To All Draftees

First, welcome to Dante. I fully plan on winning Conquest, and I hope the rest of you do as well. Let me be the first to say this: no one will be left behind or left out. For example, Dante controlling half the map means that every single person, from Commander to Soldier, is responsible for both the responsibilities and the benefits of holding that land. KV and I will share with every member in the benefits of our army's success, so don't bother trying to suck up or anything. You'll get the same benefits as any other member.

Also, don't think twice about betraying Dante. Leaking valuable information, no matter how small, will result in immediate death. Questioning authority will also not be tolerated. The people who will be in charge will be in charge for a reason, so trust their leadership, regardless of what you think or how you feel. If worse comes to worst, bring an issue to King Vegeta or myself and the matter will be dealt with accordingly.

That being said, the army is being divided into three units. Two of the units will be led by King Vegeta and I. The third unit will be led by an NPC general so that we can effectively keep control over that third unit. The purpose of the first two units will be to capture enemy territory and directly assault either Syntech or Outcasts. The third unit, led by the NPC, will simply capture neutral territory, erect buildings in already possessed lands, and will guard the castle if need be.

By leading the two units, the roles of the Commander position and the General position are being ideally combined. We will still be the Commanders, but King Vegeta and I will serve as the Generals as well. Those who normally would be Generals are being ranked as Lieutenants and are effectively second in command.

Currently, we have two lieutenants selected, who will choose to accept the positions if they so desire. They are:

Minoshia
Reijin

The rank of Captains will also exist. A Captain will control a small squad of soldiers within a unit. Captains answer to both Lieutenants and Generals/Commanders. Currently, we have no Captains selected. Ideally, draftees will begin at the Soldier level, and then we may promote you to the Captain level if you prove yourself to be active, intelligent, and loyal. Note that Captains will never have playable Soldiers in their squads, only NPCs. Again, allow me to stress that Lieutenants and above will be issuing the orders, not the Captains. Captains merely give authority to someone in a particular squad.

With that covered, let's move on to strategy. We are currently allied with Bardock, who leads the United force. United is in the southwest corner of the map, the red territory. The third unit will capture the neutral territory between us and United, whereas the remaining two units, combined with Bardock's forces, will push to attack the territory northern us. We'll be capturing neutral territory on the way. Ideally, we want to capture as much territory as early as possible. It's much easier to mass-capture land in the beginning and defend it as Conquest goes on rather than to wait till a significant time passes before attempting to capture territory.

It's up to you guys as to which unit you want to join. KV and I aren't going to make people join a unit they don't want to. Options include any of the three units, as well as possibly leading scouts on reconnaissance or assassins on missions of that type. Basically, once all the draftees are here, I'll make a thread with the possible groups to join, and each draftee will post with who they want to join as well as a reason for it.

I think that about sums it up. Reply with any questions you have, as I'm sure I've forgotten something.

Thanks, Burt.

Also, for people wanting to leading Reconnaissance or Assassination Missions, KV and I will be giving the final say. With the necessity of Scouts and Assassins, it'd be crippling for someone to lead a squad of them into a slaughter. That being said, we won't be *too* picky with people who want to lead them, but we may have to tell someone no, but don't take it personal. Any decision we make will be for the BEST of the army. It will have nothing to do with a personal grudge or dislike.

Lastly, KV and I will be creating missions for people to partake in, in order to encourage activity. Completing missions may result in zeni (from my own pocket) and possibly even a promotion if a multitude of missions are completed. These missions will mostly revolve around Reconaissance and Assassination/Spy (remember, the assassins can simply do spy work, too) stuff, though I may create a few missions that have to do with taking neutral or enemy territory.

I really don't have anything to add since my partner-in-crime pretty much said everything I wanted to say. I will vouch for the zeni payment for completing missions. Because, afterall, we will expect only the best in RPing from you guys. We're determined and will do whatever it takes to win this competition, but remember we're going to have to do it as a whole. We'll not expect anything out of you that we wouldn't expect from ourselves.

I also would like to note to Minoshia and Reijin - you were our choices and I will wholeheartedly say that we chose you two for reasons. Not setting you two as Generals wasn't meant as an insult to either of you two, but infact more of a way that we could control your characters IC. I'm proud to have you both a part of this group, as well as the others that we were not given the opportunity to draft.

My only worry is that I'd like to try and have every active. You don't have to be posting like a fireball, but at least give reasons as to why you can't RP so that you can at least stay in the competition and be some assistance to the group. We don't want to see a mass amount of people being killed off due to activity. But I do welcome all of you, and know that you will all have an effective role in this competition.

Lastly, about the game-plan, I think allying with Bardock is going to be a good gameplan. However, throughout the competition, it would be wise to measure out our options as we move along. Don't get too comfortable with the idea of allying with the United because in the end we're going to have to face them sooner or later. And I'd prefer to not have them growing in strength as we begin eliminating the other groups. We're here to win, and by doing that I expect all of us to give our ideas for strategy to either Broli or myself. We'll decide whether it's noteable to the group or not. We're going to win, and nothing else will be acceptable. =O

Harharhar. Serious post aside, welcum.

I get the feeling Bardock will turn on us, but hey who knows.

You mean before its just us and him?

Honestly if it comes down to Dante and United, -I think- It will be easier than if it were us and someone else, Im not saying it's going to be "in the bag" or anything, but compared to the other Armies, it'd probably be easier.

Well, it looks like you have this down and ready. I'm definatly going to do well in this, and you can count on me. I had my doubts, but I'm absolutely sure that we will do good.

Bardock won't turn on us as long as he is in charge, I can assure everyone of that. He holds too much respect for our army to backstab us. If anything, he is more afraid of us turning on him.

Ideally, it will come down to us against him. However, if we start to feel that our best bet would be against an easier opponent, I can officially let Bardock know that we will be withdrawing from the alliance. Again, let me clarify that there is no need to worry about Bardock backstabbing us.

Also, a good game plan would be to grab as much land as possible despite the alliance. Even though United and Dante are allied doesn't mean that we can't try and get the upper hand land-wise. For example, convincing Bardock that it's best for the alliance for us to capture an enemy army's castle is one example of using strategy well.

Lastly, just reinterating what KV said, be active. Zeni rewards, promotions, and missions will all be used to help encourage activity. Furthermore, Minoshia and Reijin were our draft choices, and these are the two people we trust the most.

So, Ideally, how many missions before a promotion? Im not concerned about getting promoted, just wondering. -_^

The duh question - We can choose not to be promoted right?

Yes, you can. I may just promote someone as I need them. For example, if Reijin and Mino were to somehow both die, I would obviously need someone to take their place.

And I thought about implementing an experience system that leads to promotions. Each mission would be worth a certain amount of experience. For example, if you need 1000 experience to move from Soldier to Captain, or Captain to Lieutenant, you'd need to do however many missions to achieve that amount of experience.

However, I think for now KV and I may just want to promote as we see fit. As long as you're active and relatively useful, I wouldn't think you'd need to try too hard to get a promotion.

Receiving a zeni reward for conduct in the field or completing a mission will now be a Zeni VOUCHER. These vouchers can be turned in to the commander at the end of Conquest for the amount of zeni that the voucher describes.

I'm glad you're honest about that. I knew someone would be questioning the activity of Broli and myself. But don't worry, we'll both be very active. Active IC wise and OOC wise in this competition.

Anyways - we'll not trust Bardock and his team completely, but we wholeheartedly believe he isn't going to turn on us. This partnership was made weeks before DA:C even began.

I've come to trust them as far as knowing how badass they can be when it comes to a serious thing. This is my proof.
