This post will serve as a record of units and who is in them. Please reply with which unit in which you would like to join. By joining a unit you are being assumed as moving in cooperation with that unit, and so the unit's location will match yours. If you are to ever change units or move indepently from the units, please make me aware by posting in this thread so that your location can be accurate. This thread will be updated constantly. Also, please let me know if anything is confusing so I can clarify.
Keep in mind that you can switch units at any time, but that you will have to physically move from unit to unit. You can move 2 squares in one day. It's encouraged to stick with the unit you first join, but not required. It'd simply be stupid for us to have all of our draftees in the middle of no where moving from unit to unit when we really need them. Also keep in mind that units will rarely stop moving to allow a playable character to catch up.
Assault Units (AUs) will be responsible for leading the main assaults on enemy territory. Each unit will be composed of 2/5ths of the total military force.
AUs will be divided into two types: Direct and Indirect.
Direct Assault Units (DAUs) will be composed of the soldiers who do the actual fighting. This includes infantry, support, and snipers.
Indirect Assault Units (IAUs) will be responsible for supporting the DAU, as well as scouting missions and sublety missions, which involves spying and assassination. Unless on a specific mission, an IAU will always travel with its DAU counterpart, combining to make the entire unit. Also, Sublety missions will only be composed of Scouts or Assassins, never both and never Messengers and Medics. Messengers and Medics will always travel with the DAU but will be considered as indirect combat support.
Other units will serve as Support and Defensive Units (SDUs). SDUs make up 1/5th of the total army. These units act as support whenever reinforcements are crucially necessary, though chances are these units will act as defensive forces through most of Conquest. Due to this, SDUs acting as defense will always stay in territory under our control, and will usually be tasked with erecting buildings. While the abbreviation will be confusing, try and remember that SDUs will also be separated into DAUs and IAUs, as SDUs can act as means of primary attack or support when serving as reinforcements.
That being said, here are the following units:
