Strategy for Sanguine - Burter Read
#1
Here's how it's going to work for Sanguine.

We're going to construct 10 towers on wheels, like the ones in Rome: Total War and in Lord of the Rings. These are the towers that you push towards a wall and then climb up the inside to the top, where you hop onto the castle wall. Five of these towers will attack the portion of the wall to the south of the main gate, while the other five will move to the part of the wall north of the main gate.

We're also going to make 5 battering rams. One will go for the main gate while the other four will divide evenly between the top and bottom sections. In other words, two battering rams will attack the wall north of the main gate while the other two attack the wall south of the main gate. They will do this at the same time as the towers are moving.

Meanwhile, we we have several dozen ladders.

The idea is to attack them from so many points on the walls that they won't be able to defend each one equally. Putting more defense in one area will cause another area to leak. The main objective is to merely penetrate the wall, whether by use of a battering ram or tower.

Once the wall has been penetrated, everyone will focus on that area and getting on top of the wall and securing a perimeter, much like we did at Hyperton. Once we're on the wall, we need to get the gate open from the inside, and then we need to begin a push towards the center of the Castle.

Does this make sense to everyone? Once the battle begins, we need every single one of you, Vejita, Reijin, Akane, and Grandpa Gohan to be as active as possible. This fight won't be easy, and it's not going to be kind to our troop count. I expect a large amount of soldier losses, but we really have no choice but to fight them. Be active so that you survive. I need all of you for when we fight United.

Burter, could you read over this and tell me if any part of this plan won't work? Thanks.

Our attack against Sanguine is happening in two waves.

1000 troops are moving in the first wave with the siege weapons. All of our Spec Ops and Assault are included in this count (520 of them total) along with a combination of the other soldiers, with the exception of snipers. They're all pushing the siege weapons to the wall. When they reach the wall, the infantry/support on the ground will move to set up the towers and battering rams while the Spec Ops and Assault fly up to the top of the wall and attempt to secure a perimeter so that the infantry/support can come up safely through the towers.

Once the men begin filtering onto the wall, the remaining army will attack in the second wave. I divided it into two waves to avoid having a swarm of my guys on the ground getting sniped and rampaged on while we try to get through the wall.
