1.) First and foremost, why should you be selected to play?
1.) In retrospect to accomplishing something within Chubbs itself I've been minimal though that has been far from my desire. It's been my hope to leave a certain contribution for the site as I've come to actually find myself glancing over the forums even at six in the morning before heading off to class. The members are family and so I want to try to do my part for them.
2.) What qualities do you possess that will make you the Idol?
2.) Hard to find when I'm not on the forums though I've been getting better about AIM, I try to be very understand and easy to work with and talk to all the while helpful in as many aspects as I possibly can. I personally make what I say golden in the fact that if I make a promise then you can count on it being fulfilled to the full extent, my habit of being a perfectionist is something I value most in any sort of work I do.
3.) Tell me any previous experience you have with running an RPG. Included should be the name of the RPG, the genre, and how long it lasted.
"Dbzrpg Legacy" - Dragonball Z/Dragonball - Nearly three years (Beginning of 2003 to End of 2005)
A personal site I created and ran for a good three years as a side job in practicing people skills during middle school and high school. Built on a Proboards account, which was unfortunately deleted, I served a mass of approximately thirty members through a process of updating and general administration. I developed a thread-editing system for the members in which a weekly stat boost was given much to the style of Chubbs' own beloved Training Program though my design was less extravagant and much more of a pain to maintain on a large scaled extent.
4.) Finally, you need to write a short essay/description (200+ words) of what you feel being a staff member of Chubbs is all about. What do you think is necessary, what do you think has to be done. Be detailed, as much as you can. Don't kiss our asses, we aren?t looking for compliments.
4.) The necessity isn't seniority or any sort of brown nosing compliments from any posts but the basic fact that those on administration have given themselves to help generate a better role playing environment. Staff should not only be dedicated to the site itself but to each individual member to whom they serve. I believe that the people of the site should come first and foremost in terms of importance as they are the girth of why Chubbs has become so diverse and flooded with such great original talent.
What must be done though is a completely other section of thought. Of course there's updating that makes the job understanding what must be done correctly a requirement to learn especially when there is much riding on what is done, let it be training points or simple deliverance of a rewards post to a quest.
Neutrality plays a massive key... there should be no reason that someone who has given their worth that happens to be on your bad side doesn't receive their maximum due. A member on staff isn't given the right to play favorites; they are there to provide equal help to all no matter what the cost. With such a burden, the thought of late nights and extensive personal debates between 'quality against quantity' should only play naturally along side the high ranking titles.
Lastly the fact that a staff member can't be on everyone?s beckon call shouldn't keep them from trying. Responsibility came with the title thus meaning that you've sacrificed something of your own to help benefit others from your own will, it wasn't forced, therefore if it is too much to ask then pass on through. There may be those who choose to argue with this but for the majority of nearly three years during the existence of my personal site I played the role not because I couldn't find anyone to help... but because I wanted it. Learning to strive alone only strengthens a group when your presence finally exists. In essence a member of Staff should be well developed, maintain a sociable personality, holds together under heavy burdens, and completes tasks to the best of their abilities... no matter what they may be.
