However, I will be contributing a lot to it because if we do choose to go through with it, I would want it to be done quick and not roleplay Burter for too long only to have him reset and start over

I actually made a race called 'Reptilians' which would be characters like Burter, Aqua or Zarbon.

We can make new stuff work. And besides, with the current proposed idea, you wouldn't -lose- Burter. Just his current level of pwn.

We're reconstructing the very core of a sprawling RPG if this goes through.

It's a lot of work. Even if you count -only- the scripting or -only- the creative content, it's a lot of work.

Therefore, it is VERY important to know what exactly will be carried over in the reset. Is it all techniques or just some (obviously not the powerups, but im referencing best moves as well)? Will there be any compensation for our stats (from what staff has said, no one seems to want any form of that, but I want a definative answer please)? If we do get all our best moves and techniques... what's to stop a person from throwing all their TPs into their mentals and getting a hole bunch of moves before the reset? If we dont give older characters anything after the reset but 2-3 techniques (the moves rewarded by staff for excellent RPing) what is to motivate us to continue RPing besides the simple joy of writing?
