Call it an emo moment, or whatever, there is something unspoken between us that I thought I?d finally sit down and put into words. I am not talking to just one person in particular, but everyone on this site that has somehow touched me in one way or another over the last fourteen months.
Back at the end of December 2005, I ventured across Chubbs, and like most of you, looking for a good, still active, DBZ roleplaying game. Lets face it, DBZ is pretty much my favorite anime, and like most internet connected fans, decided to find one. I expected something totally different, something that would last a few months and die off, pretty much like every other DBZ RPG on the ?net, or at least, the ones I?ve been to. Imagine my surprise when I surpassed month three, four, six?and still, not a sign of faltering in activity.
Its not just because of the members, it takes both a dedicated staff and a dedicated player base to make something successful like this place. I?ve seen people come, and go throughout the months, but there are still several familiar faces I?ve come to know and love. I don?t just say that as some kind of cheesy ?Oh, it fits! Let?s use it!? conveyance, but I say that because I know it to be the truth. There are some of you here that I truly consider my close friends, not just an internet pen pal, but real life. I am not ashamed to admit that, probably because of the lack of real friends here in Ohio, or pretty much, ever.
To the Staff:
Reijin: I get to talk to you every once in a while, especially before I had my disconnection back at the end of October. You?re a good soul, and you put at least a little trust in me. Unfortunately, I didn?t really deliver what I promised to you, you know what that is. =) I will make up for it though, don?t you worry about that.
Rad: Don?t get to talk to you much at all, really, but when I do, even though its brief, you?re still good to speak to. Just wish we could talk a bit more, I don?t really care about what, maybe storylines, or thoughts, or something. Perhaps a group aim chat would be good? Lol.
Beccs: You are an amazing person. Don?t ever forget that. It was you that inspired me to work that much harder with my signatures and artwork, because you are so talented. You offered me space on your personal site to pop my work up on, but I failed there. I apologize for anything bad that I have done to you, or any hurt feelings I have given you, now and in the future. I?ll be sure to correct those. =) As a staff member, you?ve given your best with the time you have, and continue to do so, although, it?s a little more subtle than before. I just noticed the other day you were moved down to moderator, but don?t think bad about it. You?re still contributing behind the scenes to help all of us. Besides, it will probably take a lot more stress off you so you can go do your own thing, and get back into roleplaying more often. =)
Heffers: you?re not staff anymore, but you still deserve a spot under this category. When I first tried to join, you thought I was some Jeice guy, who later, I believe turned out to be someone else who caused trouble here. You Immed me and apologized, which I don?t take as anything less than good, because you don?t see a lot of that in people, those willing to rectify their mistakes. You did an excellent job as a staff member, and now that you?re back to being a member, you better keep roleplaying, or I will come kick you in that shiny metal ass of yours. <3 I read your stuff when I can, and enjoy it like, well, like sipping a delicious wine, something that is different than what is accustomed to.
Krillin: You kicked my ass too many times at chess. =o I still love ya anyways. You?re a good person to debate with when I need a little?idk, practice? Lol. Don?t know if that?s the word I am looking for, but it works for now. We may not see eye to eye on everything, but as a staff member, you try to do what you need to do to keep things going.
Reb: =) Perhaps my favorite of all the staff, not that I am really wanting to play favorites, but between you and Bra, I speak to you the most. You?re funny as hell, a great writer, and have one hell of an imagination. Dante?s Abyss? Sweet Jesus. I still have goosebumps riding up my arms from that. Perhaps exciting is too subtle a word for it, but whatever it is, you fucking delivered something memorable, and keep on doing it. I didn?t quite like you when I first showed up here, but you?re a great guy, I?ve come to realize. I had my head up my ass, and when I finally pulled it out, I figured out what kind of person you really are. Thanks for making me realize that.

Like, a sidekick or something. No, that?s not a hint, just how much I think working with you in there would be great. <3 I am still working on that picture, lol.

Kibbs/Sno: Why in God?s green earth did you switch? =( You writing as Kid Buu was perhaps one of the best damn things I have experienced, writing wise. After tasting the fruit of your imagination, I don?t think anyone else playing the same role could even come close to you. It would just seem?fake somehow. You?re still Kibbles to me. <3

But, to wrap this up, I just want to say, this isn?t me quitting, I just felt like I needed to say this, to get it off my mind, and let you know that you?re appreciated. All the work that has been accomplished here has been a delicate balance of members and staff alike, and without either element, we?re destined to drown, but because of you, look what we have created. There won?t be a place like this again, nor can it be duplicated.
Most of all, keep dreaming, creating, weaving together this world. For those who don?t think that you fit in, keep trying. That?s what we?re here for, after all, to keep fueling this passion we call writing. Live through the highs and lows, and stay excited for the future. Who knows what is coming next for us, what we can use to further the lives of our characters, our avatars. What may seem a black cloud now may have a marvelous, bright rainbow chasing after it, you just have to be patient, and see.

Yes, I actually read it. Seems to be a waning unlikelylhood for me as of late, but I gave it that much. I appreciate the words, and don't worry about the thing you were giving me. With the changes of late, I don't even know if we'd have been able to use it, or if it would have existed after some things here, so I feel a bit better knowing you never quite finished it, as it would have been for naught in the end but the entertainment of having done it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

But besides everybody else, you deserve credit as well. You have been an important part of the community. Both your rich roleplays and well done pieces of art have been an inspiration to all of us. You also participate frequently in OOC discussions as well. And most importantly, you have been a friendly person to most, if not all, members of our little community. In short, your one of those people without which Chubbs would never be the same again. So I hope you will stay for as long as you can.
