Oh noes! Don't set your thing to peace, that makes your nation run very inefficiently. Basically, the GPA takes a defensive stance so it is is perfectly ok, and even reccomended, that you set your thing to "war is an option." And if someone attacks you you are allowed to defend. It's just that other nations within the GPA must get approval from your war's assigner to help you and jopin in.

Up your infrastructure first, this will get you more citezens and tax money. Up your soldiers and land only to maintain police action and living space until you're up to about 10,000 a day in taxes.

Oh. good. lord...

Those are so bad i'd even suggest starting over. That's like the two worst resources.

And your ration of spending should be:
land = 1/2 infra
military = 1/5 infra

and run your finances, every day like this:

1. pay bills
2. buy infra with remaining cash
3. collect taxes

do this the same way every day and you'd be straight.

Lead is pretty good actually o.o seems like a lot of people want it, I got all my trade agreements full within like 24hrs.

Anyways, this is what I'm going for:

Aluminum, Lumber, Iron, Marble, Water, Wheat, Fish, Cattle, Sugar, and Pigs.

Just need a harbor, that'd probably be the first improvement right? >_> Assuming here.

There's a guy on GPA with a link to the best possible combo of resource given your starting set. You should look for that. He posts a lot in the trade comission. And yeah, your harbor should be your first improvement. I messed up and bought a bank for no reason at all @.@
