That said, what kind of freakin' moron doesn't like FFV? That job class system, which originated on FFIII (Nes), set the standard that flowed into Tactics. Five was awesome.

IX was EXTREMELY good and one of the few games I couldn't turn off.

VII, overrated, but definately memorable.

VIII - Has its own following like 9. I see the potential; nevertheless, it bored me.

IV - Hands down my most sentimental, so combined with Chrono Trigger, Chronicles is the best CD.

VI - Fuck this overrated game. Again, memorable, but it didn't appeal nearly as much as others. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, but its like most people never touched an FF game till this one.

FF1 - Hi, remember me? I do. Played it when it first came out and fell in love with it. Right next to Exodus Ultima. (same rental period actually)

FF7 is overrated but a great game. People downtalk FFx too much, I loved it. I was totally addicted for awhile and loved it. X-2 was horrible and I don't remember the other ones I played.

Go pay like $20 bucks for a copy of Final Fantasy Anthologies. You get Chrono Trigger and like FFIV or something. To be honest I bought it solely based on the fact that Chrono Trigger was in it (and I payed a little more since it was when it first came out.) Then I blocked out the world and dove head first into the world of Chrono Trigger. I remember the first time I beat Lavos, (Frog, Crono, Ayla...3D Attack rules) and I had Frog do water 2 right before he was gonna die, and Crono and Ayla were dead and IT KILLED THE LAVOS BIT! I was cheering and doing the ever famous Tiger Woods fist pump of victory (my personal fav) It was a good day.

I digress, assuming you have a playstation or playstation 2 you can get a copy of Chrono Trigger and if it's the Anthologies version they had inserted anime cutscenes.

I have FFII(or IV, the one with Kain and Cecil) for the nintendo, I also have Super Metroid and EarthBound.

Suffice to say, I wish I owned CT for the SNES, but I don't. I maxed out all my characters for the PS1, and I also got very far in Chrono Cross. I bought the OST .

I used to have a CT cart, but the memory started reseting itself at random intervals (damned carts) so my brother sold it to one of his friends. We got $60~$70 for it. If we still had it we could make a lot more than that.
