Hey, Prince is pretty kickass. Did you see his solo in that George Harrison live show?

If Prince played the guitar, never sang, and never showed his face, I could tolerate him.

I don't know, I kind of like what he does on stage... but some people could argue that takes away from his guitar talent and it would be up for debate.
They took the Harrison thing off Youtube. Fuckers. You would have liked it, he didn't dance or sing. =D

Honestly, Hendrix is overrated, imo. Sure, it's good music, but highly overrated. Yay for drugs though, which is the ONLY reason he is what he is. He was creative, but still.
AC/DC is average.
Buckethead, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, all great guitarists.
And Van Halen. If you don't like Eruption, you are a failure.

Name another guitarist that could play with his teeth.

Jimi Hendrix is the greatest. His music was ahead of it's time because it was raw and uninhibited. He knew how to channel his soul through his guitar, which is something very few musicians can do. Buckethead is the only player I have seen that can do that recently, most other 'great' guitarists are known for their talent. Talent can't compare to the human soul; you can't learn or practice to the point where you can put all of your emotions into your guitar.
Not to mention Hendrix set a groundwork for damn near every genre of music to come out in the next 20 years following his death.
Zakk Wylde is the one that is overrated... pinch harmonics and pentatonic runs don't impress me. He is good, but doesn't deserve a spot among THE greats. Maybe a list of top 30 or 20, but top ten? gtfo

You could barely tell if he was actually playing it half of the time.

Actually, I am retarded. Buddy Guy was around before Jimi Hendrix, and was doing all the behind the back stuff first. Jimi actually got that stuff from him.
But w/e, that's not what Jimi is known for anyway. It was cool, but if he ever lost his teeth, his career wouldn't have suddenly gone away.

Well, since people think of Jimi when it comes to behind the back and using teeth he must obviously be better.
