperated, slowly moving and patiently waiting. They stalked their prey, waiting for a catch as the cool ocean water relaxed their muscles. Tapion felt better already from his previous fights, now.

Face to Face

Bulma, Olibu and Murasaki

"Ahhh...that's a bit better," Murasaki grinned as he leaned against the counter of the lighthouse. He had seen Metal Koola walk off, and immediately took residence in the tall building. His wounds were still painfully there, but he at least got them covered before they did too much damage.

Without warning, a sound reached his ears. A door opening, and a door closing. He quickly spun around behind the counter, ducking under it.

Footsteps came into the room. His scouter told him the character wasn't much of a threat, but his training had taught him to never underestimate. "Hello?" He heard. A female! "Anyone in here? Tch...guess not. How boring."

The ninja looked at the device on his arm. Deciding it was time to test it out, he pushed the red button in the middle.

Then he lunged out from his hiding spot.

"Agh!" Bulma grunted as an elbow smacked into her spine. "Ahhh! Olibu!" The ninja grabbed her and pulled her close to him, back against his chest, an arm around her neck.

"Bulma?!" Murasaki heard. He looked towards the entrance to the kitchen. A familar blonde warrior appeared, running top speed. "Shit, Bulma!"

"That's far ENOUGH!" The ninja extended an arm, and with the help of the trusty Battle Charger on his arm, blasted a powerful burst of blue energy. Olibu took it full force, and went flying back. His flight was halted by the wall behind him. Some blood fell from Olibu's chest.

Trying to think of a way out of the situation, Bulma's elbow collided with Murasaki's stomach. He realized his hold immediately. "You asshole!" The blue-haired vixen shouted in anger. She spun around, a foot flying into a kick, and collided with the ninja's chin. "Don't ever put your hands on me!"

Mura stumbled to the side in surprise, landing on the floor. He put a hand on his sore jaw, but didn't let up. The ninja was up again in moments, in a fighting stance.

"What? You want more?" Bulma moved into a stance as well. "C'mon!"

Olibu was just getting up from his fallen position. "Bulma, that device on his arm! Be careful!"

"I can handle it!" She told him, arrogantly. It wasn't so much that she was cocky, just very confident in herself.

Olibu closed his eyes just as Bulma threw a punch at Murasaki. He could feel the battle charger pumping his blood and making him that much more stronger and faster. He avoided the punch by turning his head to the left, and put Bulma in a headlock.

With one squeeze, an old ninja technique he had learned ages ago, Bulma's skull shattered between the pressure of his arm and torso. He dropped her, as if it was nothing.

"You're next, Olib--wha?" When he looked up at the blonde, he could a change. The man's muscles had been stretched a bit wider, and he seemed a little taller.

Olibu's eyes open, and he threw his hand forward. "HAAA!"

The Conversion of Strength technique drained him of the power he had accumulated. The single ki shot blasted right into the charged ninja's head, literally causing it to erupt in a show of blood and bone. Murasaki's body fell back against a wall, and then to the ground.

"I got him, Bulma," the man said, stepping forward. He peeked down at her. He could see a slight trickle of blood from her forward. "Bulma? I got him...you can get up now." Still nothing. She didn't move. "Oh God..."

The realization hit the human fighter. He was too late. He had failed his mission. She was gone.

Olibu's got a large gash in his chest, which will cause some serious blood loss unless stitched up. Major injury

?He isn?t who you think he is, anymore, Seventeen. He never was. He used us all. He is an android, like you, Seventeen. He had managed to hide his true form under the guise of a gentle, trusting Namekian. He?s abandoned us all. No longer is he a brother of Civil Unrest. Only a traitor??

The words echoed without end in the depths of the android?s mine?taunting him. Seventeen felt his jaw sag as he attempted to rationalize the situation. Even his central processing unit drew a blank?proving that in the end, even it wasn?t infallible. The machine-hybrid watched, frozen and incoherent as his mind descended into a state of anarchy, as Violet took off. A few moments later, Super Buu started after the woman in an effort to go console her apparently wounded emotional state. Seventeen didn?t care?he couldn?t care. Whatever part of his psyche that was supposed to fell sad at how hurt Violet appeared felt nothing but unbridled rage.

A few feet away, the other members of the ragtag alliance were commentating on the scene playing out before them, but all the android did was stare into the horizon. He could hear words and sounds all around him, but nothing could overpower the hate and confusion that were welling up within his partially robotic form. Maniac thoughts danced around in the cyborg?s head as his vision began to blur. How could Piccolo have been a traitor all along? The sheer thought made absolutely no sense, but from the expression and demeanor in which Violet had relayed her story, the android had to unwillingly accept that couldn?t have been a fabrication. It was that fact alone that was driving Seventeen insane. The machine-hybrid had spent endless months fighting alongside that namekian. Whether they had been fighting the bio-androids, monsters on Kala, or the Red Stallions, Piccolo and he had been all but inseparable. To find out that someone who he considered to be a brother was now a traitor was maddening.

The android turned around slowly, his gaze passing over everyone that was still standing around. How many of them were harboring ulterior motives? How many of these people would end up plunging a dagger into his back when they got the opportune moment? Seventeen took a step away from the group of warriors, clenching both of his bony fingers into two tight fists as the anger billowed up to complement the abundance of distrust. Soon enough, tiny streaks of blood escaped the palms of the android, the blood seeping through his knuckles before plunging toward the ground in saturated drops.

?Seventeen, are you all right?? Sixteen asked, stepping forward and extending a sympathetic hand in the android?s general direction. ?Piccolo?or whatever-?

?Shut the fuck up,? Seventeen uttered, turning a pair of hate-filled eyes toward the hulking android. ?You don?t understand, and you never will. Just leave me the fuck alone,? Sixteen, with the blue, cat-like creature perched on his shoulder, took a step backwards, his expression showing very obviously that he was stunned by the sudden outburst. Seventeen didn?t care?Sixteen couldn?t possibly conceiver what he was going through. No one could. Jackie Chun took a step forward, but the machine-hybrid turned sharply, his crazed gaze halting the old man?s advance.

?You can?t let things like this consume you, young man,? the human derelict uttered. ?It is just something you must face with you head held high. Betrayals happen, but you can never let what others do affect you so harshly,? Seventeen, blocking out whatever the geezer was ranting about, turned away from the stares. A scream?confused, angry, and sad all at the same time?escaped his lips as his hands shot up from his sides, releasing a massive discharge of blue ki the moment they came together. The blast careened into the trees, instantly shattering the first mighty oak that it came in contact with. The fusion between wood and energy was relieving to the weary eyes of the android: In one brilliant moment, the tree and its adjacent brothers disintegrated. The leaves exploded into cinders as the wood crumbled into nothingness beneath the intense heat. At that moment, the cyborg felt the first tears start down his dirtied cheeks.

?Emo, much?? The voice was vaguely familiar, but Seventeen lacked the interest or mental efficiency to apply it to a name or face. The machine-hybrid lowered his blood-stained palms and turned his head in the direction of the sound. His rage had swollen?affecting his vision so that saw nothing but blurred images hued by red. The raven-haired warrior shuddered, a war raging in his mind as insanity fought for prevalence and power. Seventeen could see the tall pink object step toward him, but then it paused, the smaller shape next to it halting its advance. Words were spoken by the individuals around the android, but his cognitive senses were failing?consumed still by the hodgepodge of emotional stress his already weakened mind was enduring.

Then it happened. The coup d'?tat ended and it was insanity?s regime that emerged from the struggling within the android?s head. With one last, pained scream, Seventeen took off, shoving passed the two figures that had emerged from the woods and stampeding into the forest, eyes clenched shut and fists clenched. Branches and thorns cut at the cyborg?s form as he ran, but none of that really meant anything to him anymore. The android couldn?t fathom how someone would spend so much time building respect and trust for someone if they planned to eventually stab that person in the back. Why couldn?t Piccolo have just killed him at the beginning? The namekian had always been stronger then the android, but yet he delayed whatever plans he had in order to make the inevitable defection all too harder upon the cyborg. Piccolo?s plan had worked perfectly, and now nothing made any sense to Seventeen anymore?nothing.

Stopping in his tracks, the machine-hybrid turned his pained, reddened eyes to the canopy above him. The sun was beginning to set and it appeared that twilight was soon approaching. Falling to his knees, the cybernetic warrior ran his hands through his matted helm of ebony hair, his trembling fingers creeping up towards the apex of his cranium. Turning his eyes back toward the skyline?barely visible due to the thickness of the tress?the android screamed.

?About time one of you freaks said something intelligent,? Blue said without turning to face his companions. ?Matter of fact, that was exactly what I said earlier today. Way to rehash an idea and make it your own.? Obviously, he wasn?t in any better of a mood than earlier. The blue-eyed man was still sore about the incident with Koola last night, even more so that he was caught in the first place. ?You?re getting slack, Roy. Too much time around weaklings will do that to you.?

Behind him, Bujin was spouting off some half-baked righteous speech that Blue was doing his best to ignore. The other two seemed to be holding their tongues, for now at least. In his opinion, these people should have their voice boxes removed. Taking a deep breath, Conroy walked over to Bujin casually, cutting off the little alien?s tirade. ?If it?ll shut up you, I?ll play nice with you and your friends. Hell, I?ll even listen to whatcha?ll have to say, if it isn?t retarded. All I ask is that I receive the same in turn. If I can get that, then I?ll cut the insults down to special occasions.?

Suddenly, Blue realized what had happened. Somehow, Bujin had assumed the mantle of leadership for the group, as evidenced by his human companion making bargains with him.. How the little man had done it was beyond Roy?s grasp, and it rubbed him wrong inside.

Shrugging slightly, Bujin replied, ?Sounds fair.? Two simple words, yet something snapped inside Blue when he heard them. They marked the end of his coup to take control of this group. Raising his face to the hot, afternoon sky, the red-haired fighter let loose a howl of rage, and then stormed away from the very perplexed group. The tall changeling cast a look of askance to his friends, wondering if their human member had become insane.
#29
The warrior was glad that somebody took the role of leadership of this strange alliance. Because of the man, Silver, people were going insane. After the designated leader attacked them, they had no leader. They became a group of baffling fools, with no direction or someone to go up to. Koola certainly wasn?t one for leadership or strategy, outside of the battleground.

With their new stealth plan in order, the group was beginning to mash together. But, the changeling had noticed something, they needed some food. They were good at the moment, but to survive, they?ll need a stockpile to constantly move around. He wanted to do something else before that. The human was worrying him, and after the insident with the food, Blue might not of trusted Koola.

?Hey, Roy was it?? The red haired human turned around after the blue alien called out to him. He was a little distrustful of him after he got beaten by the changeling.

?What do you want? I?m not taking anything from you, OK??

?Listen, I?m sorry about what I did, why don?t we call a truce between us? I promise I won?t argue with you if you don?t argue with me. Deal?? The blue fighter held out his tail(He likes to use his tail unless he has to use his own hands. The man roughly sketched the changeling, looking for the slightest hints of betrayal. Seeing none, he grabbed the appendage and shook it.

?I still don?t trust you, or anyone on this team for that mater. You got that??

?Loud and clear.? Koola walked off from the man to the leader of the squad. He had to make it clear that he wanted to hunt alone. But before he could speak, Bujin already spoke up.

?Ah, Koola. Great, I need you to go out and hunt for food and water. We need the food soon if we want to move on continually.? He smiled and turned around without a word. Then, he jumped to a nearby tree branch and went off from the group.

ooc: Koola will be away from the group, but in the same square. RP that he isn?t there

As the purple changeling made his way into the woods, Blue couldn?t help but feel the overwhelming desire to sneak off and do away with annoying being. It?d be easy, and with no one to say otherwise he could play it off on another contestant. Still it?d leave him with one less ally, and in this contest the more friends you had, the better chance you stood of living through it all.

Instead, the red-haired man took the time to practice using his weapon. One would think it?d be a simple thing, just hack and slash. However, his recent clashes against both Silver and Koola have shown that it couldn?t hurt to have a little skill. Time passed slowly and soon Blue grew tired of his solo training. Taking a break, he found that both remaining companions had been watching him the whole time. Apparently, there was little else to do, for the moment.

Walking towards the two men, Blue sat down across from them, forming an awkward circle. ?I guess we?re in this for the long run, so we might as well get to know each other a bit better. I?ll start, to save yall the trouble. My name?s Conroy Blue, from Earth. Not too long ago, I was a high-ranking officer in the Red Ribbon Army, but a little fiasco got me discharged.? Bujin looked about to ask something, so Roy stopped him with a raised hand. ?Let me finish before saying anything.?

?After that, I kinda just drifted through life like what-the-fuck. I stopped looking for work, and even contemplated suicide. Instead, I took up underground fighting, taking my anguish and aggression out on the other fighters.? A slow grin touches the man?s lips as he continues, ?I guess that?s where I got my attitude. Anyway, after hearing about this tournament, I decided it was just what I needed to pull myself from the gutter that was my life. And here I am.? That wasn?t everything, or even close, but Roy felt that those details of his life were best kept secret.

Looking between the two, Blue waited to see who would continue with their own story.

Face to Face

Android 20, Metal Koola, Retane and Toma

The moon was starting to peek from behind it's own horizon, while the sun was still very visible. It shows that the evening of Day One was drawing near. Toma could see it from his position on the open field.

On the other side of the field, two figures walked towards him. One was a namekian, as evident from his green skin. The other was an elder man, probably a human. He recognized name after a few moments, as Android 20. "Twenty," he said with a slight smile. "Good to see you."

"Toma," the man nodded. "And you."

Retane didn't say anything, but he had a finger on his deck of cards, extending one out for easy access. His eyes showed the look of a very active mind. He was already plotting what to do if this new-comer tried anything.

But he wasn't given the chance.

An elbow hit the namekian in the spine, sprawling him forward. Twenty had no time to react, as moments later he was knocked to the side by a sudden smack against his metallic jaw.

"What the he--Agh!" Toma was cut off by something peircing into his gut. He grunted, falling backwards and landing on his ass.

"That was easy," Toma heard. He rolled over onto his knees, struggling to get up.

Appearing out of thin air was one of the fastest men in the universe. Metal Koola's aura shone around him and his machine gun, which he held with both hands. His metallic body was shinier then usual, as if glowing in the sunlight. It was a beautiful, but terrible, sight to behold.

"Boom," Koola said. He pulled the trigger.

"KAIOKEN!" Toma had seconds to react. A burning rage within him blasted outwards, the red aura erupted around his body. His hands shot two powerful red blasts to stop the machine gun eruptions. Some of them escaped, hitting and peircing into his torso. The rest of the shots went around him. One hit Retane, and the other hit Twenty. They both ducked to avoid the rest.

"Give up," was all the changling prince said.

When the smoke cleared, an injured Toma stood in front of his new-found friends, arms outstretched. He bit his lip, clenched his fists and slammed them together. "Saiyans don't give up! Heat Phalanx!"

The Kaioken charged saiyan blasted a fiery ki shot from his palms, which shot towards the changling. Even with his speed, Koola couldn't move fast enough to avoid the full force of the eruption. Once it hit him, the insane heat caused an explosion around him.

Toma stood for what seemed like an eternity, trapped within his Kaioken aura. Behind him, Retane had pulled an reluctant Android Twenty off the field, not wanting to get involved in something that could potentially kill him.

When the smoke cleared, Toma grimaced. Standing tall, just a little charred, was the changling. His gun was outstretched.

Once again, he pulled the trigger. Toma's hands went up again, but too late. The many blasts hit his body, and went out the other side, until he collapsed backwards.

#44 Toma DEAD

Retane and Android 20 both have small wounds in a shoulder. Minor injuries.

The two fingers that were broken on Metal Koola are now melted off. It's still a minor injury, just now it's uncurable (he's stuck with it). Parts of his body are melted only slightly, and charred. These are story wounds, and won't effect the game.

The medical kit is there if MK wants it.

Metal Koola is tired for 24 OOC hours for Transforming

MK glanced over at the corpse on the field, and chuckled. That had been surprisingly easy, for such a powerful opponent. He looked at his gun and gave it a little kiss, "Thanks to you that ended painlessly!"

Though, within moments of saying that, a stinging pain came from his left hand. He lifted it to eye level and marveled as he noticed his left ring and little finger were no longer there. They weren't even broken, they just plain were not visible. The ki blast that had hit him must have simply melted the weakened fingers. It wasn't that much of a problem, but attacking with the left hand was going to be a lot more annoying.

Metal Koola started walking off when he tripped over a box that lay next to the body. Getting up on his feet, he looked at what it was he just fell over. A med kit! Now he could fix his broken fingers... oh wait, no he couldn't. He glanced back down at his injured hand and debated the purpose of taking the kit. The fingers were gone, there wasn't much that the kit could do now. He quickly shrugged off the idiotic thought and picked up the package. Sure, the fingers were gone, but who knows what damage he'd get in the future. This thing would certainly come in handy sometime soon. Placing the med kit in his supply bag, he took off to get out of the field. Someone certainly saw that fight, and he wasn't about to let them attack him at his weakest.

The sun was lowering in its cradle of blue, the colors shooting away from the bright circle painting the sky warm, gentle colors. In the horizon, a dark mass loomed?looked like rain.

Violet sat on a rock next to Supes, head cradled in her hand as she sulked in her newfound misery. Seventeen was hurt beyond consolation, something she didn?t enjoy having on her hands. Why? She questioned herself. Why must I be the fuckup?

The cry tore through the break in the trees, making Violet jump in surprise. The anguish in his voice was a straight shot to her heart, and she grunted in frustration. ?Forget this? I have to go see what?s going on before he ends up doing something stupid.? She moved away from the rock, but Super?s hand shot out, stopping her. He didn?t have to say anything for her to get the message. ?I am not going to hurt myself?don?t worry about that.? She eased her arm away and dashed into the forest.
**

The trees trembled above her as the long shadows fell along the forest floor. A gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, caressing her dirty face with its cool fingers. There was something in the air, something almost feral. As her senses picked up, she could feel Seventeen?s presence without even having to utilize her ki sense, he had a distinct smell about him that, through all the training she had been through, could be picked up, if that person knew what to look for, that is.

It was sort of like cookies and coffee, something that was refreshing, and at the same time, almost nauseating, as if the flavors had been tainted with rotten meat. It was the smell of despair, and she knew she was getting close.

There was the loud, unmistakable thump of a tree as it fell to the dirt just ahead, and the ensuing scream of an anguished man. She really had hurt him?and the feeling burning in the pit of her stomach nudged her onward. Guilt was a great motivator.

?Seventeen?? She nudged away the brush to find the android, his body pulsing with energy so bright, it hurt her eyes. ?Come on?we have to get back to camp. It?s not good being out here all by yourself.?

?Shut. Up.? He seethed, turning his glowing eyes towards her. A shiver coursed down Violet?s spine. She knew she had to get him back to camp before the sun went down, it was too dangerous out here for that.

?No;? She moved up to him, grasping onto his wrist and pulling him towards her. ?Come on.?

He jerked away from her, eyes blazing in fury. She was alone out here with him, and she didn?t know enough about the android to predict his actions. ?WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT??

?I had to, Seventeen. Now come on.?

?NO! Get out of my FACE!?

?That?s it.? She said, patience thinning. Enough emotion for one fucking day. Edging closer, she grabbed him by the cuff of his shirt, the other at the hem of his pants and hoisted the android over her shoulder. He struggled with her, but he didn?t succeed at getting away. With one hand steady on his rump and the other wrapped around his legs, she made her way back to camp, android in tow.

When she was determined, things had a knack of going her way. And that is just how Violet Uzamaki liked it.

The first day on Dante was slowly passing away. The sun had already reached its peak and was now slowly falling down towards the horizon. A gentle breeze was blowing over the treetops. The gentle trickling sound of the nearby stream soothed the ear, at least the ear of the elderly human.
Jackie stood quietly, gazing into the distance. He had thought about everything that has happened. It all went so fast. The sign-up, the transportations, the contacts.....it all just passed quickly. But suddenly, time slowed and returned to its normal stance once again. And at a good time too. As the group was resting and dealing with their personall issues, Chun took his time to look at his wannabe comrades. They were indeed a strange bunch, mixed by race, appearances and actions. However, they seemed preety solid together. And in a group, this is of invaluable worth. The elderly human softly stepped towards the water and looked at his thoughtful expression of his face on the slightly trembling water. He was diffrent from them. He was an experienced, but low-leveled fighter. Would he be able to blend in?
However, his sence of duty also called upon him. Pain and anger was all around him and he felt the need to stay on their side as they are going through this awful stage of their existance. It was his sacred task to help these people no matter what kind of trouble they are facing.
The old man sighed and turned around. The purple woman and the pink alien seemed to slowly return to the camp. At the same moment, the black-haired android could also be heared walking back. While the Turtle Hermit did not know what he would experience with this group, he was certain it would be one to remember.

Face to Face

Android 16, Android 17, Android 18, Bardock, Bra, Gohan, Hasky, Jackie Chun, Kid Buu, Puar, Raditzu, Selipa, Super Buu, Violet, and Yamu

"Goodbye Sunshine..." Raditzu hummed aloud as he led his group away from their former campgrounds, watching the sun sink below the horizon.

The five warriors walked onto a field. With the sun going down, it looked almost poetic. Raditzu and his father led the group, while three females trotted behind them. Things were quiet, for the moment.

"Red, look at that!" Puar squeaked from on top of the android's shoulder. He pointed one of his furry hands at the five on the other side of the field.

Sixteen looked out from behind the tree, where his alliance had chosen to relax. "Shit," he cursed. "Where is everyone?" He looked around. Still, most had gone off.

"What is it?" Someone asked. Sixteen saw Jackie walking up. "Uh oh..." He quickly ducked behind a tree when he saw the five-some moving at them.

"I'll go," they heard suddenly. Kid Buu walked past all three of them after he showed up on the scene, putting the cigerette in his mouth out on the tree. He walked into clear view, right across from the five travelling warriors.

"What are you, stupid?" Sixteen asked, surprised. "Damn..." Since he didn't want the little blob to go alone, he walked out with him. Puar clung onto his shoulder, just in case.

Jackie sighed aloud and followed. "This can't be good."

"Looks like we got someone to pummel, Pops," Raditzu stopped, motioning for the others to stop too. "You want first dibs?"

"Go ahead," Bardock responded, looking serious so the opposing force couldn't see a smile. "Just don't do anything stupid."

"Who...me?" Rad grinned. "Just watch this."

When Raditzu crouched into a launching position, the four fighters walking towards them stopped in defense. His grin got broader as his hair started to brighten. Oh yea...this was gonna be fun. His blood started pumping as his eyes shifted into an icy teal tone.

"Oh shit..." Kid Buu said aloud. "A saiyan."

Quicker then he could blink, Raditzu lept forward. He had an object in one hand, but his other blurred as it quickly shot out several small ki blasts at the four. "Look out!" Sixteen shouted, throwing his bulky arms out in defense. "Duck!"

Rad lept over all four of them, doing a graceul side flip and landing behind them. They had all fallen down from the attack. Jackie was the first up, spinning to face to saiyan. All he met, however, was the wrong end of a gun. "Hi," Rad smiled, "Bye."

When the trigger was pulled, a large, sharp object peirced out of the Nail Gun, cutting into Jackie's head and literally tearing the top of it apart. Blood splattered everywhere.

The calvary arrived just as the others got up. Eighteen collided with Kid Buu, who held his own as much as he could against her power. Bra and Bardock double-teamed Sixteen, causing Puar to jump out of the way.

"The kitty's mine!" Hasky told them all, giving chase to it.

"Uh oh!" Puar yelped, moving as fast as his little kitty paws would let him. He hurried back into the trees.

Just as Hasky entered the tree-filled area, she was forced to dive to the side. A purple blur hurried past her, then a black one.

"Here comes the calvary!" Raditzu said cheerfully. He saw a female figure, fully charged if his scouter was correct. She was glowing a bright, white color, with streaks of purple around her. The most notable, feature, however, was the gruesome looking wings that donned her back. Behind her was a black haired human-looking man, moving equally as fast. "Masenko!"

Violet shot to the left. Seventeen shot to the right. The blast whizzed by them both.

Raditzu cocked the gun, "Let's dance, shall we?"

As the trio began to tango, Sixteen's punch missed Bardock's face, which left his arm open. The saiyan grabbed it and twisted it, causing the arrow wound to strain the android. "Agh!"

"Fire away!" Bardock told the saiyan princess as he held Sixteen close.

That was when the Android realized that the large object Bra had set down was. She pushed the trigger, ending his thoughts. The flame erupted from the device, burning into the face of Red. His mechanics were fried immediately.

"Let's go find Hasky!" Bra told the saiyan.

Kid Buu, despite the power difference, was holding his own against the Android nicely. He backflipped off her chest after a kick, and then spun. When he realized she meant to use her gun, he took off away from her. The shot from the shotgun erupted, hitting him on the left leg. His goo faded immediately, cutting it off.

"Eighteen!" Rad shouted before she could finish the job. She saw him struggling to get an advantage against the two who were double teaming him.

"Duck!" Eighteen aimed the shotgun, and fired.

The shot whizzed over Rad's full head of hair, blasting into Seventeen's stomach. He flew backwards, hitting the ground.

"Seventeen!" Violet shouted. She looked at Eighteen, angrily. "You fucking bitch!"

Violet shot towards Eighteen, her wings extended. Though Eighteen was set to defend herself, Rad literally jumped on the winged girl's back, forcing her down. "Oh, no ya don't!"

In the forest, Hasky's pistol barely missed a fleeing Puar, who was leaping off trees.

That was when, all of a sudden, Puar lept at the girl. "Got yaaaaa!"

The pistol fired. Puar's small little head exploded.

"Boom," Hasky twirled the pistol. "Easy enough.

Without warning, a bright pink blast erupted from her chest. It had come in from her back, and blasted through her vital organs. She paused for a moment, pondering who got her. Then she fell forward.

"Hasky!" Bra shouted as she saw the girl fall. Her and Bardock hurried past the trees and into the small clearing. "Buu!" She gasped. "You did this!?"

"A cheap shot," Bardock noted, anger in his tone.

Buu decided not to speak. He had heard the battle rage, and assumed the worst for his allies out on the field. However, before he could do anything, another person appeared.

Gohan kicked Buu right in the spine, and then landed on his feet. A red, Kaioken aura emitted from his body. "Go help Yamu!" He told Bra and Bardock. "He went to help the others!"

"What?! No, are you crazy?!" Bra moved forward, but Bardock grabbed her.

"You heard him. Come on!" Bardock tugged her back out towards the field.

When Buu got up, he saw the saiyan. "You killed her!" He growled. His eyes were changing colors. Buu could see the gold hair emerging on Gohan. "You'll die, in fifty different ways!"

Behind him, Selipa watched, in a defensive pose. Gohan had told her to stay out of it, but she was ready, in just case.

Out in the field, Violet had just broken away from the beating Raditzu was giving her. The saiyan was so strong, she didn't fool herself into thinking she had a chance. Just as she was ready to make her escape, she saw something. Someone.

Yamu looked big. Picture the Hulk, but white. He stomped across the field, his eyes bulging and his veins ready to explode. Just the way he ran at them made Raditzu say, "Whoa."

Violet backed up, a bit frightened, but not ready to go down without a fight. Just as Yamu drew near, she saw a familar figure tackle him to the side. "Seventeen!" She said, shocked.

No one could hear it, but Eighteen very softly whispered, "I figured my brother wouldn't go down so easily..."

Yamu threw Seventeen to the side like a rag doll. He landed by Kid Buu, who just looked at him. "Pretend you're dead," the childish blob said, "We'll run when Violet comes near." Nodding, Seventeen stopped movement.

In the forest, fists collided. Gohan and Buu made sparks as they struck. Super Saiyan. Spiritken. Two paths to the same destination. Buu's mouth opened, and just like he had done to Hasky, erupted out against the saiyan's chest.

"Damn!" Yamu cursed as Violet flew past him. Normally, one couldn't fly, but with her wings she could glide. She grabbed what she thought were corpses of Kid Buu and Seventeen, and hurried back.

"Boost me up!" Bra shouted as Violet flew towards her. She jumped on Bardock's hands, and then was pushed up. Unfortunetly, Violet simply flew around her.

"Violet!" Super Buu shouted. He was running from an angry, and trigger happy Selipa, who had Hasky's pistol. "Violet!"

"My foot!" Violet shouted. Just as she flew past him, he grabbed on and she carried him off.

Selipa ran back to where Gohan and Hasky were shot. Yamu had Hasky's head on his knee. She was just barely breathing. Raditzu had Eighteen wrapped with one arm as he looked at his fallen nephew, who wasn't breathing. Bardock was kneeling by Gohan's body. Bra was just off to the side, quiet, but a bit spooked by the whole thing.

"This wasn't a battle," Bardock was the one who spoke. "This was a war."

"Yea," Rad agreed. "But we won this one."

"This one," Eighteen echoed. Everyone knew what she meant. Next time, things could be different.

Awkward silence occurred after Blue finished his story. Piccolo Daimoun or Bujin sat silent, digesting the story that they had received from the irked Red Ribbon Soldier. What seemed like days came down to mere seconds as the darker side of Daimoun awaited when he could throw off this little charade, and be independent of such drippy and sentimental moments.

Say something you dumbass! His true side yelled, still irked about being possessed but very concerned about his image to his alliance comrades.

What? The in control half answered, perplexed at what tactical positive could be achieved from sharing his past...

Well, not his past.

Tell them what happened since you got to Earth!

That's stupid, He answered, rolling his eyes with his head on his chest. The other members were starting to wonder what was going on inside his head.

You want their trust?

No.

The one shard of the jade Namekian paused for a short moment before replying,You want their trust so you can brutally murder them?

Heh, yes.

Then earn their damn trust!

Fine, He said in conclusion, lifting his head up. "Sorry boys, I was just thinking about how to phrase this..." He coughed and cleared his throat, winging his idea of how to tell the story of his journeys on Earth.

The 'very condensed, slightly omitted fact' journeys.

"Alright, well, when I got here I basically screwed around for a bit before somebody found me in a dessert. Long story short, we ended up as rivals and then friends when I went straight to hell. Bread?"

The last bit of diplomacy was a useless one, but the elder Namekian broke a loaf of bread in half and handed it to his comrades. Trying to look as sincere and empathetic as possible.

Nice, His other half uttered out quietly in a much dragged out way.

Thank you.

The Afternoon was much the same as the Morning before it. Hot and sticky. Now, though, there weren't any birds twittering about in the trees and such, for which Krillin silently thanked the Kais. Any more of that, and he was sure to go insane, and as he guessed, it was a lot harder to hide while insane than while sane. Krillin was very sane, and Krillin was hiding.

DA had seemed like a gorgeous idea. Bring back memories of old times, the thrill of the competition, adrenaline and all, but he was wrong. It was dirty. Like camping, but more annoying. No bugs, thankfully, but still quite messy and...inconvenient. Yes, that was it. DA was inconvenient. While taking a crap in an inconvenient cathole, it was all too easy for someone to strike at you inconveniently, and said force you to make an inconvenient defense. Krillin did his best to keep his turds together as much as possible. He had the foresight to poop some out before he got teleported, but he was already starting to fill up.

For now, he had decided to stay put. The troubling thing about his surroundings was the heavy blanket of background noise. He couldn't tell if someone was sneaking up on him or if he was, indeed, all alone. He hoped for the later. Obviously, he would very much have liked to meet up with Twenty, but he didn't want to bet on him for a visitor. He'd already been dropped in on by a chainsaw-wielding maniac, and that was enough excitement for one day.

For now, he was simply scoping out a good spot to make camp. With any luck, the rest of the warriors would follow the normal sleeping patterns at night time.

Wistful thinking, of course, but he clung to it as strongly as he could.

"Let go of me!" Android 20 roared furiously, as he was restrained by Retane. "I swear, I'm going to find that metallic bastard and tear him to ribbons!"

"Let it go! It's over, there's nothing more you can do here!" Retane yelled in response to the raging android.

"I know the past can't be changed! But Toma was an ally! You don't just let an ally be killed and then do nothing in response!" the android retorted, finally breaking free of Retane's grip, and bounding forward through the trees.

"Twenty, stop!" the namekian yelled after the android's back, but Twenty was already hurtling forwards through the trees. If he had possessed blood in his veins, it would have likely been boiling. Twenty was a heartless bastard most of the time, but in instances like these, it could be seen that the "emotionless" android wasn't quite so emotionless after all. A dark aura exploding around himself, blasting trees away from him helter-skelter as he bounded through the trees.

Twenty, enough! came the stern commandment of Gero.

You shut it!

No, look at yourself. There's nothing you can do here. Toma's dead, accept that fact, like you told me to accept the deaths of Zarbon and Krillin and Toteppo, and all the others who died before me. That creature who attacked us is simply too powerful. Even with me acting as a lookout, he was upon us before I could even voice a warning. Fight this battle another day. Gero stated to him telepathically.

And you call yourself a "caring" person. You don't even care that Toma is dead, do you? Android 20 spat.

Don't you ever say that again. Do you think that didn't hurt? To see him die right in front of me? Of course it did! I'm human, I possess emotion! You simply want to exact vengeance! Gero exploded ferociously in response. Now let it go! Retane is still back there, and he's an ally, one of the few we have left. Don't let what happened to Toma happen to him as well.

And suddenly, Twenty felt very calm. His rage subsided, and he slowly began to walk back towards Retane, feeling completely unphased. He didn't know why he did, it was inexplicable. He hated having lost his drive for revenge, but he just didn't have the will anymore. Unbeknownst to him, Gero had used his mind to warp his emotional chemistry, and left him in a state of apathy, but the android didn't know this.

"You came back." Retane stated, as the android walked calmly back to where he sat.

"Let's just get going. We're getting out of here. Head away from the setting sun, because darkness is my best friend." Android 20 muttered, thinking of his array of genjutsu-styled attacks.

"Same here." the night-loving namekian answered, grinning slightly, as he stood up, and followed behind the android, who lead the way into the foliage surrounding them.
