Teachers at my school are going on strike thursday, because of contract issues.
I want to know, if you were in my position in high school would you consider this being a good thing or bad? Take into account the days you miss because of this will be taken from your vacations.
Good thing, the vacations are too spaced out. I would prefer a four day weeked every other week, then spring break and stuff.
Edit:And on the even weekends two day weekend like normal ;D

Nah, every day you miss they take something away... first it's snow days, then days for like easter and Christmas. Finally if it lasts real long, they go into summer.

I would consider it bad. The opposing argument suggests that it's best to get a break now than get out of school earlier.
However, at my high school, the Seniors would get out a couple of weeks before all the other students. You'd think it wouldn't be a big deal, but believe me, an earlier let out is one of the main reasons people at my school wanted to be seniors.
By the end of the year, you'll be so ready for summer break that the extra time due to the strike will make you flat out groan, especially if friends in other schools are already out.
That and it's just disappointing that a strike was necessary at all.

Obviously the teachers want more sex with their students.

The nurse at my high school had sex with a middle school kid my senior year.

I'll be getting out early in grade twelve because of IB. =o
I think it's bad, especially if it were next year, since I wouldn't get those days tacked on--the IB exams are done at the same time everywhere. =(

It's a bad thing. Better to have school now than later.

I'd say it's bad. And this is coming from a guy who is horrendously exhausted even when working on 12 hours of sleep every night, even though I usually only get 5 or 6.
High School is the real deal. Missing out on something so important so that it can be rushed out the last few days of school isn't the coolest thing in the world.
That would be why. You got to much sleep. That makes you just as tired as if you only got 5 or 6. try getting just 8.
