Needing Some Help(2)????!!!!?!?!?
#1
What a coincidence...me and Bebi lookin' for help on the same day.

Anyhoo, I'm workin' on my own site right now, and I was wonderin' if anybody was up for bein' a "Guinea Pig." As in, reading through the site, pointing out what you like, don't like, think needs to be changed, as well as making mention of every word spelled wrong or grammar infringement. Tell me where you think what should be moved to, why you think it should be moved, etc. I want you to tear my site to bits. Note: I know it's sloppy, mainly cos I do it every night when I get tired and can't think straight or type.

So if you're interested, PM me, and I'll send ye' the link.

What RPG is it, btw.

Well....it's not open yet, but it's a DragonBall RPG. I'm not gonna steal members, or anything like that, plus it seems, even if I did try to steal members, it would be a complete waste of time, because everybody is entirely loyal to this site. I might not let CDBZ people join DBZ Legacies (my site), period, to avoid suspicion. It all depends on an admin's ruling.

I don't know you, so I don't want to come off as mean here... but why do people keep making DBZ RPGs? There are SEVERAL good RPGs out there, only a few of which have decent member bases. The DBZ RPG community is not an infinite one. It brings in very, very few new RPers each year. Mostly, the people who do it are the same ones who have been doing it for years. Therefore, in order for a new DBZ site to be a success, you'd either have to (a) get existing members from other sites to join yours (not very likely, and damn near impossible to do, or (b) interest a whole new crowd into joining (even less likely).

Why don't people just devote their efforts to helping an existing DBZ RPG flourish? If there is something missing from the sites that are already up and running, suggest it. I doubt, of all the DBZ RPGs that enjoy at least moderate success, none of them offer something similar to whatever it is a person might offer with their own new verion of a DBZ RPG. It just seems like a waste of time to me, and has for a couple years.

Hell, I've been working with DBO/ Zensou for three years now and our active loyal member base is really only around 10. And I know pretty much all the active DBZ RPGs out there and, at one point and time, have frequented all of them (ic or ooc).

I'm not trying to step on your dream Pigero... just saying, why not devote your effort towards making chubbs (or another DBZ RPG) better, rather than making a whole new site from scrath?

"Step on my dream?"

Well, for one, this story takes place 15 years before Goku is born; about 30 years before DragonBall Z even starts. It also focuses on other races: for example, the Konatsa-Jin, a very minimally used race in the show, limited to 2 people, are one of the most important races. It focuses on Custom Characters rather than Cannon, though some cannon are available.

It also includes a fighting system which allows you to choose to fight either through words, or using the number system. The Legacy Point system is a brand new stat system which involves Power Level being a, possibly unreliable reading system.

More is available.

Did you not see my "Not Allowing People From Chubbs to Join?"
That's because I CARE about the growth of this site.

But after being on the site for around a month, give or take, and only really having a conversation with 2 people; still only being able to even begin 1 quest, not even finishing it because I didn't think it was already complete. There's also no real reason to even begin RPing, because pretty soon it will be useless.

I know what you're saying in regards to the reset here, believe me. Though the staff did come out with incentives to motivate RPing from now till then.

However, I don't see anything of the things you mentioned that isn't offered on other already established sites. The storyline angle, for example, is similar to ours on Zensou. There are a few others (I will not name them here) that also have some of the attributes you cited as unique to your new site.

And there still remains the problem of finding members... new DBZ RPGs are known for starting up and falling flat on their face for precisely the same reasons I stated earlier.

All I'm saying is, you;d be better off trying to find the RPG that most closely suits your desires, and then working with that website to help it grow even further.

And tom, if your sites were successful, where are they now? :-P
