I already got PHP and Apache downloaded and running on this thing, it's just I can't seem to get them to work correctly. I've followed this manual to the letter, and the fucking thing ain't working, I'm just getting 404's left right and center at the moment, and it's getting on my fucking nerves! >.<

easyphp runs apache and php and in harmony.

it's been a while since i had to configure them myself. but if you're getting 404s then you probably have apache problems

Oh ok. Well, this book o' mine told me to download the pair of them (apache and php) then install apache, then PHP, then afterwards, go in and manually configure Apache to accept PHP extension's and everything.

I might uninstall 'em and try out easyPHP, might be easier (duh)

So, after just completing a section based on SMTP (which kinda worked and kinda didn't work *kicks stupid network*), I'm now moving on to a hard coded version of a price calculator before I hit on to the SQL shit.


Any one wanna take this over for me? I really dun fancy spending around 2 hours working on this straight ;.;

Ok, I need some help with this code.

I'm working trying to set up the PHP coding to show the $ symbol for currancy, but it ain't working. If there are any PHP wizes online now, please, for the love of god, check this code and see if you can spot whats up with it.

Are you getting an error? Or is it just displaying nothing?

It could be that you don't have the en_US locale installed.

Oh, I would try LC_ALL instead of LC_MONETARY though.

It must be a lack of files or something, because I even got the code off of the completed file and it still comes up wrong. Never mind thou, I skipped over it, and will shortly be dealing with SQL databases come the morning @.@
