Maybe Buus should start out with a limited form of regeneration and body manipulation automatically, with the potential to learn the rest of their racial abilities through extensive, hard judged Training threads. Most of those abilities are good shit that would require a Staff saga to get, so the ability to *train* for them alone, I think, would be a sort of Racial "advantage".

I don't think they ever said Buus had unlimited ki, in the same way androids do. They were just way stronger than anyone else in the show, so they were never really shown struggling. Supes did appear 'tired' when he first fought mystic Gohan, up until he absorbed Gotenks and Piccolo. The main thing Buus can do which is totally unique is decomposition.

I think it would be cool if all races started with one basic ability. Maybe Nameks get regen, Saiyans get oozaru, Androids get 'invisible ki' etc. Just my two cents.

I've been thinking of some random names to replace 'non-transformer/human', and the best I've come up with so far is 'Erroneous'. It works, but it doesn't sound very cool. =( 'Humanoid' sounds slightly better, but technically all the races are humanoids. I'll keep thinkin'.

And I kind of agree with you, Borgos. Demons would be a pretty cool race, especially if things like reptiles are getting their own race. But it's not as essential in my mind as separating Buus from non-transformer. =P

For the record, it's going to be quite fun possibly not starting with regen (yay for people not roleplaying Buu getting sliced and diced with every spar! Keke). I remember back when I joined I was very uncomfortable roleplaying stuff like Henka Beam, because it seemed godmoding as I hadn't really earned it. I even suggested, way way back, that Buus should maybe have to train for them, but that was rebutted by the 'it doesn't make a difference' thing, which was true I guess. Still, I'd rather earn them and have them matter for something.

I figured the name Generic Humanoids was good for them a couple months back... Its just that the majority of the staff thinks that doesnt sound good, even though its a better description then "Non-Transformers".

Personally I prefer Humanoid, or Generic Humanoid to Non-Transformer. It's still not amazing, but it's slightly better.

Where I got the 'unlimited ki' thing from was when Buu first powered up, and Gohan was all like "it's like he reached into a well of energy that doesn't end - but it felt... empty". But yeah, the Buus are shown as getting tired later in the show, so maybe not

The only possible exceptions to that might be people who currently have characters being able to keep something. This is completely undecided. I mention it only as a remote possibility.

Kami, King Piccolo and Piccolo were technically one character, but Namekian was a race. Then afterwards there was Guru, Nail and Dende, then a bunch of random extras.

There was Majin Buu, Skinny Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Uub, Majuub, and Mr Buu.

Since incarnations, or fusion's seem to count for Namek's it should for the buu's. So...that makes perfect sense to me. Also, you can't ignore their racial trait, Gum Gum regeneration is awesome!

Namekian was a race because there was a whole planet of Namekians.

Super Buu, Evil Buu, and Kid Buu were all the same chaarcter. Majin Buu was the only one that split off and actually existed at the same time as the others.

Uub, regardless of whether or not he was a reincarnation of Kid Buu, was a human. After he "fused" with Majin Buu he was still a human.

And yes Borgos, we'll be using the moniker "Generic" for races that are not Saiyan, Namekian, Tsufuru-jin, Reptilian, Android, Changeling, or Arlian.

*Shrug* Reptiles consist of Burter and Aqua, pretty much. Neither starred as majorly as the Buu clan, and they didn't have any distinctive powers besides Aqua being able to liquefy stuff (that was Aqua, right?). Not bashing reptiles, just giving an example.

The main thing, for me, that merits an independent race is being forced to classify them by their physical characteristics. I mean, I don't want to make more work for staff, but it doesn't seem to make sense to make an exception for one sub-race in generic so that they can keep regen and shit, rather than just giving them their own category.

Bottom line, those descriptions arn't all the work we did. Each race required a lot of time and effort and many different fieds. Adding another is just more work that we don't think is nessecary - yet.

We'll figure it all out later. Nothing is finalized. We arn't gonna shaft you guys for keeping your canons.

So yeah. I don't really think we need our own race, as long as we are given exceptions with those abilities that are natural to the character.

I don't want the reset to come around and people to tell me I can't have Regen or Body Manipulation or shit like that because I'm not Namekian. But since Burter said the stuff above, I really doubt that's going to happen.
