A crisp jab cut through the humid air. It hit nothing. It was merely a practice punch. Gokua withdrew the fist he threw forward, back into his guard, which oddly resembled a boxer?s guard?Muhammad Ali, wait, no, maybe Mike Tyson pre-rape crime.
Perspiration trickled down all sides of his face, and began to seep through his now sweat-soaked purple headband. His eyebrows acted like a porch roof, shielding his eyes from the salty sweat, only giving it one option: to run off of the sides, down his cheeks. He had only been training for a little over two hours, yet his entire body glistened from that sweat. His clothes would have been wet, but he removed his upper body attire before commencing, leaving his chest and arms bare. His armpits released a foul odor along with the perspiration, which thickened the air. The stench smelled like a mixture of rotten eggs, onions, and raw lemons. It fogged the room with its sheer power, and urged to escape its entrapment. The worst smell, however, was that of his crotch. It smelled like the inside of a football player?s jockstrap that hadn?t been washed for four weeks in a row. It was that horrible nutsack odor. He trained on. Another punch was pushed forward?with more power and speed than the last. It sliced through the wind like an antenna on an old Cadillac. I must get stronger . . . He was determined to win this new Dante?s Abyss competition. In his perceptive eyes his team bounded him to defeat. He did all that he could, but he was disappointed by the surrounding cast?outnumbered soldiers, Android 16, Paragus, and one-legged Koola. History was not going to repeat itself; he was not losing again. He could still taste the loss. It was fresh on his taste buds, and every moment he thought about it the taste got stronger and bitterer. The only thing that could wash away such a defeat was a win?a win in DA07. He ceased. His body had reached its physical peak, and though his mind could have kept him training, he opted to utilize that energy for when the contest actually started. The training room was bland?gentle lavender walls and a tiled floor that had been overlapped with some cushions to reassure no injuries?evidently not created by the most artistic person in the universe. The door was of typical fashion?wooden, with a gold plated doorknob. The only thing that wasn?t typical was the twenty inch plasma television screen in the far left corner of the room. It hadn?t mounted to the wall, but instead it was holstered by a thickly knit cotton material. Wow, a television in a fucking training room. Earth?s influence on the universe never ceases to amaze me. Slowly, a humming sound emerged from the holes drilled on the side. The screen went from pitch black to a barely noticeable gray. The humming sound grew. Gokua wasn?t scared however; who the fuck is scared of T.V.? And if it did transmute into something much more disgustingly frightening, then the Pathosian was a victim of some half-ass Stephen King novel turned movie. It didn?t though. It simply turned on. Gokua crossed his arms as the screen began to form nonsense of pictures with no vividness. As time progressed, the picture became clearer, and what couldn?t be seen became visible. It was . . . Channel 45: News at 10. ?Today we look on at the sign-up stations for the ever infamous Dante?s Abyss competition. This new 2007 installment is just another frequency in the life of the competition itself, which can date back long ago,? the anchorman said. His eyes were locked forward, obviously staring obliviously at the teleprompter before him. He didn?t even blink. ?It?s a competition where warriors from all over the universe urge to be placed on a remote island where they use their survival skills to outlast the rest of the contestants. Essentially, a barbaric tournament only fit for the mentally insane and suicidal.? Awesome. ?This year the competition has grown in its popularity; it?s drawn in over one million hopeful contestants. But, as one of the guidelines state, only forty-four shall be accepted to participate, leaving over a million to watch it on their television screens.? The anchorman grasped the papers on the marble desk in front of him and neatly shuffled them, then gathered them back together without flaw. ?Now we go live to our own Susie CarMichael who is at the planet Vegeta sign-up station. CarMichael?? The television shot sporadic gray and black fuzz on the screen. A load sound erupted again, but this time it was a different sound; one like sandpaper being constantly rubbed against sturdy wood. Gokua?s eye twitched and his ears flickered. Then, abruptly, the picture returned; they were at planet Vegeta. ?Good afternoon Jacob Lewinski. Good afternoon universe,? Susie said. Her accent was heavy. It sounded like a sophisticated Japanese immigrant. That?s exactly what she was. ?We are at the Dante?s Abyss sign-up quarters, only three blocks away from the capital itself. Here, contestants sign-up for the most dangerous, yet popular, competition ever formulated. They?? The television had been destroyed; the screen shattered. Gokua had grown tired of the broadcast and launched a chi blast, destroying the picture. ?Don?t give a shit.? He grabbed his belongings and left the training room; his main objective when entering the training room was complete. ------------------------------------- OOC: Burts, if you want to enter, be my guest. Just have Burter stop Gokua from leaving or something. ![]() Placed 3rd in Dante's Abyss 08

((I?ve decided to change my storyline completely, so if you?ve read my sign-up post, just disregard that part.))
Planet Earth, a magnificent palace decorated with azure skies, sapphire waters, and emerald masses that house a population of constant change and evolution. The grassy plains weaved with the soft breeze; the ridged waters elegantly galloped toward the awaiting lands; and the mothers of the wild nursed their young while the males sat lazily in comfort. It was as normal a day as any other. On the opposing side of the planet, deep within a frosted island of Antarctica, the mass of clouds flowing over the zero degree oceans suddenly fractured as a circular window opened, revealing the blazing sun which burned eternal, for but a moment, before the dusky veil closed shut. The source of the rupture became visible as it lurched out from the hazy sky, descending upon a mammoth chunk of ice which sat motionless within the mysterious waters. The roaring thrusters at the rear of the craft dimmed as the ship leveled out and nestled itself onto the frozen platform. A plethora of steam purged from twin holes, screaming like a tea-kettle as a steel hatch unfastened and slid down onto the glacier?s peak. Suddenly, a cyan-skinned male figure was drug out from the airship before being tossed out like a sack of potatoes; he was badly injured and appeared to have been beaten to within an inch of his life, considering he was barely conscious. The beauty of his white hair was hidden beneath the spattered blood that decorated it. His clothing had also been ripped to shreds; almost nothing remained but the cloth that covered his private parts, luckily for everyone that portion was still in tact. Without a word the guards continued back to the ship and took off as quickly as they came, leaving the battered figure for dead. He was in the middle of no where, without any source of direction or composure. He was surrounded by an empty field of water and ice, without any signs of natural life. --- It had been seven long and painful years since that retched day. Now, for the better part of a decade, the same warrior that had been tossed away like garbage roamed the lands aimlessly, searching for anything that would prove his existence absolute; no such luck so far. He is actually still unaware of how he was rescued, let alone who rescued him; another piece of the scattered puzzle he wishes to collect. Fortunately for him, his untimely memory remained with him. Spice was his name; in his previous life he was a well regarded Lieutenant of the Sixth Division Retrieval Unit. However, as fate would have it, he defied the orders of his Commander and jeopardized the mission at hand in order to save the life of a small child. Such an act was forbidden, and where he came from, the consequences for insubordination were severe; Banishment, to be exact. Now, Spice resides within the spiral Galaxy where planet Earth currently holds the central populous. The Makyo-jin soon found that light was not completely vanquished from his destiny; he would not have to live life as a miniscule peasant any longer. Something big was coming, something that would alter his linear fate, forging a path to redemption and retribution. Dante?s Abyss would be his cornerstone, but it was up to him to use this opportunity in order to rise to the top and return to his home-world as a cleansed warrior; and to see his family once again. Trotting through the intercity walkway, Spice dragged himself onward; hunched over like an old decrepit man. The brown, blood-stained raggedy cloak that he donned trailed behind him and his crestfallen eyes remained hidden beneath a shroud of gloom. The traces of cyan-skinned that peaked out from under the tattered guise were also dirtied, as though he had bathed in mud like a swine. A familiar sound of fists against flesh sounded within his ear, sparking a chain of endless memories about his past battles almost instantly. He quickly jerked his head to the side, revealing a single crimson eye that gazed upon a sign that read ?Burter?s Dojo.? ?Time to see if I still got it?? thought the cyan fighter to himself. As he entered the archway he crossed paths with another warrior who shared a similar skin-tone, but their similarities ended there, for this warrior seemed rather egocentric in nature. The two combatants locked eyes; the orange haired fighter standing opposite of him gave Spice a complaisant glare before nudging him out of the way and walking out the door. The makyo merely sighed and continue to the center of the dojo and waited. What exactly he was waiting for was unclear at the moment; he was just?waiting.

The retreating sun was visible in distance; its end of day orange rays illuminated the sky over the Earth city. Pikkon looked skywards towards the receding sun, he stood motionless, deep in thought. He soon moved away, walking down the slowly darkening street he soon stopped again, this time it was a building that had caught his attention.
?Burter?s Dojo? the sign read. The green warrior let a smile cross his face. ?Finally something decent on this planet,? he thought to himself as he began to climb the small stairs leading the great wooden entrance door. Slowly pushing the door open, Pikkon moved inside hoping that the Dojo was empty, he needed some time to think and meditate. As he entered he immediately noticed a figure standing motionless in the centre of the dojo. Pikkon grunted as he walked towards the wall not wanting anything to do with this unknown warrior standing alone. As he reached the wall he noticed that he had caught this unknown warriors attention. The cyan-skinned warrior glared across the room at Pikkon as he sat down with his back turned towards the wall facing the other warrior. ?I?m not in the mood,? Pikkon muttered as he closed his eyes and began his meditation. As Pikkon sat breathing deeply preparing for meditation, he quickly threw his hood over his face, to cover his eyes. ?Pathetic,? he thought to himself as he began his meditation session. Meanwhile the lone warrior standing center dojo, kept his eyes on this new warrior that had entered the Dojo. But as of yet thought nothing of it. ---------- Pikkon was preparing for what he knew could be one of the hardest competitions of his life, Dante?s Abyss. Deep in meditation, Pikkon began to develop a plan as to how he would go about maybe not winning, but surviving. He felt the power of the warrior when he had entered the Dojo and knew that this stupid TV show would really not be an easy walk in the park.

The old Namekian made his way through the lobby into the dojo. He didn't intend to fight with anyone yet, and if he did he'd be sure to keep a low profile. No sense in getting worn out before the big fight even begins. He brushed past a few other combatants working away, taking jabs at invisible opponents or smacking a punching bag with an ironic kick.
He caught a few funny glances in his direction. He hid the smile and limped a little bit, his age showed and was apparent to the other fighters. Some of the more cocky young ones were somehow entertained by the fact that suck an old being was in their presence, but the ones who were more sharpened and hardened by years of training and experience were not as quick to cast judgement. The Namekian found an out of the way room, off in a corner and took a moment to stretch himself out. A couple slow punches in the air, a kick he caught with his hand and a slap back down to the ground. Nothing too fancy, nothing too flashy. Then he quietly sat down on the floor and closed his eyes. He went off to a state of meditation, aware of his surroundings, but at peace with his inner emotions. He slowly hovered up above the mat floor and took in a deep breath. He would wait for the tournament to start, this deep breath may be his last for a long while, so he had better enjoy it.
05-16-2007, 12:56 AM
A swift jab cut through the air, and then another. The meditation session was over and Pikkon got straight into the physical training. Determined to become stronger, he pushed out jab after jab, left fist, and right fist. The punches became faster and more powerful. The green warrior put everything he had into the attacks, and it was beginning to hurt. Sweat began appearing over the light green skin, soon his face was dripping with sweat, but he kept going.
?Stronger, I must get stronger,? Pikkon began thinking to himself over and over. ?No pain, no pain,? his face began to scrunch up, it was hurting but he kept pushing, left, right, left, right. As Pikkon continued his training a new warrior entered the dojo. Pikkon stopped briefly deciding it was a good time to catch his breath. He glanced over at the new arrival. An extremely old Namekian, Pikkon laughed. ?Hey bit old for this ain?t ya?? Yelled Pikkon as he wiped the sweat away from his brow with a small handtowel. The old namekian ignored him. Pikkon laughed again, ?Hey old man, you want to spar? I need an opponent in here. That is only,? he paused for a few seconds. ?Only, if you?re up for it in your old age,? Pikkon began laughing again. He knew inside that it was probably not the best idea to be starting a confrontation this quickly before anything had really had a chance to happen. But it was getting boring in the Dojo and he wanted some action. ?Come on a quick spar, I?ll go easy on ya,? Pikkon added. The old namekian turned to face Pikkon. The two green warriors stood starring each other down, the entire feeling of the Dojo changed, tension grew, maybe Pikkon made a mistake starting on the namekian, but if he did he didn?t seem to be showing it, a small smirk crossed his mouth as he waited for the Namekians reply.

A jagged knife ripped its way through the exposed throat of an opposing warrior, gorging on the sweet flesh of the unfortunate soldier. The victim fell motionless to the ground in a cold heap of fizzled life. The source of the kill quickly charged onward, leaving the fallen corpse behind; a fleet of fellow soldiers trailing close by as they trampled the decaying carcasses that laced the battlefield. The pitch red sky lit up with an eternal shower of streaming bullets while the violent booms of far-off cannons shook the nerves of every dwindling warrior; and the unbearable nose-flaring aroma of curdled blood and boiling innards infested the plain of war.
Suddenly, as the battle raged on, an infernal eruption of energy flared to life upon the peak of the crimson horizon. That very burst of power quickly evolved into a dome of decimation as it consumed the terrain as a whole, feeding into its mysterious, yet devastating power. After engulfing the entire battlefield within its inescapable field of destruction, the force vanished as quickly as it came; leaving nothing in its wake but a moon-sized crater as a landmark to forever seal its unflinching ferocity. However, it seemed that the malevolent attack was a mere prelude of what was yet to come; which became clear as a barrage of similar explosions began to purge from the planet?s surface and devour it entirely. It was then that the final blow emerged, bigger, louder, and much fiercer than the rest. BOOM! A pair of crimson red jewels shot open, revealing the pain and confusion that flustered beneath them as they quickly darted from side to side, trying valiantly to regain composure. Wiping his eyes redundantly, Spice managed to shake off the mental cluster-fuck; however his vision remained blurry for a brief moment. ?It must have been a dream?? the Makyo thought as his eyes slowly crawled to the opposing side of the dojo where a tall green-skinned figure sat, peacefully meditating, paying no attention to Spice or his current state of anxiety. Reversing his attention, yet another green-skinned character grazed passed and entered a separate room. Spice was beginning to notice a trend here. The Makyo?s focus was suddenly restored as a firm hand placed itself upon his left shoulder. Instinctively, Spice grabbed hold of the invading palm and tugged forward, hurling the source clean across the platform to a gentle, yet effective thud against the mat. However, the single dojo fighter soon multiplied into three as two of his comrades lined up beside him; but Spice remained unflinching as he rose to the challenge, quite literally. Even though they had not yet provided a reason for their sudden attack, they seemed determined regardless. ?It?s been a long time since I?ve done this?I cannot guarantee your safety,? Spice instructed, a slight smirk crawling to life over his face, hidden behind the deceitful veil of his raggedy hood. Without a word of response, the trio of challengers made a dexterous charge; the middle one took the lead, but was also the first to fall as the Makyo swept his leg out from under him and drove a knee into his abdomen, launching the trainee into the corresponding wall. Numbers two and three attacked with perfect symmetry, lunging forth with a swift roundhouse. Unfortunately all they caught was the adamant grip of Spice?s palms and before they knew it both fighters were upside down into the mat. Another fleet of scrappers tried their luck against the Makyo, this time their number was far greater. Excitement was flowing through every fiber of him, a feeling he remembered all too well, a feeling he had not adorned in too long of time; he simply thrived for more. His brutish nature slowly returned to him, which made him somewhat fearful, considering the tormenting past he was faced with every day of his life. Though it mattered not; his drive to fight increased as a blizzard of fists whisked through the air toward him. Bam! Snap! Crash! Slam! One after another, the combatants were downed at the whim of Spice?s rekindled spirit. Flailing about, the Makyo made quick work of his fool-hearted challengers. The ex-Soldier?s grin of satisfaction was soon butchered as the ground beneath him convulsed for a brief moment, as if a bomb went off outside, nearly lifting him off the ground. A similar stomp roared throughout the arena; then another, and another, until finally he felt an eerie presence standing just behind him; and low and behold, as he turned to look, his eyes met with a pair of bulging pecks. Reluctant to look up, Spice finally mustered up the courage; and as his head motioned upward, two squinty eyes returned a fierce glare. ?Uh-oh.?

Android 15 was starting to get bored of his surroundings in this room, with a deep sigh of boredom, he jumped down from his seat on the couch. He knew there would be places that contains action around "The" Dante's Abyss that would be interesting enough for the bored android. With that in mind, he left the bar and started at the Lobby.
15 has already arrived in a matter of moments, buried in his own thoughts. The android examined all the passages and smiled. He then covered his eyes with his right hand, and extended his left arm with his index finger pointing out. The android started to twist around in the middle of the Lobby seemingly to be doing some stupid ass exercise. The Android halted to a stop, and peeked out of his right hand, he had done choosing the passage. The tiny android started down into the passage he has just chose. He trotted down the passage joyfully, excited of the results and where he might end up. His sped passed a building with a huge sign. 15 noticing he missed something turned back and walked infront of the building. "Burter's Dojo" he read outloud. 15 put his head on the big wide window, and peered inside. Oooo, finally a place of my interests. A big smile appeared on the little man's face, as he cleaned his suit and entered. The intensity inside the dojo was even more pressuring from the outside. The android's mouth gawked open in awe as he saw everyone working their ass off in the dojo. He looked around to see a couple of strong warriors all buried into their own training not noticing the small android. Wanting his presence to be known, the android cleared out his throat. "I will defeat everyone of you in the game!" All the faces suddenly turned at him. The android crossed his arms and put up a smirk. All the warriors seeing who it was immediately turned back to their own trainings. 15 almost fell on the floor. How could these people judge me by my size!!!!!! The small fighter glanced up and noticed his hat was displaced. Oh... Maybe thats why. He quickly reached up and started to tilt it into the right place. 15 quickly reached down into his pockets and pulled out the silver can, and drank out of it to stabilize himself from everybodies reaction. "Ahem... Theres no eating in here"piped a voice. The tiny android, tightened his grip around his wine bottle before slipping it back into his pocket before he started any trouble in here. He then raised his hands up high to stretch himself as he picked out a good spot to look at everybody train, entertaining himself. OOC:I know its not much, and Im not the greatest RPer... But I would like any kind of advice or suggestions regarding the improvement of my RPing.. ![]()

Kami did his best to maintain the stoic look on his face. He really wanted to smile at the young fighter's request for a spar. The kid had no idea what he was about to get himself into.
He let out a throat clearing cough into his fist. "I suppose I could teach you a thing or two. Assuming I don't get too tired." The old Namek took a long hard look at his new sparring opponent. "My nap time is coming up rather soon after all." Pikkon seemed confident in his stance, he obviously wanted to spar and was intrigued by Kami's presence. Someone his age probably wouldn't be running around unless they knew something everyone else didn't know. Kami gestured to the room behind them, motioning for Pikkon to follow. Kami couldn't wait to have a bit of fun with this guy, so for now it was all going to be low key. Hell, he even might let the guy win. Hiding his sly grin, crafted by old age and a wise cracking attitude only experience could grant, Kami stood tall, one hand behind his back, the other resting at his side. "Show me what you've got kid."
05-16-2007, 05:02 AM
Kami made his move, motioning towards a small room behind them, obviously not wanting others to be involved. Pikkon stood firm in his stance, and continued to stare at the old namek. ?What was that remark about naptime,? he thought to himself, ?this guy better not fall asleep before we even start sparring.? Pikkon laughed at what he was thinking, but knew that this old namek would be no pushover but would very well prove to be a formidable sparing partner.
?After you then old man,? Pikkon jeered at the Namek. Kami politely entered the room first, Pikkon not far behind, closing the door behind him. ?Nice little location you found here,? sneered Pikkon, acting extremely confident, as he began jumping lightly from one foot to another. Kami stood at the other end of the small room still standing tall with both hands comfortable positioned behind his back. Pikkon realised that the old Namek was totally calm, and that his own trash talk had no affect on the obviously experienced warrior. ?Experienced? Pikkon thought, ?to put it nicely.? As Pikkon jumped lightly on his toes back and forth, preparing for the combat ahead, he looked up from the ground and into the eyes of Kami. Pikkons earlier cocky expression left his face, and a determined Pikkon emerged. His eyes closed slightly as his brow came down; he focused on his opponent. Pikkon stopped bouncing. He stood tall and strong again staring at his opponent. He began to announce his rules. ?Ok old man, listen up. Classic boxing rules, first one down for a ten count is out, otherwise anything goes, you ready?? And with that Pikkon launched himself towards Kami, aggressively throwing a right hook directed at Kami?s head. The old man still hands simply placed behind his back began to dodge Pikkons flurry of punches, simply moving his head and body from side to side. Pikkon kept punching; he smiled at his opponent as he continued to throw punches, not his strongest but just enough to test his opponent. He soon realised that old man had a power level much higher than his own. But this realisation did not distract him. Continuing to throw half-assed punches Pikkon knew that this would not be an easy task, as in his mind he began to plan how he could over-come this old warrior.

By now Fifteen had a taste of what the competition in Dante's Abyss would be like, and with that in mind, he started to prepare. He took out his reliable wine bottle, and chugged a mouthful, emptying the whole thing. He looked into the opening of the little silver can to make sure there weren't any left. A noticeable frown came across the tiny warriors face, he wasn't pleased. Fifteen was concentrated on Dante's Abyss than drinking this time, he made a serious expression and undressed his suit, revealing a super small size black tank-top. The small cyborg placed his suit and the wine bottle aside near where he was about to start his training.
Fifteen stretched hard and let out a lazy yawn before getting into a fighting position. He crouched down as low as possible, although he was already pretty damn short. The tiny android raised his hands and tightened them hard. In the same position he flexed his tiny muscles and let out a big yell. The yell was truly terrorizing, it caught everybody's attention. Seeing it was only the small android, everybody turned away and minded their own business, ignoring the small figure completely. The fist extended out, as the android threw a couple of jabs into the air. He followed the punches by a couple of kicks that was clearly used with equal strength. I will. I will prove to all of them that I can whup all of their asses. With that in mind, every shot he threw, every kick he sent became harder and harder. The seemingly weak cyborg pushed through limits and began to hit harder and harder. The thrive was good, the small android couldn't stop, it was his instinct which he was born with. Soon the android started visualizing the air as Goku, the man he was programmed and destined to kill. With each punch, he could already see the pain in Goku's expression and ugly grimace. "DIE!!!!!!" bursted Android 15 all of sudden. The android continued with the same rhythm. As he was training his killer instincts got to him. He no longer cared about what the others thought of him, he only had one thing in his mind and one thing only. Kill. The small cyborg was now in a crazed and berserk condition, there was no way of stopping the little metal man anymore. No doubt he was enjoying this. This was what he was, a fighter, a warrior, an assasin, an android. Fist after fist, kick after kick Fifteen's movement seemed restless. A wierd grimace appeared on the small cyborg's face, it was a menacing look. A menacing grin. The crazy assaults of the small man was now uncontrolable not even to his own self. Electric fields started popping as the android continued his crazy, aggressive and ruthless training. The thrive was great, the rhythm was grand. As the android kept training he started to lose sense. Soon Fifteen had passed out on the floor. -------------------------------------------------- Android 15 woke up 20 minutes later, he had no idea what has just took place. He felt stronger from both inside and outside. He got up to his feet and examined the dojo, everybody was still there training at their hardest. The small warrior smiled as he walked to where his belongings were. He picked up his suit, and dressed himself up nicely before picking up the empty wine bottle. The android slumped down, and sat there trying to remeber what had happened to him before passing out. OOC: God... I hope this works.. I got a lil carried away but hehehe, Suggestions and advice please

Good... Kami thought to himself. This young one was confident and enjoyed a good fight. The Namekian had just ducked the last of the punches that came his way and as one more left hook seemed to sneak it's way towards his face he stepped to the right and slapped the back of Pikkon's hand. The younger fighter had a suprised look on his face, which quickly went back to the determined furrowed brow he was wearing before.
"You're hiding something aren't you." he said to Kami. The old Namek took a small bow, his eyes never leaving his opponent. "It wouldn't be the first time." and with that he made a quick movement towards Pikkon. It was only a feint, and Pikkon fell for it, leaping backwards in preparation for a strike that never came. Kami let out a small chuckle to himself. "You're too tense kid. One of the things you learn to do with old age is loosen up a bit!" Pikkon was glad he picked a fight with this old guy, and was interested to see how much of his potential he was really going to see. They both rushed in, meeting at the center of the room. Going blow for blow with one another, the two seemed to be at a standstill. Kami wasn't landing any punches, Pikkon blocked the combos that came his way and sent back a few of his own. The volleys on either side continued with no obvious victor. The Namekian wise-ass let a combo slip past him, just to see how hard this kid was playing. The pucnes struck firmly, but didn't do much damage. He continued to take another barrage from the much younger fighter. He was having a little too much fun with the kid, so he decided he needed to punch him back. Pikkon was feeling more and more confident as the fight rolled onwards. Kami was loosing ground and he couldn't be happier about it. The elation suddenly turned sour as he was met with a new realization iin the form of Kami's fist in his stomach. The Namekian took several coldly calculated strikes back to the body of the younger fighter, not swinging any harder than his opponent, but hard enough to let him know he wasn't screwing around. Being old wasn't a hinderance for Kami, he loved to work it to his advantage when he could, but it usually didn't take long for actions to speak louder than words. "Good kid, that was pretty good. I can see you've put in a fair amount of practice." Pikkon said nothing. "But now why don't you actually try a little bit? We could do this all day, and I really would love to get to that nap."
05-17-2007, 12:18 AM
Pikkon now realised that this warrior ? Kami, was in fact going easy on him. He had landed punches onto the old man, but they seemed to have no effect. ?How can I beat this guy?? Pikkon thought to himself, but was unable to form a good solid plan of attack.
Glad that he could now have the opportunity to push himself to his limits Pikkon decided to go on the attack. Full attack - no holding back, straight at the target and whenever an opportunity presents itself hit as hard as you can. And with that Pikkon moved as fast as he could towards Kami, he began to throw a left hook, but as Kami brought up his hands to guard his face Pikkon?s body dropped down and he preformed a fast front sweep, catching the opponent hard on the front leg just below the knee. The older warrior stumbled over surprised by the younger ones attack, but managed to keep his balance. Noticing that the target was off balance Pikkon charged again, and again it looked like the left hook was coming, Kami again brought his hands up to protect his face and as he did Pikkon?s fist slammed into his protective guard. The two warriors looked into each other eyes; they both had a small smirk on their face. They knew that the fight had just begun.
05-17-2007, 09:30 PM
The spar was only now begining to get underway. Kami saw out a window in the room that there were some official looking people wandering around, probably rounding up the selected combatants. He thought little of it for the moment and resumed the spar.
Unfortunately, Pikkon had been paying more attention to the fight than Kami was while he had his look out the window and got punched in the face. The old Namek went reeling backwards, and took a shot to the gut, follwed by one the the ribs, then his shoulder, and back around again one more time for good measure. He decided since they were "boxing" he'd just fall down since he wasn't expecting to be attacked while he lay down. Pikkons face glowed with accomplishment as the Namekian took a spill down to the ground. He didn't expect the fight to be over yet, but couldn't help hoping that it was at this point. A drop of blood made its' way across the lip of Kami, dangling precariously at the edge before taking a suicidal leap to the floor. The Namekian caught the droplet in his fist, which he took a good look at for a moment. Pikkon looked at the fist too, and somehow didn't think that he was about to be punched by it. Kami came in with a quick zig zag pattern of movement and tossed a couple punches. They were a little harder to block than the last few, and if he couldn't deflect them the impact of a straight block as begining to reach a rocking pace and intensity. A bead of sweat wandered down the side of Pikkons head, but sadly didn't make it to the ground as it was anihilated by a happy little jab. Pikkons head wasn't very happy as he went flying down to the mat after another shot to the chest. He was suprised how hard the old Namekian could hit, but wasn't about to give up.

Pikkon was not surprised by the Namekians strength, he knew that this guy was no pushover and that to win he would need to do something amazing. Pikkon slowly pulled himself of the floor, up to his knees and then up onto his feet. He swayed back and forth a bit as he regained his balance. With his breathing now laboured, Pikkon was shocked that the Namekain caused so much damage with such few attacks.
?You know I won?t give up old man, so you?re going to have to do a lot better than that to defeat me,? Pikkon announced as he prepared himself for another round of fast hard paced combat. Suddenly the wooden doors connecting the little room they inhabited to the dojo burst open. Two official looking people stepped inside, each clutching a note-pad with names scrawled all over. Pikkon and Kami surprised looked over towards the intruders. ?Pikkon,? the first official began, ?you have been chosen to fight in Dante?s Abyss, you must report to the barracks immediately.? Pikkon remained silent. The official then looked over to Kami, he turned back to his notepad, looked over at it for a few seconds then lifted his head. ?Kami, you have also been chosen and will also be required to follow us to the barracks,? the official announced. ?We?re kind of in the middle of something here,? Pikkon said obviously angry that these officials just barged in unannounced. ?Could be perhaps have ten minutes to finish this spar, it won?t take long,? Kami added, calmly as always. The officials looked at each other and began to discuss the warrior?s proposal. Everyone was required to report to the barracks as soon as possible, but they decided to let the warriors finish their business before hand. ?Very well,? Stated the official, ?you don?t mind if we watch the show do you?? they concluded looking extremely satisfied. Pikkon didn?t want any intrusion but it was the official Dante?s Abyss people so he thought it would be ok. ?I guess so, take a seat over in the corner,? Pikkon replied pointing over to a few seats located in the corner of the dojo. The officials walked over to the seats and planted themselves comfortably, chattering amongst themselves they awaited the show before them. ?Only ten minutes left,? Pikkon thought to himself. ?I have no idea how I am going to beat this guy.? Not letting a worried mindset get the better of him Pikkon glared towards his opponent, he noticed a small trickle of blood revealing itself on Kami?s lip. ?That is it Pikkon thought,? he didn?t have much to go on and this tiny, tiny wound of Kami?s was the only advantage point Pikkon could find. As he prepared for his attack, he attempted to put the pain of the earlier blows to rest, his head still hurt like hell. But in combat there is no time for pain, so Pikkon got on with it.

Kami motioned for Pikkon to come his direction. The younger fighter dashed forward feverenly, intent on winning the spar. Kami knew they'd be leaving soon and didn't particularly care if the fight ended with a victor. The two officials chatted away, watching the fight at the same time. Kami wasn't going to show them anything special, not yet anyways.
Pikkon came in hard, swinging for the fences with each strike. Kami could tell he was wanting to win, but not totally exert himself either. Inbetween punches Kami tried to make eye contact with Pikkon, but the young fighter was too focused on his task to notice. Kami blocked another punch, and then slapped Pikkon in the face. This suprised the young fighter and he paused for a moment, waiting to see what was next. Kami stood in his fighting stance, breathing unneseccarily heavily. Pikkon looked closely, and noticed that Kami closed one eye and tilted his head at the younger fighter. Did he just wink at me? Pikkon thought Kami rushed in quickly, his arm stretching back to deliver a finishing blow. Pikkon stuck out a fist to protect himself and braced for the impact. The impact that never came. Kami floated right on down to Pikkon's fist, and went flying backwards onto the ground. He crashed into a corner and stayed on the mat. Pikkon was confused, he wanted to keep fighting but obviously the older fighter thought otherwise. He slowly sat up and waved his arms around. "Ok, I give, let's get a move on." Kami made his way out the door, following the officials out the door. He looked back at Pikkon and smiled, "Next time kid, next time."

Motioning for the two warriors to follow, the officials left the dojo with Kami right behind them. Pikkon stood in the middle of the small room, stunned at what had just happened. ?The Namek gave up,? Pikkon stood silent for a few seconds pondering the event that had just unfolded.
He knew that the Namek was extremely smart, and realised that even though he was the one to offer the challenge; it was the Namek who ran the entire show. ?Better get going then,? Pikkon said to himself as he jogged out of the dojo to find and follow the officials towards the barracks. Where the real competition was soon to begin. Dante?s Abyss.

Yamu and Kari walked along the boardwalk towards the training dojo until he got word if had made it in this year. The little girl tugged on his cloak ?Yamu?why are we here? I wanna go see space some more!?
?It?ll be there when we are finished, and we are here Ms. Impatience, because this is the greatest fighting competition in the Quadrant.? ?But, why do you fight?? Yamu finished buy a pair of corn dogs and the two sat down on a bench. ?There is a kind of purity to one on one combat.? He took a big bite and talked while he chewed, ?When two warriors face off against one another, knowing all the benefits and challenges, and put everything they have out there, there?s an indescribable beauty of a man, or woman?s,? he said with a smile to his young companion, ?spirit. To watch a fight is the only thing I know to inspire and disgust with equal power.? ?No?I mean why do you fight? You made Arlia so peaceful?you stopped the war?then you come here to fight?? She kicked her short legs under the bench while she tore of parts of the corn dog and placed them in her mouth. ?You are very smart for being very little. Arlia was and is different. The Arlians don?t want to fight, they want to paint, or have a family, or tend their farm. War isn?t fighting?it is just nasty business. While I can try and stop people from fighting?I will never be able to stop people from wanting to fight. Even on Namek, the most peaceful planet I would bet anywhere, practices a defensive form of combat. If I can give them the same cathartic?? He could see the word went far over his tiny companion?s head, ?release. If they can get the same release by watching shows like Dante?s Abyss, then maybe our Quadrant will cycle back to a more peaceful state.? A pair of giggling Saiya-Jin girls with pink streaks in their hair walked over and asked for an autograph. Yamu gave it to them with a smile then turned back to Kari. ?People should leave the horrors of fighting to people like me, people who have to because we can?t do anything else.? ?I wanna be like you, Yamu.? H smiled as he tossed the empty corn dog stick into the trash, ?Big, veiny, and scary looking?? The little girl giggled, ?No, silly! I wanna help people! You always seem to help people?I wanna be good like you.? ?Well, far be it from me to say ?no? to a sweetheart like you. C?mon, we?ll head to the Dojo and give you your first lesson.? ![]() Dante's Abyss 2007 Runner-Up

?Keep your wrist strait?and lean forward into the bag. You?re attacking, get in his face let him know who is in control.? Yamu gave out tips as Kari?s tiny fists pelted a trainer made for any minuscule competitors. ?There ya go, no circle around, keep ?em guessing.?
?I?m tired, Yamu!? She pouted, still throwing diminutive punches that barely moved the bag. ?You?re the one that wanted training. You don?t think I got this handsome overnight, do ya?? ?But this is haaard!? ?It gets easier, you just have to find the rhythm. What you want to do now is focus on your feet, get up on the balls and move with your punches?you want to?? A group of three very burly looking Saiya-Jins walked over from the other side of the Dojo, the leader had his arms crossed over his chest to display his massive forearms the size of most men?s legs. ?Hey?you?re that Yamu guy, ain?t ya?? Yamu raised himself from where he had been kneeling behind the tiny punching bag. ?Yeah, what?s it to you, punk?? Kari edged herself behind the bag to hide while the lead Saiya-Jin?s face grew grim at being called a ?punk?. ?Well, me and my friends here were wondering if you would settle a bet. Ya see, Liondale here thinks you won?t even make it past the bottom forty, but I disagree with him. I watched last year and well, I don?t think you?ll even get picked up for the competition this year!? The three tailed fighters erupted in laughter, the back two slapping their leader on the back. ?You couldn?t keep from fucking killing yourself for two days!? Yamu threw two fingers into the leader?s chest, cocking his head as he stared the rowdy fighters directly in the eyes. ?Watch your language around the little girl, dipshit.? The long maned fighter shoved Yamu?s arm down at the wrist, ?No one puts their fuckin-? before he could finish the swear Yamu?s other hand snapped into his throat forcing him back into the arms of his companions as he gasped for air. ?Kari?go outside.? He nodded his head to the door as he watched the three Saiya-Jins organize for a counter attack. ?The walls will keep the fight in here.? The little girl dashed outside, slamming the door behind her. She quickly found a cart someone had been selling fruit out of but had abandoned and wheeled it to under the one window into the Dojo to see Yamu in action. ?You done messed with the wrong guy, buddy?? Yamu began undoing the clasp of his cloak as he talked, his eyes closed and a smirk on his face. ?I am not your buddy, fucker. Now if you wanna fight, come throw a punch. All three of you will be bleeding and unconscious before my cloak hits the wall.? He finished the clasp and held the sixteen pointed emblem like a throwing star, the folds of black fabric hanging underneath. ?You cocky son of a bitch?? The three moved forward as a unified block, relying on numbers to overwhelm the vein covered titan. Yamu whipped the Regulator?s insignia forward through the three men towards the opposite wall. The sixteen pointed star spun, the force made the cloak spin as well as it traveled through the air, forming a floating black rose that breezed through the air. Yamu shot forward and the three Saiya-Jins now looked like they were moving through jelly to the lighting quick Guardian of Arlia. He came in low like a linebacker as the trio continued forward, barely moving through an unseen sludge compared to Yamu?s speed. He took on the smart mouthed leader first. Both hands enveloped the tailed warriors wrist, he pulled downward and twisted it at the same time. The pop of the joint was a precursor to the long haired warrior being tossed into the air. While he floated upward Yamu took a quick step towards the Saiya-Jin to his left. He ducked the fighter?s outstretched fist and drove an uppercut directly to the chin, shattering the jaw and sending the brown haired lackey sailing into the air just behind his leader. Not even looking behind him Yamu spun backwards kicking where he knew the third bully?s knee would be. His heel cracked into the back of his knee cap, then he spun bringing the top of his other foot into the man?s forehead dropping him to the ground limp. Yamu dashed to the other side of the room and snagged the spinning star from out of the air. He straitened his back and slowly attached the cloak around his shoulders as the last two Saiya-Jins hot the ground only one beat apart. The ebony eyed human walked outside and brought Kari back to their training area while he waited to see if an old friend would show up. OOC: Burt, PM me if you don?t mind Yamu saying hello. ![]() Dante's Abyss 2007 Runner-Up

Jeice meandered without goal through the busy stations that made up the pre-show of Dante?s Abyss, crowds of faces floated past his vision but he did not recognize a single one. He fiddled with the ends of his gloves, pulling the material even tighter around his hands so that he did not look lost, as l as he was doing something he might not look so out of place. The red skinned warrior turned a corner and finally saw something he recognized, a Dojo. The white haired fighter made a direct line for the training rooms, he was comfortable here, relaxed, he knew this kind of place.
He canned the room, seeing the usual group of pathetic todies that he could beat without breaking a sweat. There was one odd thing, all of the men and women were on one side of the Dojo, a large vein covered man and a little girl practicing on a miniature bag occupied an entire half to themselves. Jeice looked closer and saw that three of the fighters had large welts and some gashes they were nursing in the bleachers, all six of their eyes, well the ones that weren?t closed shut at least, shooting daggers at the bald vein covered man. There was a fight here?the one guy, the girl maybe? no not her, took out those three hard enough that everyone else is scarred to be around them? Jeice smiled?if he was going to make friends, they might as well be strong ones. He walked over to the lopsided training pair, ?You need to move more.? The large man and the little girl both looked up at him. His red lips curled back in a surprisingly warm smile, he took the same kneeling position as the man and put his hands on the girl?s narrow hips. ?You have to move, you?re to stiff. You look like you are about to take a punch, you have to give that feeling to the other person.? He began to move her hips back and forth the stood up again to make the motion with her. ?Always move in a fight?you stop for a second, boom.? ?That is some good advice, my name is Yamu, you?? ?The name?s Jeice. So was it you, or her that gave those three guys their lesson?? The little girl laughed. ?Silly..it was Yamu?I just started. My name is Kari.? Jeice bowed low and shook her hand with a playful formality. ?Pleased to meet you.? ?So, Jeice, have you been accepted in the Abyss yet?? ?Just got my confirmation a little bit ago, but I?m holding off going to the barracks just yet.? ?Same here, why don?t we show my new pupil here how real men fight? Those three over there had bigger mouths the power levels.? Jeice cracked his neck while he flexed his fists, ?I could use a good workout before the main event. Just don?t expect me to go easy.? Yamu just laughed as the both walked out into the center of the Dojo. ![]() Dante's Abyss 2007 Runner-Up |
