?This will be the fight of your lives. A battle that will stand the test of time and shall be remembered for ever. Some of you may die, but the legacy of the fight you will fight today shall never die. Garlic Jr has fallen and we must not let his death be in vain. With that said lets bring it to these bastards at Dante!? Paragus ended is speech with a raise of his hand.
?Long live United. TO VICTORY? Paragus yelled and received the same response back. All the faces in the sea of soldiers showed the same cold expression. They would not be denied, they would not lose. Para watched as his mighty group broke off into the jobs he told them about earlier. Mass amounts of men began to roll out the giant catapults and readied them for war. The ammo was to be set ablaze and used to torch there enemies as well as pummel them into the ground. Sweat dripped down there dirt covered faces. War had not been good to them, but who is war good to? Paragus watched over them making sure they did everything the way he asked them to do it. Time seemed to shift into slow motion for a moment as he remembered all who had fallen on the side of United. All the poor men who had given there lives for the sake of a good fight. Para clenched his fist in anger, he wasnt going to lose this war. A small soldier struggled with one of the giant boulders used for ammunition. Para saw and couldnt help but assist the poor soldier. The small framed man was trying to roll the boulder to its destination, but to no avail. He seemed to just be ignored in the panic of trying to set up for Dante. Para walked up to the man and lifted the other side with ease. He was doing all the lifting but he wasnt gonna tell the cadet that. ?Thanks? The voice of a young child said leaving Para in shock. The young man lifted his head to reveal that he was no more then 14 years old. ?You seem a little young to be out here? Paragus said trying to speak calm to the young teen. The small boy brushed aside his long blonde hair and continued carrying. ?My dad left without saying where he was going so I followed and it lead me here? Para carried in silence so he wouldnt interrupt. ?He died earlier though so its just me? The dropped the boulder in front of one of the set up weapons and walked away. ?Don?t worry I will look out for you? Para reassured the child and passed a smile and let him go to take a rest. Paragus had almost completely forgot about the outside of the fortress so he quickly walked to the walls. On the outside of the walls of Monte Cristo the other part of Paragus? plan was being taking care of. Workers were working vigorously to get it done before anything took place at Monte Cristo. Para had come to the outside now to view his other work. The mighty hole was well on its way to being done. ?Lets see them handle this? Para murmured under his breath. Para couldnt help but feel proud for the men that were working so hard to set up for the battle. Cristo was going to be inpenetrable and it would all be beaus of their hard work and dedication. The saiyan warrior passed a smile and traveled back inside to check up on the rest of the workers. It wasnt a far walk from the catapults to the walls, so Para arrived just in time to see them finish. Para took a deep breath and was ready to call together his army once more. The sky was clear and it was a beautiful day. A flock of birds flew over head and the saiyan just wished that he could be as carefree as those birds were. They didnt know what was going to happen and they didnt care, but Paragus might die today. All the troops gathered around there calm general and awaited his talking once more. ?This is it. You have all made me proud to lead you and I hope you feel the same way about being lead by me. A wise man once told me to Live without fear in the face of my enemies and I will play the wise man today. So do as I tell you and Live without fear, Fight without fear, DIE without fear? Para yelled the final statement and stared around at the army in which he would lead. The initial reaction was that of silence, but in complete unison it broke out into a hostel battle cry. The war may be over soon but the men at Monte Cristo the true battle had just begun. OOC: Orders received

Another damp day had passed, and finally the long march was over. United had returned to it?s gem, Monte Cristo. Sixteen had gone over every spec of detail during his first trip here, noting all of it?s minor flaws and strong points. It?s magnificent marble keep, and extremely large walls made it a most intriguing building to look at.
In it, and hard at work, was General Paragus and his small unit. They?d already begun the inner defenses with reinforcements to the keep and main gates. Now it was the walls, and outer defenses that needed touched up. The android slowly rolled out his map of the fortress, and began jotting down his new setup. ?Paragus can you come over here please?? the machina questioned calmly. The saiya-jin nodded quickly, then with a few commands to his own troops he trotted over. Standing tall and proud, the general awaited his next command. ?Sir?? Paragus asked in a deep voice. ?Here are my plans for Monte Cristo, I want you to see to it that they are done to perfection. I want everything done to the exact, that way we have no weaknesses,? Sixteen ordered, handing the small map to his ranked officer. Once again the saiya-jin nodded, then darted off to prepare. ---------------------------- The medical tent was as morbid as ever. The wounded from the assassination attempt were still healing, and still crying out in their sleep. Some soldiers were missing limbs, others with just deep wounds or infections. Most of them would be returning to the battlefield at some point, hopefully sooner than later. In the corner of white tent sat Koola, the changeling lieutenant. He was caught in the middle of the massacre, and in an attempt to dodge a ki blast his left leg was ripped from it?s socket. The unfortunate event was a devastating loss to the united army. ?Koola, how are you healing my friend?? asked the commander politely, stopping at his bedside. ?The medics have given me something to ease the pain, but that won?t last forever. I?m in a pretty unlucky situation right about now huh?? the changeling fighter replied. ?Yeah, it is a most unfortunate event, but all is not lost. When you heal I?d like you to hit the shooting range ASAP, you?ve been assigned a ki sniper. I?ve got quite the mission for you when you get out of this tent,? Sixteen monotoned, holding up his own modified PSG1 rifle. ?Alright, I?m on it Commander,? the injured soldier answered, closing his eyes for a moment.

The orders were received and Paragus immediately went off to get started. Monte Cristo would be ready for what ever was coming its way. Para was also informed by 16 of the assassination attempt at Freelorn. The saiyan thought what would have happened if he was still there. He could have been dead, or maybe he could have stopped it. That was the past and it was time to prepare for what the future will bring.
He had now reached the outside of the walls and his troops were there waiting for their orders. The men stood tall all of them saluting there General. Para waved off the men and gave them the ok to begin their work. Within minuted they were all informed of what they had to do and work was already being done. The saiyan even stopped himself for a moment and began helping his troops. "We got it sir. You do what you got to do" A unknown soldier said taking the shovel out of the hands of the saiyan. Para gave him a grateful smile and stood out of the trench that he was digging only to be replaced by three soldiers willing to help. The general paced back and forth observing all that was going on within the confines of his army. Nobody was resting, they were all doing there best to get ready for the battle. It was non-stop pandemonium outside the walls of the fortress. Even though everyone was frantically running around the fortress all seemed to be working as planned. ?Don?t stop there isn?t much time. We must keep going? Para yelled feeling a little bad for the constant pressure being put on the shoulders of the troops but if this fort wasn?t ready for battle then they would soon meet their demise. The outside of the fort was looking better by the second. The inside was perfect but the outside was finally looking up to par. Para smiled at the thought of Dante trying to take over Monte Cristo. They would be in for a rude awakening. ?Don?t let up? The saiyan yelled again. ?Dante will show no mercy. All we need to win is this one last battle. We will win? The exhausted battle cries sent more adrenaline into the tired workers body. They began working twice as hard and they were not going to let up. OOC: Alrighty done

Temperature, sixty-five degree?s Fahrenheit. Oil and coolant mixture status, normal. Weapons, all functional. Computer and main systems all functioning to perfection. Power Supply, operational.
His body was in good shape, and he was ready for his first test. Sixteen had taken a stroll away from Monte Cristo to test his body for the upcoming fight. It had been so long since he?d tapped into his fighting spirit, and moved at the speeds needed that he had to make sure. Paragus had been told to keep all men away from the area, and that no scouter would detect where or what he was doing. It was one android, finally spreading his wings. As a cool breeze drove northward, the android commander lowered himself into his fighting stance. The memories of battle hit him as he bent his knees to the needed angle, the thoughts of his favorite combinations and attacks hit him like a hammer. It was a few minutes of silence, before the calm warrior jolted his right knee upwards at the opponent with no name or body. With no wasted movements or power, his left knee sliced through the air, followed by a most powerful right palm directed to the chest. From his palm, a small burst of ki emerged swirling in place, and with a small grunt was thrust from its position. Screaming after the image of his opponent, the ki ball slammed into the ground forcefully, creating a small cloud of dust and debris around the area of effect. Smirking the android fell to the ground, ?Power-up ready, in three, two, one.? Instantly a burst of power surged around the mechanical fighter, swirling it?s way above his head. Kicking up the loose ground around him as it grew, he lowered himself further. ?Lets ditch these hands,? he screamed, tapping a button on his left wrist uncoupling his massive hand. Side-arming his own fist a small jet of energy bust from it?s end shooting around like a bottle rocket. ?Come to me,? Sixteen called, waiting a few seconds for his hand to get to full speed. Almost immediately after his call, the hand whipped around making a beeline towards him. At speed?s almost undetectable to the human eye, it screamed closer, but Sixteen held his ground. ?Bullet Time,? he roared in his usual monotone. The area in front of him seemed to almost stop completely, as well as the oncoming metallic fist. His vision was slightly blurred, but clear enough for him to make out the distance and exact time that he had to make his move. ?Dodge, and counter,? he thought to himself. Time returned to the norm, and the fist screamed once more. Sixteen dug down, pushing his left foot to the right slightly, putting himself just out of the fists range. Lunging his right arm forwards, the commander grabbed hold of his own hand by the thumb, and with a forceful thrust he returned it to it?s place. ?Power down commencing in three, two, one.? The spinning sphere of power around him disappeared instantly, and the android warrior lifted himself back to a normal position. ?It?s too much drain on my system, I must be careful with this one,? Sixteen thought as he checked his systems once more. Temperature, sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit. Oil and coolant mixture status, plus three coolant. Weapons, all functional. Computer and main systems, functioning at eighty three percent. Power Supply, ninety percent.

The medic came to Koola soon after the android left. He replaced the old bandage with a brand new one, and it would serve to be his last one. After several tests, the medic said that he could move around a bit, and that he would send for a wheelchair. ?That won?t be necessary.? Replied Koola, sitting up, and ready to step onto solid ground.
He touched the dirt at first with his middle toe, and gently planted his whole foot on the floor. He started to shift his weight into his foot, then gradually to his knee. The changeling prince closely held the cot that he had been resting in for so long, and started to stand up. He wobbled a little, but quickly regained his balance. All his weight was on his leg, and it felt weird. He was ready for the next step; it would be much harder than the last. Still holding the cot, the gradually began wrapping his long tail around his injured leg. He had to work slowly, because his tail weighed a lot more than any other limb on his body. Koola also used it to help him kept his balance. Finally wrapped tightly, the remaining potion of his tail stayed straight until reaching the ground. The tail now had to support half the weight, and relieve the right leg. It adapted quickly, and he was standing straight. He let go of the cot, and tried to stay straight. He succeeded, and walked forward. He was using his tail like a peg leg, and walked with a limp. He could travel faster on a wheelchair, but it wasn?t good to use on the battlefield. He could fall over, or be forced to climb a hilltop or stairs. His strategy was the most efficient way to travel. Commander Sixteen had ordered him to become a sniper, being almost useless in a hand to hand fight. He limped to the shooting range, where he would find an instructor to teach him how to reload, aim, and fire a gun. He entered the range, and saw many snipers shooting targets from many meters away, preparing to the upcoming battle. Koola would need the best of the best to learn the basics in a short period of time. He looked out and saw a target one hundred meters hit on the bull?s-eye three shots in a row. He tried to find the shooter of the perfect shot and looked all around. Then Flemings showed up with a sniper rifle and greeted Koola. ?Good morning, Koola. Glad to see that you can walk again.? ?It is indeed nice to walk again, my friend. However, I need to find the sniper that shot that hundred meter target. He must be the best sniper on this range.? ?Thank you sir, it?s always nice to have a compliment on my abilities.? Koola paused for a moment, almost unbelievable that weakling Flemings could have the best shot in the entire army. ?Oh, I don?t think I?ve ever mentioned that I was a sniper, huh sir? I?m not very good a close combat, so I normally use long-range weapons. I ended up being the best shot in my class. Well then, I guess we should get started.? |
