Day Two
Noon - 6:00 PM
"High noon, again!
Hello, my warriors! We're almost to the half-way mark on fighters left and we've still got a lot of time left! I'm so proud! Quick little devils, arn't ya?
Here are the unlucky fighters for this update:
#29 Blue
#35 Piccolo Daimoun
#37 Koola
And finally, let's get to the danger zones!
E-2
F-9
I-5
This will probably be the last time three danger zones are announced at once, due to the lack of spaces becoming available.
Good luck, my warriors, see you in time for dinner! 6 PM, sharp!"

"All right," Trunks said. "Hopefully the painkilling effects will last awhile. But at least you won't die now, huh?"
"Heh... yeah... that's one good thing." Eyes half lidded with an almost intoxicated smile on his face as the Saiya-jin pulled himself to sit up showing the limits of his meek disposition. "Hey... sorry about that, guys... should've been more on my feet."
"Shrug it off, least we didn't lose anyone." Trunks said as he replaced what items could be from the medical kit before closing the metal container.
"Any escaped?" Goten had been more curious about the effectiveness of their assault rather then the burning pain in his stomach. From what he could tell there had been two precise kills, one who practically played the redemption spirit of the group, and another...
"One." Over to the left Kami stood examining the blade taken from the halfling.
"Hm." Nodding with acknowledgement, the Saiyan leaned his head forward slightly. "Could be worse... we're still relatively in the clear." There wasn't much to base any source of temporary sanctuary from the tournament's fangs but at least they could remain lightly on the alert. Numbers had their advantages over being unaccompanied at any stage... at least, it held a certain hope.

?Ah,? began the hell fighter, squinting one eye. ?He scanned the fighters in front of him with the sniper rifle in hand. They were about two-hundred meters away, but the rise of the star during dusk and the glow tint of the eyepiece gave him proper light to view the four contestants.
?He watched as most of them were silent. They were just sitting at a tree, with the frostling leaning against it. Blue was lying on the ground, trying to recover form the near fatal shot that Seventeen had rung out earlier. Before that was for games, but now it was time for something serious.
Koola stood up, with a face of discontent plastered over him. It was clear that something was troubling his mind?those who were in the know that this was more than just a statement; it was right on the bull. Seventeen smirked, deciding that this was the time to become serious. He brushed his hand against the trigger, his finger shivering against the cold metal. He scanned to the right to catch up to the fighter, and when the crosshairs pointed towards where his head was going to be, he shot.
The hell fighter did not ready himself for the recoil, for he knew that would throw of his shot, but since he was lying down it was minimalized, and there was not too much in the first place. He adjusted the piece over his eye accordingly and aimed for the tall, green one.
***
Boom. The last gunshot crackled through air as it raced to beat the ki blast to Piccolo Daimoun, but the wave of pure energy was much faster. It struck the head violently, shattering the skull and the muscle tissue in a five-foot radius. No blood was gushing out, for his circulatory system had most likely slowed down pumping when he was knocked to the ground. The Fallen Knight Complex did not pay attention to the brain fragments, even if there was a shard or two on their clothing.
Seventeen?s palms were sweaty from keeping his hands tightly locked onto his weapon. The skin around his eye was sore, but the major thing that was on his mind was the wound that Goten had been given. He packed up his weapon and began running for the first time he had in the tournament. He soon reached the collective group and it appeared that the saiya-jin had been healed. He slowed down as he reached them.
?Are you okay, Goten?? asked the black-haired android.
?He?ll be okay, just give him some time,? replied Kami, looking at the teen?s wound. ?That was some nice shooting, by the way.?
?Thanks,? said Seventeen wearily, ?I just wish I had taken out the namek in time.?
"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl."

As Trunks closed his medical kit, a twirling wisp of dust rose from the ground and entered his nostrils. He snorted against the nasal irritation, sending a burning beacon of pain to his brain. The halfling brought his hand up to his throbbing nose, but that only aggravated the ache further. He immediately retracted his fingers, regretting the reflex move.
"Ah, that's right," he said to himself. "They broke my nose." Trunks looked at the group. "Hold on a second guys, I just need to fix the old snoz."
He reopened the metallic container and retrieved a syringe filled with turquoise liquid. On the side it read 'Rejuvenation Fluid. One injection and any bone or joint is healed.' Trunks mused that it must've been the liquid used with the healing chambers of Vegeta-sei.
Shrugging, the hybrid punctured the already tender skin of his nose, wincing against the sharp sting. He pushed the gel into the injured facial feature and withdrew the needle, placing a cotton bud on top of it instantly. The pain instantly subsided, and although painless, Trunks could feel the unsettling realignment of his nasal bones. He removed the cotton bud and swabbed it with alcohol.
"OK, all done," Trunks confirmed, throwing the closed kit back in his bag and recollecting his ki rifle. He walked beside Goten, asking a question that bothered him since the battle.
"So, when did you become a Super Saiyan?"

"So, when did you become a Super Saiyan?" Trunks asked as he strode up along side the hybrid whom greeted his lavender haired brethren with a light nod.
"Back on Vegita-sei." Goten responded.
"During the rebellion?"
"Yeah. I couldn't have done it without Uub." A nostalgic ring in his voice showed the sort of endearment that the human's selfless act had generated. "We took off for our mission that we had been assigned on at the castle, take out a training barracks or something. Half way through all the personnel are hit with the moonlight and turn ape on us with the entire length of their own barracks."
He chuckled lightly while wiping his lip slightly, not from the irony within the story but as an excuse to swipe the bit of blood still being coughed up on occasion.
"Well as it turns out I was in line for a beating after my tail was cut and Uub practically 'took the bullet for me'... Thing went blurry after that, I woke up and carried us both beaten and bloody back to get sown up back at the palace." This time the chuckle was intentional. "Must be a magnet for physical abuse, huh?"
"You're telling me." The two gave a slight laugh in unison before falling silent again.
"Just like the old days?" Goten glanced over to the hybrid with a smirk as he raised a hand towards Trunks who looked down at the extended palm for a moment... One side of Trunks held no memories for the youngest of the Son warriors, yet the other recognized him instantly even through years upon year?s separation.
"Even better then that." Sharing in Goten's smirk, the Saiya-jin prince clasped hands with the younger hybrid. The duo was complete once again.

"I want something to kill..." the group found themselves muttering at small intervals. Each of them had said it at some point or another, and even the Saibaman had been taking small energy shots at nearby bugs for practice.
He'd heard a loud gunshot nearby, but on further investigation, he'd found nothing of interest. "Where the hell is everyone?" Reijin grumbled. He looked to his King as he walked, by now kicking the dirt in boredom.
Vejita simply shrugged, looking around. "Knowing them, those fools are probably all hiding in one large group from us. It would be just like their kind to attempt for safety in numbers... Fools!" he spat, inciting a line from Metal Koola.
"Can we expect anything less?"
The raven haired youth shrugged. "No, I guess not. Where'd Saiba go?" he asked, suddenly realizing that the green creature had dissappeared. Suddenly a loud cry was heard from the bushes and a small creature leapt out, landing on its rear and scurrying back holding its harm out.
"KEEP IT AWAY!" it screamed.
Reijin looked down to see Saiba growling menacingly at the other small creature, a large M on its forehead. "Who the fuck are you?" he demanded. Feeling in no way threatened, he crossed his arms as a smirk covered his face. "Boys, its time to feed," he chuckled.
The creature jumped up and leaned its back against a tree. "No no no NO!" It pointed wildly to the distance. "Don't kill me! There is another group that just destroyed my entire group! I barely survived! I can possibly lead you to them, for my life!" The creature seemed desperate, and Reijin was unsure suddenly as to whether or not they could trust the creature.
He looked at the others, who simply shrugged. "I say we just kill it and move on," his King predicatably announced. The younger Saiyan shook his head slowly.
"No... Let's bring it along. Perhaps it will benefit us more at the moment. I want the larger group. You never eat the small fish. You attach it to a hook and throw it back to attract the larger fish," he leered evilly.
Bujin swallowed.
"I'm gonna fuck that unicorrrrrn"

They were doing it yet again, talking amongst each other about a past event that the droid had no recollection of. Though it sometimes deemed itself annoying, Thirteen understood that these men had a relationship, one that he could only fathom. Suddenly, something glistened on the ground a few feet from the group of men. Unable to removed his eyes from the object, he crept up on the device and lifted it from the ground. Twirling it through the air, he caught it by it?s hilt and smirked. It was the ki sword that had done some serious damage to the Super Sayajin. Figuring that this would come in handy with his other weapon, the machine-hybrid glanced around the hilt, finding the sabers off button. As the ki dissipated, there was a slight buzzing noise in the sword, perhaps it had been rattled up a bit.
Wanting to rush these guys to finish their chat so they could get a move on, Thirteen decided against it, perhaps this bond would prove helpful throughout the next few hours or even better, days. If they were all willing to die for one another, his chances of survival were greatly increased. Unsure as to how he felt about thinking something so malice as that, the droid found himself wondering if he too would be willing to give the same sacrifice for the team, could he offer his life in exchange for the others to continue on their journey? Thirteen wasn?t sure about it, but one thing he was sure of was that time would only tell.
?Good luck my warriors, see you in time for dinner! 6 PM, sharp!?
Rolling his eyes, Thirteen wondered how a fruit such as Karl Jak could run such a violent and deadly game, weren?t all gay people the pacifist type, then again, he wasn?t doing any killing, just organizing it. Making a mental note to try to kill the bastard if he got the chance, the droid was smiling as he turned back to the group, who all gave him a, ?what the hell?? stare.
?What?? asked Thirteen, his voice raising a bit from the embarrassment, maybe he had been thinking out loud. ?What did I do??
?Thinking out loud?? questioned the newly healed halfling, giving a smirk.
It was just as the droid had feared, the alliance had heard it all, or had that? Hoping and preying, Thirteen asked the most dangerous question he had every come across.
?Erm, what exactly did you hear?? his tone was quieter than he would have liked and his face was turning whiter than usual.
?Karl Jak may be the host of this game, but that?s no reason to kill him.? Contested Kami as he joined in on the conversation. ?The fruit, as you call him, explained the game and you volunteered, so get your panties out of a bunch. This is a game, and I expect you to be fully functional, no side tracking, understand??
More relieved than angered, Thirteen nodded and smirked. His plan was to hang with this bunch and then kill them all, the only thing he could hope on is that they wouldn?t catch on, but then again, something was changing within the droid. A feeling of companionship was beginning to grow inside of him, which in this game was very dangerous. All he could do was hope that his emotions wouldn?t lead him astray. He had a goal, a target if you will. He wanted to be champion of Dante?s Abyss, but there was no room for more than one. In the end all but one must die, he knew this, but the tricky question was, could he do it?

The blade slipped under the skin like butter, the fur pulling away from the muscle as easily as Velcro. She laid it to the side for later use; it would make a great blanket, or pallet at best. She needed some sleep, her hands were jittery, making the cuts on her kill sloppy.
The carcass was a study of muscles and tendons, the lidless eyes staring blankly into the forest. Her knife slipped into the hole of the ribcage, splitting the sternum as she worked it downward. Holding the top half, she folded it open, it?s internal organs showing as they were never meant to in life.
She had said a silent prayer before she began delving into the mass of steaming tissues, ripping them away and tossing them behind the rock. They weren?t needed. She just wanted the meat.
Finally, her job was done, and a perfectly dressed panther lay open on the rock. She was proud of her work.
?Breakfast is making, guys.? A few utterances of disgust echoed behind her, and she snapped back, ?It?s better than fucking bread, so quit bitching.?
Silence, all save for the sounds of flesh detaching from bone, the slippery noise filled that chasm of emptiness. After making several choice cuts, she laid the meat to the side, and picked up the rest of the dead panther and discarded it in the bushes for other creatures to finish off.
The fire was refueled, a makeshift tripod hanging over the low flames especially for the meal. One by one, she hung the chunks of meat over the tripod?s grill, the contact making the food sizzle as it began to cook. The aroma of roasting meat filled the camp, making her stomach howl out its hunger.
Washing her hands with a spare bottle of water, she shook them dry and wiped them against her leg, useless, but it was habit. ?How?s that wound feeling, Seventeen??
The android leaned against an old log, his face twisted in pain. He held it back like a true warrior, though. A little wound like his would never faze her leader. ?I?ll manage.?
She frowned. Blood had begun to seep through her pumice, and if it wasn?t stopped now, he?d surely loose too much blood to be useful to anyone. Right now, they needed all the help they could get, and with their leader injured as he was, the outlook of their making it off this island alive wasn?t looking so good. Walking over to her bag of supplies, she fished around for her old cotton shirt. Pulling it free, she made her way over to her leader and immediately stripped his shirt away, the thin build of his torso and chest was pocked with bruises and scratches, and then the gaping wound ruined the innocent effect of his tanned flesh.
Smacking her lips, she wrapped the shirt around his torso, tying it in the back, effectively covering his wound. Hissing as the stinging pain tore through him, she kissed his forehead in a feeble attempt to comfort the android, fingers lacing through his ebony hair. ?It?ll be over soon, Seventeen. We?ll find something.?
Their breakfast finished quickly, and she diligently set to work at serving her clanmates. They ate in silence, not much enjoying the sweet meat of the panther, but ate anyway, if only for the nourishment.
After the last of the meal was finished, Super Buu spoke.
?It?s time we move again;? he said simply. ?It is likely we will be found if we sit here like idiots.?
?Right.? Seventeen managed through clenched teeth. He tried to get to his feet, but quickly fell back down. He still wasn?t well enough to manage by himself.
The group packed up and extinguished the fire, then set off to their next location, the noon sun quickly taking residence in that zealous sky.
Fuck you, Photobucket.

Kami helped Goten get up to a resting position. "I know you damn young people, always thinking you're invincible. Take it easy for a minute or I'll put a new hole through your chest myself." the old Namekian smirked to further drive home the already heavy presence of sarcasm in his voice. Trunks kept talking with Goten and Garlic was off plucking away on his guitar.
"Play something you know!" Kami said to the little green fellow, who replied with a solid middle finger in the air. The Nameked laughed it off and walked over to 13 who had just finished "thinking out loud".
Kami gave the android a firm pat on the back. "How're you holding up? The arm doesn't look too horrible. Maybe HF could give you a hand if it get's too bad?" Thirteen seemed a little taken aback at the propensity to care the Namek displayed.
"Yeah, I suppose he could, but it should be fine, really." Kami nodded as the android spoke.
"Well, just be sure everything is working right, we need you to be ontop of your game if we ever hope to win this whole thing. Well, at least have it come down to us...makes things more interesting doesn't it?" Kami smiled. He knows how Dante's Abyss works, Karl even said it himself. There would be one winner. He couldn't help but wonder what the rest of his team was thinking, were they going to battle it out to the end and then have a big honorable battle royale with whomever was left, or would he wake up to a ki rifle in the face one morning. Only time will tell.
Kami gave Thirteen another firm pat on the shoulder. "You stick with us, you'll go places." Kami started to walk away, "Besides, I'd hate to have to kill you!" The old Namek laughed again at his own joke. He weilded his sarcasm almost as well as his own blasts of ki.
Thirteen awkwardly laughed along too, knowing full well that he might just have to take on Kami later down the road. Did he know somehow? How could he? Maybe the paranoia was getting to him, but his CPU driven brain quickly dissmissed any thoughts of human emotion like paranoia and tried to think about it totally rationally.
Kami waved Garlic over, who was now in the middle of the chorus to "Smoke on the Water". The little goblin grudgingly obliged and came over towards the Namek. "How's the leg?" Garlic did a quick little jig and went back to playing guitar. "Hahaha, wonderful. Good to know our team is keeping it together...for now."
Kami looked over to Trunks, "So, I say we let Goten rest a a little, then we've got to keep moving. Who knows what kind of trouble the one that got away might stir up."
Kami turned to HF, 13, and Garlic, "That sit well with you guys?" Somehow this band of fighters was doing pretty damn well, all things considered. It made Kami glad he took a vacation from the lookout.

A wry smile crossed his face, which made Bra a little uncomfortable about what she had said.
?Just a courtesy, nothing more,? he shrugged. Then the smile vanished, and his face turned hard. ?No identity of your own? Kind of like being called Kakarotto all the time, isn?t it? And when they look into your eyes, they?re not staring into your soul, because they don?t even see you. They look right past you into the eyes of someone else. You might as well not even exist.?
Silence ensued, and the girl swallowed, eyes wavering. A moment passed to let the words fully sink in.
The roughness of his expression faded. ?Bra it is,? he concluded with a nod of his head. Her discomfort was mitigated, and she gazed at his face once more. ?Listen: whatever is bothering you,? Bar gestured with his chin back to their old campsite, ?you?d better suck it up, woman, ?cause this ain?t the place for that.?
She started to say something, but he interrupted, shaking his head, almost angry. ?No. People die. It hurts. Nothing can change that.?
?I won?t let them die.?
The statement was made with such ferocity that it left the older silent. Bardock clenched his jaw. It?s not as easy as that?
?Then that?s your reason to fight,? he finally replied, his gruff voice a serious tone. ?In this world, in the fighter?s playground, strength is all that matters. Find yours, and you can?t lose. It?s as simple as that.?
She considered the words carefully. How she was doing so, remained a mystery to the male.
?You think too much,? he grumbled, grabbing her forehead with his palm and shaking her head. When he withdrew his hand, he added, ?Just do what comes naturally, and the rest will follow. You?ll be fine.? The saiya-jin smirked, a grin that always seemed to be arrogant.
Giving advice wasn?t really his thing. His general comforting speech was along the lines of, ?suck it up and take it like a man.? Unfortunately, that wasn?t a universal philosophy. Adapting to different people was tough. But it was good practice. This unit needed to be a well-oiled machine. Suddenly, he violently pushed Bra, sending the demi-saiyan stumbling backwards. She glared at him angrily, a little startled as well.
?What the hell did you do that for?!? she growled. Bardock dropped into a ready stance, gesturing for a come on with both hands.
?When life pushes, push back. So come on?push me back,? he dared, almost threateningly.
She needed no second bidding. With a whirlwind of force, she lunged forward and shoved Bardock backwards, sending him slamming into a tree. His back cracked against the wood, splitting the trunk vertically. His teeth clicked sharply. She was a lot stronger than she looked.
Raditzu, seeing the spectacle, called over, ?What?s the matter? Getting beat up, old man??
?Shut up!? Bardock snapped, recovering. He looked back at Bra. ?And that?s all there is to it.?
He adjusted the strap to his duffel. ?I got you covered.? Bardock smiled mischievously. ?Til I have to kill you, that is.?
OOC: Hope I didn't take too many liberties, there, Bra.

Trunks' hand firmly grasped Goten's. He looked up into his eyes. The instant connection, the unspoken friendship that endured years and distance alike consumed him. To the Chibi half of him, it was nothing new, but something still very much treasured. To his Future segment, it was something weird and unusual, seeing as Goten didn't exist in his timeline, but welcomed it just as readily. The amalgamation's thoughts were a mixture. He loved the bond they shared, but it was a sensation he rarely experienced, as Trunks Unified held few friends. It was so hard to comprehend, let alone explain. Maybe one day, he would tell Goten who he really became.
They released their grip, walking side by side in silence, but in much better stead than before. Trunks could see the potential of this group. If he had the opportunity to choose the warriors who he would fight beside in this foresaken tournament, this random assortment of fighters would've been the last combination he ever thought would be successful. Perhaps something good did come out of something so violent and morally devoid. He looked around at each unique member of the group.
Kami, the elder Namekian and current guardian of Earth, had shown tremendous compassion and loyalty to Trunks for no discernable reason, which the halfling found hard to accept. Now that they had spent time together, traveled and battled next to the seasoned warrior, he had a great appreciation for his character. His unprovoked kindness to strangers was something Trunks desired to see more of in other people, and his most admirable quality. Despite his overwhelming power he kept like a dormant volcano, it hadn't affected who he was.
Seventeen, the raven haired android and recently discovered father, reminded Trunks of himself in many ways. He tended to keep to himself, speaking only when he deemed it necessary, and always fortifying the wall most people hit when trying to learn about him. For one reason or another, Trunks could see straight through his defense and witness the true soul of the android. He was a caring person, and threw caution to the wind once he learned of his daughter's existance, chasing the abductors relentlessly. Trunks wanted the android to recognise his goal so badly, he himself would die to give him even a chance to do so. Although he joined Seventeen under selfish pretenses, he was not going to leave until Seventeen's selflessness for his daughter was fulfilled.
Goten, a warrior part of his own creed, was a joy to be around. He brought out the easy, relaxed persona of Trunks. Sharing a history spanning further than Trunks dared to recall, they played together as children, and still to this day, were united. Not only so, but they shared the same affinity for battle, and the same craving for it. It would take death to separate them, Trunks mused.
Android 13... well, Android 13...
"Hmm," Trunks murmured to himself. He realised he barely knew anything about the silver haired android of the alliance. All he truly acquired about him was that he was an efficient fighter. The same went for the pint sized Garlic Junior. Perhaps Trunks should be a reflector of Kami's friendliess. By getting to know them, Trunks could experience a similar relationship he held with the other three.
"Talk to you later," Trunks winked to Goten, who smirked back. The fused halfling broke his stride and readjusted his pace to match Thirteen's. A small amount of broken circuitry was evident from the injury he sustained during battle, but it hardly seemed to phase the android.
Trunks shoved his hands into the pockets in his jacket. "So, how's it going?" he asked in his most casual voice, hoping to strike a conversation with him.

Buu walked on, his stride unrelenting. A deep scowl was spread across his features, making obvious his discontent.
?Slow down, Supes!?
The golem of puttalin rounded on the person that had called out his name, and opened his mouth even before he had registered that it was Violet. ?Why don?t you speed up?? he retorted, crossing his arms as if he were a child being refused candy.
?Not everyone walks as fast as you,? the woman hissed. ?There are kids here, one of which is injured, not to mention Seventeen who has a shotgun wound, if you?d forgotten!?
Buu spat on the ground violently. ?I?m not getting killed because we waited thirty minutes for someone else to catch up!? He jabbed a finger at himself, continuing. ?I didn?t join this contest to play babysitter for sick and injured people!?
The whole group was paying attention now. Seventeen, who was being propped up by Violet, looked too pained to care - and in any case, he blamed himself for his injuries. Kid Buu wore a weary look of exasperation, as if he had come to expect this kind of drama from his older counterpart. Minoshia, and Tapion - the new additions to the group - had mainly kept themselves to themselves for the journey thus far, and now watched with detached interest to see how this scenario would play out.
?Are you saying you would value your own life over your alliance?!? asked Violet, her eyebrows arching downwards.
?All I?m saying is that we haven?t been in a single fight all day, and I?m bored,? explained Super Buu wistfully, as if his position was one to be pitied.
?That?s a good thing,? snarled the purple-haired human. ?We don?t want to run in any more super-powered warriors.?
?But if we find them first, we?ll have an advantage!? The hulking majin, as always, looked convinced of his own strategy. ?And that?s a good thing, right??
?Fine, then. If that?s what you want, you on ahead by yourself.? Violet composed herself, taking a deep breath. ?But at this point in the game, everyone still alive is in a group. If you walk off now, you?ll just be ambushed by some bigger, more powerful band of fighters and you?ll be killed the same way the others were.? And then her voice broke. ?And I don?t think I could handle losing you as well.?
?Eh ?? Buu looked severely uncomfortable, as if he?d just walked into a bathroom stall to find two men kissing. He scratched his head apologetically and backed out of that stall. ?Don?t worry about it ? let?s just keep going.? He turned off in the direction they were going and started walking again - albeit this time, much slower.

With a 'whoo' of nothing but pure energy, Raditzu leapt to his feet. Most payed him little attention, but a couple of his makeshift teammates shot him an awkward glare. The rest he had gotten had been more than a little refreshing. The bizarre drain that he had been feeling as a result of his ascension had long since abandoned him and he was back to being in tip top, which he was happy to display with a quick series of jabs and kicks. It was about that time that he heard an announcement from no less than their host. The blarring voice caught Raditzu completely off-guard and the warrior snapped into a defensive stance, dropping the bag he had just picked up. About halfway through the announcement, Rad allowed his guard to slack. Looking around, he realzed that he was the only one who had reacted as such.
"What's your problem?" 18 cocked an eyebrow in his direction.
"What's with the random announcement?" Rad looked around for the speakers that had conveyed the host's message, but failed to find any.
"Random? He's been doing that every six hours since the tournament started." 18 simply shook her head.
"Eh?" Raditzu screwed up his face in thought, trying to remember any such announcements. This was the first one he had actually heard. The saiyan shrugged.
The announcement that had startled him, however, had come six hours previously. This time, when the announcement came, the saiya-jin was most definitely not ready for it. Once again Raditzu was startled by the sudden upsurge of noise. With blazing speed, he whirled around, drew his nailgun and pointed it viciously at the first thing he saw move. This just so happened to be a very surprised Bra. She slapped the gun out of her face with such force that Rad was afraid she would break it.
"Are you insane?!" the teen shook her head and pushed past the long-haired wonder.
"Well... probably, to one degree or another," Rad's voice was whispy as he considered the asnwer to her question; with a shake of his head, his tone changed to one of annoyance, "but that's no reason to go breaking my gun!"
Bra acknowledged the statement only by throwing a particularly rude hand gesture over her shoulder and continuing on to their next destination. Not that anyone actually knew where their next destination was, but it certainly wasn't where they currently were. The forest had become a kind of swamp, and no one was very happy about it. Trudging through muddy... gunk... wasn't anyone's idea of a good time. Aside from Bardock and Bra, everyone broke through the edge of the swamp at roughly the same time, and everyone's gaze slowly shifted upwards. They had just emerged at the base a of mountain. With a grin, Rad checked to make sure his bag was securely over his shoulder.
"This should be fun..."
Before anyone could say so much as "eh" the long-haired saiyan had taken off. He shot up the mountain in a series of short, aimed leaps. He would come to rest on a boulder, or smooth patch of dirt, turn, then take off for the next place of decent footing. It was several leaps before he realized no one else was following. With a wave, he motioned for the others to follow before taking off again. Without saying much of anything, Bardock secured his bag, as his son had done, then vaulted up the mountain. The others soon followed suit, and the entire group made their way up the mountain in a surprisingly short amount of time. At the top, they decided to take a short break to grab some food and drink. There was a quiet rustling as everyone dug through their bags. As Raditzu was finishing his loaf of bread, he looked over to see Bardock being thrown into one of the sparse trees that dotted the mountaintop.
?What?s the matter? Getting beat up, old man??
?Shut up!? Bardock snapped as he pulled himself back to his feet.
The saiyan's son couldn't help but snicker at the sight. He had, like most others, probably underestimated Bra's strength. Who wouldn't? At first glance she was nothing more than another girl. Rad idly looked around the resting spot and noticed that that applied to over half their group. 18, Hasky, and Selipa all looked as though they were nothing more than ordinary women, and yet they were some of the last people Rad would want to meet in a dark alley. Ok... part of him wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley. The other part... well... that was neither here nor there. As it was, sitting at the top of a mountain was probably not the wisest idea. Once again securing his bag over his side, Rad approached his father.
"Let's get going, pops. We prolly shouldn't hang 'round here too long. Know what I mean?"
"Hmmm..." Bardock looked around the mountaintop, "yeah. Where we going?"
"How about... that way!" Raditzu pointed in what appeared to be a perfectly fine direction.
Bardock simply shrugged and withdrew his compass and map. After a brief check, the saiyan elder saw no problem with that particular course of action, which Raditzu was a little too happy to hear. Before Bardock could so much as finish folding up his map, Raditzu had taken off. With a running start, the bulky saiyan warrior had taken a mighty leap from the mountain top, his mane of hair trailing behind him like some kind of bizarre cape. Everyone else simply watched and waited. It took several seconds before they heard a loud crash and, with a collective head shake, made their way down the mountain.

The human girl was now feeling much better, although still injured and frail she was able to gather the strength to thank the Saiya-jin. Selipa although not breaking out into huge conversation with the human she acknowledged what she had said by a small gesture.
Now was the point of reflection as Yamu helped Hasky and the Saiya-jin walked slightly ahead of the group. Had she done the right thing? She didn?t seem to think as she assisted the human with her medical kit. As she looked upon the injured girl her hand moved at its own will, something deeper inside her controlling her movement.
What was the force, she knew not, that made her do such a deed? She had always hated humans the most out of all the beings placed in the heavily stars of the cosmos. In her past the human race always seemed to be the core of some kind of evil yet now she found herself helping one. A weak, pathetic human.
?Selipa?I wish to offer you something as a sign of gratitude and respect.? The female fighter eyes him suspiciously as he procured a small amount of the group?s water. ?When I was a gladiator we has a warrior from Garunth IX be captured. We talked for nights about his people and home world until I was forced to kill him in the Pits. When they went to battle they had a ritual that they had inherited form when they were primitive cannibals. They thought that by sharing a piece of themselves, they would share each other?s power.?
Her thoughts broken apart by the words of the mutant Yamu. Her gaze no longer endless but placed upon his eyes. His deep dark eyes as he expressed gratitude towards her. However as he spoke could she not help but think. Had she changed? Was she opening up to people, but why, merely why with a human and as Yamu spoke to her did it not help. His words where so strong, the might of his life, his past moving her inner being. His actions, passionate, as he preformed the ritual.
The Saiya-jin found such honour and grace in the proceedings as soon did she find three of her own crimson red blood drops descending to the cap and at that point did her eyes grow wide. The answer had come to her, the reason to her uncontrollable actions.
Slowly did her lips part and shift ?I love a human.? Whispered ever so low the sounds of her discovery. Her mind darting to a memory of the Hellfigher machine. She found herself no longer hating humans, or holding anything against them
Her sight once more now focousing on the cap as the next move was that of the mutant. There was no stepping back from what was going to happen, with an open mind and heart she valued the mutants actions as a friend for all periods in the worst of times and the best.

"Soups."
The other, taller majin turned to face him, an irritated but resigned look on his face. "Eh? What the Hell is it, Kibbles?"
'Kibbles' gritted his teeth and chose not to respond to his slave name, as they would have called it centuries ago. Instead, he ignored the name-calling and continued on. "Never mind," he grumbled, picking up the pace. The foliage was not so thick in this particular area, so using his two arm-legs was easier. He was getting rather proficient at using them. Hovering a foot off the ground, his arms worked like tentacles, pulling and pushing him forward.
Soups chuckled/snickered a few times before catching up to him. "Heh, wait a minute. I've been meaning to ask you something, Kibbles." He glanced at Kid Buu before continuing. "This fat guy, Dunham-"
"Dunhan," he snarled. "Why is this so hard to get for all of you? Just because he's fat doesn't mean -"
"- you absorbed him, right?" Soups continued over him. He frowned and scratched at his cheek with one finger. "And your power doubled? That doesn't make any fucking sense."
Kid Buu shot him another look. "That's not how the absorb stuff works!" Super explained. "If anything, taking in that fat bastard should have made you weaker than you were before, not stronger. It doesn't make any sense for you to have, like, doubled." He waved his hand dismissively, looking at his younger appearing counterpart's pained expression. "Eh? What the Hell's the matter with you?"
"Nothing," Kid muttered, shouldering his pack with his upper set of arms. The fact that Super Buu, a later product, an impure puttalin creation knew more about the secrets of their bodies than he himself did irritated him to no fathomable end. "Look, ah," he started after a few moment's awkward silence, trying to make himself appear more genial - he didn't want to be the first target when people started backstabbing. "Do you ever, I don't know, dream?"
"Dream?" Soups frown deepened into a puzzled scowl. "You sure you didn't lose too much blood, Kibbles?"
Truth be told his missing leg did hurt, but not enough to cause hallucinations. "Yes, I'm sure," he replied tartly. "It's just that I had the strangest dream while I was sleeping last night." He reached into the waist of his pants and pulled out his packet of cigarettes. He was running low. He took one and replaced the plastic wrapped box of deathsticks, lighting his with a flicker of ki from his finger. "Floating, you know, in space. All alone, except for this weird voice. He almost sounded familiar... The sun did too - not this one - it was blue." He puffed out a small plume of smoke. "... Do you ever hear voices in your dreams?"
Super Buu gave him a weird look, almost... Concerned. "Have you been drinking again, Kibbles?" He growled.
"Only a little bit... Forget it," he said, seeing that Soups was going to be about as understanding a brother as a drunk was sober. "Forget I said anything."

Walk, walk, walk, it?s all they ever did. The scenery was as green and beautiful as ever, but still, all this walking was starting to wear thin on the droids nerves. He wanted so badly to tear someone limb from limb and use their head as a soccer ball. Wondering if he would ever get a chance to, Thirteen closed his eyes for a moment, just to calm his fragile mind. The sound of a man broke into his consciousness and startled him awake.
?So, how?s it going??
Opening his eyes and turning his head, he spotted the fused Sayajin standing right next to him, hands in his pocket and a smile on his face. Unsure as to where this man was heading with the conversation, Thirteen decided to engage in the conversation, so long as it didn?t probe too much.
?Not bad.? replied the droid as a smile crept up his face. ?It?s only a minor wound, won?t slow me down a bit. A tough bunch of them, weren?t they? And how about that little rascal that got away, think we?ll ever see him again??
Trunks nodded. He had no doubt in his mind that the escapee from their last attack would return with a vengeance, one that he could only hope would prove his own stupidity and nothing more. Thirteen on the other hand, knew that the would return, though he probably wouldn?t come back alone, not with the location of a mass of people, no. He would most likely find another alliance or rally up a group of stragglers and sway them to attack him and his alliance. He was completely ok with this scenario, in the end only one thing would be proved, either that he needed more training, or he had reached new levels of power, one that he himself hadn?t fathomed.
?Yeah, it?s a shame we couldn?t finish him off too, would have saved us time in the long run.? Trunks finally came back. ?We?ll just have to make sure that we fix our mistakes, you know? When we fought Goku, we went overboard, then we didn?t do enough when we faced that alliance the first time, and it would seem as if we had just barely underestimated them for the second time.?
The hybrid looked out into the distance and Thirteen began to ponder if Trunks had taken the failure to heart. For the first time in a very long time, compassion found it?s way into the androids mind.
?Hey, don?t worry about it.? Thirteen smiled. ?It happens, we all underestimated them, we figured that we would go in there and come out with a clean sweep, but you know what, we didn?t, oh well. We?ve learned from these three brawls, now we?ll be ready when the bigger powers come. We?ve formed a pretty tight knit alliance thus far and as far as I can tell, you and Kami make great leaders and believe you me, I?ve met quite a few people in power and none of them have the compassion and drive that you two display.?
Trunks went to reply, but before he could, there was a snap of a twig in the woods. Instinctively, Thirteen grabbed onto the lavender haired man and pushed him to the side. The air around the droids hand crackled as the energy gathered into a sphere. Thrusting his open palm forward, a ball of charged ki shot into the woods and struck something which made a shill noise, then it collapsed. Gathering his breathing and nerves, the android turned and saw that his whole alliance had frozen in their places, they couldn?t take their eyes off of the trees.
Taking a few steps into the brush, Thirteen spotted his kill. Smiling as he bent over and lifted it by it?s legs, the android turned around and held it in the air, he had killed a chicken.
?Guess we?ll save this for a little bit later huh?? Asked the android as he stuffed it into his bag and returned next to Trunks? side.
Thirteen didn?t realize it at the moment, but had that have been an attack, he would have saved Trunks? life.

Drama had once again managed to temporarily inhibit the group?s progress in the form of another spat between Super Buu and Violet. Seventeen snickered slightly?he had only been with the two of them for a little over thirty-six hours and already could deduce that there had to be something between them. Positive or negative, the two had spent a lot of the time that the android had been conscious bickering like an aged married couple. The quarrel the two had was short-lived, and soon enough, Super Buu turned around and cavorted on over to his bit-sized counterpart. The cyborg, who had opted to walk on his own instead of inhibiting Violet, continued to hobble forward at a steady pace?not wanting to lag the group behind as they trekked onward.
Slowly but surely, the android knew that something ominous was looming on the horizon. With the number of danger zones increasing at a scary pace, it was only a matter of time before Civil Unrest would be caught in another encounter. Seventeen glanced over the warriors who were in front and beside him. All of them were unique in some way, shape, or form, but that didn?t mean all of them would be able to stand their own. With the addition of Minoshia and his brother, however, the cyborg felt slightly relieved. The android recalled the terrifying statistics he got when he first encountered the younger Konat, so Seventeen could do nothing but be relieved that the two had agreed to wander with his allies and him.
Goku Junior, the tiny saiya-jin youth that the machine-hybrid had taught how to fight and fly back on Earth, was prancing around up ahead. He still had that youthful, childish attitude that made everything seem like some type of game. On the other hand, the cyborg had never really taken the time to analyze the kid?s nature, so it was quite possible he was covering up his underlying fear by trying to lighten the mood. Seventeen sighed?Violet had bandaged his wound once again, and it was still bleeding slightly. Even worse, the sun that had been glaring down upon them the last few hours was slowly starting to set. Small fingers of purple?the first signs of twilight were beginning to creep over the horizon. Their presence meant that the second day of Dante?s Abyss would soon be drawing to what seemed to be an anticlimactic conclusion. Seventeen sighed once again when he realized that he shouldn?t think thoughts like that in the event that the group fell under siege later in the evening.
With the rocket launcher slung of his shoulder, the raven-haired warrior fed of a small burst of adrenaline and skipped a few steps forward. The sudden burst allowed him to catch up the largest concentration of people in the traveling party. Violet, Kid Buu, and Super Buu all turned back and glanced at the man for a slight moment before turning their eyes back to the path in front of them.
?So all this walking sure is fun,? the taller of the two pink monsters grumbled. Seventeen smiled slightly, his mind finding it somewhat funny how the bubblegum-colored golem could still be in the mood for a fight after what had happened yesterday. Then again, the cyborg had come to accept the magical entity as being someone who seemed to crave fighting and action at every turn. It wasn?t the healthiest of addictions, but the android knew completely that Buu was capable of handling himself. After all, the Majin had breezed through Lord Vine?s training in a rather short period of time, and Seventeen had yet to even start his official tutelage. With a sigh, the machine-hybrid turned back to Goku Junior and smiled faintly.
?Enjoying yourself, kiddo??

The chicken dangled back and forth, reflected in Garlic?s red tinged eyes. Red, because he was a twitch away from transforming. That fowl pendulum would taste so much sweeter if only it was Bujin. Twice he had escaped, and there was still a slight twinge of pain in his thigh, a reminder of what the tiny bastard had done. It was official, the little man was set on the same ashen pedestal as Tapion.
?Too bad,? Garlic snarled, ?our newfound meal there wasn?t that little man who escaped.?
?I?ll take a chicken over some green dude any day,? Goten laughed with a quick pat on Garlic?s head. The sayain quickly grimaced, as if he?d rather not overwork his lungs at the moment. Even a medpack can?t heal a sword through the chest without some lasting ill effects. Although it didn?t slow down Saiyan stomachs it seemed.
?Mmm. Well one chicken and what bread is left wont last us long. I?d say if we don?t get some serious nummies by tomorrow ?? Goten snorted suddenly.
?Did you say ?nummies???
?Well I, uh? I guess.? Garlic?s cheeks took on a purplish tinge as he looked elsewhere. Can?t a Goblin have one serious conversation?
?I?m not ten anymore midge.? Goten?s grin was still the same though, GJ noted. Mischievous. Like his own. No matter how embarrassing it was, and how much nerve-numbing torture it would take to get him to spit the words, he really did like the kid.
?You got a couple decades before you earn big boy words around me, Sport.? Goten looked down his nose at the strutting demon and chuckled. He saw him take the neck and base of his guitar and snap them together. A wince was awarded when Garlic tried a complex tune and let the notes fall flat.
?Maybe you should have practiced your music in those decades you have over me, eh??
?Like you could do any better?? The goblin strummed one long finger nail down the strings and began humming the proper tune.

Face to Face
Android 13, Bujin, Garlic Jr, Hellfighter 17, Kami, Metal Koola, Reijin, Trunks, and Vegeta
Hellfighter 17 kept himself in place as he laid down over the unusually tall hill. He kept a finger on the trigger, one eye glaring through the crosshairs. The heat of the moment sent a shiver down his spine. He was loving it.
"Stop," Reijin said suddenly. He could feel something wrong. Normally, he or his saiyan friend were complaining about boredom. But there was nothing to be bored about now. "Something doesn't feel right."
Vegeta and Metal Koola stopped behind him. While neither felt anything strange, they weren't going to disagree given the situation. "What is it?" The saiyan King asked.
Before Rei could respond, an answer appeared. A super saiyan led the group, his eyes sparkling in the setting sun. Behind him, a muscled namekian and Hulk-sized goblin. "We've got company!" Reijin announced.
Vegeta gripped his scythe, but didn't move. "Trunks?"
The leader of the trio stopped moving. "Father?"
"Allow me," the metallic changling pushed past the two saiyans, raising up his machine gun. Before Vegeta could stop him, Metal Koola pulled the trigger.
So did Hellfighter.
When Kami, Trunks and Garlic all ducked to avoid getting shot up, Metal Koola's head reared backwards. His entire body dropped to the ground with a loud, metallic clang. A small, clean, bullet wound was left in his forehead.
"Shit!" Was the first thing Reijin said. He grabbed the gun of Metal Koola, raising it up at Trunks, Kami, and Garlic. "You, get the sniper!" The saiyan pointed at Bujin, then at where they heard the bullet come from.
Not needing to be told twice, Bujin ran off, happy to be away from them.
"Don't Reijn!" Vegeta jumped at his friend to get him to put the gun down. "That's my son!"
"It's a competition, Vegeta!" Reijin argued.
Trunks suddenly jumped forward. "Come on!"
"Right behind ya!" Kami shouted, following. Garlic and the namek ran full speed.
Super Saiyan Trunks suddenly slammed a fist onto Reijn's chin, forcing him back. Vegeta's elbow met Trunks' gut, not wanting to kill but at least keep him back.
Reijin and Trunks backed up. "This should be fun," Garlic noted sarcastically.
Vegeta held his scythe close. Reijin put a hand on Saiba's head to keep him still. The two began to emit small yellow auras...it was time. Super Saiyan time.
Up on the hill, Hellfighter grinned. He had Reijin right in his crosshairs.
"This is for my friends, asshole." He heard. Thinking quick, he rolled over and pointed his rifle backwards at Bujin, who somehow snuck past him. He pulled the trigger immediately, pericing into the little creatures neck, but not before Bujin brought the Giant Hammer down upon him. His head was brushed under the pressure.
Bujin fell backwards before he could grab the rifle, rolling down the other side of the hill, just barely clinging to life. He grabbed a rock, holding onto it so he wouldn't fall anymore. The air very slowly was drained from him. He began to climb.
Down at the battle, Super Saiyan Vegeta clashed his scythe with Ultra Namek Kami's shield. Kami brought his elbow up and smashed into the saiyan's chest.
Reijin headbutted Trunks into his already-busted nose, making the boy howl in pain. He fell back, raising up the gun. Reijin unleashed another surge of power, hand raised up. He hit Trunks in the chest, forcing him backwards.
The newly transformed SSJ2 Reijin flicked his hand, letting the useless baseball cap hit the mean goblin in the forehead, which bounced off. "What the--?" Garlic growled, "A hat?"
Reijin raised up his machine gun. "A distraction."
Before Garlic could utter a curse word, Rei pulled the trigger.
While the corpse hit the ground, Kami forcefully kicked Vegeta backwards. Reijin spun and opened fire on Kami, who ducked before taking too much.
Reijin kept the gun raised as he grabbed Vegeta and backed up, preparing to retreat.
The two hit someone who stood behind them. They turned to see Android Thirteen, hands over his chest. On his finger, a single gold ring.
Vegeta threw a punch. Thirteen caught it. He was faster, stronger, more agile. All because one little peice of jewelry. The android twisted the wrist.
"Agh!" The saiyan King grunted as he landed about fifty meters away. Reijin landed hard, right after him. Saiba landed on his head. "Damn!"
Thirteen moved towards them again, grinning. He was absolutely loving the new power. He raised up his hand, ready to kill them both. Even as Super Saiyan 2, Reijin couldn't do much in the current state.
With his last ounce of life, Bujin pulled the trigger of the sniper rifle. Android Thirteen's stomach blasted open, and then a small hole in his back where the bullet escaped.
"Now!" Reijin shouted. He grabbed his friend and pulled him up, who quickly followed. Saiba stuck his tongue childishly out at the remaining FKC members before running with them. The two loved fighting, but not dying, so it was time to retreat.

How Bra had managed to avoid breaking Bardock?s jaw throughout his ridiculous lecture was as much a mystery to her as it must have been to any onlookers. It was no wonder, then, when encouraged to push the coal eyed saiyan, that the princess capitalized on the chance to make him hurt. The tree he collided with splintered and cracked under the impact, eliciting a dark smirk from the cyan haired girl. She hoped it was agonizing.
Still, Bardock?s words hit the girl hard. It was as though he said everything with an air of experience, of expertise, as though he always knew exactly what was going on everywhere at any possible instance.
Always right. Except for one thing. Bra wouldn?t let her friends die. Not again. All she wanted to do in this horrid tournament was search for an object, but, of course, there had to be an obstacle in her way. Now she had to worry about her friends and family, and her own life, just to find some damned object that might as well have been in the center of the sun.
The hybrid watched Bardock move up to converse with his son, and began to dwell on his veiled threat. ?You?ll never get the chance.? with that, Bra formed a kienzan dagger and hurled it through a tree, which toppled over with a mighty crash, as if to punctuate her unheard retort.
?What the fu-? the heiress watched as Raditzu leapt off the edge of the mountain. A long moment of silence passed, followed by an excruciating-sounding crash. Bra shook her head. ?Tch,? she froze, eyes wide. ? Fuck!!? she cursed, realizing what she had just said.
The time she?d spent inside the Room of Spirit and Time had been extensive, but the girl sincerely hoped he hadn?t made any sort of mental impact on her. Growling at her own mistake, Bra trotted up to the edge with everyone else.
?Hey,? she greeted, catching the blond android?s attention. The woman still had that radiant glow about her. ?You sure he?s not... like-? the halfling quickly stopped herself; asking if Raditzu was mentally challenged didn?t seem like the most polite course of action. ?So, like... ugh... forget it.?
Bra simply charged down the side of the mountain, leaving the others behind and rapidly catching up to Raditzu, who had occupied himself with what appeared to be a scorpion. The young empress came to a halt beside him, still having to crane her neck to look at the warrior.
?The hell?re you doing?? she demanded. Raditzu looked back down at her and flashed his trademark, idiotic grin.
?He looks like he?s trying to block the way.? the long haired one observed. The scorpion had it?s claws up, ready to defend itself.
?It?s a bug.? countered Bra.
?A poison bug. With armor.?
?It?s a bug.? the girl repeated. Raditzu frowned, disappointed. With a dissatisfied grunt, the pure blooded saiyan wound up and punted the scorpion into the distance, causing it to disappear in the sky.
?I even named the poor guy.? he said, dejected. Bra rolled her eyes; Raditzu was quite possibly the strongest person to ever walk the galaxy and here he was, acting like a child. She would never understand that about him, and somehow, she gathered he didn?t want her to know.
?You named him?? the teal haired girl hazarded, knowing the conversation could only take a turn for the worse.
?Yeah. Pinchy McGrabbem.? Raditzu replied, his face as neutral as it ever could be. Bra, on the other hand, had nearly tripped over the rock behind him. It wasn?t possible. No sentient person could possibly be so stupid.
? Pinchy McGrabbem?!? the princess exclaimed, repeating her previous question. ?Are you insane?!?
?I already answered that. And what?s wrong with Pinchy McGrabbem?? the long haired saiyan retorted. ?I spent a lot of effort thinking that name up.?
?You?ve only been down here a minute longer than I have!!? Bra shouted, actually getting worked up over such an unimportant argument. The others were drawing near, and the sound of footsteps filled the air. ?You know what? I don?t care. Name it whatever you want.?
?You get upset too easy.? Raditzu grinned, leaping further down the mountain. The princess blinked, suddenly. He was screwing with her! She cursed, louder this time, and made after the saiyan.
Bra planned on giving the saiyan a firm slap upside the head when she tripped over a rock, crashing hard onto her chin, and completely derailing her plan of attack. She groaned in embarrassment, knowing someone would choose an inconvenient time to bring this up sometime in the near future.
?Fucking Pinchy.? she scowled.
OOC: Heh, it's cool, Bar. Just remember, Bra's usually a lot more short-tempered than that.
"I wasted time and now time doth waste me."
"I just made you up to hurt myself, and it worked."
