?Lieutenant!? Kiro bellowed.

Gokua whipped his head around, and urged his steed to the side. The young soldier ran forward, through the thick crowd of men.

?Why did you leave that village to the Dante forces?!? He came forth and firmly gripped his rapier, which was in its sheath, strapped to his back. ?That village is miles away from our boundaries, yet you so willingly allow the opposition to capture it?? He spat onto the ground as resentment filled his usually ebullient face. ?That was not an intelligent tactic, and you don?t deserve to be the leader!?

Gokua?s face remained emotionless. ?A bad tactic move on my part?? he asked, but it was clearly not to be answered. ?Well, what would you have done, young Kiro??

?I would have fought for that village,? he replied. ?Our numbers are great, and I believe that we could have easily disposed of them.?

The orange-haired alien chuckled at Kiro?s comment. ?Oh really?? he asked as he leapt off of his stallion, and approached the young soldier. ?Little did you know that there are reasons why we didn?t simply rush into battle.? He gently placed his hand on Kiro?s shoulder. ?Reasons that the majority of you are unaware of.?

?What reasons?? Kiro asked, folding his arms across his breastplate. ?Are they paying you off??

?No,? Gokua replied. ?The reasons shall remain classified for the time being, but I do assure you that those reasons will be unveiled shortly.? He slowly removed his hand and made his way back to his steed. ?Never doubt me. I know what I am doing.?

Kiro kept silent, but did so reluctantly. He wanted to continue to ask questions about these ?reasons? his lieutenant mentioned, but he also was intelligent enough to know that the rest of the unit would not be willing to support him; their trust lied with Gokua, and the United Army.

?Now, we shall begin moving to the north,? Lt. Gokua shouted out to his men. ?And we shall start tomorrow!?

The Reservoir Dogs unit came to a halt; their fearless leader gazed over the beautiful horizon, leaving his men to wonder what the purpose of stopping was. Thus far, all of the men had been well fed and clothed, but supplies were becoming short, and not much time remained until the rest of their rations would be depleted. They needed a way to obtain more supplies.

?Why have we stopped, Lt. Gokua?? Kiro stepped forth from the crowd to stand beside his leader. ?This is merely another plain.?

The alien smiled. ?We?re going to construct yet another building, Kiro.?

The young soldier sighed as he looked back at his fellow soldiers. ?We?re up to the task, but it is a daunting one, no??

?I don?t think it is,? Gokua replied as he urged his steed to the side so he could make his face visible to his men. ?We shall begin building a fort!? he shouted out to the unit of men.

The men did the same thing Kiro did; they sighed. They were loyal to their commander, however, and agreed to the task. A few of the more healthy soldiers began to shower around a small area, taking bricks and other building materials off of the supply camels? backs.

?Hopefully we will be able to have this building finished after a few days, no longer.? Gokua muttered. ?We must have haste if we?re going to construct as much as we wish to.?

?I hope you know what you?re doing, sir.? Kiro said as he removed his leather helmet and his breastplate. ?I truly do.? He too began to contribute to the construction.

?Don?t worry Kiro,? the orange-haired leader responded. ?Trust my judgment. I know what I am doing, and it isn?t for selfish reasons?for once.?
