Day One: Early Morning
#1
Day One
Midnight - 6:00 AM

"Ladies and Gentlemen," came a voice on the intercom in the VIP Room. "It's Karl Jak here! I hate to interupt, but we are above the island. The game will begin in 20 seconds! Your location will be marked on your map! Good luck!"

It was dead night on the island. The only sounds in the distance were crickets chirping in the forests.

Until Forty-Five warriors were teleported to random locations.

"Can everyone hear me?" Came Karl's voice on the megaphones across the island. "Welcome to your new home for the next seven days! Here is all you need to know:

Find each other. Kill each other.

If a winner is not found in seven days...nobody wins! So let's not let that happen, kay? Good luck, kiddies!"

The game is on. Probably a lot of fights gonna happen as groups find each other and the number of parties lessen. With that in mind, probably not a whole lot of deaths today, even if we have lots of fights...but I'm sure someone will fall victim =o

Basically, what I mean is: I'll be going easy on eliminations because I know right now there are 44 different travelling parties, and fights are inevitable. However, that won't stop me from killing your character if you're really outclassed.

Anyway, it's gonna be night time. The moon will gradually go down as the sun threatens to come up towards 6:00 AM. Collars are officially activated.

Remember, don't go too crazy on RPs. I'm all for reading, but don't make my head explode. I'd rather read four small roleplays then a novel.

Face to Face

Burter

Krug

Footsteps could be heard to the left almost as soon as Karl Jax's voice disappeared from the intercom. Burter remained knelt down in the middle of the road as he listened. Someone was running...fast. They were looking for a fight.

The reptilian stood up and discarded his cloak. The moon was shining from directly above him, giving off some night around the area. There was a hill to the left, where he could hear the footsteps. His circular eartubes gave him the heads up that the footsteps were closing in.

A large, topless man appeared from the top of the hill, running at full speed. He halted only to stop and glance at Burter, who was fishing for the weapon he was assigned in his bag. "Krug see you!" The man announced. "You fight Krug!"

"So much for a chance to take in the view," Burt muttered, grabbing the two sticks in his bag. The strap dropped his shoulder and hit the ground as he clicked the quarterstaff together. Krug, a monster of a man, hit the ground with a hard thud, landing perfectly.

"Krug SMASH!" The man declared, and proved his point by hurling a mammoth-sized fist towards the skinny reptile, smashing into the left side of his golden-topped head. Burter hit the road hard, literally tearing into the road's pavement. The lizard-man rolled up, only to take another hard hit, much faster and harder then he expected.

Burter smashed into the street, causing a small crator as he took the hard hit. It was insane who fast the man was, given how...stupid he seemed. Burt struggled to stand, even after just two hits, but fell to a third.

"You bore Krug," The man announced. "Krug find challenge."

With Krug's over-abundance of speed, he charged off, running at full speed. Burter again struggled to stand, shocked at the turn of events.

If there were people like Krug on the island, this game wasn't going to be as easy as he thought.

"Ally", Pikkon returned, giving Retane a curious glance.

It was then that the clock rang and told that the time was nearing. With a slight head gesture, the renegade turned and headed straight to his foot locker. He opened it and in it were many things, the most being rolls of sharp, wicked nails. Also in it was a map, a compass, and a scouter along with some rations. The scouter, something the mercenary only used to communicate with his comrades, was weaker then his own, and useless to him and he tossed it deep into the bag without a second thought.

His senses were far more better.

He looked long and hard at the Nail Gun pondering if it was as useful as his Deck of Cards. He personally didn't think so but stuffed it into his pack anyways. He truely hoped he was wrong.

Right before the final dong sounded, the mercenary caught the glimpse of Tapion, the young konat he had met before, and he too seemed different in his eyes...

:FLASH:

----

The collars had seperated everyone from their position. The assassin understood that as he looked around and remembered his last years bout.

The air was crisp and cool. The sky was dark and the moon shown brightly across the vast plain. He was alone here, and forty-three victims were out there, desiring to meet their death. It was night time, and the perfect time to strike while his momentum was built up. The rush of adrenaline set the namekian into a frenzy. He whipped his cloak off and let it fall to the ground. Syntech could replace it, or he could create him another one. There was no use having something to hang loose and let himself be seen if it flapped in the wind.

The mercenary sniffed the air, it was fresh, blood had yet to be spilt, but he wanted to change that. He clasped his legs and wrists, in quick recession, and removed the weights that would hinder his speedy movements.

Along the way, he knew he might need some allies, but also knew that he wanted that first kill to extinguish the burning rage inside himself that yearned for blood. The mercenary glanced at his compass and his map then placed it back in the bag. He growled low and darted off heading south, crouching low as he went. He was the Dark Hunter once again, the predator, hunting for some prey. After all, thats what part of the game was, killing and surviving. To survive you had to make sure your enemies were eliminated.

And along the way... he ment to do so!

Serenity

Yamu felt awash in a sea of calmness. Last year, he had already been flying off the handle, cursing the game and his own involvement by now. Not this time though. He breathed in deeply the smooth, clean air, an air untouched by civilization. He set his survival sack down and began to rummage through, he had learned last year that serenity could be taken away quicker in Dante then it could in real life. The veiny titan refused to be caught unprepared.

He pulled out the scouter provided to him complete with a black lens. ?Just the way I like it.? He mused as he placed the ki sensing device over his left eye. He fiddled with the controls?it had been awhile since he had last used a scouter so he went ahead and took the time to acquaint himself once again with the simple interface.

Next the ebony eyed Earthling pulled out the map. The juggernaut?s eyes had quickly adjusted to the low light from the moon and the map was readily visible to him. His map troubles the year before had caused many spouts of internal wrath and destruction. He had cursed himself up and down for not being more careful, for being idiotic enough to eliminate himself from the game. This time serenity was on his side. He carefully unfolded the glossy sheet of paper and put the compass on it. Yamu was no cartographer but he could find North and line the map up with it. This year he refused to take himself out. Preferably, he wouldn?t be taken out at all, but death at the hands of a worthy adversary beat suicide any day or night.

Finally he slipped his hand over his unknown weapon and unsheathed it from the bag. He smiled as his eyes ran over the intimidating melee weapon. He had not really expected to get this?hell he did not even remember reading it off the list, but it felt good in his hands, it felt?powerful.

He hefted the thick cylinder and took a swing, slashing through the air with the long blunt edge of the weapon. ?Who hoo hoo!? He expected to nearly toss the twig, but instead it held a nice heft as if specially designed for fighters of his caliber. He twirled the wooden weapon like a sword, spinning it one handed to his side in a large circle, ?I think I?m gonna like this?? He took a few more practices swings, smashing his new club through the air with a purpose.

Yamu stopped and held his assigned weapon in front of him admiringly. ?You need a name.? He felt good. The weapon felt good. Serenity told him he had a bond with this weapon. A name was the best way he knew to solidify that bond. ?I think I?m going to name you?Kari, yeah?Kari. That sure beats the hell out of calling you ?Baseball Bat?!?

Watching the live feed from the Midnight Rising the small human girl whom Yamu had just named his weapon after squealed with joy. She ran from each member of the crew to the next, talking through gigantic rolling giggles, ?Did you see that? Did you see that? He named his weapon after me! After ME!? The crew and the Arlian Regulators onboard smiled and indulged the girl, who quickly ran back to the screen. Kari Nor refused to miss a moment?she was waiting for her special signal?

Yamu sat down and set the bat across his knees. He charged a small ball of ki onto his right index finger and with the care and grace of an engraver set to work. With a mother?s patience he used the heat from his ki ball to etch in flowing cursive the name ?Kari? across the head of his symmetrical club. He blew of the excess wood shaving and smiled, this game was already starting off far better then last year.

He neatly folded his items back into the bag. Serenity was on his side this year, serenity and a sense of purpose. He slipped the straps of his sack over his shoulders and hefted the bat once again into his hands.

Yamu smiled into the motionless woods as he began to walk, and even the Arlian Guardian himself could not tell you if it was jovial or malicious.

?Now?to go find some friendly faces??

Reaching down Tapion plucked out a small innocent blade of grass from the dry earth beneath his feet, placing the light brown root of the small plant between his rainbowed lips the konat?s steady gaze continued to take in his tranquil surroundings. A faint soothing breeze swept gingerly across the plains causing the nearby trees and bushes to rattle ever so gently. The irony of such a beautiful island, a place seemingly carved from the very myths of paradise themselves, to soon play host for a literal blood bath brought a small grin to the non-transformer?s face.

Well? the crimson haired fighter thought to himself, daring not to speak aloud for fear of any near by contestants overhearing his vocals. Might as well see what I?ve got to work with. As if to punctuate the last word of his sentence Tapion flung the small black DA appointed duffle bag -which he had found on his bed in the barracks- from over his shoulder onto a small patch of dirt before him.

Quickly unzipping the small fabric coated container and shuffling through its contents with his free hand, Tapion pulled out the first item of interest which his gloved palm brushed over. An almost apple sized piece of machinery with an attached glass lens tinted a light shade of green. A scouter as they were so called back in the civilized world.

Placing the small mechanical device over his right ear with the green visor also positioning itself before his eye, the crimson haired fighter gently pressed in the sole button on the side of the contraption. From prior experience Tapion knew the function of these things was to detect the ki signatures of near by life forms, but the outdated model he now wore atop his face only flickered a momentary message stating ?No readable powerlevels in distance?.

?Must only work for short range?? the non-transformer caught himself speaking accidentally aloud under his breath. It didn?t matter though, he knew he shouldn?t be staying in one place for long anyway. As quickly as he had unpacked his parcel of goodies Tapion just as swiftly zipped the black bag back up and slung it over his shoulder once again. The half crescent moon still lingered high in the sky, but in no time at all daylight would be looming, and one thing the mighty Konat-Jin did not want to be was unprepared come the first signs of the morning sun.

Still in the signup room, the young Saiyan by the name of Reijin was casually looking around. Most of the rooms were empty, going into a variety of small rooms for people to prepare themselves in. His attention leaped to a museum nearby, a place of knowledge that one could learn more about how the game worked. However, he wasn't interested in the reminder of his tragic loss. Turning, he began to move into the dojo, but a young fighter grabbed him on the shoulder. "Hey man, which of these guys on here do you think I should be worried about?"

Stopping, Reijin gave a quick glance at the paper before beginning to walk away. Then he did a double take. The list was the names of the fighters that were involved. Scanning over it, he recognized a few... Bra... Vejita... Vejita had come out to play again, it seemed. Reijin would be sure to find him. Raditzu was on there. He was unable to finish, however, as his bag suddenly felt lighter. "What the hell?" he growled, swinging his bag around to find that Saiba had dissappeared. A gutteral noise escaped him as he stormed his way through the crowd, intent on finding where the little creature had run off to.

It was that moment that he found himself suddenly thrust onto the island.

Just as he remembered from the past, he blinked and was once more standing on a field of unnatural feeling grass, looking off into the distance as he realized how open the plains were. He was a fish in a glass barrel, and he didn't like it. What's more is his bag once more felt heavy. Without bothering to look inside of the bag to see what he had within it, he decided he needed to put his safety first. Standing in the open was nothing more than suicide. He realized that he had an ancient build of Scouter unit once more placed onto his face and sighed. "You have to love how they snatch the rug out from beneath you, eh Saiba?" Silence was his response, and Reijin blinked, realizing that his every devout follower had been seperated and they had not allowed the two of them to be together.

"That's interesting. I guess I should have tried to bargain with them. If anything I could have offered them their lives in return..." he mumbled to himself as he scanned the skyline. "Ah well, I guess it'll be ok..." Running his fingers through his hair, he realized that he was growing sentimental once more and threw his bag back onto his shoulders and tightened it into place, beginning his hike. To his knowledge, noone was nearby.

A loud explosion detonated the sky, from the west, and the sonic boom announced to everyone that the game had indeed begun. "Welcome to Dante," he smiled.

The last time he was in Dante?s Abyss, at least he thought it was the last Dante?s Abyss, he was attacked shortly after arriving on the planet by a group of five. It wasn?t that he regretted the encounter, since it was always fun to take on a group of powerful fighters, but it was important this time around to stick it out for a bit before being eliminated- otherwise he?d never find ?it?.

?I can?t read this; it must be in some strange alienese.? A confused look set upon his face as he tried to understand the instructions for the weapon he?d been provided, which may have been easier to read if the saiyajin had them right side up instead of upside down. ?Ehh, I can just bash my opponent with it!? Kakarot noted as he crumpled up the paper and tossed it.

A quick scan of the current area didn?t reveal any hostiles, and since his Ki Sense was being dampened by whatever external source existed on the planet, Goku took it to mean he was in the clear; and so he dashed off headed east at a remarkable pace- given that he couldn?t fly.

Trees blurred into a green and brown mess as he tore through the wilderness, sometimes arriving in empty fields which he skipped across to save time since it wasn?t a good idea to stay out in the open. Although, he had to admit it was very convenient that he didn?t have to lower his power level which made travelling easier since he could go at full speed without having to worry about being discovered- as long as he didn?t run through any tree?s.

?Shouldn?t be too long before I reach my first destination,? he said after tucking his map away. ?Hopefully I can have a little fun while I?m here.?

Glancing around, Pikkon looked to the north. A full moon hung low in the sky, its image being replicated atop the sparkling sea. Pikkon moved forward towards the waters edge, he kicked a small rock into the water and watched as the ripples slowly spread out across the surface.
?What a beautiful sight,? the green warrior thought to himself as he took in as much of the beauty as he could, knowing that this was the beginning of what would very probably be a massacre of blood and gore.

With his supplied bag hung over his right shoulder Pikkon began to rummage through with his left hand, searching for the map. Pulling it out, he noticed he was right on the edge of the island, most likely away from most of the action.

Picking out the generic scouter from his bag Pikkon placed it over his right eye, pressing the small red button on the side the small green screen in front of his eyes flashed into action. ?Quite a few powerful warriors on this island,? he thought to himself as he noticed a few power levels located around the island.

Scrummaging again through his bag, the only thing that was at this point in time familiar to him, he pulled out his designated weapon. Laughing to himself he scrunched it up and placed it in his pocket.

?Not the weapon I would have chosen, but it will do nonetheless,? Pikkon mumbled to himself as a little smirk crossed his mouth.

The last item Pikkon retrieved from his bag before closing it again was the compass. Looking down at the map in hand, he knew where he was and knew where he wanted to go. But along the way would he find friend or foe? Eager to meet each Pikkon took one last glance over the beautiful ocean and the shinning moon before turning to the south and heading of to meet his destiny.

Face to Face

Kakarot

Gokua

The ears of the blue alien flinched a little bit as he heard very fast thumps on the ground. He hardly had the time to get his bearings and figure out what he was doing before the footsteps stopped and the and door to his building opened.

Gokua had originally started in the middle of a box-covered building, and had only the chance to check his bag before someone intruded into his area. Obviously, someone was looking for a fight quickly. Using his speed, he ducked behind a row of boxes.

The footsteps continued slower, with a whistle to go with them. "Anyone in here?" Came the voice, "Yoohoo!" It was definetly male, and it was definetly someone fast. "Man, how boring." That was when Gokua heard the footsteps stop. He looked up and realized...he had left his bag in plain view! "Well, this is interesting."

Gokua hated revealing himself before he had an idea of who the enemy was, but he stepped out anyway. The saiyan warrior spun around to see his teal-shaded opponent, immediately clinging to his weapon in one hand, which was originally on his waist. "I'm here," Gokua declared.

"Awesome!" the spikey-haired man grinned. "I'm Kakarot!"

"Don't care," Gokua said. He moved into a crouching position, "Let's just do this, alright?!" With a tearing speed, he lunged at the spunky saiyan warrior, raising his fist and growling with thirsty ferocity.

"Whoa!" Kakarot winced as he barely leaned backwards, just enough to avoid the fist. He blocked the oncoming attacks, mainly kicks and punchs, showing his defense against the blue guy. "Man, you're fast!" He complimented, even though Gokua had yet to hit him. Finally, he threw a punch of his own, smashing into the chest of the alien and sending him backwards.

As Gokua hit the boxes and crashed behind them, he mentally planned in his head how to tackle this foe. Kakarot wasn't going to be beaten directly. It was going to have to be done with a trick. His hand moved to his weapon, which had been in his waistband. This was gonna be tough.

Kakarot jumped onto the fallen boxes as Gokua rolled to his feet. This time, it was the blue one who blocked the punches, using a knee to push Kakarot back. "Got you this time," he muttered, bringing his weapon up.

The pointy end of the rounded spork peirced into Kakarot's unsuspecting shoulder, causing a sudden penetration into his skin. His eyes bulged as the pain hit. "Ouch!" He yipped, backing up as the blood trickled. Gokua didn't let up, jumping forward and jabbing Kak with his elbow. The saiyan hit the wall of the building, thudding.

"Got you!" Gokua said again, moving forward and raising the bloody spork. He came face to face with the rifle-shaped weapon of Kakarot.

And a spew of fire hit him in the face.

The sudden burst from the flamethrower caused Kakarot get thrusted backwards into the half-opened door. It literally ripped from the hinges and he rolled out, hitting the ground on it. Meanwhile, Gokua roared in pain as the fire burned into his eyes.

Kakarot could have taken the chance to eliminate his opponent, but it didn't seem like much fun anymore. Where was the sport in killing someone who was blinded? With that in mind, he took his bag again from the doorway and sprinted off.

And while Gokua growled in pain, his sight starting to return, Kakarot whistled as he ran.

Retane stared his foe down, wondering if he should show his weapon or not, but never did. They were only inches away and Retane offered his hand out. Tapion accepted it. The two had met each other before on a mission during earth, and now again they fought side by side. This was Minoshia's older brother and Retane knew that with the ally he could reform the Horsemen!

The mercenary felt his soul whole once more and let out a deep growl as he looked about pondering huis senses. He reached for his gun, and heard Tapion reach for his. The merc was no longer saddend, but excited, hoping for poor victim to approach. He heard others far off in the distance but was more concerned with right now. He would not allow another to destroy what he had grown to love and enjoy and now that he had a slim chance of building it, he wouldn't let it go. He knew he needed Tapion to assure it of him as he reminded him of Mino and was an inspiration.

The emerald warrioor looked about, stalking around before he finally looked to Tapion.

"I wish to restart what you brother disbanded. You can be with or against me." His words wer cold and pure. The mercenary didnt take the tme to listen for an answer, for he sensed a rustle in the bushes. He crouched low and darted to the side. Perhaps it was nothing. But it might be something.

An owl flew away far before h got to it, and the mercenary tucked low, pondering who or what was out there.

With a bright flash the elder Namekian left the comfort of the library. He was standing alone on an island. The only sound reaching his ears was the sound of the wind dragging itself across the brazen landscape. He quickly looked through his bag, checking to make sure his weapon was still there. Pulling out the new scouter inside he put it on his head. With a click it beeped to life, scanning the area around him. Using the moonlight he took a look at the map in his bag, trying to figure out where he was and where he should move to. He took a look at the other supplies, which weren't quite as important to him, but useful nonetheless and closed the bag.

As the moon shone brightly in the empty soulless sky Kami ran a finger over the collar around his neck. Yup...I still hate these things... he would have to do like he had before and ignore the collar. It was simply motivation to continue on with the battle.

He put on his bag, making sure it was secured to his back. It was suprisingly calm and even with his sensitive Namekian hearing he hadn't heard the sounds of a scuffle yet. This meant it would be a good time to enact his plan. Last year wasn't easy on him, and he wasn't expecting to recieve any better treatment this time around.

He tried to gain as much grasp on his surroundings from the soft glow of the low hanging moon. It's solitary duty in the sky reminded him of how he was now on his own once again in a very hostile enviroment. He closed his eyes and took in a deep cleansing breath. After a long exhale he opened his eyes. Taking one last look around Kami took off running. He wasn't too worried about being seen in the dark. They wouldn't know he was there until it was too late anyhow.

The board was set. The pieces were in place.

Game on, baby.

Bardock hit the ground, adjusted the shoulder strap on his bag, and kicked off running. He tapped the device on his face, fingers grazing the collar around his neck. His coal black eyes scanned the darkness of his surroundings.

?Scouter, map! Location!? he harped.

The green screen displayed a digitized version of the Dante island map. It was similar to the previous year, but some of the locations had switched around, and more landmarks had been added. A tiny blue blip appeared where he was, and was moving fast.

The day had barely just begun, but he was on the move. With forty-four contestants, it wouldn?t be at all difficult to find some of the slower ones right off the bat. The map was filled, and now was the best time for action. It would be an early morning rush for everyone: those scrambling to find their alliances, those uneasy about their starting location, or simply others who were thinking the same thing Bardock was. Fighters would be vulnerable alone. The roughneck had to take advantage of this. It was a ripe opportunity that had to be seized without falter.

Move fast. Strike hard. Kill anything that moves. No hesitation.

The saiyan mentally drilled the concepts, keeping a laser focus. His shifty eyes scoured the horizon. His ability to sense energy was stripped away, leaving him without a large proximity of awareness. Whether he found him or they found them didn?t really matter?death was nigh. The viewers gorge themselves on the bloodshed, or tingle with excitement over the many encounters that were sure to come.

They were out there somewhere. Bardock was sure to find them.

Move fast. Strike hard. Kill anything that moves. No hesitation.

A shudder of exhilaration coursed through his body. He could suppress a smile no longer. The thrill of the hunt overcame his self-control.

Come out, come out, wherever you are.

Kakarot?s sudden stop upon arriving at his destination caused a resounding sonic boom, as all the air pressure he?d built up running was released. It expanded outward in a dome shape creating an illusion as it ripped through the air and was loud enough to signal his existence to the entire island. In hindsight, Goku thought, it had probably been a better idea to slow down before coming to a complete stop- but what were you going to do?

A few stone buildings stood lined up, side by side in a perfectly even fashion before the saiyajin fighter. They were a little weather worn, and housing a number of broken windows (Which had likely been broken only moments after Goku?s arrival), but in otherwise good shape. What lay within them, only the D.A. producers and announcer would likely know; however a quick investigation would change that.

?Seems I?m the first one here,? he muttered to himself as he strolled towards the building closest to him. ?I better raid the place before anyone else gets here otherwise I?ll have to share.?

The saiyajin warrior stopped suddenly, only moments after opening a side entrance door and quickly scanned the interior- though his ki sense didn?t work any longer, he couldn?t shake the instinct that someone was there. Kakarot called out repeatedly, attempting to garner some kind of response from whomever it was that had hidden themselves from him. After a few moments of silence he was about to give reluctantly give up, but just than a bluish-green creature stepped out from the shadows and announced himself.

He appeared to be a little high-strung, and though Goku attempted to talk to him nicely, the fighter lunged at Kakarot without warning and initiated the fight; it was fine though- he?d expected that this would happen at some point.

A few quick exchanges occurred between the two warriors, neither of them really gaining an upper hand on the other until Gokua sporked the saiyajin in his shoulder and forced him back. Unfortunately for the teal skinned fighter, Kakarot reflexively used the weapon at his side in an attempt to smack back his assailant only to spray liquid fire into Gokua?s face- temporarily blinding him. The spiky haired warrior felt a pang of guilt at his actions, as he hadn?t intended on doing that and in his mind it completely ruined the fight.

?Sorry about that,? he muttered to Gokua who roared in pain, but was likely unable to hear anything other than his cries.

With a sigh, Goku picked up his bag and decided to leave and not finish off the fight since it wasn?t very sporting to try and destroy blinded enemy, especially when it had not been his intention to blind the man in the first place. Hopefully after he?d healed they?d get another chance to face each other, but in the meantime he was off in search of a new opponent and possibly ?it?.

She squirmed; a familiar feeling tingled in her lower abdomen. The sloshing of water echoed in her ears, and the lone cry of a seagull accompanied it. The waves moved in and out, and again, with their continuous noise. Trickling and lapping and never stopping. The girl?s thighs tightened, and in her snoozing she could not help but toss to one side. Wetness enveloped her ankles and wiggling toes. Like an explosive device igniting she snapped her eyes open and frantically the blonde had to do the ?pee pee? dance, sitting down even. ?What the hell!?? her cry could rival that of the screeching seagull roaming the shore. It didn?t mind crying back at her. ?Oh shut up!? she bit down on her lip, with much effort she struggled to her feet, while her knees locked and she squeezed her thighs together in an effort not to shame herself.

There were only a few instances that could rival the relief that was this. Of course for a woman, it wasn?t exactly easy to do in the wilderness. Regardless of how she saved her panties, she did, and that was what mattered. If she hadn?t found her awfully struggled foot impressions in the sand she would never have found her way back to the wide open world. The trees were thick where she had gone to, and she quite preferred the sandy beach. The darkness of night was bearing down on her, which had her shivering, despite being thankfully dry. She stared down at her feet, and contemplated the fact that she was shoeless.

?Again with the collars,? she tapped the metallic fashion crisis on her neck. ?Maybe bondage suits me, too bad I don?t have a mirror.? Her gaze swept along the crisp waves and upward to take in the twinkling twilight. The luminous moon was slowly sulking down into oblivion. However, the clouds did not shy from cresting its gleaming edges. It was rather beautiful. The blonde pondered on whether ones birthday could be during a specific time, perhaps a time such as now. The moon would be a perfect addition to ones? birthday. She had to nod matter-of-factly.

Her toes curled into the sand, and this was how she happened upon a random and pointless seashell. She just as pointlessly picked up the discarded thing and decided to pocket it. A deep breath filled her lunges before she moved onward along the coast. She wasn?t so stupid as to have forgotten the pack that had so mysteriously materialized with her on the island. She had concluded that this was indeed an island, due to the fact that islands did have seagulls. She assumed as much anyway. The arrogant bird just happened to shriek as that thought crossed her mind. Eighteen wondered why they weren?t sleeping. Perhaps they had had a nap too, that was a possibility.

There was no particular plan in mind, seeing as she was rather absent minded. Well, one idea was that of roasted seagull, but she lacked the proper abilities to capture one of those noisy fiends. It was an idea for next time. There was one interesting thing about all of this, and that was the contents of her pack. She had taken to snooping through it. She considered the act to be snooping?even though it was hers. Really, though, it wasn?t. The fact was, the contents were intriguing, and mind boggling, but in due time she would bang it on a rock or something. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan. So as the android that was numbered eighteen meandered across the soggy beach in an eastern direction, she fantasized about cooking a certain fowl that chose to serenade her as she adventured.

Slowing down from an adventurous jog to a cautious walk Pikkon peered over his map, only visible by the slight glow illuminating down from the full moon high above.

?There should be a town up ahead,? Pikkon whispered to himself as he raised his head searching for signs of the upcoming town.

He knew it was ahead, so once again the mighty green warrior began jogging towards his destination. As he jogged he began feeling a tingling sensation over his entire body. A familiar experience but one not unexpected, it had been days since he had last been engaged in combat and his body was itching for a fight. Adrenalin began to surge through his body, muscles began pulsating with hunger and veins pumping so hard the felt like they would surely explode; Pikkon now, was looking for a fight.

Reaching the deserted town, he stopped on the footpath. His breathing was heavy and his body felt as if it would implode. He attempted to slow down his breathing, to regain his own concentration. He was like a drug addict, needed a hit every few days otherwise his body would just loose it. And his drug of choice was combat, hardcore straight up hand-to-hand combat.

Slowing down his breathing the green mans mind slowly began to clear the rage began to disappear and as it did his concentration and focus began to remerge.
?I scare the shit out of myself sometimes,? Pikkon chuckled to himself.

Walking down the footpath he wondered if there where any other warriors hiding themselves amongst the city, if there where they would be in for quite a surprise. Pikkon was at this point in time not one from walking away from a fight until it was over, completely over.

He could not see inside the buildings due to the lack of light, so exploration of the surrounding buildings would have to wait until sun-up. Until then the green warrior decided to find a nice little place to sit and wait. Ready if anyone unfamiliar appeared, and able to see if any familiar people emerged close by.

Walking behind a medium sized building Pikkon proceeded to climb an old rusty ladder that he guessed led to the roof. As he reached the top of the building, he placed his duffel bag onto the ground, opened it up and took a quick swig of water. Replacing the water back into the bag Pikkon sat down quietly high atop the building and watched down across the deserted down wondering when he would first see a fellow warrior.

The moon still hung high in the night sky, it would still be a while until the moon died and the sun rose. That's when Pikkon knew the real game would begin. Sun-up.

"Mr Cell Junior is here!" exclaimed the tiny monstrosity who materialized in the VIP Room of Dante Abyss with other warriors from around the universe.

The numerous warriors within ear range of Cell Junior's remark gave an eerie look to the winged creature that stood a mere 4'5" as he navigated his way through the fellow colossal opponents who he would face off against in due time.

'Where is the bastard?' snarled the childish monster as he made his way around the room looking for Commander Broccoli of Dante who had placed a chip on the young warriors shoulder since Dante's Abyss: conquest. Unfortunately the search turned up nothing as the loud speaker rang out, piercing the numerous conversations taking place in the lounge.

Quote:"Ladies and Gentlemen," came a voice on the intercom in the VIP Room. "It's Karl Jak here! I hate to interrupt, but we are above the island. The game will begin in 20 seconds! Your location will be marked on your map! Good luck!"

"Argh!" growled Cell Jr. as he began to dematerialize from the lounge with the other warriors. 'I'll get you Broccoli, oh I will,' smirked the creature as he disappeared from the room.

It was pitch black as the blue freckled boy appeared on the island of Dante, all that guided him was the moonlight which rained down upon the island unopposed. It was quite the night for some early action, and Cell Junior hoped he would be the one to be the first into battle.

As the non-transformer began his Dante Campaign, he stumbled forward as he spun around to eye what had tripped him up. "Oh, a bag," stated CJ as he reached down for the strap. "Forgot we get one of these, good thing I tripped over it," chuckled the former Outcast Commander as he continued his march.

"You've got to be kidding me..." With the bag open, CJ reached in and pulled out a cardboard box. "What the hell is this shit? There's only one thing I can actually do with this besides shoving it down one's throat," whined the boy as he began setting up his new box.

Moments Later, all that could be seen was a cardboard box with branches sticking out from all sides inching along the grassy land as the leaves from the branches began to dance in the breeze that swept across the land.

'Ku, ku, ku' laughed CJ as he continued inching along stealthily as if he was invisible to all.

Vegeta had been escorted inside the building and told to fill out some registration information. The records of his pervious attendance apparently needed to be updated. He sat in a comfy, oversized black chair and filled in the lines on their sheet. He hating writing, it wasn?t that he was incapable or uneducated, he simply considered it secretarial work and beneath him. He filed in the bare minimum before the man returned to collect it. ?This will do nicely. We?re about to start though, so you should get ready!? The man excitedly handed the prince a bag full of miscellaneous items and shoved him through the open door. The saiyan put his foot through the doorway but instead of stepping onto the tiled hallway his foot landed in grass.

The dark sky rushed in around him, the ocean crashing beside him. After the initial disorientation had passed he glanced quickly through the bag before pulling the map. A dot blinked dully at his location, he decided it would be best to not remain a sitting duck and head out towards someplace less suspicious. Placing the map back into his bag he decided to investigate what else they had sent him with. There was a minimal amount of food and water, easily enough to live for a few days without starvation. At the very bottom of the bag he found a compass (his first thought was to crush it and see if the parts could be used to injure someone else) and the familiar eyepiece, a scouter. The Prince snatched the device up and affixed it in a comfortable location. If he was going to be out wandering he wanted to be able to see what was coming. His internal ability to detect ki didn?t seem to be picking up anything and he knew the collar was interfering with it. Vegeta tightened the bag closed and threw it over his shoulder before running down the hill towards any visible landmark.

?Now if I could just find some saiyajin.? He grinned, it was good to be back in the game.

All forty-four fighters had been teleported to their areas during the late hours of the night. Dante?s Abyss had officially kicked off.

A drunk female began performing her Drunken Shadouken. The victim of her assault was air. What had the natural recourse done to deserve this? She had finished the entire bottle of Don Perignon at the barracks, all by herself. Now, she was staggering from left to right in a drunken fashion, thrusting her fingers in the air, lazy red eyes wondering from left to right, behind and in her front. She then used one hand to pretend she was sipping on more wine, while her right palm sharply cut through the clear night air. Her feet kicked forcefully through it, left, right, back, forth, excellent body coordination. Though nobody was in sight, her vision saw differently ? many people trying to attack her, none other than 43 DA contestants, all charging towards her at the same time.

As soon as she defeated her imaginary foes, she tossed the imagery empty cup of wine away and then collapsed to the ground, face smothered on the items in her bag, believing she was lying on a comfortable, squishy, thick velvet pillow. In reality, her face had squashed the soft bread in the red bag. She would regret it in the morning. Her eyes then closed, with a pleasant smile on her face, pleased with her performance.

A familiar gay voice then spoke. "Can everyone hear me?" It was none other than Karl Jack through his megaphone. However, in her drunken condition, she was not aware who it was. "Welcome to your new home for the next seven days! Here is all you need to know:

Find each other. Kill each other.

If a winner is not found in seven days...nobody wins! So let's not let that happen, kay? Good luck, kiddies!"

This is her version of what the man had just finished saying. ?Blah blah blah, blah blah blah fucking blah!?

As the morning sun was burning. Raspberry peered around seeing sea and a lighthouse, he walked in to see if there was anything usable in the lighthouse. As he went in he sat down on a bench and opened his survival bag.

?Water, Bread, compass, map, scouter, ki shield? Well the shield seems to be good for this place...? The reptilian thought looking at his stuff, he placed on the scouter already just in case.

He ran out from the lighthouse and started to look at his map, he scratched his throat and noticed a collar, the collar felt annoying it was like Raspberry all the time wanted to touch it. He was cautioned all the time he was not going to be attacked, there was no way. He walked by the lighthouse in circles.

Rasp could feel the breeze of the wind blowing in his face, there came a feeling that there would be nothing to worry about... But that was not the reality there was 45 characters running at the island wanting to kill each other. His eyes started to itch, the reptilian was worried about getting eliminated a bit too early, but he was going to try his best. Raspberry needed a little bit of room to breathe as he started to remember that this was pretty much what had happened on his old planet, a huge war which might have just killed all of the relatives of the grotor-jin, the whole race was maybe even gone?

?But if I?m the only one left...? I won?t let myself get killed in this damn game, if I?m the only one!? The gator-like alien thought, it was like fire and blood covered his eyes. Must not get killed was the main objective now to him as he thought he was the only one of his race alive anymore. To Raspberry this felt as it had happened before but with not him fighting and not this many different types of fighters.

The clock ticks life away, and the reptile knew he had no time to waste he was going to have to fight for his life only to win. Raspberry felt as if it were a good thing making traps if something would happen.

?Naah that would take much time... Maybe if I find a better place,? The alien gator thought.

?I've tasted sorrow on my tongue, now I want some other people to feel that too...?

That was neat, Rae?s voice echoed in Bujin's head as he found himself standing on a beach. The blue man clicked his tongue at the sound of the female voice, but he decided not to say anything. What could he say ? it was neat. How he could be standing in an annoyingly crowded barracks one moment, and then be thrust onto a new, entirely peaceful scene was beyond him. All he knew was that the game was bound to start eventually, and the killing would commence. For now, though, he would just sit back and enjoy the scenery. When would he be able to again?

Bujin looked around and saw his oh-so-useful bag lying next to him. He extended the nearest arm in an attempt to grab it, and he did so. Unzipping the bag, he opted to just dump out all of its contents. The sustenance came out first, then the scouter and his weapon came plopping out next. Bujin winced at the event, realizing that a careless action like that could have crushed the scouter, leaving him metaphorically blind. Luckily, his weapon didn?t even make a scratch on the scouter, and all of the items came out in one piece. Fate would have to wait another time to foil his random plans.

The waves are pretty, Rae sighed dreamily, Nothing can ruin this setting ? nothing.

Then Karl What?s-His-Face?s voice voiced echoed across the island, provoking an eye roll from the former psychic. Bujin had a nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach urging him to listen to what the man had to say, but frankly, he didn?t feel like it. He knew the name of the game ? and more importantly, the rules ? so the chances of Karl telling him something that he didn?t already know were pretty slim. However, one sentence did manage to break through Bujin?s shield of apathy.

Find each other. Kill each other.

?Nothing can ruin this setting, eh?? Bujin laughed at his imaginary friend.

Shut up, Rae growled. Just get up.

So he did. The scouter revealed what he recognized to be the map of the island. He knew his location, so obviously, he knew that there was a lot more land to be explored. Reaching up to scratch an itch that had been bothering him since he landed on the island, he found out that either his neck was made of steel, or something was covering it. Grabbing the collar, he tugged on it lightly.

Don?t do that! Rae cried. Jesus, Bujin, how careless could one person possibly be?

Bujin vaguely recalled hearing about the collar?somewhere. He remembered something about explosions, but that was about it. Thinking about it, maybe Rae was right. If it somehow exploded, he would be too dead to even regret doing it. Shrugging, he began putting everything back into the bag and picked it up. He didn?t like the thought of killing people while carrying a man bag, but he would figure something out.
