Two nights before, Nappa had gotten completely stoned with another general of the United army. It was a good time no doubt, but the fighter needed to focus on the task at hand, which in fact was not much of a task at all. He was ordered to do a check-up on a tower in the north, see what he could see, and then leave.
It was such a trivial task, but one that Garlic had a lot of interest in. The commander?s word was law, and he couldn?t defy the law in the game called war. Nappa understood this game very well now, and he knew better than to frown upon the assignments given to him. He was bored, but the bald warrior knew that sooner or later he would be called upon to fight. ?Edmond, send me the winner of the keg shoot up to my office. I have not yet promoted him to a higher rank,? the pure blood explained, as he sat in the highest room of the tower. Waiting for the soldier to arrive, the saiya-jin elite pulled out his small stash of cigars. The cedar box, was getting much lighter than it had been only fifteen days ago. ?One, two?. Eight cigars left ehhh. Well that just means we?ve got eight days to win this thing,? Garlic, I?ve got eight cigars left. Send me more, or lets finish whoever is left off. The owner of your soul, Nappa By the time he was finished jotting down his note to the commander, a small knock shattered the silence of his room. Both Edmond and the winner of the contest entered his chambers. The soldier seemed to be very excited, but his composure was still very intact. He kept a good posture, with a straight and emotionless face. ?Soldier, you are I great shot. Even under extreme circumstances you were able to hit the bulls eye each time. I don?t know if it is just sheer drunken luck, or latent, but I will soon find out. You are now corporal in my unit,? the bald warrior explained, as he placed a large fur cap on his head. The cap had fur ear flaps running down each side, for maximum warmth. ?Yes commander, thank you sir!? the winner replied, his tone full of gratefulness. ?Oh, and Edmond please get a messenger to take this to Garlic. Make sure I get s response from him as well,? the saiya-jin general ordered, deepening his voice to express importance. With that he bit down on an end of his cigar, lifted his zippo lighter flicking the igniter three times, and inhaling the dark and highly potent smoke. With his favorite cigar lit, the Nappa leaned back in his chair, lifted up his binoculars, and began to survey his surroundings.

As Jeice sat motionless in a wooden chair leaning back onto a random wall, his eyes closed and hands rested on his lap, his mind began to wander. Thinking about things that he has seen. Senseless killing and painful deaths, it wasn?t something that he wanted to be apart of. He never had much of a problem with it before but the recent events of the two wars have changed his perspective on things.
?Well isn?t this great?? A voice interrupted his train of thought. Opening his eyes his bald saiyan friend stood in front of him with a sort of grin on his face and a rifle in his hand. ?We?re in the middle of war and you want to sleep.? ?No sir, I wasn?t.? Jeice replied quickly to explain himself. ?It doesn?t matter?I?m going to need you to get us something to eat?you any good with a gun?? Nappa asked abrasively. ?I?m an ok shot?far from the best but decent.? The red fighter answered. ?Good enough for me, go out and hunt us something to eat?try to make it big?and try to be fast about it?when you return, send someone for me so I?ll know you arrived.? The saiyan extended his arm and tossed the rifle towards the red fighter. Then turned his back and proceeded to walk away. Reaching out Jeice latched onto the gun and examined it. He stood up from the chair and began to head for the exit to complete his new task. Hunting wasn?t something he liked to do, unless it was fair game. Gunning down a defenseless animal wasn?t a challenge for him, so hopefully he would find something out there that would be worth shooting. It was sunset and soon to be dark. God only knows what kind of animals roam the area during night. He brought the gun to his eye level and looked through the mounted scope on top of it. He cocked the weapon, preparing to fire at the first thing he had seen. Strange noises filled the area, some didn?t sound natural. Buzzes, screeches, clicking, and a type of scream came from the thickly wooded surroundings, he was sure to come across something. Straying back and forth, he franticly looked for something that would make a good meal and would still be somewhat difficult to get. The red fighter noticed the bushes ahead had been shifting around for some time. Aiming the weapon in its direction he approached the bush with a certain feel of caution. As he stood in front of the bush, the barrel aimed at the middle of the shrub, it stopped its rapid movement. He poked the weapon into it slowly, there was no reaction. Something had to be in there. He began to move the gun into different parts of the plant in hopes that something would turn up. Suddenly, in a burst of noise and movement a small rabbit jumped out of the bush and ran into a small burrow at the bottom of a tree. It got away. Though, it wasn?t something he would have gone after anyway. As he looked at the burrow with his gun to the side he was momentarily startled by a loud screech. Looking around, he noticed a small animal on the run, desperately trying to escape a large but-type creature. The creature was relatively large, bigger then the red fighter anyway, it had talon-type claws and sharp teeth with oversized wings. It wasn?t like something he had ever seen on another planet, must be native to this strange planet. As the creature eased itself into the small animal?s path it was inches away from catching its prey. Jeice brought the gun to eye level once more and lined up the shot. In his mind, there was no room for mistake it was this one shot that would determine if he would be successful at the hunt or not. His finger grasped the trigger gently as he waited for the right moment strike. The creature was now seconds away from grabbing its prey, its claws extended. Jeice quickly pulled his index finger back. The shot echoed through the wooded area. Letting down his weapon he saw the small animal run passed his feet and into a similar burrow that the rabbit went into. He looked up and the bug lay still with barely any blood spewing. He slowly walked towards it. The shot was direct; the bullet had pierced its forehead killing it on impact. Which was exactly what the red fighter had hoped for; suffering wasn?t something he wanted to cause. He leaned down and grabbed the kill, bringing his up with his right hand; he threw it over his shoulder and began to head for the base. He tried to walk as fast as possible, it began to become even darker outside with the sun barley showing anymore. When returned to the base, he opened the door and approached the first person he laid eyes on. ?You there?inform lieutenant Nappa of my arrival.? He ordered. ?Yes sir.? The man replied as he ran off. Nappa had been shuffling papers for hours now, looking at previous ideas on attack and defense strategies. Some he thought were amazing, while others were simply foolish. Most of the foolish ones were created when he was either drunk or stoned, and as he went through them he couldn?t help but smile.
After a few moments a small rapping sound came from the door to his office at the topmost room in the tower. ?Come in,? the saiya-jin giant called. The soldier who entered was tall, and muscular. He sported a military style buzz cut, and the military issue rifle at his side. Looking over his attire, the bald fighter noticed the patch of a messenger, ?Well what have you to tell me?? Nappa spat, curious to see what he?d come to inform him. ?Jeice has returned general, he wishes to tell you he has returned with food,? the ordinary looking messenger replied. Then slowly he turned, and exited the room. Excited to see what exactly his hunter had returned with, the sniper general snatched his fur cap off his desk, and quickly exited his office. Nappa leapt down the stairs by fours, with each jump he landed the floor shook as if there had been a miniature earthquake. Although he didn?t need to run for his meal, the saiya-jin wanted to stretch out his muscles and get warmed up for a change. With his last jump the mighty elite dropped kicked the door open, ?Well where the hell is it?? Nappa boomed, lifting himself up from the ground. The soldiers that were standing around Jeice?s kill swirled around, only to see their general make a fool out of himself. Each of his subordinates could not help but laugh and they didn?t make any effort to keep it held in. Even Jeice couldn?t help but smile at his leaders mishap. ?Right here Nappa, I don?t have any idea what it is but it?s pretty big,? Jeice answered quickly, removing his grin at the same time. ?Yeah, yeah keep laughing. I?m getting first dibs on dinner, so don?t be surprised if I leave you any?.. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? You brought me back this stupid ass bug, you expect me to eat BUG? I?d rather eat that stupid licorice that Garlic is always slapping people with than a bug. You guys can have it all to your selves, have fun,? Nappa announced, heated that he?d been brought back a dirty insect for his dinner. The saiya-jin leader pulled out another one of his favorite cigars, lit the end, and began puffing intensely as he turned and reentered his tower. ?Those bastard?s can eat that shit all day for all I care, I just better have some damn rations up stairs or I?m really going to go ballistic,? the mustached general thought, walking back up the stairs by ones.
