Didn't Vegeta achieve SSJ2 before the others? He just never appeared going SSJ2 in the show until later because I think there was dialogue because he had his seven year training or whatever.

yeah, I'm pretty much stumped. I just took a long look around a bunch of sites and they all say Gohan's the first ever SSJ2.

Cell did so SSJ2 but that was only after he blew himself up. I wouldn't count LSSJ being SSJ2 either. Gohan did however have a dream that his father ascended in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Before the Cell Games take place, Gohan and Goku enter the HTC to train. About halfway through their stay, Gohan is shown tired and beaten. Goku says to call it a day and starts to walk off. Gohan disagrees, knowing if he pushes he'll get stronger. Goku turns around to see Gohan smirking. He transforms into a SSJ2, but only holds it for a second, then falls into SSJ, and then falls unconscious.

Too bad no one got that one. Yes I know Dabura got it, but he's only an OOC account.
