Not until it gets released. Up to now it's crap. They removed the best features. I'm still waiting for the release, but less enthusiastic.

Most people won't be able to run it.
I'll buy a copy of "Service Pack 1" once they relase "Service Pack 2". Current version - 1 = the version that's best to use

Okay, "Windows Vista Capable" means that it will load and you can probably run it bare bones. To actually run it with the features enabled (that's why you buy it, right?) you're going to need a little bit more hardware.
Plus, that's a new computer, most people are running hardware that's probably at least a year old.

My hardware is about a year old but last I checked I could run all features. I might be wrong as it might have gone up but yea KC, bare bone is basically going to be XP but look a little bit snazzier.

Security features and rewritten TCP/IP protocols. Nothing really that interesting or useful. They're even releasing several versions that are stripped down. You're going to have to buy Windows Vista Ultimate to get the most noticable upgrade. And who knows how much that'll run you.
It's supposed to be a Windows OS X. It's pretty, don't run it if you can't run it while it's pretty.

If I experience any lag because of the shiny features, Im going to turn down the shiny settings anyway.
![]() Going to buy a new computer next month, but ill only get a cheap gfx card since in half a year I want to buy a directx 10 card. 8) Oh, and it has actually good features. Not just shiny things. Better memory usage and video output processing for example. (With Vista you should be able to run a dvd and a game at the same time. "blue screens" should be a thing of the past since everything runs in a sandbox now)

From what I've read on the main site on Microsoft.com:
Quote:A Windows Vista Capable PC includes at least: Thats the minimum yo ucould run the system on with bare bones. The best one you'd want is the premuim set up for it: Quote:A Windows Vista Premium Ready PC includes at least: Minus maybe one or two spelling mistakes or typos (like the graphics output), that's thebest thing you'd want for Vista. On ab etter note, I'm aiming to get the ALX system over on AlienWare.com(.co.uk) and then build the ass up from the hardest set up they got.
